After waiting an hour an half food was shocking

Just got 2 house special chow meins & some barbecue spare ribs. The ribs (what there was of them) tasted nice enough, although I have never had ribs with so little meat. As for the chow meins, they were absolutely vile & ended up in the bin. Will definitely not use again & wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

I order from here alot and every time I ring up. Constant getting the orders wrong. Ask for a large and get small.... Read it back to me over the phone. Still get it wrong

Awful every bit of beef full of fat never again

Absolutely disgusting service!!!! Waited nearly a hour and a half for a delivery and when I rang to see where it was, they told me there waiting for a delivery driver and it'll be another 45 mins and they said it's not there fault and slammed the phone down on me absolute joke!!!!!!!!! I hope you like the rats I'm going to be posting through your letter box!!!!

Great tasting food at reasonable prices

Always good food, generous portions. Usually pick up the order, quick and efficient. Staff friendly and helpful.

Food took over 2 hours to come since I first rung. Rung up to ask about the food then the young guy was really rude on the phone when I was asking where the food was. Food turned up and it was loot warm.

Ordered 3 items ,one was duck with orange sauce we had ordered this 2 wks before and it was lovely ,our normal takeaway had been closed so tried Mr chan and like I say it was lovely ordered again last night and it came within 15 mins after we were told an hour so was pleased we were told from delivary driver it was because they were very quite ,went to plate up it was chicken in batter ,I can't eat batter rang them up and they didn't seem to understand they had given me a different dish to what I ordered,they kept saying had I changed my mind and didn't want chicken I repeated several times that I ordered duck in orange ,eventually they said would send what I wanted so we sat letting the other 2 dishes going cold we waited over 30 mins and its at the end of our street and when I opened it there was 8 small squares of overcooked dried rubbery duck it was nothing like the dish I had 2 wks earlier ,was insulted felt we wasted 22 pounds ,you think if they send wrong item out what was sent out after should of been something lovely to make up for all the hassle and waiting it was in enable won't ever use again back to lucky star for us .

The worst food ever, salt and pepper chips are nothing but chips with a bag of microwave onions and peppers mixed with them, the curry was bland and watery, honestly it was horrible, an it cost £30 in total, worst mistake ever, I will never order from here again, going back to six foo where the food is better.

In our opinion, the best Chinese takeaway in the area.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery. Phone not working so had to go myself. No apology or explanation.

Always order from here and never had a problem. I find it way more tasty than most other Chinese takeout so all is good for me.

Brilliant food walked in ordered in and out in 10 minutes walked home with food in backpack and got it out and was still piping hot

Just waited over an hour for our take away, it came and its horrible. Dry as a bone chow mein. Burnt prawn toast. Chips that looked like they've been stood for a week. Chewy squid. Terrible. Rang to get money back. Did want to put 0 stars but wouldn't let me.

Never had a bad experience here. Food is always good.

Ordered food tonight. A meal for myself and my wife.kids had a salt and pepper meal.when they opened the box there was some kind of squashed creature on the inside of the lid.it was dry but looked like it had bones in it.had a right job trying to get a refund. All I kept getting was no manager here to refund money. Told them in so many words to give us a refund, they demanded all the food back so I said yes come and fetch it.also wanted box back but said no as it is evidence. Driver came to give us a refund and asked for box back.told him no as will be taking it to environmental health

The food was excellent, the staff great , will order every week , best in the area .

Ordered at 6:30 hoping to get the food quickly, was told it would be 1hour and 15 minutes. After 1 1/2 hours we phoned up to check the order hadn’t been forgotten and was told it was on its way. Half an hour later it arrived stone cold and soggy. Bland egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips were plain, soggy spring rolls and cold mains. Staff were not bothered but eventually offered 10% off on our next visit. Will not be returning

The food I ordered arrived fast and piping hot! Very delicious thank you very much! Portion sizes are great and the lady on the phone was very helpful. The delivery driver was super polite. I had a brilliant experience and I will be back again. Thank you

Well what can I say.sum trollop on the phone taking orders who clearly needs lessons on customer service.if you don't like your job LEAVE and let someone do it that has manners.then to top it off I orders beef chowmein and ended up with chicken and pork balls more like fat balls.never again.

Twice Mr chans have got my order wrong. When I went to the shop they apologise but one member of staff claimed the dish I got was what I ordered but another member agreed that I got the wrong dish. Did get a refund for the dish but in todays times you would expect them to get orders right

Pedí comida para llevar al señor chans dos veces en 3 semanas y pedí arroz de coco y obtuve arroz frito con huevo y pedí alitas de pollo con chile como entrante y obtuve pollo cantonés, así que después de llamar y decirles que el pedido estaba mal, nos dijeron que estaba bien, así que ganó Vuelve con ellos y no se lo recomendaré a nadie más.

Segunda vez En 3 semanas, la primera vez que no envié arroz con coco arroz frito con huevo, llamé para quejarse, dijeron que lo lamentaban y la próxima vez que ordenemos obtendríamos un arroz con coco gratis automáticamente. Pedí otra vez esta noche 10 10 20 ordené arroz con coco y arroz de Singapur consiguió 2 huevos arroz frito ordenó sal y pimienta alitas de pollo consiguió sal y pimienta pollo cantonés. Se quejó por teléfono y le dije que mi pedido era correcto y eso fue todo. NO VOLVERÁ A PEDIR. Ya es hora de que el señor Chans recuerde que si no obtiene los pedidos correctamente, perderán clientes.

Have ordered twice from Mr Chans. First time the vegetarian dish I ordered came with beef in. Fair mistake. They promised a free dish on my next order. Ordered a few months later, after an hour and a half wait I rang to chase up the order. I was told the order hadn’t been prepared yet and would be an additional 30-45 minutes. I was reassured to learn they were very busy though.

Messed up my order, orders 2 special chow mein, 1 with no prawn and only noodles, beansprouts and got 2 with all veg and no prawns. Everything tasted the same mainly of broccoli, very bland and not good at all. Also missed a chow mein off my friends order who ordered at the same time as me yesterday. Most ended up in the bin! Very expensive aswell compared to our usual chinese. Only nice thing was the chicken balls. To top it off the young girl kept pulling her mask down to speak and touching it with her hands. i didnt see her use sanitizer or wash her hands either between that and handing bags of food over to customers!

I was a regular, but it is not as good as before when Mr Chan himself was there. The quality is poor a d food is often piled with garlic, garluc is lovely, but the amount and it is in small lumps it just overpowers everything. I since discovered Sea Pearl ... its the best ever!!

Eaten many times at Mr Chans normally lovely. Not tonight 29/12 food bland managed to extract all the flavour so when we eaten the food had no flavour. Singapore vegetable noodle had egg no chilli usually no egg but loads of chilli. The crispy beef was chewy and no flavour. Unsure if usual chef but if it is we won’t be eating there again.

Normally I've had no problem with Mr Chans but tonight I'm disgusted in the service. When we ordered we was told 1 hr ok they're busy . 2 hrs later still no food and no phone call to say sorry 😡 not happy

This is normally the place we order from most weekends, we ordered from here saturday night and was very dissapointed with the outcome, our food took 2 hours to come, it arrived cold, then when we rang the shop to complain we asked for a discount for it arriving that late an the bloke who answered the phone said the manager wasn't happy we asked for a discount, very shocking service an attitude, will not be ordering from here again, so there loss will take our £60 food orders elsewhere !!

Well im another unhappy customer i had a big order with them this weekend as i had friends round i spent £60 as i do most weekends with them, rang 3 times to be told its on the way , it took over 2 hours to come, when it turned up i wouldnt of bothered it was cold, lacking in taste, most of my £60 meal went in the bin, very dissapointed, will never be ordering from here again, asked for a discount to be told the manager wasnt happy, very bad service manner !!

Very good meal very quick service.

Don't eat takeaway too often but when I do and I want a Chinese, this is my go-to place. The food is always tasty and what I expect, not much more I can say about it. Staff are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable and the Dandy Cock next door is great for a pint on the way to collect.

Chowmein was sloppy with undercooked mushrooms. Chips were hard. Prawns still had their tails on. Chicken was good though.

Excellent Vermicelli, though could be spicier. Chicken Satay sticks are rubbish, battered and with the sauce separate. Nottinghamshire Chinese takeaways are poor at this dish

Best Chinese take a away in the area can't wait for the restaurant to reopens in May. Hopefully the standards keep up it will be great, time will tell.

We love this place. The owner is always really friendly and the food is great. Really looking forward to the new restaurant opening.

Not on my account... Can't log out of this one. Just had sweet and sour chicken balls, which had accidentally been sent out with the delivery driver (ordered for collection). The order was then rushed out and the batter was like grey snot on the inside as it was so undercooked and the rice in the 3 in one was cold with the chips uncooked in the middle. The sweet and sour sauce had barely any taste. Really gone downhill in the last couple of years since the time we used to go regularly.

I visited once and never again. The food didn’t have much flavour and the service wasn’t great.

Used to be a 5 star but not anymore. Food was WOW, now it's just chow.

Huge problem when I asked for prawn and they gave me chicken..I don't eat meat.... found out after they closed... Great... hungry and£15 down Update... After the manager found this out he was very apologetic and refunded the meal without prompting.. Top chap

It's gone down hill just had a order the meal was cold the pancakes where soggy that's the 3rd time this as happened time to look elsewhere

When the resturant closed..the meals went down hill as inn ingredients cheaper was better by 65% when resturant was open...no longer our first choice as inn last meal was slightly soggy and very dry..needs to go back to better suppliers

THE best takeaway bar none. There are other very good takeaways in the Kirkby & Sutton district but none can beat this one.
