Great coffee stop after horrendous journey on M62 while peering up car. Food looks great but we didn’t have time. coffee and scone v good. Will use again.

Great fish & chips! The service was friendly and efficient. Fish had lovely light crispy batter and the chips were good. Cups of tea were also spot on.

Had fish and chip and what can I say absolutely disgusting never again would I buy anything from hear chips rock hard and under cooked the fish omg what a joke that was soggy and under cooked again it was vile NEVER NEVER AGAIN I would b ashamed if that was my shop

Food is okay if you like it undercooked massively. Cakes to be dry and chalk. I believe the only good part of this business is the staff

Disappointing delivery again. Obviously microwaved rag pudding, resulting in darkened, rubbery pastry and clumped meat inside. Tried to ring to rectify, but I have been trying for over half an hour and nobody is answering the phone. Don't have time to stop now. This is after delivery last week was wrong and delivery the week before the portions were meagre. Has been a weekly order of around £50

I don't really like Mr bakers if I'm honest, feel it's over priced and the portion sizes are tiny! However went and ordered lunch takeaway today, baguette chips and salad, 6 chips (not sure why they even bothered!) , tiny side salad, skinny baguette, literally paid 20 quid for 2 skinny baguettes - won't be ordering here again

Absolutely excellent, we had mixed kebab wrap meal and the hotpot , kebab was as good as we've had in Turkey,, hot nice and spicy and lovely fresh salad, the hotpot was beautiful ,, lovely staff and excellent food ,, can't wait to go back

The breakfast barns from here are amazing. Two full sausages and two eggs. Really filling and tasty.

Stumbled across this little place visiting my daughter, absolutely delightful, this is our third visit an we’ve had not one complaint, wonderful staff. Nothing too much trouble, even brought fresh water for our dog. Food delicious an reasonably cheap. We will be frequent customer’s thank you for your hospitality, an the extra special tlc for my daughter, her ice cream went down a treat. See you soon. X

The Mixed Kebab lamb kebab and chicken kebab was delicious I had it with rice and some bread. I was only going to eat half of it and save the rest for tomorrow but it was so delicious I ate it all. Had mr bakers several times before so ordered for my birthday today. Ordered in advance but they didn’t read the ticket and had it ready early so rang to see if they cud deliver then, normally I would have accepted as I know things are hard for local businesses, however my hubby wasn’t going to be home so I apologised that I couldn’t accept it. They were really lovely about it and advised they would redo it and deliver at the time requested. Wasn’t expecting a lot tbh as had this in the past with other places who have just left the food heated and delivered it anyway but it was read hot obviously fresh and delicious - service was great from the gentleman that rang and the delivery guy was lovely - support your local businesses they certainly deliver in more ways than one - thank you Mr Bakers 👏🏻👏🏻

My fiance and I ordered from Mr Bakers, through the Uber eats app, on Friday evening. Only a small part of our order was delivered. The delivery guy was nowhere to be seen. Phoned Mr Bakers and the person I spoke to, (Toni) said the delivery guy had supposed to have picked up ours and someone else's order, but had picked up 1 bag and left. Why are they not checking what he is taking? She told me they'd had no end of trouble with the Uber drivers, so I said well that should tell you a lot. She claimed the manager then brought the food out, but it is on Monday, he admitted he couldn't find our address! Toni said she would call with our refund on Saturday, before 10am or at 3pm, but guess what, nothing happened. On the Sunday got told the boss wasn't in, but Toni starts her shift at 6pm, it was only afterwards I realised it was Sunday and most likely not even open then. On Monday, my fiance goes there, speaks to the boss, but now it is over 48 hours, Uber won't refund. So they messed us about long enough to stop us getting our money back, they know full well what they're doing. Utter crap, avoid this scum.

Ordered fish and chips to go for my wife and I ....fish not at all crispy . Fish and chips tasted like it was cooked in old fat . Very expensive for the poor quality of food .....avoid ....better takeaway food shops in the area.

First visit and definitely our last. Food obviously cooked in old fat had a really nasty taste and wasnt cheap. Fish very thin curled up at the ends I've bought better quality in the supermarket. Really disappointed as years ago when I last visited the previous owners were in a different league.

Terrible food I won’t be eatin from there again needs closing down I’ll be telling everyone I know not to eat from that place anyway

My son went in to order sold him most expensive thing on the menu. Food was awful dry hard chips that tasted warmed up. Fish tasted of nothing but grease. Will be telling friends and family to steer clear.

What can I say..well as far as me and husband are concerned lovely fish (I’m allergic) and yummy chips and was open on a Sunday. Will be coming here again without a doubt.

Como dice el título realmente, no es el lugar más elegante, una tienda de chips con asientos estilo cafetería y un menú más amplio que incluye desayuno y especialidades durante todo el día, pero el servicio fue amable, el lugar estaba limpio y no fue un problema sustituir un artículo I No quería en un desayuno cocinado. Volvería de nuevo.

Este lugar es asombroso, el mejor lugar en Manchester o tal vez incluso en Europa, el chef (hombre alto) me echó una lágrima con el desayuno que preparó. Luego probé el bacalao Cajun como opción de almuerzo. No pude evitar mi propio gusto. Los cogollos, ya que este es el mejor bacalao que he probado, el personal en el frente era un servicio sublime de cucharas de plata reales. El café estaba más fresco que el suelo colombiano. Ha crecido mucho este lugar, incluso se admiten amigos.

You learn something new every day...Brother took me to this place for impromptu quick lunch. Not had a pudding and chips since I was last over from Oz. Chips were fabulous and the pudding was exactly how I remember them. Was introduced to Rag Pudding... still not sure what that is. But Brother seemed to enjoy it. We fed 3 large people for £15 ($30 Australia equiv). Not bad... we even had leftover chips for breakfast... sausage, baked beans ad leftover chips. Class we are! Recommed. Great cheerful service.

Mi hermano estaba en la zona, así que decidimos conseguir un desayuno. Vine aquí nunca había sido antes. Ambos nos pidió un desayuno inglés que tuvo la grande tuve la normal y para un café en wythenshaw es caro. La comida es bastante estándar especialmente salchichas parecía precocida y frito? Gran desayuno £6+ y ni siquiera un café con eso es ridículo. No puedo decir il pensaré volver pronto.

Very disappointing, batter on fish was thicker than the fish, soggy and full of grease. Gravy was thicker than custard, you needed a knife to cut it!! Chips were hard tasted warmed up. Over all the bin did well!! 😣😣

He sido vegetariano por más de 25 años. El mejor vegetariano que he tenido un lugar celebró en Ambleside hasta que vine aquí hace unas pocas semanas WOW. Si no has probado por favor, incluso si su carnívoros probar este es increíble. Ahora estoy regularidad en el almuerzo gracias al hombre de detrás del mostrador para hacerme consciente de que una, él y el resto del personal son un ejemplo de cómo debería ser entregado el servicio al cliente.

Good tasty food and the staff are polite the vegetarian breakfast is filling and goes nice with one of there many coffees they have to offer.

We visit Mr Bakers a lot, the food and service are brilliant, I particularly love the spam fritters and the chips and gravy. You can eat in or eat out, it is by far the best in Wythenshawe!

Food was freshly cooked to order, tasted beautiful. Staff were really friendly and accomodating. Place was clean and relaxing. Definatley going back. Best breakfast we've had in ages.

Was the first time I have walked in to Mr baker I wasn’t expecting the service and the food to be spot on! But I was TOTALLY shocked to see how good customer service they provided and plus the food was totally amazing! If anyone hasn’t tried, make sure you do and order the Cajun Chicken with chips and salad! I swear it’s worth the time, money and taste! Really enjoyed the meal and was spot on with the flavours added to my meal!!! The trip was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! AND ALSO TRY THE Millionaire milkshake!! and English breakfast!!!

Myself and my friend are not the most confident of people and often don't go back to a place if we don't feel comfortable there. This most definitely cannot be said for Mr Bakers! On our first visit we were treated like friends, not just customers. A few weeks down the line and the staff feel like friends too! There is a difference between banter and offence and this lot have it down perfectly! I never get thrown out for singing along to the radio and We never leave without having laughed (a lot), however badly the day may be treating us and that is before the delicious food (I will be lynched by my friend if I don't mention the home made cheese and onion pie, to which we are both a little bit addicted!) but what is special is the personal touch of the manager who will offer a healthy home made alternative whether it is on the menu or not! Great food, great staff, great atmosphere... Why go anywhere else?Love Heidi and Kelly xx

My job in Sales takes me all over the UK and this place has proven time and again to be one of the best chippies in the whole of the NorthWest. So much so I specifically go out of my way to eat here after a long day's work. Truly delicious food that hits the spot, exactly, every time. Coupled with customer sevice that exceeds high end restuarants, this place always has me leaving with a very satisfied smile no matter how the day has gone!

Nice breakfast was a little small but all freshly cooked and served hot. Owners very friendly and welcoming cafe very clean and well set out. Toilet could have been cleaner especially as it was only 10 am.

Has been better.... I think it has been taken over by new management and the prices have gone up... but the food quality has reduced. ... Wouldn't rush to come back....

Eaten here a few times now and have always found the place to be good quality and the service is second to none. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place.

My Dad and I have been coming here for a couple of years and it never disappoints.The place is always clean and tidy and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.We usually have breakfast and tend to chop and change our order,nothing is too much trouble,the food is hot,tasty and well presented.These people know how to cook an egg!The chips are always crisp and never greasy.This is by far the best value for money place to eat in the area.

Me and a large group of friends come here once a week and have done for the past 2 years. Food is always great and all 15+ of us have never had a bad meal,staff are very helpful and always have time to chat with us. My favourite dish is Cajun chicken which I recommend to everyone! This is the best eating establishment in Wythenshawe.Excellent food, very clean and very friendly. The staff are really good.Good seating areas, papers to read.All in all its a great eating experience.

Have been to this chippy a few times in the past and has been pretty good. Went on 12th Oct, Mon evening about 6pm. Ordered two fish & chips, cheese & onion pie, the chips rice and curry were ok. I think the fish had been sat around too long keeping warm, hence it was very dry and not very nice. The pie must have been reheated in a microwave that too was dry and not very nice. The chips were ok again have had a lot better from this chippy. I know that it is under different owners because the previous guy I always spoke to. I was going to give one mark but gave it two because of the nice lady working behind the counter. I was also charged an extra 50p for using my debit card. Will not be returning.

Not a very special place, the chips were mealy and the rest of the food were also not very good or tasty.

I went there with a few friends. We ordered mostly fish and chips. To my swedish taste buds, the chips were not at all tasty, the peas tasted nothing and were overcooked. The fish was ok. No lemon was included though. From the rest of the trip we understood chips often come like this but to me this was sub-par. At least the price was low.

Great atmosphere! Friendly staff, I've always enjoyed my meals from here, no matter what I've chosen. Would recommend it to anyone! The ice cream they sell is the best I've ever tasted & the fish & chips is spot on!

I visit this cafe lots with my 89 year old dad. Wherever we are if weve been shoping in Sale or Stockport he always wants to come back and eat at Mr Bakers as he sais "best stick to what you knows the best". My dad only ever has the same ...fish and chips , so he knows wat he likes, thin crispy batter and lovely white fish and he gets it every time. Since weve been coming ive discovered the home made hotpots omg they are the best ever!!! Staff are lovely as well. Deffianetly try this place you will be glad you have.

This chippy is one of the best in the area.I suppose the important thing is the fish and chips so it would be accurate to say the fish and chips were of excellent quality with a variety of fish being available upon request. The rarer extras such as battered sausages, spam fritters and the fried pea fritter were also very nice.Interior is comfortable but the customer service and prices slightly let the place down, I wouldn't let it deter me from returning though!

visited here the other day. Meals were tasty! We got a chip shop meals very enjoyable. Cheap prices too. Service was very rushed. Didn't want you stood at the till and tried to get rid of us by rushing us. Clean tables. Ate inside. Toilets clean too.

Had a lovely cooked breakfast at this place Lovely bacon sausages and black pudding, decent fried egg, ok beans, dissapointed at having tinned mushrooms, tinned tomatoes ok. Good coffee. A decent place for a good english breakfast.
