Beef fried rice tasted a bit burned this time round and chow mein tasted the same but everything else of the food was lovely

Order delivered over an hour early, by the time I actually got home to eat it everything that was supposed to be crispy was soggy

I had some issues with delivery so phoned the shop and they dealt with it promptly. one question thpugh do delivery drivers have a food hygein qualfification has I think they would benefit from it

Normaly really nice from red cap but tonights order was awful looks like it was rushed and slapped together not happy for £60

My order this evening wasn't as good as usual, mainly because it was almost cold when it arrived. I have to say though that this is unusual as it is normally piping hot when it gets here. It won't put me off using New Red Cap, I put it down to the fact that they seemed to be quite busy.

The worst Chinese takeaway I think I’ve ever had chips I’m pretty sure was refried from yesterday the chicken balls was more like chicken donuts curry sauce is watery and sweet chow mein was ok all in all I’d definitely not recommend

Delivery time was given for 8 but came early. I was lucky to have just arrived home or I would have missed it. Both my orders had been squid open including the pot of soy sauce which had them leaked inside the whole bag and into the food containers. I’m really disappointed overall

Absolutely love this Chinese place the best one I’ve tried and also gave me free curry when i didn’t have enough to spend appreciate it a lot and absolutely love it

Even though the delivery was slightly late, the food was still delicious and piping hot! Would always choose here for a Chinese!

1hr 40min wait time, did order on a Saturday night so expected to be busy, but it’s not usually that long a wait. Food was great though, good portions, not greasy.

Great food, the only thing is ,I’ve ordered pineapple fritters twice and received banana!.. I hate bananas so just a waste of £3.60!.. boooo

Wings tongs had no filling in, chicken balls and skewers was bone dry

Firstly the delivery was extended by 15 minutes, then the tracker stated delivered and the food did not arrive for a further 15 minutes. The food was thrown together no real care. It lacked seasoning, was overly greasy and the sauces were watery.

Good food but takes ages then says "on its way" every time yet still takes another 30 mins when u live a 10 min drive away and also recently the food has been really dry.

Food is always great. However, if you don’t want to wait until the hairs on your head have turned grey until your food arrives then I wouldn’t bother. Im confident I could write a best selling novel in the time it takes food to arrive from these. Won’t be ordering again. And no, this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

they put the delivery time back 3 times and when i called they said it will be 15 more minutes not happy with the delivery time don't think I be using them again

Terrible food, went straight in the bin. Ordered a box meal, all I got was a box of rice that was claggy and literally came out the box in one lump, hardly any sauce to speak of on the dish. Won’t be ordering again, nice waste of £30 tonight

Ordered our food at 1710hrs and was delivered at 2000hrs; nearly 3 hours late. Constantly told by staff that “it wil be 20mins maximum” whenever we said we would cancel and order from elsewhere.

Lovely food as usual, could have done with being a little hotter on arrival. It was 45 mins late but I believe it was due to mad friday christmas orders.

Unfortunately nearly 3hours after ordering we rang to see where the food way and was met with hostility and told basically to do one! we have now taken our business elsewhere as this is unacceptable! disgusting customer service, clearly not interested in keeping repeat business! avoid!

3 hours waiting, just to be cancelled on. We were offered free spring rolls after WE called THEM to find out where on earth our food was...told very rudely that they wouldn't refund us and would only offer spring rolls despite being a regular customer. Will never order again!

Always order from here, but just lately the delivery is getting really bad, ordered at 5 o’clock food didnt come till 7:40! I feel for the delivery driver as it’s not her fault it’s the kitchen…. sorry but lost my custom for future orders

Foods nice but iv ordered so many times and EVERY SINGLE TIME my order is late. I pre ordered my food HOURS before and its still late. Seems they prioritise walk ins over pre orders. Unlikely to order again fed up of waiting hours for food. Didnt even send any prawn crackers this time. Offered me a can of pop to say sorry 😒🙃 not great service.

Ordered through just eat, arrived in shop 15 minutes before collection time, another customer came in ordered there and then. They still got their food before me, then waited nearly 10 minutes past collection time. Food was quite bland not much flavour

I got to say this time was disappointed the food was cold had to put it in the microwave and reheat

Good hasn’t even been delivered even though it says it has. Been waiting now over 2 hours. Rang the shop clearly been lied to by the poor lass who has to deal with these issues - rang again to ask where it was 10 mins after being assured it was in its easy to be told it’s just being cooked now. We never have a problem usually and love the food from here but being lied to is a great way to lose custom. Over 2hrs for a delivery is beyond shocking.

Wow what an experience, used to always come here but tonight was the last time for us! Ordered just after 6pm got here for 8.10pm yeah it's the weekend but the food was bland and dry and not worth the wait and money this time, proper gutted as usually a nice place but defo let me down tonight.

Worse food ever I ordered crips shredder chicken with noodles instead of rice that's all said was with it well came in some pink souce that was burning my mouth I don't so spicy food and plus had chilli's in it one thing I can not eat if going to be spicy then it should say and because I'm on my own I've at to throw full meal away and it took 2 hours to come

I’ve ordered here before and delivery has always been punctual. This time the order was 3 hours late even though the app showed the ordered delivered 2h prior. This has been one of the worst delivery experiences so far. Also rang the restaurant twice only to be told food would be 5/10min away twice.

Food was nice but took a lot longer than usual. One dish had a slightly strange burnt/chemical taste but other three dished we had were good.

Salt & pepper chips were hardly that. Just regular chips with some onion and salt shoved on top. Chowmein was ok, not very flavourful. Curry sauce was painfully spicy. I’ve heard good reviews about the place so either an “off night” or just doesn’t sit well with my palette. Not a fan.

Lovely delicious hot food, although the prawn toast was a little soft still in the middle. I was concerned the food wouldn’t be hot, as I had a notification my order was on the way, but it didn’t turn up for another 30 minutes and was after the estimated delivery time but thankfully it was hot, I would still order from New Red Cap again

Shocking service, rude , late and no apology !

When I rang to enquire where my food was, the person from Red Cap and the delivery person was rude. " Here's your food"

Really disappointing. Ordered at 8.22pm. Received a phone call at 9.50pm to say they had done a big order for NG6 so did we want to cancel. Went ahead as was promised would be delivered by 10.10pm. Finally arrived at 10.40pm - cold, dry, tasteless. Money down the drain for nothing. Won't be ordering again. Maybe don't accept orders you can't keep up with in the future.

The young man taking the orders was superb, he accidentally rung the wrong dish through, I hadn’t noticed but he was honest and admitted what he had done and tried to give me the difference…only £1:20, he was very apologetic, I said he could keep it for his honesty, he promptly put it back in the till, when I asked why he said the toll won’t match at the end of the day, he informed his boss what had happened but not sure if he kept the money which I know isn’t much! This delightful young man will go far in life of that I’m sure. Hope he gets to see this review! Also, the meal was very tasty, salt and pepper chicken with egg fried rice, if you’re not keen on sauces this is a perfect dish with a hint (big) of chilli

The worst food ever ordered we had a chicken curry with some other items some of the chicken was tuff myself my partner and daughter have been sick all day constantly on the toilet I do not recommend this place I will be contacting health and safety first thing Monday morning.

Ordered in advance just got back off holiday After 2 hours phoned and was told there had been a problem with orders and ours was next, so after 2 hours told them to cancel it. We are very regular customers and spent £100’s of pounds with them and under the just eat ticket voucher scheme never had one loyalty acknowledgment or discount When i contacted them to ask what had happened and asked why they hadn’t been in touch after an hour of being late,to let us know what was happening instead of leaving it even longer till I rang, to be told “ours was the next order.” Well sadly you have lost a very good customer and someone who tips well on every delivery and spends a lot of money Also 6/7 other households ( our relatives ) will not be using them either, because of the “ don’t care” customer service when we phoned. So sadly another loss of revenue for a local business

Ddelivery was late ,it took over 2 hours to recieve our order .I recieved a call AFTER our food arrived as i complained only to be told they had lots of orders drop and it was busy..They should be managing this and not submitting a window of delivery only to be an hour outside this. Very poor service.

Despite putting in Note to Restaurant I was told off because they were trying to deliver the food. If the doorbell isn't rung I can't hear the door. I am deaf/ hard of hearing and my dog is old and no longer alerts me to people at the door. I pointed this out in the note but it was obviously not passed on the the delivery person.

After paying for the order, the delivery eta was over an hour, so I telephoned and arranged to collect. When I got home, the prawn toast and a can of coke was missing. I telephoned again and eventually it arrived, long after we had finished our meal

It was ok. Crispy beef really hit and miss some crunchy some soft. The vermicelli noodles were so dry with no flavour. Crispy seaweed too sweet. A bit bland & over priced especially when I didn’t enjoy it that much. Should have looked at reviews in depth before I ordered!

We had to collect the food even though we paid for delivery. It was ordered at 7 with estimated delivery of 8.05 and by 8.45 we still had no food. Restaurant blamed it on the rain!! We ended up going to collect it because they couldn’t give a delivery time when we rang up twice. We requested the £2 delivery be refunded and they said no cash, despite being a cash only take away! Reluctantly they handed over £2 but they were exceptionally rude on the phone and wouldn’t commit to any delivery time whatsoever, instead requesting we cancel the order. It’s a shame!

Ended up collecting the order as the delivery time had changed and was still over an hour late. Always a delay on the order from here but not usually this long
