Revamped lavatories. Clean and functional with things to read, just above eye level, while emptying the bladder. New wash basins are good but miss the rickety central fountain affair.

Clean lots to offer but the premium on motorway services should be banned it's ridiculous the mark up in prices

We always nip when we're on route for a day out. Cause Greggs is open at 6am, which is great for breakfast. Many thanks to the staff working them hours, so others can have a more enjoyable day. Many thanks Josh, at greggs. A star service.

I stop here on a regular basis. It’s a busy place but lots of good food and coffee options and the toilets are clean. It’s odd that you can’t enter Greggs from inside you have to go back out to the parking lot

Always stop here for a Greggs breakfast and coffee. Despite the queue it isn’t a long wait really. Served by Nicole today, friendly and very quick getting everything together. Not that this matters but her hair was amazing. 😀

Average services, nothing special.

We visited to use the toilets and get a bite to eat. Toilets were lovely and clean and Joe who served us in Greggs was super friendly and quick with our order!!

Costa barrista attempted to charge us 65p for more oatmilk when the tiny portion supplied was not enough in a medium sized cup.

Nothing special - all needs a refurb but OK for a coffee stop

We stopped here for a Greggs which was rather underwhelming. My friend Pete (pictured) got a pizza slice but it was cold and not fantastic. My friends Josh and Jack (pictured) were disappointed that they couldn't go in the tower, they thought if they asked nicely they'd be allowed but sadly we were disappointed.

Burger King would only take cash and all the machines in the place charge you to take out cash avoid this service station if you want burger king

Standard motorway services. You can cross the bridge and go to different shops. Was really busy. Only stopped for a wee but forgot

We visited the Lancaster Services (southbound) this morning. Just so clean everywhere. That included the bridge over to the northbound side with the floor having just been washed and ledges with no dust on them. Disabled toilet spotless. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Busy Place but it's good for short brake Coffee toilet, it's some hot food you can buy in station I see Greeks inside And opposite station you can find place to stay overnight 24 /7 hotel Travelodge

Great for a leg stretch and coffee

As with all services, much more deep cleaning is required. Food choices ok, only one staff member working at Costa meaning coffee wasn’t an option so went to Greggs instead. Staff all disinterested in all locations. Same as the rest of the Uk sadly

Toilets upstairs and tucked away, and had to queue for cubicles as so few in gents.

No indoor seating on northbound side, had to eat our Greggs lunch in the car. One of only two disabled toilets was open, and its floor was awash with urine and tap not working. A sign on the second disabled toilet said ‘out of order, use disabled access toilet outside. I trekked outside with my 89 year old mother and this toilet was also locked and out of order. Absolutely appalling standard, will avoid in future.

Awful! Dirty tables and even worse food. Miserable staff

Great place to stop. Remembering my visits as a child I really looked forward to visiting again. Very modern decoration inside, looked a new refurb. Good selection of food a available.

It's always the same... Holiday starts now or we nearly home

A pleasant visit and although much of the place was closed, it was early hours of the morning, that which was open was clean, tidy and the staff member (Rob) was very helpful.

Went to the KFC to take out found plastic in the chicken burger but already eaten most of it, been up all night being sick , won't be going again.

This was a pretty good services, there was loads of parking, and a good selection of food and drink on offer. The toilets were clean too.

As with most UK motorway services, this location needs a major overhaul & upgrade - even the car park is full of pot holes. Moto need to learn from the higher facility & cleanliness standards set by French services

Typical moto services. Well maintained and well staffed. It has a good choice of food and drink with plenty of toilets for you when traveling a long way. An ideal place to take a break which isn't too expensive. I had some Cornish pasties from one of the vendors just outside the main building. Also needed fuel which is a bit expensive but not too bad.

Excellent place of worship, would be good to have fresh area coming in and some green plants to compensate the carbon emissions

Stop here quite a lot during travelling around either on business or with the family on days out It is equipped as you would expect it to be. Toilets, Coffee shops, food stops etc etc. As with most motorway services you dont really head to them you just happen to be passing them when you need them.

Rundown , needs investment. Dirty toilets!

Great range of services place generally tidy but toilets stuck as soon as you walked down the passageway you could smell them but once inside they looked clean just a shame about the smell

The whole place has the depressing feel of a Soviet era service station. We trekked all the way over from south bound to find the (poorly signed) Prêt but no one appeared to serve us so went to Greggs for nice sandwiches. Then back up more staira for a seat. Toilets are OK.

Very busy and as good as ever !

Made a half-hour stop here on a long coach journey up to Scotland. It's a better than average services, easily recognisable from the motorway because of its landmark tower. Plenty of parking, and new EV charge points were being installed. The services are on two floors, with a decent choice of fast food outlets - Pret a Manger, Greggs, Burger King, KFC, Costa Coffee, as well as a W H Smith and an M&S Food for takeaway sandwiches - and a spacious seating area upstairs. Although it was early in the morning and very quiet, all the food outlets and shops were open. Enjoyed a nice latte at Costa Coffee. Toilets were clean, with an attendant on duty when we were here. There's a lift, and a bridge across to the Southbound Services. A good place for a coffee break at the start of our tour!

Building work going on and parking is terrible

Pretty soulless. Signage to the toilets is poor. In the toilets there's no hook for your coat, so it goes on the floor! Toilet paper is wafer thin, so you use three times as much to be sure. I can't understand the economics of that.

It's got clean loos. They have a Greggs, burger king and Costa. Would score higher if they would employ more staff at the Costa. The line is often long and the poor staff member must be shattered as there is often only the one of them trying to do everything. Profit before people!!

Cheap basic accommodation, great staff, cheerful and helpful.

We only used the Multi faith room, A moto worker was friendly and gave us a big smile. Another lady gave us clear directions on how to find the multi faith room. The multi faith room was clean, quiet and lovely functional rom to pray in. Thank you so much for providing this facility. Will definitely recommend to family and friends

Clean, bright and tidy. Quick service.

A series of fast food outlets manages to make this a most unattractive motorway service area. The eating/sitting areas were tired and worn. It appeared to be a popular meeting place with young people whom I think may have been from the local area. They were enjoying themselves and as might be expected full of energy. On the ground floor there is an M&S food shop. I should have chosen sandwiches from there, rather than opting for a burger (upstairs), which was served complete with a hair. I was given a replacement, but by then I had lost my appetite. Next time I think it may be a flask of tea and homemade sandwiches rather than a repeat of a most unacceptable experience.

As motorway services go, it's OK. The building needs some work as it's showing its age now. The HGV parking is not so good with potholes and a general unkempt look. It needs some money spent on it . And a more vigorous maintenance program. Maybe I've been spoilt a little by driving a lot around Europe 🇪🇺 . Compared to services in most European countries, nearly all of which have free truck parking, all of ours are poor.

Upstairs - lift available: Clean toilets Clean, spacious eating area with Burger King, KFC & Costa Coffee. Friendly, efficient staff. Downstairs: M&S simply food, WH Smith, Costa Express, Greggs, & a shower (which was locked) Parking fee applies after 2 hours. Electric vehicle charging spaces in car park. Bus & truck parking Petrol Station Also accommodation of some kind nearby (saw a sign)

Upstairs eating area was dirty and in major need of refurbishing. Most tables / seats were stained and had food debris. Tried 5 different tables before we found a semi clean one

Needed a loo break, bit of a journey to the loo , very clean and tidy.

Very grim. Overcrowded both inside and in the carpark. Understaffed, so much that they couldn't spare anyone to clear the tables. I will pass by in future.

Popped in for a quick coffee, at 12.30 pm, was not offered in or takeaway, given takeaway cups , no table had been cleared for ages , 3 team members behind the counter one sweeping, could’ve been clearing tables? Had to wait a 5 minutes, for our coffees.

Good service point. M&S and all kind of shops. Nice, clean! Only reason for the 3⭐️ is the disabled toilets. As a disabled person it was quite urgent to get access to the toilet. At the door a sign says I have to find a member of staff who can open it for me… I went in 3 different shops when they found a member of staff with the key. It is quite humiliating! Once I gained access to the toilet I realised there was no toilet paper at all… Yea, it should be much easier and maintained more often to make sure filled up with toilet rolls. As I said, it was spotless and clean! 🙌🏻

Hello. Payment Snap. Shower, toilet... Parking is paid by Snap (in the store photo N2), food is 10 pounds if you pay extra 3 pounds...12 parking spaces for trucks and 12 for buses, trucks are parked in the spaces for buses... There are washing machines , you can get water at the corner of a gas station for trucks...

Northbound gents toilets must get the accolade for the most rank smelling toilets on the motorway network.

One of the most intetesting plave for refill vehicle and driver.Regardless,witch side you choose for rest,through the bridge between the two main builsings you can visit all the shops and quick restaurants inside. Toys,cards,maps and clear and nice toilets all around. An astonishing view on the area around,but the ufo-like building is closed since 1989,and no trace for reopen it ever.Its a shame really,but it worth a few pictures from below.

Easy parking when towing a caravan.

This service station has always been a favourite of ours due to its iconic circular tower shape that looms up over the landscape before entering the Lake District. The restaurant was good serving nice food but the condition of the toilets especially was awful. I could see that they employ special needs persons, which I agree with, but they need to be managed in order to keep the place clean and not looking run down as it did on our visit, which was disappointing. Please don't let this iconic service station fall into disrepair.

Not a bad services pretty well priced with great outside space for eating. Plenty of car charging spots if you have an EV. Lacking in spaces for longer cars though.

Toilet is situated on first floor lifts were out of order so had to use the stairs which could be difficult for some people

Outdated! We had to get into a long queue on the motorway exit slip road because of the compact car park where people waiting to take a space were blocking other cars. We then lost interest when we had to climb a load of steps to reach the food outlets/toilets. A member of our party needed the disabled toilets which were out of order so we just left and moved on to the next services.

Burger King- cold and tasteless plant based burger. Bought mineral water with it but it was still water. Mineral water and still water are different. It’s loud and dirty in the services with smelly bathrooms.

Quick stop for an ev to up. Quick and painless. Only gripe the bays are very narrow

Needs updating a bit, and prices reducing especially the fuel.it’s dearer here than in the furthest places like Barrow in Furness and the tankers have to pass the services to get to local petrol stations
