I had a wonderful experience at Bulls Head. I went for a friendly get together. The food was amazing and the ambiance and vibe was excellent. The service was also spot on. I would highly recommend this place.

I'm giving this 5 stars because the young girl serving us was superb. Nothing was too much trouble - she even went and got some Pepperoni for my son to check to see if if was spicy! BUT she was absolutely stretched and the drinks service was abysmal - which wasn't her fault. The manager(I think as dressed different) wasn't at all engaging and left her two excellent staff to do the work. So the pub needs better management but the food is superb and the staff are great. The pizza and chocolate bomb was superb. As was the meat board.

Family Sunday roast...really quick service...food was lovely and tasty...and the puddings are amazing....great atmosphere...very chilled...a little bit pricey....but we'll worth it...shall definitely return...keep up the good work guys 😊

Stayed last night in a very nice large double bedroom. Lovely old English pub. Really liked it and all the staff were great 👍👍

Booked a meal for 5 for our Son's graduation meal. 2 of our party chose the Wine & Dine menu, £100 for 2. Drinks took a while to be served and we had to ask specifically for table water. Starters, whilst tasty, were lukewarm. The squid was cold. We told the waitress this and there was a marked improvement with the main courses. Seabass and Ribeye Steak were excellent. The wine, which was part of the meal deal and normally quite expensive was not opened at the table just brought out with the cork pushed back in the top. Always thought a bottle of wine should be opened at the table and tasted to ensure it's all it should be. There was some confusion over an additional bottle of wine on the bill, which the waitress immediately rectified, but we did not notice until the following day that we had been overcharged due to the Wine & Dine deal not being applied. To their credit, after calling, they credited us back the overcharge without quibble. Finally, as a graduation meal the website states that if this is mentioned on the booking the graduate would receive a glass of Moet. The staff were completely unaware and we had to show them on their own website before they agreed and they then gave a glass of prosecco.

Recently stayed at one of the rooms here for my birthday and it was such a lovely time. The room was lovely and clean and exactly what we needed for a night's stay. The staff were also really lovely and friendly which made this experience even better. The breakfast was lovely and it was nice having a vegetarian breakfast with everything that I would enjoy in one. We also dined at the restaurant and the food was great along with the staff that had served us. Will definitely be coming back again. Thank you :)

It's the second time I've been there, it's a charming restaurant that is also a small hotel. Meriden is the central point of England. Excellent quality and price! Even if it is a meal from a typical English pub, you can have a pleasant time. Very good service.

A lovely destination pub. It was a lovely hot day so sat out side, there were plenty of shaded tables which were kept clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly to us and our dogs. Nice menu choice and not too expensive, served quickly with a smile. Thank you team Bulls Head.

Poor service and disappointing meals

Food and atmosphere was very nice! However service was lacking. Had to ask after 40 mins of waiting for our initial drinks order to be taken, the first starter came out cold but this was rectified. Had to ask the waiter to clear our plates after finishing mains for over 20 mins. One of the toilets as you walked in was covered in faeces. Disappointing visit as we had heard so much and such a shame as the food itself was tasty. Won’t be rushing back.

Why I like this place..... Because I worked there 36 years ago as chef of steak bar 2 and have fond memories!!!

Lovely pub with fantastic food. Not cheap, but a great place to go for a treat or special occasion. Service by Alex was exceptional. He found us a nice table and was attentive throughout our meal without being obtrusive. Very well mannered young man. Very knowledgeable about wines well, which was appreciated.

Long wait to be served, unclean cutlery overcooked steak had me ready to walk out however the service after I raised the issue had me staying and genuinely enjoying the food.

Vacuum was in middle of floor when arrived, beer was end of barrel, it was returned and nothing was too much trouble to put it right. Service was very courteous

I have put a comment on Trip Advisor but in essence we have a friend who has a lot of allergies and the waiter was very patient and helpful to get something from the menu that would suit. My husband and me had the belly pork which was delicious and my other friend had a pizza which he had to take home in a box to finish. This is a lovely old pub and restaurant and we were made to feel very welcome. We will be going back for our anniversary.

Always have a great time when visiting.. sam who works on the bar is always friendly and accommodating, i never have a bad drink when she makes them. Cask drinks are always poured right and any cocktails i order are always made just right.

Sunday roast was okay at best, was tasty but not something you would travel for. Green veg was rock hard and dauphinoise potatoes undercooked. Roasted Carrots , beef and potatos were highlights though. Puddings were way overpriced and left alot to be desired! Service was generally good

Been on several occasions including Christmas but unfortunately yesterday was not a good experience, not only did we have to wait over an hour for our mains but when the meals arrived they were not up to your usual standards. It was a special occasion with my mother and mother in law both elderly 92 & 86. When asked how the meals were I explained that the beef roast my mother had you needed a hammer and chisel to cut it suffice it to say she left 2 thirds of her lunch. The waiter said he would mention it to the chef? That was the last we heard of it not even a sorry? Think we will try somewhere else next time.

I can not recommend this place enough. They went above and beyond. We stayed for one night, and had booked a double room. Unfortunately my husband had an accident a few weeks before our stay and with everything going on we completely forgot that we had a double room. My husband needs a bed by himself, so we asked on arrival if they had a twin room, sadly that was already booked and guests had checked in. Plan B, was for hubby to sleep on the floor, (he does this sometimes at home), so I asked if we could get an extra quilt, sheets and pillows, so I could make him a bed up on the floor. However, when I went to ask if it was possible to have some extra linen, the lovely lady I spoke to asked why. When I told her she said she absolutely could not have a guest sleep on the floor and insisted I took another room completely complimentary. I said we would be fine, but she was not having it. She said she just couldn't and pretty much insisted I took the other room. So we had 2 rooms, and we both slept well. If that wasn't amazing enough, she then allowed us a late check out again wouldn't take any extra money for it. (Completely my fault but I over indulged on wine the night before, so was feeling a little delicate. Honestly I can not believe how kind and helpful she was. My husband and I were so very grateful and we will be going back for dinner at some point. Thank you Lucy, you are a real gem, and you have such a wonderful team.

Basically it was all good, but the wine was pricey. 11.00 + for a glass is a bit much.

I went to the Bulls Head for dinner with five friends. The greeter at first only gave us the fixed price £100 per two people menu, which included three courses and a bottle of wine. I asked for the a la carte menu, pointing out that all six of us were driving so would not be drinking so much wine, and most of us would only want two courses. The greeter was clearly put out by this, and tried to persuade me that the other menu was 'better value'. She did eventually bring us the other menu but seemed rather unhappy about it. Thankfully the person who then served us had a great attitude so our annoyance was short lived. The food was very good as well.

Food nice, but not hot. Staff pleasant. Not enough on the menu for a guest not wanting a roast dinner.

Took my parents today for a treat in there 64th wedding anniversary . Waited over an hour for the food which was cold . Dad had a real ale that was so cloudy you couldn’t see through it … the young waitress explained it was ok they had cleaned the cellar and knocked the barrel hence the cloudy beer - well you should be letting it re settle not serving it . No atmosphere . Service was appalling worse I’ve experienced for years . Shame on you bulls head

Only stayed one night but the rooms were lovely and the breakfast was great.

Party of 7 on Easter Monday we all studied the original menu to decide what we would like to eat and not a lot was actually available to pick from when we came to order so then was directed to 'specials menu' so a little disappointed in that area. Cannot fault the waiting staff at all very attentive and looked after us with drinks etc. and after a slight accident with a glass replaced a couple of meals for us so 10/10 thanks guys.

Once again a great meal and service was excellent. The team are excellent with special thanks to for Owen, Nick, Kyle, Brad and Chris. Great Sunday lunch

We had our wedding reception in the private dining area and buffet in the night for other guests arriving , the food was amazing and the buffet was outstanding there was so much of it and the staff were really helpful and polite Thank you to Lucy, Bradley and the team for making our day really special

Had an awesome goodbye meal with my friends here. I had the crispy chicken starter and the duck salad main course. It was just out of this world. Joel and Ethan was a legend. Looked after us and kept checking if we were happy. All in all a very good experience, highly recommended.

We were a party of 4 who prebooked our table for 12.45pm . We arrived slightly early and the table was ready . Service was very quick , meals on the table in under 15 minutes . All waiters/waitresses were attentive and polite especially Jay who looked after our table . All the meals were lovely with good portion size . I personally had the roast pork belly. Would highly recommend a visit.

Busy Friday night and the staff were working really hard. Food quality OK but not exceptional. The battered fish was a little dried out. Maybe overcooked. And prices were top end for pub food. But a lively atmosphere and an enjoyable night in the restaurant. Good choice of lagers behind the bar. Ales not so much.

Owen was our waiter and was incredibly attentive and lovely, especially to my elderly mum, He was a gentle caring and fun waiter who gave good advice, pointed out the "small dessert and coffee" option and we will 100% be back, THANK YOU
