First time visiting Mowgli, Sheffield and what a fabulous time we had. We chose the £25pp sharing platter as we didn't know what to order. Found Mowgli after a recommendation by our hotel staff. Brilliant food and friendly staff. I think our favourite dishes were the ginger chicken and the angry bird (chicken thighs with mowgli slaw). Great experience - would definitely come back here.

Served by britney, she was very polite and gave us an overall pleasant experience. Recommend Tamarind fries was very tasty and unique.

Food was amazing! Delicious and very flavoursome. Angry bird and goan fish curry were definite highlights for sure. Sadid was a very attentive waiter, nothing was too much trouble and he was very patient and friendly. Service was quick and atmosphere was busy and lovely to be around so many people enjoying themselves.

Fabulous food, friendly staff, and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Didn't realise it was Indian style tapas, which makes it a little pricey, but it was super tasty food. Mocktail was beautiful (and the only thing I managed to take a photo of, the food was so good). They have a gluten friendly menu, but they can't make any guarantee about cross contamination. It's a personal risk I choose to take, but overall, it is not suitable for coeliacs. They offer ice cream as a dessert. It was nice to have the option of a gluten-free waffle cone.

What a lovely restaurant, beautiful decor and the food is to die for! Everyone is so welcoming and had a wonderful meal, must try the veggie Keema, yum!!

Whilst the food is amazing, this is overshadowed by the poor service received tonight and the automatic charity tip and service charge, the server told us amount the put the bill down when we'd already paid, to be honest its shambles, won't be returning really.

Tuvimos varios servidores diferentes venir a pedirnos nuestros pedidos después de que pedimos (puedo agregar que había una mano llena de clientes esta noche, así que no estaba ocupado) También se seguían molestando si queríamos comida extra pedimos nuestro postre ya que lo pagamos, que preguntaron si queríamos extra a lo que tuvimos que recordarles que era parte del precio que pagamos. Como se mencionó la comida era increíble, pero pedimos la cuenta 4 veces un personal que pedimos no nos lo trajo que había apagado y se fue, cuando ella lo hizo traer nos dijo la cantidad total no nos dio la cuenta, así que no podía consultar el cargo por servicio hasta después. Seguro decir que no voy a volver

Went on a Friday night with a prebooked table to celebrate a very special occasion. The staff especially a male member of staff were extremely rude. We were told on several occasions that we need to hurry up and order and be done for 7:30 as they have a booking. Even though half the restaurant was empty at that point. The food itself was delicious but the portions for the price were too small. Especially roti and rice portion to go with curry were absolutely ridiculous. Our food was not delivered together had a few dishes first then had to wait for the rest. When asked another male member of staff if they can bring it together he said yesss he is bringing them all now but he has only two hands. I was stunned by the rudeness. We ended up with the mains only and left for another place to get desserts. Ruined a very special social gathering for a group of friends. Will never return to this overpriced place run by rude staff.

WOW! 🤩 This place is amazing! Lovely restaurant, lovely attentive staff and amazing food! It’s a dining adventure! My wife is coeliac and they cooked GF dishes separately and she loved being able to eat out with peace of mind. The rest of us shared our dishes and loved every single one! The only slightly negative thing I can say is, the swing seats could do with a cushion. Re-visited, have to say, it’s an amazing culinary journey every time. You order and share so many dishes with differing flavours.

Excellent food and a lovely place to eat 😋

I made a complaint about the Sheffield branch of Mowgli, received an apology but no sort of compensation or remedy to our experience. I will leave my complaint down below - Firstly, the service we received was awful, the staff were very rude and abrupt with us and told us there was no space for us when the restaurant was empty, we then booked a slot online for 10 minutes time and they told us they could not find our booking for 20 minutes until then finally stating they found it and hadn’t refreshed their page. We asked for water for our table over ten times during the course of our dinner and was told they would bring it over right away in which they deliberately did not the entire 10 times until I went up and got it myself. We were given dishes we did not order and whilst only asking for one rice and one roti our server brought over and charged us for 2 each! Even though we only asked for one. Our food when it came was placed on the table with no comments from the waiters and they did not even communicate with us.We were nothing but lovely to the staff but did not even receive a smile out of them once. We finally received our bill and was handed a bill of £200 when our bill was only £70 and after waiting 20 minutes for a waiter they finally realised did not apologise and just said ‘oh’. When we paid them we received no thank you all we received was ‘is this the money?’ And upon leaving not even a thank you we were completely not acknowledged. We even paid the service charge which I now regret doing so. Will not visit again.

Hola hice una queja sobre la sucursal de Sheffield de Mowgli, recibí una disculpa pero no hay ningún tipo de compensación o remedio a nuestra experiencia. Dejaré mi queja abajo... En primer lugar, el servicio que recibimos fue horrible, el personal fue muy grosero y abrupto con nosotros y nos dijo que no había espacio para nosotros cuando el restaurante estaba vacío, luego reservamos un espacio en línea durante 10 minutos y nos dijeron que no podían encontrar nuestra reserva durante 20 minutos hasta entonces, finalmente declarando que lo encontraron y no habían actualizado su página. Pedimos agua para nuestra mesa más de diez veces durante el transcurso de nuestra cena y nos dijeron que la traerían de inmediato en lo que deliberadamente no lo hicieron las 10 veces enteras hasta que subí y la compré yo mismo. Nos dieron platos que no pedimos y mientras que solo pidiendo un arroz y un roti nuestro servidor trajo y nos cobró por 2 cada uno! A pesar de que sólo pedimos uno. Nuestra comida cuando llegó se colocó en la mesa sin comentarios de los camareros y ni siquiera se comunicaron con nosotros. Somos de origen indio y se sentía muy atacado racialmente, no éramos más que encantadores para el personal, pero ni siquiera recibió una sonrisa de ellos una vez. Finalmente recibimos nuestra factura y nos entregaron una factura de £ 200 cuando nuestra factura era de solo £ 70 y después de esperar 20 minutos por un camarero finalmente se dieron cuenta de que no se disculparon y simplemente dijeron 'oh'. Cuando les pagamos recibimos no gracias todo lo que recibimos fue ‘¿es este el dinero?’ Y al salir ni siquiera un agradecimiento no fuimos completamente reconocidos. Nos dimos cuenta de que los miembros del personal eran perfectamente bien y agradable con los comensales caucásicos, pero como eran tan groseros con nosotros - la única gente étnica cenando - se sentía racialmente cargado. Incluso pagamos el cargo de servicio, que ahora lamento haber hecho porque no solo me molestó a mí, sino también a mis padres ancianos, ya que vinieron a visitarme mientras estudiaba en la Universidad de Sheffield.

Prettiest restaurant in Sheffield, good prices and great food! Lucy and Sadid were both very accommodating and friendly, offering us vegan menus at the door and making sure everything was good. Wait time was short also- thanks to kitchen and great bar staff

We visited Mowgli earlier this month and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was amazing. We were served by Sadid who explained everything very well in a nice, friendly manner. Ambience of the restaurant is great. We will definitely visit again if we travel to Sheffield.

First time we have ever visited and we will be coming back and would recommend anyone to try it. The staff were really helpful, more than happy to talk through the menu and make suggestions. Food was so fresh and incredibly tasty. A particular mention to the staff members Marcie, Grace and Sadid for their excellent service.

Amazing evening at Mowgli as always! Our waitress Lucy made us feel so special on my birthday and was so lovely to chat to. The food is always great but the staff and atmosphere make it the best place for special occasions in Sheffield.

Had an amazing time having dinner here last weekend! The food came out quickly and was so tasty- our waitress Lucy was so accommodating to my preferences and gave the best recommendations. This was such an enjoyable experience and I can't wait to visit again soon!

To start it looks beautiful inside with the lighting. The food was lovely we went for the sharing menu at 25 quid a head, was great value for money. Our server Sadid was brilliant and really helpful. First time trying Mowgli and we will definitely be coming back! What a lovely date night.

Service was great, we were hosted by Sadid and taken through the menu and how the ordering works. Food and drinks were lovely, would highly recommend the gunpowder chicken! Plenty of gluten free options as well (including gluten free ice cream cones!). Overall had a really nice time and will definitely be back in the future.

Such a hidden gem right at the end of the road! Came in for my anniversary and my girlfriend absolutely loved it. Service was very friendly and made us feel special. Food was cool little portions which we shared. Loved it!

We booked by phone and were told 4x adults and 1x child could sit on the swings near the widow with an extra chair on the end of the table - sitting on the swings was the only reason we booked as our 4 year old saw them earlier as we walked past. When we got to the restaurant the lady who 'greeted' us said it's not possible to put a chair on the end of the table with the swing chairs. She didn't offer any alternative suggestions.. or any apology. Just repeated 'its not possible' and that head office takes the bookings.. not the restaurant. She kept repeating this until my Dad and I honestly felt like leaving. We stayed.. but wished we hadn't. The portions in Mowgli are tiny.. (each portion is in a single layer from a 4.5 inch tiffin.. in India / Asia 4x layers = 1 meal) - so you have to order around 3x of everything plus rice at £10 each. The 'concept' is that all the portions are too small for a single person.. but they suggest "you should share them".. genius! Our bill for 4 people and a 1x 4 year old (without drinks) was £180. Food was average. Better off with a local Indian but take your own fairy lights. Not impressed at all. Our host Sadid was a really nice guy and an asset to the place though - props to him.

Been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile so decided to go for our anniversary and I'm so glad we did . We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Shaun and he was really helpful talking us through the menu . Both him and Kasia were so friendly. The food was excellent we picked 6 street chat dishes and loved them all , the chef even put the spicy sauces in a side dish as my husband struggles with spice . Over all we had a lovely lunch and would definitely go back , already recommended to our family and friends

I went for my birthday meal last night with my stepdad.. sadid suggested we try the sharer menu which was amazing mixture of flavours and different foods and included a dessert for just £25 each it was amazing value for money and sadid was very tentative and informative alway made sure we had everything we needed and felt welcomed along with another girl I think was the manager.. made my birthday special 5 stars

Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The ambiance is incredible and some of the tables have swing seats (we got to sit at one!). The food was flawless - all dishes were flavorful and delicious without overwhelming one another. Our server Rachel was outstanding and really helpful! I definitely recommend eating here.

Highly recommend! Marcey and Rachel were attentive friendly and so wonderful celebrating my birthday. The food is brilliant and they walked us through the menu so we ordered the perfect amount to be ever so slightly too full (which is great as the food is so yummy). Food was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of heat, super colourful and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the vegan tiffin box; each of the curries had its own unique flavor, and I particularly loved the lentil one. Really great options for vegans! The cocktails were fantastic as well—our mango margaritas were fab! Sadid was also a fantastic host, incredibly helpful, warm, and attentive to my allergies. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I can't thank them enough. I can't eat tomatoes which is quite difficult in some restaurants. However I explained this to the waitress who straight away spoke to the chef who went above and beyond to check everything for any trace of tomatoes. He even sent out a menu which he had circled the dishes I could have. The food was amazing and so was the service. I would definitely recommend

10th Anniversary dinner. Went on the recommendation of a friend and it didn’t disappoint. One of the nicest meals out I’ve had in a long time. Thanks to Sadid for looking after us.

Our first visit and it won’t be the last! The food was amazing and the service matched this. We were advised well on how many plates to order and how to eat certain dishes. We had the sharer meal and it was plenty and a great mix of dishes. We can’t wait to come back.

First of all the staff need to learn the universal language of a smile. Very somber faces. The restaurant is nice decor. Didn't like the food coming out in bits and bobs. I had the prawn dish....they were 5 prawns and frozen. Heard so much about chat bombs...was disappointed. I was so looking forward to it and was disappointed. Would not return.

Our first experience after my wife had been to the Leeds restaurant. Not overly inspiring I’m afraid Average food the chips were potatoe cubes the fish curry was ok and the lamb just again ok 2 lamb chips with potatoe cubes £13 wow. The chat bombs to start very average sorry will not be returning
