Just randomly found this place on a recent visit. Excellent service, great staff and above all, GREAT Indian food! Everything we ordered was soooo tasty and perfectly cooked. We are going back again before we head back home. Very highly recommended.

food was 25 minutes later than latest time given . when it finally arrived it was cold.

We went as a family with a friend. They were able to accommodate us without any problem (seven total). They were very friendly and kind. If you have kids that don't like anything spicy (chili type), then stick with the korma. I ordered some other curries that didn't have a chili next to it, but they still had a kick (for my kids). I don't remember what I ordered, but it was under their specials (maybe 21 & 27?), and I was very happy with the flavor of the dishes. Their mango lassi was also very delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I have been going to Mountain View on a regular basis for 12 years and it is always a great experience - warm welcome, perfect food, great service and very good value (especially given the generous portions).

While the food is excellent it's a simple formula and nothing to do with the passion of Basque country.At ground level,it's a canteen with no personal service or attention, just a team of kids getting paid for slinging dishes on the table.No Maitre d . House(decent) wine comes in at £20 for a half bottle,or £40 .Please!!?? Scotts,with no stars, is way superior for the same price.

I traveled solo and stayed in Greenwich for 3 months and cannot say more about this restaurant. The restaurant and staff are professional and the restaurant itself is extremely classy and yet so well priced. The first time I went, the owner Rom welcomed me with a smile and escorted me to a table. Radhika was my server and so sweet and on top of everything making sure I was treated well. The first night I ordered the Vegetable Samosas to start, Chicken Shashlik and Bhindi Bhaji. The food and the service were outstanding. It then became my go to restaurant at least once or twice a week. Firstly I don't think people realize what a wonderful place Greenwich is to stay when they travel London. It is so easy to get to every major attraction you want, yet you can come back and find a lovely neighborhood with so many great restaurants and pubs as well as museums and the Royal Greenwich Observatory which is a must. On one of your relaxing days you can stroll down Trafalgar street and hit all the sites as well and walk along the Thames path to the Cutty Sark and the Uber Thames Clipper. Every mode of transportation is available in Greenwich-the river boats, buses, above ground rail and quick hop to the tube. Mountain View restaurant is the place to try Indian/Nepalese food if you have never eaten it before as well as your love of it. I had the the Lamb Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma and most of all an amazing fish dish Malabar Fish Curry. Always Vegetable Samosas to start and Naan bread with every meal. Everytime I walked in, the owner Rom and Radhika took the best care of me. They knew my wine and it was brought to me every time. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. My last night in town was, of course, Mountain View, and I will be back to Greenwich in September. So will make this my spot of course!

This will be the new place I’ll order from when I want a curry. Food was really nice and fresh. Only one thing I wasn’t too happy with. I ordered cheese Naan and I’m pretty sure I was sent butter naan. It was still very fresh and tasty but it wasn’t what I ordered!!!! All in all I’ll give 9/10 only removing one star because I didn’t get a cheese naan. Will be back.

The food and service at Mountain View is always perfect. Great attention to detail - I added a note asking for some very fussy adjustments (e.g. fresh ginger added to the rice) and the chef did it all.

Menu describes onion bhaji as Tasty Onion Balls Bound together with Lightly Spiced and Fragrant Chickpea flour Batter Actual - they are not balls but look similar to burger patties. Taste OK though.

We had an impromptu visit after a day of watching the rugby at the local pubs. We were found a table and seated quickly. We ordered drinks and poppadoms which arrived in good time and asked if we could order our starters before ordering mains to see how hungry we would be. Cocktails are well priced but arrive room temperature, they need to be given a bit of time for the ice to cool them down but can you really complain for £6.50? Starters were great, very tasty and seemingly fresh. We were asked by different waiters if we were ready to order mains whilst waiting, it may be that the menus on our table indicated still that we hadn’t ordered which is not their fault, and we appreciated the attentiveness. When we ordered our mains, they came in good time too and we enjoyed the slow dining experience by splitting our order to allow us to relax. The mains were super tasty and we left stuffed. We had a little wait on our 2nd round of drinks which we had to chase, and the bill was wrong (the chased drinks were added on the bill twice) but this was quickly rectified and we felt it was good value for money. Service charge wasn’t added which meant we could tip as we felt which is a rarity in London these days. Atmosphere was great and we’d definitely return.

My son & I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this rather small & unpreposing restaurant last week. The welcome was warm & friendly & the service attentive but unobtrusive from the Nepalese Owner & Waiter respectively Above all the food was delicious & we plan to return next time we are in the Greenwich area.

Took almost 2 hours for delivery. Requested partial refund due to delay, they rejected. Food arrived everything freezing cold. Tikka massala is so sweet it tasted like butter chicken.

Food was the usual high standard. Confusion with the delivery - food arrived early and was what was ordered.15 mins, later doorbell goes - delivery. Didn't receive delivery driver so don't know what or who's order that was.Contacted restaurant to advise.

Best Indian food - generous portions and good quality.

We have been on holiday in London for the past week. Our dinner at Mountain View today was the best meal we’ve had. The food is incredible. So is the service. And the prices are much lower than at other restaurants in the area. You simply can’t have a better dining experience in charming Greenwich. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful meal.

Absolutely delicious food and drink a definite yes . 10/10. I went solo and I didn’t reserve. I turned up around 5:30pm Sunday and was greeted and a table immediately given to me. Walk in. I first enjoyed a real tasty mango lassi then ordered my regular meal a chicken biriyani. Not too expensive I think it’s moderate. Nice setting and don’t forget this is covent garden . Nice friendly helpful staff. Everytime I asked for something was given immediately. Good for family even business meals couples and solo. Enjoy . I did . Thanks

Fantastic. The whole experience from the white tablecloths and napkins to the excellent food gives dinners a wonderful experience. The service is very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is a most happy one. During these difficult times this restaurant is a delightful retreat from all of our current concerns.

I went in here again to get the same excellent friendly efficient service as IV had previously and it did not disappoint . The staff loyalty in this restaurant is plane to see the staff have been the same for seven years the chefs are the same team I have known for all of those years and that is testiment to the owners a nicer family you will never meet the welcome is always the same and the standard of food is excellent and consistent which is difficult in the food and drink industry at the minute . The decor is simple and let's the food do the talking . I had the usual podaoms with a fantastic selection of dips which always sets the tone of the meal . This time I went for the first time a mixed grill which came sizzling in the hot plate and a masala (extra spicy) sauce which was done excactly as a like and a garlic naan well done . The staff always give you what you want even if not in the menu if they can . The lead chef what can I say he is always there and the food is to die for this is my favourite restuarante in the whole of London and it's on my doorstep .

Accueil sympa , service correct, repas bon mais tout est facturé (riz, papadoum..). Les naans sont chers, la petite portion de riz aussi. Je n'ai pas retrouvé le goût de l'indien . Cela ne me dit rien de revenir

Amazing customer service. Gorgeous food drink and dessert . A nice place to go if you are near Greenwich or if you want to escape the traffic jammed central London. I found nearby free parking on side streets after 6:30pm. Nice setting and relaxing music . Thanks at Mountain View Restaurant . Also I couldn’t eat all the dinner was filling BUT they put it in a nice food container so I can take it home. I needed room for dessert 🤪

Food was really good but was a bit disappointed on the size of the mix grill. I would specify how many people it's for which is 2 person and definitely not 3-4

We have been going to Mountain View for over 7 years and it never disappoints. We recently moved away but make an effort to travel back as it's still the best curry house in London. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and faultless and well priced. We've also ordered take away as well and no change in quality and thank you all 😍

We got a lovely warm welcome when we walked in and were given a window seat. The restaurant was immaculately clean, from the crockery, table linen to the toilets. And we were extremely impressed with the food - just the right amount portion wise and the food was lovely, flavoursome and hot. The chicken was really good quality and so tender and cooked perfectly. We had to give a tip. Very impressed as we were visiting and we would definitely go back next time we are in London if in the Greenwich area!

Couldn’t fault the meal tbh. Rice and bhuna cooked well, would of preferred less chick pea and more onion in the bhaji but the bhaji was still ok. Nice meal Ty

Really disappointed in the spices. All the curries tasted the same including the almost 10 pound chef special. Im half sri lankan and a chef, so a tough audiencie, but i also rarely leave bad reviews. Wont be returning

As for the food, the menu offers a great variety of dishes to choose from, all of which are expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at the Mountain View restaurant and would not hesitate to return.

Firstly, this was a home delivery service not an eat in experience..could not find the option for that….but Never the less, the quality of the meal should be the same right?.. wrong! The chicken in both curry’s were tough, stringy and full of water rather than a consistent gravy. The prawn purée starter 😒 was absolutely awful! .. prawns were like stone and gravy again full of water, the roti was soggy and completely inedible. On the plus side the popadoms were great!.. my first experience here and definitely my last.

Although tasty, the garlic chilli chicken wasn’t spicy, it was mild. There weren’t any chillis in it (or tomato I don’t think) so unsure if the right curry. Thank you for the complimentary naan.

We had an excellent and good value feast; the carrot pickle, the Malabar fish curry and the lamb Shazani were definite highlights. The restaurant is relaxing with Nepalese music playing and decorations from Nepal as well as beautiful pictures of Mount Everest and Annapurna. Rom,...

The food was very delicious!!! Servings and portions were a plenty! Order arrived earlier and was still piping hot! Definitely ordering again from this restaurant. Kudos as well to the entire staff for going the extra mile in personally delivering the food.
