Delivery always has something missing from the paid package order. Paid for sauces, food items, and meals.

I had not eaten lunch the day I went. For £5.50 I got a box with doner meat and chips loaded so high with salad it could not close. Worth every penny.

We buy fish and chips from Tugs regularly. The food is always great, freshly cooked and tasty. A large cod and chips does for the two of us. The portions of chips are big and the large cod is huge! I have tried a kebab too, and again it was tasty and generous in size.

great keebab...lovely chips...deffo going Sorry for update.Have been going there for some time.The food used to be great.Its gone down hill .The staff change constantly you have to repeat your order that many times. Kebab meat barely cooked.I ve tried numerous times to see if this place picks back up but it hasn't .. sorry it's a bit no from me now on.....

Don’t ever use these the app is now deleted I ordered roe and chips at £28 to the delivery of a sausage and 2 roes which tasted awful and when complained only got back £14 absolutely disgusting I will never use this chip shop again or Deliveroo

Everything was great except mushy peas too watery and too green. Too much food colouring maybe.

This is a great fish and chips shop. Love the 2 large fish and chips with either mushy peas or curry sauce for £16.99. Our favourite. However, I think the owners changed and before the large was proper large fish and chips. The new owner has started to shrink them, but keeping the length cutting them thinly. Plus you use to get a proper large bag of chips, now you get a box and that does not equate to the same qty. I understand costs have probably gone up, and so instead of putting up prices, has cut back on quantity. There is a lot great food on the menu with some great kebabs, puffed sweet naan bread and a Turkish menu.

The reviews appear positive so ordered large fish and chips, sausage and Turkish kebab box for takeaway. So disappointed, the large fish and chips were dry, stale and poor quality (mostly discoloured with black and green), fish was oily, Sausage is stale and dry and we ordered at 5:40pm so you'll expect food to be fresh. Food tasted reheated and reused. No fresh food here.

Great food, good value and very tasty!

I've just ordered my first large cod and chips, after hearing how good it was. It was a total letdown, the fish was overcooked and flavourless, the chips dry and again flavourless despite asking for salt and vinegar. I shall not be returning.

One of best fish n chips n shawarma I have tried in this area. Staff is very cooperative. Taste is super amazing. We always enjoy as family. Will be even better if they start serving some Turkish bread also.

Delivery time changed twice. When the food arrived it was right on the limit of the second delivery time. On serving my food it was only just warm so had to reheat in the microwave. Also included with the food was a unordered potato scallop which was dripping in fat. That went straight in the bin. Disappointing effort by Tugs. Their food is normally good quality. Sadly not this time.

I just wanted to say WOW! I never leave reviews but I feel I have to because the flavour and quality of the food I received was incredible, let alone the quantity of food for the money! Honestly my new fave place for takeaways x

When it first opened I was met with a pleasant owner and very proud to highlight his speciality menu despite it not being the best quality I thought I'd come back based on a very warm and welcoming owner who was just setting up. Great I thought, I will come back. Ever since, the food was disappointing, the portions reduced, the attitude of the staff and especially the owner terrible. I don't know what happened, its like a totally personality change or they feel complacent enough they can be rude to customers.

Dissatisfied. Why have Tugs decided to supply their food (large chips) in a cardboard box. Wrapped in paper then supplied in a polythene bag. What a waste of resources, and I guess this has reflected in the price. We are supposed to be reducing waste not adding to it. We want food in paper bags.

Nice Turkish kebab / food selection. Just a bit late.

I always order from Tug's off Uber eats and never had a problem, but today, they put donar meat on 2 of my orders instead of the chicken donar. I told Uber eats but no help whatsoever, very disappointed.

Advertising one price on line and a different one in store, over charged by £5 Avoid at all costs. They have lost the plot, used to be the best chip shop arrange, now non existent customer service.

If you order through their own website then maybe best to follow it up with a phone call because they don’t always realise you have ordered! But apart from that the food for price n portion is better than any other chip shop in the area. It’s as simple as that really. If you order donner you actually get donner, not dog meat like big John’s or highfield

Phoned up and requested a fresh fish and nuggets to be cooked Got there 2 minutes later, and I questioned if the fish was freshly cooked like I ordered, she said yes, Got it home and put it straight in the bin, The fish was like rubber, was chewing and couldn’t swallow it , Worst fish ever Waste of money and a customer lost Why say it was just cooked when it wasn’t Don’t lie to you locals

Fish was way overdone - dry hardly any in there and batter was rock hard. Both pitta kebabs were also rock hard and stale. Hardly any sauce. Meat was nice but more salad than anything. Better places in the area.

Food was delivered an hour and 10 mins after ordered. The delivery guy must of parked down the road and walked down till he found the house. The food was cold. There were bones in 2 of the 4 fish we ordered. One of the cheese burgers they stuck a piece of weird white hard cheese on top of the beef it was solid and cold. The other burger had a normal plastic cheese slice.

Very good, far too much rice. Next time will ask for half rice and more salad/breads

Maybe we should have ordered roe and chips as separate items as would cost the same as the roe and chips special which didn't come with many chips at all, but the food was lovely and we look forward to ordering again. Absolutely rubbish overpriced my chips was mixed with crusty bits of fried fish coating overpriced expensive better to go elsewhere,wants to charge more because they think there special just because there Turkish overpriced rubbish.

My order was wrong, I had ordered chicken meat and chips and I got chicken and doner meat and chips. I don’t like lamb. I know it is a very cold evening but the food wasn’t very warm either. Good took 1hr 20mins from ordering, not the best

Ordered via Just Eat after 18 months from last order (which was undercooked - prior to this, the orders had usually been ok so I put it down to a one-off but just didn’t feel comfortable ordering again as you can’t mess about with sea food etc) hoped that one and half years later things would’ve improved but this time around they’ve missed an entire meal out! I tried calling on the number listed (mobile number) but it’s switched off - I hardly ever leave reviews (even if they’re negative) as I understand that sometimes mistakes happen and it’s hard enough a struggle as a small business owner without trying to deal with negative reviews from customers who through either bad luck or misunderstood expectations have had a bad experience but on this occasion I felt that I had to share my experience as it’s the second consecutive negative experience. (It’s probably likely that 99% of Tug’s other customers have had a good experience and it’s just Sod’s law that I’ve had 2 bad ones in a row!) If the management does this read this, I’d be very grateful if you could please give me a pro rata refund for my missing items (and perhaps a goodwill gesture?…)

2 large cod and chips for £10.99. worth every penny. Fish is freshly made and chips are done in small batches so they are always fresh. They also do lots of amazing looking Turkish kebabs but haven't tried these yet. Ample parking outside or use the Tesco next door. All their staff or owner are friendly and helpful. 09/12/22 - above price is now £16.99. in line with price rises across most take out restaurants. Not sure how they can justify over 50% price rises.

The chicken is greasy and it’s not seasoned enough it has no taste to it and the scallops are rock solid too burnt I advise people don’t go their have small portions and high prices charged me £5.40 for 2 burnt scallop and 2 greasy chickens and I had to ask the man for a bag because he didn’t give me one and he thought I was going to carry two things.👎🏽 I advise everyone thinking on going there to not and go to Shirley Kebab House
