Super Service and tasty food with a good selection of dishes to pick!

The portions are small, we were left hungry….plus a lot of incomprehensible taxes

as always a great lunch/dinner. only negative - please warm up the plates before serving!

Honestly the best curry I’ve ever had. We had 10 random dishes and they all were phenomenal.

The food is not authentically Indian, the taste is too sweet and the price is not understandable, you should rewrite the price tag for the sharing set meal, 25£ per person not 25£ for two people to share, when I paid I was shocked at the price of the food, I will never go back again, the food is bland and not authentic Indian food.

Amazing! All of the staff were so kind and helpful. We had the yogurt chat bombs and enjoyed them so much that we ordered another round😆 100% would recommend, can't rate it enough!

The food was excellent but for the price of each dish it's a rip off.

Food and service ok but server when paying the bill mentioned the £1 charitable donation which was fine for us to pay but she didn't mention the huge 121/2% service charge. It was on the bill so our fault for not looking but as we're trusting!!! Needless to say we won't be eating there again.

Nice place and not what you would initially expect in an asian restaurant. Menu was very different and fodd quality was good. Portions were small and quite pricey

My wife and I shared yoghurt chat bombs and a vegetarian tiffin, plenty for lunch. Everything was excellent but the chat bombs were a stunning flavour burst in the mouth. The staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for an anytime meal - tasty food and as street food style you can try lots of different flavours without filling up. A tapas style Indian restaurant in effect - delicious - the lamb curry is a favourite - lush.

Had a great experience and fabulous food here. Our waitress Anna B. was attentive, helpful and very pleasant. The food was excellent, served quickly but not rushed. Great flavours, perfect portions (maybe a little more rice please) and the combinations were sumptuous.

Average food with an insane price tag. Very over priced. Service charge far too high, staff very rude. Was asked to leave when they heard me criticising the food to my partner. Horrible stuck up people. Gross

Lovely meal and really friendly staff. Plenty of choices and quick to be served. Make sure you order a few dishes as they are surprisingly small. It makes it pricey (£26, on my own with no alcohol) but doesn’t detract from the fact it’s fresh, tasty and served in a nice place.

Excellent hoice of food at a good price. Friendly staff who explained the menu. Small plates, we chose 6 to share, more than enough.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday for the first time at Mowgli’s, would definitely go back. The service was quick and the food was delicious. The chat bombs and gin powder chicken are amazing, I could’ve eaten more! Booking on line was easy too and I’m glad I did as it was busy.

Had to wait for our table to be ready so was shown to the bar. The young girl serving on the bar was lovely. Kept us updated and asking if everything was all good with our drinks. Got shown to our table and the young lad who served us was lovely as well. Came to us multiple times when eating making sure everything was okay and seeing if any more drinks where needed. Lost count on the amount of times I have been to various Mowgli around the country. And this one this time was the best! Absolutely amazing food and some really lovely incredibly hard working staff!!

Automatic service charge added to the bill without asking. I understand this is discretionary, but why not make it opt IN instead of opt OUT? I would usually leave a tip for the staff, but I requested the service charge be removed and no tip was left due to principles. Won't be returning.

Gorgeous food as always at mowgli. A very busy Saturday night so the service was a little slow and we waited half an hour for our first dish to arrive. Despite this we loved it all, the atmosphere was great, and our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.

Some staff looked so bored. I was served by an Indian guy, and fortunately, he was very nice. The other one looked like he couldn't be bothered to breath.

Visited here with family. First thing that struck me was how dark it was, no lights over our table, which was pushed right up against someone else's table. I'm not usually a picky eater but struggled to find anything I liked, when the food arrived, I didn't like it, it was very perfumey, so just shared some chicken strips. Unfortunately, it's not for me, so won't be returning. Also worth noting, we came out of restaurant smelling awful of cooking smells. Hair, clothes, coats etc, so bad had to wash all our coats the next day to get rid of awful smell.

Cosy place with beautiful decor..Delicious food and dessert...a blend of spicy dish and non spicy one, appropriate for kids who cannot take hot(chilli) food. Cute serving style in tiffins..caution though as it can be hot..yummy mango lassi and mocktails.

The food was amazing (as ever!), but especially appreciated the way staff handled things when my sister was feeling faint, going out of their way to take care of her without drawing too much attention or making her feel embarrassed. We’ve been to Mowgli before and will definitely be back.

We came without a reservation.Andy managed to fit us in and was a great host. We ordered drinks an food Craig the manager was amazing and helpful.Andy and craig checked in on us throughout our meal. Both an asset to the company made our time here memerable and looking forward to return. Thankyou both x

Really delicious food, massive selection on the menu. Well informed staff, Andy was really attentive and brought a cake for a birthday we hadn’t mentioned on a booking. Much appreciated

My first clue should have been the fact that there wasn't a single Indian customer dining in the packed restaurant. Second clue should have been the fact that none of the staff were Indian. If you like Indian food with traditional flavorful spices & heat, then this is not the place for you. While the food had some semblance of Indian cuisine, the food was, in my opinion, bland & definitely un-Indian in the traditional sense. The only thing I enjoyed were the chat bombs. A somewhat unorthodox play on Indian Gol Guppas with less tamarind and more yogurt. I'm sorry, but I did not enjoy the rest of the food at all. But hey, the restaurant was pretty full, so maybe the locals enjoy these flavors or lack thereof.

What a magnificent restaurant. The whole experience was amazing. Thoroughly recommended if you like delicious Indian food. Loads of choice and every dish we ordered was lovely.

Fab stop for a great meal. The Tiffin Box is the only thing to have, pot luck but all delicious.

The space is very nice but the food is unfortunately not matching it. The yoghurt bomb or whatever the name is tasted strange, the main meals were just ok and the lassi was probably the second worst I’ve ever had, which should not happen in a place that focuses on Indian cuisine.

The food tastes like you are eating spices and not well prepared .Portions are small but we couldn’t not complete them. Doesn’t taste like a real Indian food. Overall, overrated.

the Street Food Sharer Was amazing

Went today, not impressed, given the bill with a £1 charity donation underlined on the bill, so the statement by the server said it was for a cancer charity, no charity number available, but this distraction took you away from the service charge, which I didn't notice, but I still have her a tip, so, in reality paid a double tip, place was Vertully empty, the y never even had the decency to acknowledge we were leaving, very, very poor service indeed, will never enter there establishments ever again

Never had a bad experience at Mowgli, both Bold Street Nd Water Street. Service is excellent, prices are good and the food is amazing. Fantastic plant-based selection as well. Choose Mowgli for business meetings and personal dates. Highly Recommended.

Had the streetfood sharer. Nicely presented food but all tastes more or less the same watch out if you dont like hot spicey food. Two rosti breads and two rice servings for three. Someone's maths are off... nice clean place and nice cocktail.

Dined here with my partner and was served by Craig and his team. Firstly, the venue is elegantly decorated creating a great atmosphere to be in. The food was fantastic and tasted authentic. The service however for me was the standout factor even with the 5* food. So friendly and helpful, hearing the story of how mowglie has grown to what it is today. Can't say enough nice things about this place and will be back. WELL DONE CHEFS, CRAIG AND THE TEAM.

Relaxing atmosphere - obviously smaller venue than Castle Street- but well worth a visit. Staff were attentive and very welcoming - excellent!! We had the £25 a head menu - absolutely well worth it

If I could give 6 stars for service I would. Our waiter was so lovely. It’s a shame I didn’t catch his name, but I’d be happy to give details to identify him. Food was incredible, as with most mowgli chain restaurants, but the service from our waiter was out of this world, he was so kind and friendly. Thank you :)

I had the chip butty and house Curry with a few other shared dishes; the food was delicious, the service was good, and the space was a bit tight. From now on, I will be on the lookout for Mowglis anywhere I go.

Fantastic food and great service ! Our server Anna was friendly and helpful. We visited on a bank holiday weekend hadn’t booked as we usually would and were happy to be squeezed in as a walk in we never at any time felt rushed and were given plenty time to look at the menu . My partner and I had the mowgli steet food sharer which was great , the drinks were as good as the food .

Took my husband here for the first time and he said it was one of the best Indian places he has ever been to. He really enjoyed the old fashioned drink as well, said it was top tier. Staff was all very friendly!

Decent Indian food joint in the heart of Liverpool City centre. Their starters are divine and tasty especially Bheel puri. Main dishes are ok but nothing exceptional. Customer services is great and they cater for all dietary requirements ie vegetarian, vegan, meat and Halal. in my personal view 10% service charge is rip off and they should scrap it. Overall, good place to enjoy Indian food.

Amazing time at Mowglis. Anna was our sever for the evening, super friendly and helped us order perfectly. Service was quick, food was hot and most importantly delicious. We visited during the weekend of riots and the staff could not have done anymore to make us feel safe. Thank you for an amazing meal!

My fiancé and I split the Street Food Sharer. It was so much food that we barely had room for dessert! We don’t have this back at home in the US. What an interesting experience! The flavors are so complex and nothing like we have back home.

The food here was so nice all different flavors we got a chicken curry fish curry chicken thighs all kinds which were all so nice only down side was the food wasn’t the hottest maybe it was a one off because we did see other peoples food piping hot the rice aswell we had loads of over cooked rice pieces were the rice was stuck together and hard mixed with the soft pieces overall I would deffinatly go again because the flavors of the food were nice the little minted patatoes were lovely too and the slaw went so well with it all

Very nice restaurant, delicious authentic food BUT the waitress didn’t told us that the 12,5 % ! Service fee are optional. Instead she ringed the included amount. We like to give fee, but voluntary…

The best indian food we’ve tried, and we have tried plenty around the world. The sharing menu was so fresh, taste and you could taste the complexity of the spices. Our 8-year loved the sticky chicken.

Mowgli is essentially a Indian restaurant which caters street food. It has an innovative menu and follows a Parsi tradition of serving dishes in steel boxes (tiffin boxes). This gives it a very authentic feel. They have a bar as well with a menu that is very ecclectic. I tried Mowgli gin which comes with a slice of ginger and lime. It tasted very nice. The prawns, and chiken were very good and unique. The dal was very 'desi'. They serve home style 'rotis' (Indian bread). They have a kids main course and dessert also. The interiors are very likeable. Service is very caring.

Food was delicious apart from pickle which was too salty for my palette. Staff extremely professional and happy to share their expertise!

Overall it's not worth the hype. The menu is small and non authentic. The prices are high and the portions are low. Service charge added to the bill. Inattentive staff, average taste. Would not recommend.

Craige was FAB!!! Came here with my 2 friends without a booking and was happy to be sat outside and served by our lovely waiter. The food was incredible which was recommended by craige and he was lovely to have a chat with. We will definitely be back.

Very nice Indian restaurant! Original flavours, very tasty dishes and good service! The yogurt chat bombs, the Mowgli Sticky chicken and the butter chicken were my favourite dishes!!! I totally recommend it!

Before my review let me just say I visit Mowgli in Leeds and Edinburgh many times and they are always superb so it is quite sad that I have to complain about this restaurant. We booked a table for 10pm after a concert on a Monday. We were the only people in the whole place. This late booking obviously annoyed the staff because it was all bad from here. The waitress was sour faced and quite arrogant. When said it was quiet she basically said, "what do you expect it's a Monday night." The food when it arrived was very bland and one dish was burnt. The waitress was sarcastic throughout and the whole experience was very disappointing. I complained the following day at which point Mowgli tried to say it was my fault for not complaining at the time. I explained that I didn't because it was bad enough as it was without making it worse. I thought raising the issues with someone independent the following day was quite reasonable. Anyway I escalated the matter to area management where I received a generic reply fobbing me off. No offer of a refund or a discount to encourage another visit,not that I was after that, but it would have been a nice gesture. Never again Bold St, you are a disappointment to the chain.

Our server was Liv and she made us feel so welcome and comfortable. She answered all of our questions with no issue and overall just so lovely and friendly! Food came in good time and tasted incredible (my favourite is the fish curry)! Recommend to all (super Veggie friendly too)

We had a fantastic meal here following a show at the Empire. We had pre-booked to guarantee getting a table. From the welcome to when we departed the service was attentive. Our waitress checked we knew how many dishes to order & made recommendations. The food was delicious & thr ambience was vibrant but not too lively. I would highly recommend.

Wow, food is different from a curry house. Every dish we had full of flavour and layers of flavour. Sticky chicken is a must. Choose 2 to 3 mains each and share with friends. Decor lovely and staff brilliant. Looking forward to returning
