Unfortunately, very disappointed with our food,how can you have two different colours of kebab meat, was this from yesterday? fresh meat obviously cut today but the greyish looking meat was not nice at all , my wife's fish was so over cooked it was ridiculous, batter was very hard and greasy and not much bigger than a fish finger, only positive was the kids enjoyed their spag bowl.

very disappointed. have been a regular customer but last occasions has been awful. today the chips were rock hard and old! pitta was stale (same as last time) ordered a large and got no more chips then yoi do in a regular. won't be ordering again

Came in. Asked for no onions with kebab and chips. I was basically told in a curt tone "sit down and wait". I was dining in and I waited ten minutes. I went to collect my food and onions were on the salad. I had specifically asked for no onions and no red cabbage when he was taking my order I also had asked for chilli on the side. Infront of me, he kept the food on the same plate and binned the salad, then added new salad. Despite me being allergic to onion! I sat down and for some reason they had decided to throw chilli sauce over everything. It looked awful. He asked me if I wanted Salt and vinegar on my chips. I confirmed I wanted Salt and vinegar. So why did they throw chilli sauce over my chips? I was very annoyed and felt disrespected. Mostly as they didn't do it to the other customer behind me that ordered lamb doner to dine in. Why me? I asked for my money back and luckily it was getting busy, so they gave it back to me right away without hesitation. Very much a shame as I visited here in March and it was a good service. Different staff here entirely. I'd also paid for a large or £10.90 and the portion looked rather small. I won't be coming back anytime soon. I actually think the staff are patronising and disrespectful dimwits. The bloke serving me needs to actually get a masculine voice, he sounds like a plonker when he talks to people and his colleagues. Very irritating!

What can I say asked for a kebab got rice which I didn't want got no pitta bread fish was grease chips were cold and it came to late had to throw it all away it costs me 45 quid never again avoid

Food arrived really hot generous portions and very tasty

Ordered 4 regular pizzas, cost me £27...we he handed them to me..they were small pizzas! 7inch max! Ripoff! First and last...every pizza shop in the are is cheaper and same of not better quality! Avoid!

Was so excited to try this place for the variety it offers but to my disappointment the food was a disgrace. To start with the chips were hard so clearly cooked in over heated oil, the holumi wrap was cold, I couldn't even cut it with a knife and fork. The chips in pitta were also cold and the pitta snapped in half it was so cold. The burger bun was stale and dry. Finally the pizza was undercooked and soggy. Looked like a frozen pizza. Would never order from here again!

Lamb donner was dry, chips was nice and crispy. Fish was a bit oily.

Due to going wrong way from chip shop;and sorry to say burger rolls was hard round edges so not really enjoyable.

So when and brought chips and a roll The chip was mean to be a large but was a small the roll was Hard and felt like it was it’s last day before going bad and then to make it worse your chip have made me and my partner sick this is not the first time iv had bad food from them I had a lamb shish when I told a bit the lamb was raw and my partner chicken shish was dry no flavour at all like we’ll never eat there again

This place is amazing. The food is always good and they really care about what they are doing. First place to go for a cheeky takeaway.

Horrible experience, once food was delivered we saw it was wrong so called up, returned the food as proof it was wrong and they start putting it back into the food containers that they serve people. Disgusting to think someone has touched the food they are now serving me. Never going again. The service was horrendous. Wouldn’t stop yelling over the phone even though they were wrong.

Terrible. Wrong food delivered and when we called the ‘restaurant’ they said “it’s not our problem it’s just eats” I returned the wrong order and they repackaged it and told me to go home. The driver arrived with a suspiciously fast re order from the restaurant and just walked away. I went back in with the food and the owner was shouting at my wife on the phone about how it was not his problem. AVOID delivery. They have no idea about how to deal with a mistake. Doubt I will get a refund from

The food is way over priced,ie, a plain sausage costs £2.40, elsewhere £1.80,that's a big difference!!!!

Food was dried tasted like plastic wasn’t the best normally comes better and it was cold chips was way over cooked and meat wasn’t all that

First and last time I will be visiting there, as I now have food poisoning. My advice to the shop would be focus on what food you want to sell and make sure you do it well. Overcomplicated the menu in my opinion and I'm suffering now as a byproduct.

Lovely food and wonderful staff

Food was an hour late and when I rang the them, they were not apologetic. I usually order from it frequently but the lack of customer service means I will never use them again.

Chips, battered sausage and save loyalty were absolutely beautiful. The only thing I didn't enjoy (on a previous visit) was the very undercooked pizza, but everything else (kebabs and burgers etc.) has always been superb.

Very polite and delivered with care

The driver left the restaurant on time then drove straight past our home and continued for 15 minutes obviously making other deliveries. Then came back towards our house and again drove straight past to make another delivery before finally coming to our house. We live 5mins from the restaurant and our food was driven around for over 30 minutes!

Collected food with friends and service was terrible. Food was greasy and rushed and prices weren’t the best. Fish n chip chips with a kebab dont go well👎

Great food the only thing I could suggest is that if you cook the pizzas abit longer and make sure the delivery guy don't put other things on top of it as my toppings and cheese got stuck to the lid other than that is was nice

We have our dinner from here every Friday night and I have always said it’s one of the best fish and chips in the area, however the last few times the chips have been very dry and overcooked. Not sure what’s changed but hopefully the chips go back to how they were before

I always order from Chippy Bistro. Fish was lovely, flaky and very tasty. Chips were perfectly crispy. Quick to order and speedy delivery.

I ordered large cod and chips if this cod is large I'd hate to know what a small cod looks like, was delivered by push bike bearing in mind he went to the otherside of sladegreen first food was cold, very disappointed as I get my food there all the time but this will be the last time

If you're in town and need something quick, this is the place food is decent.

I ordered chips and meat at an exorbitant price of £8.90, they had literally just turned on the donar grill, shaved the meat, and put it in the box on top of soggy, oil soaked chips. The food taste awful evening to a starving appetite. Asked them to serve me fresh chips to which they refused, until I said I wanted a refund and could not eat the food. At that point dump a pot of chips on the counter which I did not see him dish, and refused to take. Would never eat there again, they are rude, impolite and have no idea about customer service.

Just had a takeaway delivered. The kofte kebab was fresh juicy and nicely seasoned with a generous portion of salad.

Really good with food for every taste. Kebabs, Mexican, fish and chips . Very spacious and clean. I had large chicken shish which was very good. A nice surprise close to home.

The food is great however recently I have noticed that when I order a large cod I get a medium and only when I order online. I am not a happy bunny at being treated as an idiot especially when I am a frequent and loyal customer. Once is a mistake but to continually do this to your customers is bad form. I have mentioned this previously in a review.

You let me down tonight! Burnt pita Half a cup of pure oils fat at the bottom on kebabs extremely more than usual. Meets cuts looks like it’s seen Beter days .

I’ve been using the chippy bistro for a while now, never been let down with the quality of food, always piping hot and the portion sizes are always good, I’d recommend you try them as many other places you feel like your paying over the odds for poor quality food and portions,

Meat was dry and chewy...this place has gone downhill recently. Portion sizes have gone down, price has gone up and food quality appalling

Chips tasted like they had been washed with chemicals, had to throw the whole lot in the bin , would never eat there again.

I ordered a delivery which included a large cod, but when it arrived it was a regular cod. When I called them I first asked if they had any large cod as that might have been why and they said yes, and when I told them that they had delivered regular instead of large said, "We check all orders before they go out" basically saying there was no mistake, and they never apologised, and never offered a refund. The fish was ok and always is, but the pie was hard especially the crust as if it had been waiting all day to be served and the after service poor.

Such a shame. Brilliant chicken shish but dried out lamb doner and to cap it all the jalapenos were frozen! Very expensive which I don't mind if the food is okay. As it is, will shop elsewhere...

The food was delicious and everything separately packaged, kebab/salad/sauces etc so nothing was soggy. Restaurant was super attentive and rang to double check other items with the note I had left and catered for me perfectly. Would defo recommend 👍🏼

Food was full of fat wasn’t nice at all

Disappointed- Been using this fish and chip shop for sometime. The last few times the fish has been good but very small despite ordering a large yet the price has increased quite a bit. Makes me wonder if they are serving smaller fish to the deliveries because the customer is not viewing before the sale is made.

Bland Chips, too much oil on battered sausage and undercooked wedges. I would not recommend this place. Nice service and it looks great but not worth it.

I only ordered cod but it was hot and delicious. This is the first time using Mr Chippy Bistro but I will be back. I can't comment on restaurant service as i had home delivery hence the low * the app insisted I rate it even though I didn't go there!

Food has got expensive. Over £6 for a hot dog that wasn’t anything special £2.50 service stations style. It’s really expensive for what it is.

Absolutely spot on!! For a Monday night, the food was hot, fresh and well cooked. Burger was exactly how I ordered it and all of it was tasty. Makes a massive difference compared to ‘normal’ chip shops. Keep it up team 💪🏼

I ordered a large portion of chips which usually come in a separate bag, but this time they were in the box with the fish and there was only a small portion of chips, I get large for two people to share, but I had to go without even though I paid for a large portion of chips, I know times are hard but really !!!.

Just had a takeaway there , lots to choose from and nicely cooked, I will try the sit-down part when I get the chance.

OMGosh!!!! Congratulations on your Mr Chippys Double Burger it was fantastic. Also got cheesy chip they are being reheated tomorrow for some butties, I just could not fit them in. May I suggest sml and lge portions . Will be giving positive recommendations. Welldone team.
