A great place to visit. Had a fantastic night, well looked after with fabulous service and a delicious meal in here…Highly recommend the chicken & chorizo kebab risotto…so tasty, a dish full of flavour.Just perfect!

Really lovely fresh food. The pizza’s in particular are excellent. The staff are pleasant, but inexperienced. It should have Italian music playing rather than the chart top 40. So the Italian feel is distinctly lacking. Sort the hygiene rating

we have been looking for a chance to visit mozzarella. a bit surprised that they close at 7 on Sunday but rushed to get there. relaxed welcome and initial service ok. gotta wonder what type of Italian restaurant runs out of mozzarella starters? main meals were fine and decided a liqueur coffee would be instead of dessert. the coffee was luke warm and about 1/3 cream. absolutely undrinkable. we needed to chase up for bill.

Came here on Thursday, after not having visited for a good few months. It was fantastic! The young lady who served us was excellent. Really friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us, as well as being very professional and knowledgeable! To be fair, all the staff we came across were really friendly! We had risotto, fishcakes and pizza bread. All of which were absolutely spot on. The bill was really good value too!! Now the evenings are getting lighter, we'll definitely become regulars again 👌

I was probably expecting too much. Food was just average. Service was ok. Unfortunately they did get our order wrong and we did get someone else's order half way through the meal. Sorry, won't be back anytime soon.

Small seating area but great food

We had a wonderful meal here the other night. The atmosphere for a Thursday night was great. Good to see it busy again after covid. The restaurant was warm which quite a few places I’ve been recently hasn’t been! Food was delicious. We all had starters, I had the Arancini was good. Everyone else ate all of there’s and good comments all round. Pizzas were wonderful as ever. The margarita cocktails were one of the best I’ve had. The service was good just a little slow. Thank you Mozzerellas team. As someone who’s been dining with you for 10 years it’s great to see you keep the standard high!

Absolutely stunning food, tried the Calamari for the first time ( gorgeous ) and then a Pepe King Prawn Pizza full of flavour. Definitely recommend it

The Beef Lasagne I ordered was more like Cottage Pie. There were lots of at least half inch cubes of carrots inside, which I have never seen in a Lasagne. I asked why and was told the restaurant had got a wrong delivery of ready chopped carrots . Wouldn't you have thought a decent Chef would have noticed when making the Lasagne 😔😔

Good food and always delightful staff. A favourite place to enjoy a drink and meal. Always a good vibe here. 2023 update! Great family meal and all had a good time and enjoyed it. Two minor points prevented a 5* rating. Dark chicken meat on one Pizza and fatty bacon on another meal. We shall definitely visit again. Staff - top marks. Thank you.

First timers last night....had a lovely meal ....4 of us all had different and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was great ....girls (and lads) were really friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended !

We reserved a table for our party of nine for 8.30pm and showed up 5 mins early. They told us our table wasn’t quite ready, and when I asked how long we would wait they said 10-15 minutes, which would have been 8.35-8.40pm. We were shown to our table past 8.50pm. Most of the meals were fine, but portion sizes for the non pizza dishes were small, and the mushroom risotto was wet and flavourless. The chicken caesar salad was dry, missing any dressing. The chef and servers were frustrated with each other which didn’t help the atmosphere. We have previously been very happy at Mozzarellas, but we were not impressed this time.

No. Never bothering again. Feel bad for the limited staff working as they tried their best. Set up to fail.

Best Italian food for 1000 miles.

I recently visited and although the food was good (minus some burnt chicken) the same cannot be said about the service unfortunately. I did send a complaint via email on 02/10/22 which was ignored sadly. Pasted below. Good Evening, I am saddened to have to make a complaint about the service we have received this evening (02/10) booking for 4 people at 17:30. We arrived and booked to sit in the main restaurant. The waitress told us our table was in the corner and literally pointed to the table we were sat at. Not at the fault of the restaurant, but we were sat directly next to a party of around 15 who allowed their children to practically run up and down the length of the room and persistently stood behind my chair banging on the window making our overall experience both loud and extremely frustrating. As mentioned previously I understand this isn’t the fault of the restaurant but never the less the customer could’ve been asked politely that their children sit down in a nice way. My dish arrived which was the chicken and chorizo risotto, both the chicken and chorizo was burnt. Our empty dishes were left on the table for around 10 minutes without the waitress clearing our table or offering to bring the children’s sundaes so I had to go up to the counter, but to pay the bill. The waitress didn’t ask if everything was okay with our meal and also failed to recognise we didn’t order the sundaes. Overall I am extremely disappointed as when I have been previously the service was nothing short of excellent but on this occasion the customer service was very very poor. Kind regards Leigh

It's modern and contemporary. The food is great, and the staff are very friendly.

The Italian food at this restaurant is of a poor standard. I recently visited with my son and ordered carbonated it was like a soup of cream with spaghetti in the middle. I returned the dish I was told it would be remade infact sum of the cream was removed and brought back. I have had this dish on many occasions it should be coated with cream not sifted in soup. There are is no copetion in marsden if their was i doubt locals would visit this restaurant.

Excellent starter in an excellent bar. Mains were undercooked or just microwaved. Reminds me of an Italian restaurant in the 90’s. A shop bought pizza would have been at a better standard.

Found my meal, lasagne, lacked authentic seasoning ( oregano etc) most of us said it was OK.

Chicken tikka shouldn't work on a pizza, but it really does, and the gluten free base was very very good.

Always a great meal for families, every time we go it's fab service! And you must try out the Yorkshireman Pizza!

Not up to the usual standard for some reason. Mains of mushroom risotto was very watery underneath and the beef lasagne was lacking flavour and dry. Starters lovely. Didnt have room for desert.

Wonderful blue cheese, mushroom and caramelised onion and rocket pizza and pasta on a Friday night. Lovely staff, food served in great time. Music was a bit loud in the bar but not by much. Would definitely go again.

Recommended by our Air BnB host and did not dissapoint. Booked a table and met by a welcoming team of staff. Ordered drinks and garlic dough balls to start. Really tasty and all came out hot and in good time. For mains we had a carbonara and American hot pizza, really tasty and good portions with a thin crispy pizza base. Finally we had a chocolate fudge cake to end and was extremely pleased with the bill at the end! All in, very impressed and would highly recommend a visit if you're staying in the area during it looked like they did takeaway too.

Absolutely 100% beautiful place to eat and their pizza are devine I've loved this place from being young and living there.

Beautiful food, great atmopshere and fantastic staff who were very accommodating when we requested to sit in the restaurant with chairs rather than stools in the bar area. Our only observation was that we were rushed from one course to the other. The waitress brought our main course to the table when we had literally only just finished our starter. She had to take the food back and clear the table before she returned with our food and cutlery.

I booked this on Sat night for my husband and I. We arrived a few mins ahead of our booking and were told we'd be seen shortly. We waited 10mins and were told our table wasn't ready, but that we could have a seat at the bar tables and could order food there, but I'd booked a table in the restaurant as I didn't want to be sat on a stool. When I asked how long the wait would be, they said 30mins and served takeaway customers faster than we were served. We had rushed over from Bakewell to make the booking on time, being told we'd have to wait 30mins for our table with no intention of them compensating us for our time, was just unacceptable. I'm sure their food is nice, but sadly never got to try it and doubt we ever will now. I'd say don't bother booking - they don't keep to bookings anyway. You're probably better off walking in like the couple before us who were still sat on our table for our booking probably did!

Booked a table for 8.15 and was told it wouldn’t be ready for thirty minutes when we got there. Staff seemed to be rushing take away orders while ignoring us. We were eventually sat on bar stools by the door as an alternative.

Had some great meals here. Ordered my favourite Mozzarellas pizza for takeaway last night - Ham & Pineapple. Could not believe it: instead of the usual delicious flakes of roast ham hock that this pizza usually comes topped with, I was given a pizza with cubes of SPAM on it. I hate SPAM - had to pick it all off before I could eat my pizza. Gutted.

Our first visit and a pleasant experience overall. We had a starter and mains but unfortunately one of our mains was not available (smoked haddock risotto) which was disappointing so we both had the beef lasagne which was quite tasty and a good portion size. The staff were very attentive and cheerful and the atmosphere quite warm and busy for a Sunday evening. Will definitely visit again and would recommend.

Really disappointed! Pizza completely overpowered by tomato sauce and very little topping (other reviews have said the same). I mentioned to the waitress but she didn’t seem to care - even though it would be such an easy thing to fix! We also had to ask a few times for our drinks to be served and the overall service was poor. Such a shame, as there are very few places in the village to eat out and it used to be amazing. I wouldn’t go again ☹️

Offering a takeaway service during lockdown which is amazing in itself. Ordered a vegan spicy vegi and a meat feast (contradiction in terms haha) and some sweet potato fries and it was AMAZING. I would put it down to being the first takeaway we’ve had in 9 weeks but I’ve been here before so know it’s 100% down to the Mozzarellas team! I’d definitely recommend, whether sitting in or taking away.

Great service, the staff were excellent.However the pasta dish I had was cooked in the microwave,and so was my partners risotto.I could have bought both at any supermarket for less than a fiver.It seems that the menu Is somewhat curtailed due to the Jazz Festival. No excuses. Microwave food at extortion price.Never again.

Rushed in to get a meal before departing on coach. The food was brilliant, the wine great and the staff helpful and friendly. Almost decided to stay and miss the coach. Prices were also very reasonable.

We have been here twice before and have always loved it. Came on 18th May for my husband's birthday and I was a little disappointed. Both of our starters (prawns for me, mushrooms for my husband) were lovely. My husband had the ribeye steak for main course which he said was nice. I ordered the salmon tagliatelle and it was really disappointing - very bland, didn't really taste of much at all. Added some pepper but it didn't improve. No one came to ask if everything was ok and so I couldn't discuss it. I didn't even eat a quarter of it, yet when the waitress cleared the plates she whisked them away without asking if everything was ok even though I clearly ate very little. Thankfully the puddings were nice. I'm very 50/50 whether I would go back after tonight as I thought it was very poor that no one asked were the mains ok, especially when one meal had barely been touched.

Arrived at 6.45. Food arrived at 8pm. Had to ask for another round of drinks while waiting. 2 of the party were served 5 mins before me but with no cutlery. I got cutlery from the bar. I told the waitress that I had to get cutlery for them. She didn’t apologise she told me she was just about to do it. Too late I’m afraid. Would prefer an apology rather then an argument. Noone checked with us if the food was ok. Poor.

Unfortunately what I ordered was not great. Ceasor salad starter was not a Ceasor salad. Incorrect components and dressing tasted like salad cream. Locally I do like salad cream so didn't complain. I ordered seafood pasta off the specials board and that was claggy to eat and the seafood was overcooked with lack of flavour and killed by a thick garlic ever congealing butter sauce. Coffee at the end was of a good standard and best thing of the night. I don't want to condem this restaurant. I didn't complain on the night as it was a special occasion so I can't comment on how they may of put things right. The young waiting staff where welcoming and attentive and I would score them high for service. I would probably visit again to try something different on the menu.

Usually love it here, we usually order to take out, however on two occasions now we have been told they are “not doing take outs tonight” which is really annoying once you’ve had your heart set on it (especially when your pregnant and know exactly what you want) Just disappointing, when they have a take out menu they pick and choose whether they are doing it or not.

Nice place and staff. Food is good but meagre portions. So rather disappointing.
