Chinagaga in Bexley

This was our fourth visit to Chinagaga and again the food was lovely and excellent service by the friendly staff which definitely makes this restaurant worth a visit, we would highly recommend it

Beautiful atmosphere, food is good but portion is small.

We turned up pretty late on a Sunday evening after a day travelling, just wanting a decent bite to eat. The team at Chinagaga couldn't have been more accommodating, and the food was some of the best I've had in the UK. I highly recommend the hot & sour soup. It was hot and super authentic. The beef in the chow mein was excellent, and really succulent. The service was wonderful, the decor was great and we just had an all-round really positive experience. Would love to come back.

I just had my birthday at this amazing restaurant with my family. The staff was friendly, helped us all find seats, and the food was fantastic. The layout and clean toilets were great too. We'll definitely be coming back!

Server was rude to us after we asked for a replacement of prawn crackers after finding flies in the bottom of the bowl of ours, he then placed the new bowl down aggressively and had an attitude and said the flies can’t be helped and basically not his problem, when asking for the bill we waited over 20 mins then re called the man over and he had such a bad attitude

Travel quite far to come here, always worth it, the food is at such a high standard and the customer service is always great! Tried numerous different Chinese shops and this is the best by far, never dissapointed.

Only good for eating in. Takeaway orders are almost always stale. I’d say the quality of your food will depend on your order. Small order - stale food. Large order - May get good food. Also, don’t go on weekdays when the restaurant is not so busy. You might end up with microwaved chicken from last nights orders. We ordered 2 soups. The chicken soup clearly had stale/ not properly stored chicken chunks. They smelled of other vegetables. My son got sick after having most of the soup, I tasted it and quickly realised the chicken was stale and incorrectly stored.

First time visiting with Family; A table for 6 people on a Saturday night for Birthday Celebrations. Nice & clean, modern deco, uber friendly staff, helpful and polite. Helped with explaining portion sizes so you didn’t over order (or wanted more of your favourite dishes) Great choice of dishes & drinks. All served hot & fresh. e.g 1/2 Duck was enough for two pancakes each filled enough to satisfy. 2 X Chow Mein’s, Special Rice, 2 X HK Chicken, Beef in Black Bean, Chicken Satay, Sizzling Prawns in Black Bean (Ultra yum!) a couple of portions of Spring Rolls and 2 X Seaweed…Done! Great flavours as you would expect & no waiting for the final dish to arrive. My only suggestions-Some background music would have been nice and either a hot towel or fresh wipe to wipe your sticky fingers with after. Definitely will be returning.

I took my parents here for a mid-week dinner and we really enjoyed it! We struggled to choose as there there were so many yummy sounding dishes on the menu. Everything was cooked well, non greasy and tasty. Only one dish (Singapore noodles) didn't hit the mark from me. It was quite bland. But service was great. The staff are really friendly. I'll definitely be going back to try more of their menu.

Very quiet especially for a Friday, however food was really tasty. Prices quite high but you get what you pay for. Parking was limited and restaurant was only half full.

Had visited this restaurant a couple of times during my stay here and I've to say that the service is great each and every time. All the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Food was equally as good, would highly recommend if you're looking for Chinese food. 😊 Thanks Sue for giving my aunties and I such a warm welcome.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, we come us a family for my nephews 13th birthday everyone at the restaurant couldn’t have made it more special. The food was all cooked fresh and was delicious would deffo recommend. All the staff was super helpful and welcoming Thank you 🤩

We have visited this lovely establishment on several occasions. The staff are very people savy. and very experienced in their trade. The food is of top quality. China GaGa , are on the local councils radar for functional. Also for family and friends. Not only do they have the sit down restaurant, they have a very good take out service. Enjoy . Not sure where all the best ever reviews come from. Restaurant was large clean and airy, lots of staff who were freindly, however the food was average at best. The half a duck was the smallest half duck we have ever ordered with little more than 8 lightly filled pancakes between 4 of us with a small amount of cucumber and spring onion and an even smaller amount of hoisin sauce. The shared hors deurves were even smaller. A small piece of prawn toast, a very small spring roll , a rib and a piece of satay chicken. However the biggest gripe was the bottle of prosecco that we ordered for £24 which we recognised as a lidl £6 bottle. I realise there is a mark up but 4 times??? They couldnt have given us a cheaper bottle. Meal concluded with a kit kat. Bizarre. I wont be back and this is a poor chinese compared to Mings on Pickford lane. No comparison whatsoever.

Amazing service, quick lovely food & very nice atmosphere

Often visited as this appears to be one of the better Chinese restaurants in the Bexleyheath area. Prefer a dining experience as opposed to a take-away.

Been there since it opened with family and friends the food is the best Chinese I've ever had my whole family wouldn't go anywhere else the service is also excellent with the owners sue and Alex always there to serve you with a smile

Average food it's ok. Nothing special. A little on the pricey side for what we had.

We took my Nan here for her birthday and we have fallen in love with this place. First of all, the staff are fantastic. Very caring and attentive and they went above and beyond for my Nan which really made her day. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. But the food... Wow! By far the best Chinese in the area. The flavors in each dish were perfect. I definitely would recommend the Singapore rice, crispy chilli beef, bbq ribs and the chicken satay with peanut sauce. We're looking forward to our next visit!

After reading the reviews we decided to try this restaurant for dinner and we're really pleased we did! Booking was easy followed by a warm welcome on arrival. The menu and drinks lists were comprehensive and our drinks and meal orders were taken just when we'd decided so great timing. The best part was the taste - everything we tried from appetisers to mains was excellent. Would happily visit again.

1st time using this take away tonight. The man taking our order over the phone was lovely and attentive , delivery driver friendly, food was very good, tasty, hot and plentiful with a lovely variety of meats and vegetables. Would definitely order again and definitely want to go to the restaurant. 😊

Got a takeaway this evening with my dad and it was fantastic. Quality food and service. I've been in a few Chinese cuisine outlets and this is one of the better ones.

Fairly nice. Was just average for me. Black bean probably needs a bit of spice for my taste. Staff were friendly. Takeaway was easy to arrange and ready on time. Good price, just the food is average and certainly doesn’t warrant five stars for me.

Wow. Just WOW. I ordered maybe an hour or so ago and have just finished eating with my family. All I can say is the service was absolutely amazing and the food was genuinely some of the best food I have ever had! Food 5 STAR ⭐️ Service 5 STAR ⭐️

Only have visited this place for take away so far. The experience has been good. The staff are helpful and professional. The environment is clean. The food is fresh, and prices are competitive all in all a great place to get takeaway. I recommend a trip here.

An Asian place that feels clean and professional. Customer service is very good and friendly. Few times I was asked if everything is OK, which speaks people do care. The food was nice and the dumplings felt home made. The prices seemed reasonable and they have parking. Everything arrived on time and I was asked when I would want each dish to be served. Thank you for the good care ❤️

Just had a takeaway for family of five. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, and I will use them again. The food arrived ahead of time, hot and well packaged. We ordered the set meal for 2.. plus a number of other favourites, without exception everything was enjoyed. We have yet to eat at the restaurant but hope to try it soon.

Best Chinese Restaurant in the Southeast London

We don’t know the area particularly well so looked on Trip Advisor for a good Chinese restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious. We had a mixed starter, salt and pepper squid, duck pancakes and a variety of mains that the four of us shared. We shared a dessert which again was freshly cooked and tasty and had some coffees. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we never felt rushed. They even gave us the option of having some time between courses. Will definitely return.

Another lovely evening at Chinagaga.As always the food was great, very good value, staff attentive and Alex and Sue, the owners, could not do more to make you feel welcome. It was busy when we arrived at 7.00pm but didnt wait long for anything. Thoroughly recommend it for a great night out!

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was excellent as was the service. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was good, but Tuesday nights must be generally quiet. Will be going again.

Lived in Bexley for 11 years, just discovered this establishment in Bexleyheath. Shame on us. Highly recommend. Own parking, pleasant welcome, nice ambience, communicative and friendly waiting staff, fantastic drinks service, superb choice of food- high quality, very clean and a modern environment. Absolutely lovely restaurant, greeted by Sue on entry, very polite and friendly lady. Decor really good, comfortable chairs and proper wooden tables. Good selection of wines and beers, the food superb. Staff all very attentive and helpful. My wife and I ate here 1st Jan 2023, we will definitely be returning, highly recommended.

I honestly could not fault my time at Chinagaga. Staff were amazingly attentive without being overly so, one kindly took a large coat worn by someone in my party and put it somewhere safe so it would not get in the way. Food was lovely, we had a sharing platter for each pair in our party and were pleasantly surprised how much we had. Good selection of drinks, I had my usual which some restaurants do not have. My partner had a Chinese beer which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, we had smiles and nods from different tables which made the experience that more enjoyable. Come here for the first time on Saturday, they were able to squash a table of 6 in last minute. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are nice too. It has a really nice restaurant feel which you don't often find with Chinese restaurants nowadays, it's all usually takeaway vibes. Our orders were taken quickly, food arrived quick and was hot! Couldn't fault any of it. The flavours, portions and taste was fantastic. Already booking to come back next month. Parking was a bit difficult I must admit. The only reason I put 4 stars is because I found egg shells in my rice and the chicken balls were quite doughy but apart from that it was perfect.

After leaving the review below, 5 months ago, which I gave a 5☆, I've now changed it, as tried to order a takeaway earlier & told it would be 45 mins, which was fine, & then told I was too far away for a delivery, despite living in Welling on the border of Bexleyheath, so a 7 min drive, & despite the fact we've had about 5 takeaways delivered since my review 5 months ago, which all have had several dishes! Looks like I'll be having to find a new Chinese for takeaways now! Just had the nicest Chinese takeaway that we've had in a long time. The flavours were all lovely, the meat and prawns were so tender, and good size portions at a really reasonable price. A delicious meal. This is defo our new go to Chinese takeaway, and it was so nice, that we'll also eat in for a meal too

The most amazing, fresh and tasty food! We received the best service and both waitresses were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was beyond expectations and this our first time eating here. We will not be going to any other Chinese restaurant ever again!

Used to get takeaways from here all the time before we moved, food is a bit more pricey compared to other takeaways but is 10x better quality and more generous.

We've just had our first meal in there and wow what an experience! Having battled to find a decent chinease eatery in our area for 18 months, we decided to give this place a go! Greeted by all the staff when we entered, a first in any restaurant, food was amazing, hot and more than enough! Doggy bag for later. The staff were attentive and friendly every time they approached. I asked if they deliver to our area, which they thankfully do, and the next thing, the woman brought over a take away menu for me. Well done #chinagaga for excellent food and service.

This is the best Chinese 👌🏼 I've been ordering and visiting ChinaGaga for over 6years. Even our friends who visit from out of the area specifically ask for us to order this Chinese again or pick it up on our way to there's for a takeaway night. Great service, fresh and tasty food. Environment and Good food, Good customer sevivce

Despite being local, not been here before but so glad we found it. Excellent food and service, lovely surroundings. All the food was piping hot and looked very freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend, as well worth a visit.

A great evening. We were a group of 15 and had the special set menu. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, providing separate dishes to the couple of vegans in the group. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it! Everyone had a really enjoyable meal and agreed they would definitely return.

Visited Chinagaga for the first time for lunch and was very surprised at how good the food was. Crispy duck was amazing followed by chicken noodles, sweet and sour chicken and a tasty prawn dish....all dishes were cooked to perfection and to top it all the staff were helpful and very friendly. Will be returning, thank you for a wonderful experience!
