Moxy Birmingham NEC in Solihull

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the hot breakfast. Needs better quality bacon, sausage, a good char on the meats. Fried eggs, not scrambled. Would be 5* then.

Excellent in many ways! Very nice and well soundproofed rooms! Shower with top body products! I also really like the hall with many spaces where you can have a drink and socialize. Guys at the reception always very kind! Very well stocked breakfast! The air conditioning in the rooms is a little noisy but thank goodness it's there!!!

Arrived late at night, had to walk around and industrial estate as the NEC doors close during the night so location was a bit hit and miss. If you're travelling at night, keep this in mind as it may be easier to get a taxi from outside the NEC monorail thing. We ordered pizza to warm us up. It was absolutely delicious and the guy serving was really sound. Added jalapenos for us. Really cool relaxed vibe. When we reached the room (requested a higher up floor so we were on 6 and the top is 7) unfortunately there were people stomping around at 1 am. Called the reception and again, the guy was sound and said he would speak to them to ask to keep it down a bit. However, in the morning I requested an omelette from the lady on reception/bar area with tomato. This wasn't possible. When I asked what options you could have with the omelette I was barked at, it's just a plain omelette. The other options for breakfast are really good if you like cereal/toast, eat meat or meat alternatives (which I do not) so it was pretty limiting. My husband then asked for an omelette for me with grilled tomato on the side and jalapenos. They weren't able to put jalapenos on the plate because that's for night time only. At this point, I asked why she was being so unreasonable - she didn't feel that she was. I asked for my breakfast to be refunded, which she agreed to. Total waste if you ask me and doubt we'll be getting any kind of refund but this defo but a downer on our stay. We thought the vibe of the place seemed really chilled last night but this morning we met a Karen.

Thos hotel is so close to the nec and the bp pulse live. It's got all you need from food bar comfortable beds and quiet rooms. The staff were polite, helpful and really cheerful. Parking is off site a short walk away. From train station is a 5-10 walk.

Okay, the location is perfect for any event at the NEC. The bar is excellent with a good range of snacks/bar meals. A great place to meet up or unwind. However the best bit is how good the staff are. This our third visit, and James greeted us like old friends. Amazing considering how many geusts they see a year. During our stay Suzanne, Miguel, Kiesha and Ron looked after us so well. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. If you're coming to the NEC, stay here. The rooms are compact but well designed. You will be comfortable.

Even if you bring ear plugs, if you're on the 3rd floor, you might not get much sleep depending on whether someone is staying in the room above. Soundproofing is virtually non-existent. Fine decor is no use when guests can't rest properly!

Nicest ever front of house staff, so welcoming.

Average is more than enough for this dump, in fact it’s way too far. These box rooms for £200 a night is a disgrace. £5 for a bottle of water before bed. Rude staff and tacky decor, sums the place up. Crap

Nice modern hotel ideally situated for NEC and BHX. Bit of a faff with the parking being remote from the building, 10 min walk in rain not fun

Great experience, clean hotel and amazing staff! Very pleased with the hotel, beds were comfortable and the space was just right. Two of my group left items behind, the staff safely secured them until our return several days later. Thanks for your honesty and storing these items. Thank you again, you rock!

Arrived at the Moxy hotel, greeted by a lovely scent upon arrival, the lobby/bar/restaurant area was very trendy, service from staff was superb. I was sharing the room with a male work colleague to which upon opening our door, we realised our booking was incorrect with only a double bed, i mean i like my work colleague but not enough to share a bed with him, i went down to reception and the staff kindly swapped our room for two single beds which was great. The rooms were a little bit of a let down for me, very stylish but felt small (especially the bathroom) and some of the basics most hotel have such as an iron/ironing board, cupboard, additional pillows, fridge were not in the room. The mood light was shorting out in the room. The room was giving me very much romanic weekend away vibes with your other half/bit on the side. The breakfast was brilliant. The biggest let down was the half a mile away parking and £24 cost for two days parking.

Room was so comfortable loved our stay we extended it for another night, Tom and Dan made the stay super easy, they were so much help, couldn’t ask for better staff at the hotel will 100% be back… Only downside is we didn’t wake up in time 🥲, thank you Tom and Dan for all your help !!!

Great staff at this funky hotel. The only downside is the car park, which is away from the hotel, so a good 5 min walk between the 2. You can drive to the hotel to drop our bags off. Great location for the NEC.

Stayed here and found the customer service to be great, and the hotel itself is brilliantly presented throughout with a very modern style. We had the free welcome drink which is a bonus and a nice gesture and also had the breakfast which was also really good! This is an nice place to stay and ideal if visiting resorts world/NEC.

It had European socket, very convenient for European travellers. Young vibe! Food was great! However, if you have early flight, it is better to not stay in it. The NEC gate facing the hotel is only open after 6 AM. You can also go the opposite way anf take a big curve to reach the train station but there is no sign at all how to go there, also google maps did not provide a correct way. It was very frustrating. it is not the hotel’s problem for sure.

Great airport hotel at Birmingham Airport. Positioned only a few minutes walk from both the railway station beneath the NEC as well as the rail-link to departures at the airport. Staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful with data on directions as well as hotel. The bar and restaurant are very helpful and you have no need to leave to look for meals. Rooms are good and there is no noise from the planes arriving/ departing. A very pleasant surprise was the breakfast. Only expecting a basic continental meal, there is a full breakfast available from 0600. And if like us you have a very early book-in, they provide bags so you can take a meal away with you for later. Great for convenience to the nec and a spoons

New, cozy hotel. In the room you can have a great rest from the road. The exhibition center is very close. You can walk from the airport. But the convenient passage, unfortunately, is closed until 5 in the morning. If you have an early flight, take this into account.

This is a fantastic hotel from check in to check out the service was excellent, I booked a twin room instead of a double room by mistake however, this was changed for me on arrival with no problems, check in staff was excellent, the room was fantastic very quiet considering a major concert was on and hotel was very busy, we had a great night's sleep. It's about 10 to 15 minute walk to and from car park, and literally steps from the Resort world arena. Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from, I will definitely choose this hotel on my return.

Great location opposite the Birmingham NEC. Hotel feels modern and has a bar/reception open throughout the night where you can buy snacks and drinks. Rooms are clean and mine had a view overlooking the large lack infront of Resorts World.

Checked in at a reasonable hour, service in the reception was great and very welcoming. The room and hotel in general feel very up to date, Some nice details like a euro socket in the room, usb sockets etc. Nice views and ideal location for the NEC, literally on the entrance. The reception area is combined with a bar, a leisure/work/study just by the door with free use of an apple computer and a printer. Power outlets are very much everywhere and there is a large enough table that easily takes 10 people, plenty of natural light that is handy for video calls when the area is not busy, light background music.

Really helpful staff, great rooms with lovely views of the lake and so easily accessible. Can be expensive but it's worth it every time for me.

It was all going so well, a hip trendy hotel with great decor and a real vibe to it, free cocktail on arrival (don’t get too excited) but then the worse possible situation in a hotel, a 1am fire alarm and then a 5:30am fire alarm, and whilst these things can happen, at check out there was no apology no explanation. It’s not the issue that frustrates me, it’s the way that it’s dealt with. A sour end to what otherwise would have been top marks.

Very modern hotel with a relaxed environment. The lounge had a musical instrument theme which was visibly attractive and created a cool atmosphere. The staff were warm, welcoming, friendly and efficient. Room rates were rather expensive but I put that down to the 'Arnold sports festival' being held during my stay.

Great room with a very soft and comfortable bed. Breakfast not too bad for £12.

Perfect hotel for a visit to the NEC

Without a doubt the best place to stay if your attending the nec. We now only stay here the other hotels don't come close to hospitality that staff give you.Bart supervisor and his team best so far nothing too much trouble FANTASTIC
