We were served by Sadid who was courteous and attentive throughout. The food was lovely and arrived very soon after our order was taken. The evening was really enjoyable and good value for money. Thank you.

Our first visit and we will be back, amazing service from Sadid and amazing food and atmosphere to sit and enjoy the food in.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday evening, all 8 of us were impressed, nice atmosphere, plenty to choose from on the menu, great service and very good food and drinks. Made for a very special family meal out thank you. Special thanks to Sadid very chilled and capable waiter. Offered some good advice since this was first visit for all of us. Think it won't be our visit to a Mowglis.

At one hand Good and recomendable place for a fine dine experience of authentic Indian dishes, on the other hand, it is expensive for the portions you receive. Starters are a must to taste such as chatbombs and gun powder chicken but very limited options. Mains has some good options, but I recommend rice when compared to naan bread. The ambience is very good and servicing is good, as usual it is quite busy during Friday and Saturday nights. The parking is also a problem during busy times, there is only roadside paid parking and a nearby paid parking place.

We had the most lovely time celebrating our 10th anniversary. Sadid served us and was able to recommend different items on the menu, as it was our first time. Fantastic atmosphere, the food was insanely good and the service was second to none. We loved it! Can’t wait to come back with friends/family.

It's ok just for experience nothing special or something amazing. Good was a bit expensive compared to the portions. One time experience is ok just to say yeah I have been there. Also there wasn't much vegetarian options.

What a delight! Food so tasty. Love the tiffin concept which means you can try a range of dishes. Butter chicken is to die for. Sticky chicken and Temple Dhal also recommended. Rachel was our waitress and was delightful making for a pleasant evening.

Lovely authentic Indians cuisine

Table for 7 on Sunday afternoon. We ordered all the a few starters (highlight: yoghurt chat bombs), all the street meats and all the curries along with some temple dahl, roti and deep fried breads. Overall, the dishes were nicely put together with some great flavours. When considered as a whole, however, I found the overall palette a little on the sweet and safe side and would’ve liked to have enjoyed some more savory (and fiery) notes in the menu. The temple Dahl was a little too buttery and underspiced; the paneer was delightful as was the mother butter chicken. Everything was well presented and the service provided by Emily was absolutely first-class - a credit to the establishment. I would have uploaded more beautiful photos but the Trip Advisor app is way too buggy for that.

My family and I came here for my graduation dinner and couldn’t have booked anywhere better!. All of the staff were so friendly and patient with us considering my grandparents had never been before. They were also so welcoming to our dog who came along to celebrate the day. Massive shoutout to our server Sadid who did everything he could to make the day so special. The food was absolutely amazing and rounded off the celebration party fantastically. Massive thanks once again ❤️

Had a lovely time at Mowgli for our son's graduation meal in Sheffield. One of our party was feeling unwell so kept leaving the table to go outside for multiple walks and the other had allergy issues (gluten intolerance) and our server Sadid was extremely useful in helping us sort through what we could get, even when we were being confusing at times. The swings were fun at first but after a while I was longing for another chair with a back rest, but the vibe was still lovely and the curry's were wonderful.

Family of 3 visited last night, the place is amazing, great atmosphere. We ordered cocktails and mocktails which were lovely and we were very well looked after by Sadid for the evening and he honestly made the night even better. Explained the menu, recommended dishes and happy to chat and laugh with us. When he found out it was my birthday he even bought us a special brownie with coconut ice cream. if i could give Sadid 6 stars just for the service i would. We will be back for more.

Quick and polite service and good vegan food as always. Staff kindly swapped a dish to something milder without charge. Definitely recommend it here.

The resaption person is rude don't know how to talk have a negative attitude i other things is good but service and behaviour is quite bed and the tap water there is some white stuff flowing in it

Mowgli is a lovely restaurant, nice and calm but fun atmosphere. Sadid and Marcy were so friendly and when our other restaurant was unexpectedly closed they made our night still seem special and sat us on the swings. They even brought me a dessert for my birthday!

Had such a lovely meal here last week, food came out quickly and was delicious. Service was excellent, we had a lovely waitress Lucy, who was very helpful and explained the menu well- will defo be returning. Thank you for a lovely evening! :)

Food: There was a variety of tapas style dishes on the menu, making it easy to share. The food was all hot and very tasty, and came out within a good time frame. Drinks: Nice cocktail menu with an Indian twist. The Delhi heights cocktail was especially nice! Service: Quick and friendly. Value: They recommend 2-3 dishes per person plus rice/bread. I was more than happy with 2 dishes so it didn't become too expensive. Atmosphere: Very nice ambience. I really like the swing seating as well a the fairy light decoration! Despite being busy, the restaurant still felt intimate. Had a lovely time and would definitely come back!

I'd heard great things about Mowgli and managed to get me and the missus down there last week. Food were proper tasty and the staff were great! Hats off to Kasha who walked us through the menu and made sure we had a top time. Will deffo come again. Legends!

What an expensive disappointment. I'm fully expecting to get the standard response to bad reviews (see screenshot ) that the food is 'not always to everyone's personal preference' but this was just poor and not as described on the self-satisfied menu. Portions were tiny but we didn't finish them and went away hungry. The choice for vegetarians was poor. Why was it so bad? Mowgli Paneer was about 5 cubes of unfried cheese drowned in a thick sour sauce (no sign of the peas, tomato or spinach the menu promised - 'maybe they're blended in', one of our party said hopefully). Temple Dahl was bearable but salty, slightly underdone and not made with red lentils as advertised. Holy chow was a dry mush of vegetables in a slightly stale loaf. The marinade on the Monkey Wrap chicken was all on the soggy skin. Bhel Puri was dry - where was the dressing? - with a couple of blobs of what might have been herbs. Rice was just plain with a couple of black cardamom. Roti were cold. Everything was under-spiced and very sweet. We didn't complain - we couldn't quite believe what we were being served and the staff looked too fed up already. Only the yoghurt chat bombs were good, although a bit sweet. The atmosphere wasn't vastly better - we paid over £100 (with no alcohol) to be sat in a really noisy spot with people pushing past and the music was too loud to have a conversation easily. And yet we were told on booking that they wanted the table back after 90 minutes even though it wasn't busy. It's not exactly welcoming. You get the impression that this restaurant thinks very highly of itself. TLDR: Food is overpriced, badly cooked and boring. There are loads of good places to eat Indian food, but this isn't one of them. I could have asked a group of first year students to cook us all a curry for a tenner and they'd have done a better job.

We came for an anniversary meal and we couldn’t have felt more looked after. The food was phenomenal and the service was even better - Kasia is an asset and we’re really looking forward to coming back soon!

Each dish is very pricey for what you actually get. Really disliked the tin bowls the food comes in, the treacle fries were actually cubed potatoes doused in treacle, too sweet! The lamb curry lacked depth and texture. Ordered rotis and got one each, which were dense and greasy. All in all very disappointing and £65!!! The whole place feels very tired.

Our first time at a Mowgli’s restaurant and it was fabulous. Such a pretty setting with soft lighting and decor that gave a subtle nod to the cultural beginnings of the idea behind Mowgli. We were shown to our table and, after reading the menu we realised that maybe it would have been beneficial to have been asked if we had eaten here before and understood the way the menu was laid out, or maybe have a note on the menu of how to best pick food from the different headings etc.. we asked a lovely worker if she could explain it to us which she did really well. The food came out in tiffin tins which was a lovely idea. That way we could share each dish between us in the centre of the table. Each dish we had was a wonderful mix of flavours and we didn’t want it to end! Amazing 👍🏻. I wish I could have taken more photos of the interior of the restaurant, but with it being a popular place it was full of diners. Nothing felt rushed and the food came out in good time, always served with a smile. Would definitely recommend.

Went with the family and it worked for everyone. The vegan options are great and the Chat Bombs are a joy. The Dahl was simple and delicious. They cater well for small kids; the gunpowder chicken seems carefully balanced to sneak just a bit of flavour past fussy eaters.

First time visit & not disappointed. Went for a birthday meal with friends. Excellent choices on the menu, something there for everyone. Staff were welcoming & professional & explained everything in detail. Food was great, the only minor niggle was the price of the wine. We thought paying over £50 for 2 bottles was quite expensive. Will rethink the drinks choice next time we go.

This place has the vibes of a wannabe franchise. I loved the coleslaw, but the Asian food lacked character. Don't bother unless you are rich and hungry.

The restaurant is lovely the staff were friendly and helpful. We were advised 3 items each and when the food arrived it was all really tasty. But with 3 dishes each it was a lot of food. It’s quite pricey when ordering so much food sundries and cocktails. If ordering a couple of dishes each this would keep the price down. Our overall experience was good and we would eat here again but not ordering as much next time.

A fantastic concept executed well, with unique and delicious food perfect for adventurous eaters that want to mix and match their dishes. Had 4 dishes with 2 sides, and not a single thing fell below standard. Would reccomend.

Had to think hard about this review. 4 of us ate here on a Saturday early evening. Seated on a table with swing type chairs, not my thing at all, normal seating much better. Being a vegetarian I found the menu not easy or straight forward, had to rely on others to order for me. Beer was warm when it came to the table and when asked if we wanted more drinks, I had to make it clear I wanted a cold beer this time around. I won't be coming back. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend.

Came in the other night for my wife's birthday. We loved the food, especially the lamb chops. Great service from the Greek waitress, she was very helpful and accommodating to me and my family. It was my wife's bday and she gave us a birthday brownie on the house, it made our night. Would definitely visit again!!!

What a disapointment, after ordering our food it arrived at various times in no order. The most disapointing event was when a party turned up with a dog over their shoulder at reception. This party were placed next to my table. This was not a guide dog. Staff were petting and cuddling the dog, and then the same staff were serving my party food and drinks. Not to my liking at all, and sorry but i will not be revisiting.

Service is friendly and welcoming. The food is way too sweet though and not authentic. Not sure why anyone would come here for dinner with so many better options down the street.

We have already visited this restaurant several times and the food has always been exceptional. I would particularly recommend the Bhel Puri, Mother Butter Chicken and Temple Dahl. Great service and the staff are usually quite helpful. I would recommend booking in advance as it can be quite busy at times.

Unique Indian dining experience where it is best to share smaller plates than get your own curry. Lots of options that are all delightful, especially the yoghurt chat bombs and paneer curry. Friendly and quick service and all in all a great experience !

I booked a table for my family: we all ordered different starters. First time ever have I heard my mum say hmm very nice and tasty. Then to the mains of different curries this place is a gem.. We all enjoyed the food served 10 out of 10. The service was fantastic. I think the young lady who served was Emma? Brilliant. Highly recommend. We will be back and thank you

We enjoyed the food amazing here every time we've been and so do our kids. The allergen menus was fabulous and make life really easy for us that are gluten & dairy intolerant. The service is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely, we've sat at regular tables & at swings ones. Nice drinks menu too includng great mocktails. Recommend booking, as it can get busy. It's a treat but well worth the trip into Sheffield for food from here.

We had a lovely evening at Mowgli’s celebrating my wife’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious and service friendly and welcoming. I’d particularly like to thank Emily who looked after us really well, particularly with recommendations and all the questions we asked about the menu. We’re looking forward to coming back very soon.

Beautiful experience, food amazing. Waiter was perfect unfortunately did not catch his name, but he was very attentive and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. All staff appear very happy and friendly. Atmosphere very relaxing. Very dog friendly, took our little dog with us and was very much welcomed. Will definitely return,brilliant value for money.

My first venture into the Mowgli saga began 4 years ago when I visited the Liverpool Mowgli and I'm ashamed to say that I didn't enjoy it that much. However after a group of friends said they wanted to head to this one in Sheffield, I was initially gutted as I wanted to go back to Ashoka, this was the place we had our last reunion. However it was a totally different story. Lovely paneer curry that made my heart sing. Thankyou very much for this experience folk of ecclesall mowgli and also Emily our waitress who was just great👍

Last Saturday night I tried out this restaurant for the first time and it was fantastic everything was sublime and I have to say about the service I think she said her name was Emily she was fantastic and super helpful for everything we needed and just a nice person , will be coming again.hoping for a similar experience next time

Just been to Mowgli with the family and had the loveliest waitress Emily. She was extremely helpful helping us decide what to order and very friendly. She made the experience so much better.

Went last Saturday, our favourites were the bhel puri, chat bombs and house chicken curry. Food came out pretty quickly & our service was great ( shout out to Emily) Would recommend getting 3 each as the portions aren’t that big, but would definitely come again.

Mowgli is such a great restaurant, the food is amazing and the staff are wonderful.
