Connor and Maisie hosted an impromptu bottomless brunch for us this afternoon. The space was great, the food was delicious, and the cocktails enhanced the Saturday afternoon feel-good factor. The fun service model added to the enjoyable experience..

Im sorry i dont agree with anyone who wrote a glowing review about this RIP OFF RESTURANT ! I took my son for sunday lunch today there , as i thought it may be half decent, on reading the reviews, we had booked a table for 14,30, and had to wait about 3/4 of an hour before we recieved our first starter, they came fairly quickly with the drinks - pepermint tea and a coke, - the pepermint tea, was lovely and a good price £3.00, the cola about the same! My son and I ordered a starter, my son ordered Bbq- ribs- ( £20) which turned out to be a rather nasty frozen piece of sweetcorn warm, cut into four bits- covered in some BBQ sauce- i did query their description ,as RIBS usually means meat, andI was livid about the fact ehy just said well theyre popular, I wasnt happy at all as i was paying, and my starter was pan seared scallops, - more like pan burned scallops, served in a rather nasty carrot sauce, both dishes were barely warm !!! not nice at all , maybe its me but people seem to happy with poor wuality food and happy to pay a huge price for it too - !! The Main course, i ordered the vegan pie and roast veg, ( supposed to be rosemary roast potatoes, i couldnt detect the rosemary at all ) the vegan pie didnt come with a yorkshire, so i had to buy one a the extra cost of £1.50 !- the food was again barely warm , - and my son ordered the pork belly roast, supposedly duck roast potatoes , he said they were horrible, and he said the pork belly crackling was like leather, and there was a huge piece of fat in it too, he took the crackling home for the fox, and the fat home for the dog, and he left most of the veg, and the gravy on both wasnt nice, it happend to be the hottest thing ,so we used it to heat up our food ! The veg was cabbage and peas mixed, and they didnt cook the cabbage well , and roast carrots, it looks ok in the picture, but it was barely warm andand didnt taste nice, and i was charged £75, for both- so £37,50 each , now for that price i would expect a decent Sunday Roast, IT WASNT DECENT ! IT WAS NOT NICE, plus they seemed to be hurring us up , as they wanted to bring the main out with the starter, and they were not busy !! There was about three other couples in the restuaraunt, I am horrified!! We decided not to waste any more money as they on y had two deserts neither of which we fancied, and the cost of the food left a nasty taste in my mouth - i wont be comming back , and i will tell everyone i i know to give it very wide berth - RIBS £20 - SWEETCORN COVERED IN BBQ sauce!!! RIP OFF MERCHANTS !

Sunday Lunch was a big dIssapointment and i felt a complete rip off!! My son ordered barbe que ribs to start which they chargeds £20, it was warm , and four bits of chopped up( frozen , not even fresh sweetcorn covered in bbq Sauce- i did pull then up about their description ! Ribs- it was sweetcorn, no meat! I ordered pan seared scallops , they were warm too and they had some horrid mushed up carrot sauce round them and tasted burnt . Next my son ordered the belly of pork roast, and he said the cracking was like hard leather , and the veg was roast carrots , cabbage and peas ,and duck fat roast portatoes ,- and some awful gravy . He took the cracking home for the fox, and took a big load of fat home for the dog, , for that they chage about £21- he had a cola and i had two pots of pepermint tea, which at £,3.00 per pot was better thn the whole meal. I ordered the vegan roast, which was warm and comes with what they call rosemary roast potates, you cant taste or smell the rosemary , the vegetables were horrrid and the gravy was nasty too , the gravy was hotter than the food, ! I think they were trying to get rid of us as they wanted us to have our starters and the main at the same time. The restuarant is supposed to be a little up market - well its down at the bottom of the market and id rate it pretty down at the bottom of everything too ,. We waited 3/4 hour to be served , and they ony had two deserts , neither of which we fancied - The whole meal came to £75.00 for my son and myself and IT REALLY ISNT WORTH THE MONEY ! Sorry Mr Fox, but we didnt enjoy your food at all, and if averyone else gives them a great review all i can say is that they must be used to some pretty rough roasts ! The vegan roast doenst come with a yorkshire, you have to buy that extra !! The only thing i really enjoyed was the pepermint tea, and my son said ' Its a real rip off and really not great !!

I have been to Mr Fox a few times now for drinks and have eaten there a couple of times. Always lovely, everything is very well presented, the staff are always polite and friendly and they will do their best to get to you even when it's super busy! Had a lovely Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago, delicious food and outstanding service! We were welcomed and seated promptly by the manager, Conor, who was very friendly and attentive in getting us anything we needed. Service was swift and all food arrived on time, hot and tasty. I have been coming to Mr fox for years, its such a hidden gem in Croydon! The cocktails and food are excellent, service is always friendly and personal and the decor is really premium - highly recommend!

Sharing roast - We heard great things about the roast at Mr Fox and wanted to support somewhere local. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. Over cooked potatoes, very small portions of each meat, lacklustre veg (just boiled) and an underwhelming yorkshire pudding. I’d put it up there with the worst roast I’ve ever had. Really lovely staff and nice setting but that’s about it for the positives.

I was entertaining a work colleague who was here from the USA. Thought I would take her to the best Bar in croydon. It didn't disappoint! The food and drinks were great and they even had diary free ice cream ! Thanks everyone I will be back!

Have been here many times for a Sunday roast and enjoyed it but the service I received here yesterday was absolutely diabolical. Came here with a group of 8 and the problems started as soon as we sat down. Firstly the restaurant was pretty empty (maybe about 3/4 other tables) despite this service was painfully slow. We ordered drinks, one of my friends ordered a peppermint tea which came in a pot, when she poured it into the mug a massive fly came out with the tea - great start. Then the starters slowly came out which to be fair I couldn't fault, then started the looooong wait for our roasts. Our table was booked for 3.30 and the first roast didn't come out until 5.30, wouldn't have minded if it was worth the wait but honestly was the worst roast I've had in a long while. Cutlery was laid out on the table and my knife looked like it hadn't even been washed to the point where it left food stains on the napkin it was placed on top of. I had the mixed sharing roast which included pork belly with soggy crackling, anemic looking chicken, "roast" potatoes which looked like they hadn't even seen the inside of an oven, over cooked yorkshire's and everything was just luke warm. This wasn't even the worst part though, my partner ordered a vegan roast and was served MEAT gravy with it. Luckily I challenged it before he poured it on his food as the gravy looked suspiciously dark and the same as everyone else's but was reassured by the staff that it was vegan gravy. The waiter then came back and said let me double check that for you before returning again and confirming that it was in fact meat gravy and there was no vegan gravy available. No alternative was offered, not even ketchup and he was told he would have to eat the cold roast as is. Another member of staff then came out and said the vegan gravy would be available in 4 mins. We ate because we were hungry and the staff were apologetic and removed our service charge (which we weren't going to pay anyway) but overall and extremely disappointing experience.

We’d all attended the venue for a brunch that was advertised as an all you can drink Garage brunch, however no garage was play during the event, it was just a Spotify playlist of ‘old school pop’. When we asked to talk to a manager, we were meet by a male member of staff who literally couldn’t have cared less, that we’d attended an event that hadn’t occurred . He said the DJ had phoned in sick and ‘what was he meant to do about it?’. We explained we’d spent over £10 more than any other local brunch, because of the DJ and some of us had travelled well over an hour to be there. We also explained there were garage brunches happening in other areas of London that day we could have attended but choose theirs. He said he’d speak to the owner and get back to us. He never even returned to deal with the complaint but sent a waitress. Who said ‘she was sorry it’s the second week in a row they’ve phone in’. So they clearly had time to think of some kind of solution to the problem (a suitable playlist, informing customers of the change etc). They offered us a free round of cocktails after we’d requested this as compensation. When these arrived, the were alcohol free juices. Overall an awful experience with rude management

Came for a Sunday roast and the meal was amazing. Great staff and service, all of whom were very cheerful, in particularly the waiter Jack who was very attentive to my allergies.

I Was unable to complete a booking on their website because there was a glitch. Emailed, called, nothing. However there were reservations available so I went there but they said there’s no food available, only for reservations. I said there are reservations on your site? So I’d like to book one. They said it doesn’t make a difference cos there’s no food. The manager didn’t even ask if I’d like to book another day to apologise for the confusion. They said it’s not their issue even though there were slots available on their website. Unhelpful and rude.

I was part of a large party who went to the bottomless brunch, earlier in May. I went open minded, as I have been to larger bottomless brunches, at bigger venues, so was not sure what this was like, as this was a mid-sized bar. The Positives It was a nice venue, with a good layout The cocktails were good quality and undiluted The food looked good, with clear instructions about pricing The Manager was very professional The Negatives Not enough staff to cope with our party's drinks requests One of the two serving staff, got into a disagreement with someone from our group and refused to continue to serve - I appreciate that he may have been upset, but there was a better way to deal with the situation The DJ left earlier than we expected, due to another commitment - although nothing was stated about the duration of his stay, it was a shame, as he helped contribute towards a party-like atmosphere. Based on previous my experiences in Croydon, which are years old, my first impression of Mr Fox, was that this venue was a hidden gem, and perhaps would have remained so, for different reasons. However, maybe it was just because of the quick turnaround demands of our party; lack of staffing(?); an off day (?), but I wonder about the venues' ability to deal with a big, lively party, for their brunch offer, as we were not an exceptional group. I say this is because, there were two other brunch groups, that were quieter and more reserved, (no more than 4 people in each), at the same time as ours, but their service and interactions appeared to run a lot smoother, - perhaps more in line with Mr Fox's capacity.

The place is nice but dont waste your money on a beef roast. Got measly two slices of beef (think a little larger back bacon slice), potatoes were old and starchy and the yorkshire pudding wasnt all the way done. If a meal costs £20+ id expect it to be more than this.

Love the Sunday roasts at Mr Fox! Guaranteed great spot to take friends and family as it always impresses! Vegan/vege options are excellent! Staff are really helpful and friendly too - thanks Macy who served us this trip! 😊 We will be back!

Hands down the BEST Sunday Roast in Croydon. Delicious! Puts others to shame. Friendly & welcoming staff who are always on the ball. Big cocktail selection with some unusual & unique offerings. Blue Moon on tap, lovely! Highly recommend. 10/10 every time.

This is just the perfect place to eat and drink. I’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. The staff are superb, the atmosphere is warming and.l the food is exceptional. 100% hands down the best roast in London.

A French beer and a Mexican tequila? Must be from our new favourite bartender Rene! The only Mexican with a French name 😅 what a legend. Honestly though lovely bar to hang out in on a Saturday in Croydon.

Took my wife with the kids for Mother’s Day, and we had a lovely meal and time. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

It was hard to get the servers attention and they just didn't seem that bothered. The food looked better than it actually tasted. The roast potatoes were over done and too hard. We went for the mixed roast and the portion of beef was way too small. The vegetarian Wellington went down well.

My husband, dog fitzy and most recently our new baby are all regulars at Mr Fox. We love the food, the drink selection but mostly we live the staff! Eva leads an excellent example of friendly and professional service, and Tommy who has a soft spot for our dog is the sweetest looking after us each time we visit. Its our go to for all birthdays and special occasions because the food is always consistently brilliant, fresh and impressive to non Croydon-ers! Croydon-ers already know how great this place is - or they should!

We had a nice time but the toilets were disgusting (assume because of people drinking too much at bottomless brunch - vomit in the sink, two toilets out of order and the only toilet that wasn't out of order was gross). Not really what you expect at 4 in the afternoon! Am sure is great if you're drinking but I wasn't so went elsewhere to somewhere you could use the toilets. Good service though and nice surroundings, just the state of the toilets really let the place down. Maybe avoid when there are "bottomless" deals on

Oh I wish it could be sunday, everydaaayyy 🎶 Probably one of the best Sunday roasts i’ve had in a very long time. the portions were so generous and so so so delicious—i’m salivating just thinking about it 🤤—it was truly sublime. the team is also really lovely and accommodating. they have great attention to detail and treat guests with upmost care. I cannot wait to work my way through their menu 🤌🏾

Ordered the all meat roast. Came out looking really impressive and tasted great. All the meats cooked well including the chicken which was very moist. Would recommend.

Really disappointed with our experience for my birthday. I let them know it was for a birthday and that we would also need a highchair. I asked for particular table which we didnt get and asked for a high chair 3 times. It was freezing ad we got sat next to the fire exit door. People were sitting with coast and scarfs on. Our drinks were pure alcohol not a cocktail and when i said oh its 2 for £12 they went no not tonight, it was on the board outside. We waited an hour and a half for our mains which were 4 burgers. 3 being vegan and one meat one., the order was wrong and 3 dishes were wrong. They didn't even understand they had 2 vegan burgers on offer and then the waiter said i didn't take your order, regardless your bringing me the wrong food. In the end when they finally realised they had bought the wrong food they said we can re-do it. They must have been joking after waiting that long we just took what we had. My dad had to eat a non-vegan burger. Our booking was at 6:30 and we left at 9:30, we booked it early because we had a child who in the end had to stay in his coat. We than waited and waited to pay and ended up paying as we went out.

It was my second visit to Mr Fox. I was really looking forward the delicious Sunday roast I had before. Although, the food tasted delicious, unfortunately the portion was a real joke. After 45min waiting for the main course I received a very thin, small slice and a half of beef. When I showed it to the manager she said beef was their most expensive cut of beef. When I tried to explain that in any case portion the portion was way too small, she tried to offer me a couple of pints on the house. I refused the offer, just point out my feedback to be passed to the chef. I left very disappointed, tho. Giving free staff it’s not always the right way. I received better service from the waiter that was in charge of our table. If there were running short, would have be better be honest that make people pay £21 for half a portion of beef.

Food was very basic roast potatoes were enidible had to leave them on the plate they were not fresh and were hard as rock gravy was awful very thin no taste Chicken was unseasoned whole meal had to be thrown away Drinks were nice but very expensive I would never eat here again food was expensive and quite awful I had vegan wellington which I ate because I was hungry after waiting 1 hour for the food If it wasn’t for the fact that I was at a birthday dinner I would have refused to pay. Carrots had grit on them like they were not washed properly Cauliflower cheese was nice. Two separate waiting staff had quite unpleasant mannor. Yorkshire puddings good only part of the meal that was decent. This venue should not sell roast dinners either chef can’t cook or stale food is being served calling manager for refund.

Really great place, the food was top notch and the servers were great and polite (though took a little while to initially take our order). Will defo be coming back!

Went here for Sunday lunch with friends. Fantastic place. The food was great (good portion size) and although the staff were clearly busy, running to and fro, they were very friendly and made the effort to have a laugh with us. Real personalities! They were always communicating with us when the food was slightly delayed. If I was being picky, the music was a bit loud. Not to the point of needing to shout, but Sunday afternoons are meant to be relaxed and slower paced

Harsh cancellation policy for a fully automated service. Even their phone number is a recording instructing you to use their automated online booking tool. £35 billed; we booked it and cancelled it a few hours later after realising we couldn’t go and never set foot in the place. Came to Mr Fox for a brunch. Good food and fast drink delivery so I’ve amended my original amount of stars given.

Unexpected walk-ins on a Sunday lunchtime and they managed to squeeze us in. Our first time here and really wasn't disappointed, great friendly service with a smile, gorgeous food and great background music, what more can you ask for on a Sunday. We shared a scallop starter, it was perfectly cooked, my wife had a vegan Wellington (she doesn't eat red meat but isn't a vegan), she absolutely loved it, I had the crispy topped pork belly, - wow! Crunchy potatoes, roasted carrots and lots of green veg, lovely. We would thoroughly recommend.

Went to the Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday afternoon, we were greeted straight away with a friendly and warm manner. The waiter was a lovely guy with long locks, he explained the process and took our order, he even upselled ..lol (industry joke) the food was nice , i had the cornflake chicken and waffle and my friends had steak and eggs which they enjoyed. the cocktails were lovely the music was reminiscent, bathrooms were clean and fresh. all in all we had a great experience.. We went to Mr Fox to celebrate a birthday at their brunch. The food and drinks were great with an impressive selection of drinks allowed in the brunch set menu. The staff were even better, best service we’ve received in Croydon. Really made the day so thank you!

Love Mr Fox as somewhere to go for a really great Cocktail not your run of the mill commercial cocktails but well thought out and designed cocktails. Also recommend their Sunday roast 😋 and the crumble desert is delicious. All round a great place to get drinks & food and excellent service (we’ve been luckly to get Eva on many visits)

This is by far the best roast in a very large radius. Eva is the most friendly, warm and kind person I have met whilst eating out and is a credit to Mr Fox. I never go home disappointed!

Been a regular here for the past couple of years - a fantastic cosy spot, definitely my favorite in Croydon. The drinks menu is outstanding, truly world-class cocktails, coming from a frequent traveler and someone who loves speakeasy cocktails. Great spot for brunch or dinner and the atmosphere is great for couples. Eva is always our server, always lovely!

Best Sunday roast ever! Hubby had pork I had beef, plenty of seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection, cute pot of delicious gravy on the side, we also opted for cauliflower cheese which was heavenly !!
