All I can say is the best fish and chips shop around I always by my fish and chips from Mr Chips

Great fish and chip shop, was very busy but they're efficient and the food was great

Greeted by the polite lady behind the counter, always polite. The food quality and price is perfect. Always try to pop in once a week as you can’t ask for better.

The. Best. Chips! Superb food, friendly service and it's nice to sit outside and eat when the weather's nice. I've not found anywhere else that tops these chips!

The owner is incredibly rude to customers, he gave a constant stream of rude comments to the 10+ customers waiting. He clearly has stress issues and should be ashamed of his service. Food is very mid range.

Much improved over what it used to be, chips are really nice & so is the fish

Fish really nice .Best chips we had in aged. Ask for chicken bites got chicken nugget would not have had them if I knew .Excepted chicken in batter not mince up chicken in a soggy batter.

I can’t recommend this fish & chip shop enough. Easy wheelchair access, plenty of tables outside. The food is cooked to order so was piping hot & absolutely delicious. I was told that the plaice was on the small side so received two pieces which was an added bonus. The staff are very friendly which was lovely. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There used to be a Mr Chips in Holt but the guy who ran it died its now Albert's 😢! This branch of Mr Chips is great 👍 nice food and reasonably priced so go and get yer chips ok!

This place came recommended alas that’s where the good part stopped. Chips are good to be fair but the fish is tasteless like it’s been frozen and it’s also as thin as flip flop sole. Batter is nothing to write home about for sure as it’s greasy and heavy. Some people must have poor taste to taste this place. Some of the staff are rude as well as I saw whilst waiting for food. I won’t be visiting again that’s for sure. Avoid

Not sure if the customer service is meant to be grumpy or not. I'm also not sure why they only like cash payments and get annoyed at card payments. Fish was nice but the batter was poor. Needed more time in fryer. Otherwise an average chip shop with a character serving!

Always get cod, chips and a curry sauce. Never had a bad one

I go here every Friday for tea ring up my order tell them the time I'll be picking up staff lovely trouble is when I ring they know my voice and say my name

We were staying in the area and popped in to get a Saturday night takeaway. Scouted out a few fish and chip shops in the town but plumped for this one as looked very clean and organised and was very popular with locals! Lovely large piece of fish and good-sized portion of chips, not too greasy, just crisp enough 👍

Avoid...they rob you..paid with a £20 note, but they only gave change for £10!!! Most expensive sausage and chips ever and wouldn't rectify....I will never use them again..

I come all the way from Norwich just for Mr Chips’ chips! Food is always ready within minutes, sometimes seconds. Mr Chips himself always greets with “What would you like, young man?”. There is a small covered seating area outside with benches perfect for a sunny day and the shop is actually situated directly next to a public car park.

It was an average chip shop, nothing to look at. Nice food, perhaps a bit plain.

The chips are usually pretty nice, but the blatant and malicious transphobia from the owner and staff left a bitter taste in my mouth. Needles to say, I won't be going again, they're not queer-friendly.

Visited today for some dinner for me and my daughter. We had a childrens cod & chips meal (included a drink), cheesy chips, savaloy, curry sauce, baked beans and a can of drink, total was £16.70 which was absolutely amazing! The meals are very generous servings and food was cooked to perfection. We have been coming here for a while and will definitely continue coming. Staff are always very friendly and the place is always clean. No faults at all :)

Huge pieces of fish. The fish wasn't anything great but tasted fine. The chips were good but I wanted the really dark colour fries and thinner.

Love Mr chips been using this chippy since I was at school and whenever I go to Fakenham this is the place I have lunch.

Fantastic freshly cooked food. Salad is beautiful. Box meals really good value, portion sizes are immense. Cheeseburger, chips and a drink 5.50. Tastes amazing, good quality burger and chips to die for. All staff really friendly too. Ten out of ten.

Fantastic fish n chips here. The staff are friendly and even remember you after a year of not visiting. Amazing. Great value. Chips are always perfect. Fish perfectly battered, with just enough crunch. Definitely the best chip shop in Fakenham. Huge selection of other items, if fish is not a favourite, try the large battered sausage, very tasty.

We are on holiday a few miles from Fakenham, felt lazy so decided on fish and chips. Google maps showed us a few options but the reviews guided us to Mr Chips.This genuinely is a 5 star fish and chip shop. There’s even an outdoor undercover eating area too. The fish was large, pure white, well cooked and tasted wonderful. Fantastic chips and a large portion. Quality mushy peas too. Great staff, happy helpful and informative. Thank you for our fab food.

We were visiting a relative who wished a fish and chip meal. We had seen this place as we drove through the town so returned. Clean, welcoming with good food at a fair price. We alaays ask would we recommend or return. The answer to both is yes.

Stopped in by for a quick portion of chips and come out with a 1/2 burger and chips and found it a really nice meal... chips was nice and crispy and the burger was really nice 👌 😋 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hot portion of chips

Pretty stunned for a chip shop to have all that it does... outside picnic eating area with lights and shelter, warm welcoming as entering the shop, feels really clean and friendly, food was lovely highly recommended 👌🏼

Honestly, Mr. Chips do the best fish and chips in Fakenham hands down. The staff are so friendly and warm, the prices are exceptionally reasonable and their pickled eggs are banging!!!

Excellent Fish and chips were okay too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tables outside were free to be used but could have done with a wipe clean. There was access to cleaning equipment. Staff were far too busy producing delicious food. Free parking after 6pm for the many happy customers who "return every week." Very large portions. We had 2 dinners from our one portion.

Mr Chips, their fish are like huge wales,and lovely and tasty, their chips again super sized portions and always cooked to prefection.plus always served with a smile.. I wouldn't drift off to anywhere else.. This is The best Chippy around this area..

Bought fish and chips a few times from here during our stay In fakenham First was ok although service was curt, abrupt and bordering on rude. Second time the owner/ manager? was directly abusive to his staff, shouting and clearly making them feel uncomfortable. He’d made an error on our order and when I returned to rectify situation he was non apologetic, aggressive and rude, slamming down the replacement on the counter without a word of apology. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for many years and consider this owner to be a disgrace to our profession.

Nice fish and chips if you're in the area. A covered outside seating area is a real bonus on a nice day.

What a lovely chip shop. The owner was is incredibly friendly and had an in joke with all of his locals. The food was freshly cooked and when I made a small mistake in my order he changed it without any fuss. Lovely. :-)

I didn't rate this chippy highly until this new boss took over, I now know him as Jac and Oh boy has he turned this chippy around. Best fish and chips for miles and prices do not reflect the enormous portions. Why pay silly parking and tourist prices along the Norfolk coast (that's if you can find a space) when you can park directly outside Mr Chips.

Large outside area (sheltered from the weather) with comfy chairs. Large portion of chips was massive. Speedy service. Good chips. What's not to like?
