Costa Coffee in Solihull

Hi, Service was poor, staff were not helpful or greeted like others I used. Had a promotion for two drinks for £6.00 and got charged 45p extra for no reason. Sandwiches are expensive and not even appetising. Shop was nearly empty but I can see why. Salted caramel frappe was bland and just like milk. I have tried this Costs twice now with the same result. Better to go to Dorridge train station cafe more sociable and quality food.

Service was very pleasant, but coffee wasn't the best. Was tempted with a sweet treat, a little on the expensive side. Family friendly and spacious. Will try a stronger coffee next time.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Very professional and efficient. Food is great too.

Jan 2025 update...still my favourite local café, great service, excellent cakes and drinks. Also spacious with comfortable seating.

Costa always a must,coffee's great food nice

The Dorritch Costa is located near to Sainsbury's and the supermarket car park is the most convenient one to use if combining a shopping trip with a coffee break. The coffee when I visited was good, although I find Costa's use of very heavy cups to be a less attractive aspect of the service. As far as the service from the members of staff, it was both friendly and efficient. The ambience, especially the lighting is a little dim. Personally I don't mind this but I know some prefer a lighter environment.

Everyone who works at the Dorridge branch are so friendly and helpful, in particular Katie, Louise, Paulina & Chloe! You never have to wait long for drinks and they are always friendly when serving you. Great atmosphere and clean and tidy.

I've been very disappointed with this location a few times because they lack the range of vegan items that they should have. Even the best locations need to do better but the Dorridge Costa is woefully lacking in vegan sandwiches and other items. Also, the cafe is a bit too bright and open... Not enough quiet corners to relax.

I go every day, find staff friendly, clean seating, consistently good americano with hot ultimate blend milk.

A nice way to spend a wet Sunday afternoon

One of my favourite Costa shops in the Solihull area, not too busy or loud and great tasting food and drink.

Horrible service, the employee at the till told me I smelt from the rain which I found very offensive and I decided to go else where

Decent coffee and service, and loads of space. But as another reviewer has noted, it wouldn't hurt to put in a sofa or two to give the place a more relaxed feel. All the hard surfaces make it a bit loud sometimes.

Nice big space inside. Doesn't feel cramped or overwhelming like some Costas. Plenty of room to be whelmed in. Great coffee and service. Will go again. Not far from Dorridge train station.

Friendly atmosphere, thanks to Costa Dorridge team. And it’s one of the shops of the chain where they always remember to ask if I need chocolate on my coffee :) It’s important because I never need it, but I always forget to mention it. Super friendly and always smiling and very friendly team!

Nowhere near as nice as other local venues

Always great food and drinks. Could do with a bit of a clean up and don't like that you can't tidy up after yourself either.

Thank you to the Friendly Staff. And to the Lady who let me bring in my Daughters Miniature Daschund. So kind I have taken him in there quite a few times to socialise him. Never on a Saturday, thank goodness he was good. Thank you everyone that makes it Frieand welcoming.

Standard model Costa next to Sainsbury's in Dorridge. Loads of seating and space. Only one server when I was there but she did a great job despite how busy it was. Not my favourite coffee but ok.

Not keen on refurb. Too open not cosy. Naughty Costa designers.

This costa used to be a lovely experience but since the refurb, it now sounds like a school dinner hall when busy, very, very loud. Even though the staff are still the best from any costa, it now feels like a cheap cafe.

Great friendly staff, great service and excellent coffee

Costa is a good place to go. However the staff should be part of that experience, and this is where they have failed. Stroppy miserable looking girls where everything really did seem an effort. I really hope it's a one off.

Out of all the Costa coffee shops I visit this has to be the friendliest and best kept. The staff here are so lovely and whatever drink i have its always perfect
