Absolutely manky... Avoid at all costs

Stopped off for a cup of tea on the way down from Edinburgh to Etihad Stadium to see Man City v Bournemouth on 20th May 2025

Good services. Limited free parking. Places to eat. Well presented.

Particularly impressed with the disabled toilet facilities. Very clean and spacious.

A repeat of my M6 Northbound Service Area review. A motorway service area. Delightful, only not so much. More convenient, especially when you require conveniences and a snack you don't necessarily require. On the upside, you can break a tedious journey. Have a rest and breath in the fresh fumes of the motorway, or listen to the blaring bass emanating from a dark glassed car, and hear that someone killed his brother or undertook some other oddly 'civilised' activity.

Great place to shop with a wide variety of goods.

Hanging signage for toilets is a bit weird, indicating that you should continue straight on whichever direction you approach it from.

I arrive at Lancaster Northbound quite often around midnight. Hemant at Costa's is always polite, helpful and friendly. It's so nice on those long journeys back home to be greeted by a smile in the middle of the night!

Oh wow! We used to stop here for a hot chocolate when I was a kid, but now, there is a modern mall inside here! Anything and everything you could ever need! Bathrooms upstairs. Krispy Creme.

There are several stairs to go down to reach the toilets and the so called 'accessible' toilet was locked!

One of those with only one car park entrance so everyone gets backed up behind cars manoeuvring. Toilets are upstairs.

Nice place to stop for a break. Very helpful staff and clean toilets too. Plenty of parking and a great selection of shops to choose from. There are EV charging points here too. Google recommended.

Phone signal in the truckers area is absolutely crap and it’s not just this site, it’s pretty much every Moto. Truckers get shoved to the edge of the services with no Wi-Fi extenders or signal coverage, but they still take our money every night for parking without giving a toss about sorting it out. It’s a joke how they make a fortune off us but can’t be bothered to fix basic stuff like this.

Needs better signage north bound, to show we’re Burger King ect are other than that it was ok.

Fantastic place. Minor suggestions. More serving plates at top table to eliminate calling right down the table for each plate. Coolers on the bottles of white wine. Wedding cake to be positioned in a prominent place rather than being hidden in the far corner. Food was excellent quality. Staff very friendly. Thank you.

It's your usual money house with all the typical names in it - as a HGV driver, I paid £30 to park for the night and the showers were absolutely disgusting. Water did not drain, very small for space, actual rot on the walls and sealant of the shower - sink looks like something you'd bathe a horse in. If you cannot maintain public facilities - don't have them. And if you don't have them, don't charge us for them. This is exaxtly why no one wants to drive lorries anymore, services (especially moto) are expensive to park in and there is absolutely no investment in these establishments what so ever.

Everything you expected apart from the staff seemed a little unhappy but we can’t be happy all the time.

A few weeks ago, my husband was stressing after losing his phone and cards. A man working at the supermarket kindly noticed and suggested he try ringing his phone, then let him call me to cancel his cards. He even offered him a coffee. Thankfully, the phone and cards were later found at his last location. We’ve never left a review before, but very much appreciated.

In and out used toilets very clean.

Lpvely place to visit after a long journey can book a room there they have every thing there from cafe toilets and petrol station

Revamped lavatories. Clean and functional with things to read, just above eye level, while emptying the bladder. New wash basins are good but miss the rickety central fountain affair.

Clean lots to offer but the premium on motorway services should be banned it's ridiculous the mark up in prices

We always nip when we're on route for a day out. Cause Greggs is open at 6am, which is great for breakfast. Many thanks to the staff working them hours, so others can have a more enjoyable day. Many thanks Josh, at greggs. A star service.

I stop here on a regular basis. It’s a busy place but lots of good food and coffee options and the toilets are clean. It’s odd that you can’t enter Greggs from inside you have to go back out to the parking lot

Easy parking, good food and clean toilets.

Always stop here for a Greggs breakfast and coffee. Despite the queue it isn’t a long wait really. Served by Nicole today, friendly and very quick getting everything together. Not that this matters but her hair was amazing. 😀

Costa barrista attempted to charge us 65p for more oatmilk when the tiny portion supplied was not enough in a medium sized cup.

We visited to use the toilets and get a bite to eat. Toilets were lovely and clean and Joe who served us in Greggs was super friendly and quick with our order!!

Usual moto service..facilities have always been clean when parked here on snap..plus option get £10 meal voucher for £3..always had goodnight sleep here

Burger King would only take cash and all the machines in the place charge you to take out cash avoid this service station if you want burger king

We stopped here for a Greggs which was rather underwhelming. My friend Pete (pictured) got a pizza slice but it was cold and not fantastic. My friends Josh and Jack (pictured) were disappointed that they couldn't go in the tower, they thought if they asked nicely they'd be allowed but sadly we were disappointed.

Standard motorway services. You can cross the bridge and go to different shops. Was really busy. Only stopped for a wee but forgot

We visited the Lancaster Services (southbound) this morning. Just so clean everywhere. That included the bridge over to the northbound side with the floor having just been washed and ledges with no dust on them. Disabled toilet spotless. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Busy Place but it's good for short brake Coffee toilet, it's some hot food you can buy in station I see Greeks inside And opposite station you can find place to stay overnight 24 /7 hotel Travelodge

As with all services, much more deep cleaning is required. Food choices ok, only one staff member working at Costa meaning coffee wasn’t an option so went to Greggs instead. Staff all disinterested in all locations. Same as the rest of the Uk sadly

Toilets upstairs and tucked away, and had to queue for cubicles as so few in gents.

No indoor seating on northbound side, had to eat our Greggs lunch in the car. One of only two disabled toilets was open, and its floor was awash with urine and tap not working. A sign on the second disabled toilet said ‘out of order, use disabled access toilet outside. I trekked outside with my 89 year old mother and this toilet was also locked and out of order. Absolutely appalling standard, will avoid in future.

Great place to stop. Remembering my visits as a child I really looked forward to visiting again. Very modern decoration inside, looked a new refurb. Good selection of food a available.

It's always the same... Holiday starts now or we nearly home

A pleasant visit and although much of the place was closed, it was early hours of the morning, that which was open was clean, tidy and the staff member (Rob) was very helpful.

Went to the KFC to take out found plastic in the chicken burger but already eaten most of it, been up all night being sick , won't be going again.

This was a pretty good services, there was loads of parking, and a good selection of food and drink on offer. The toilets were clean too.

As with most UK motorway services, this location needs a major overhaul & upgrade - even the car park is full of pot holes. Moto need to learn from the higher facility & cleanliness standards set by French services

Typical moto services. Well maintained and well staffed. It has a good choice of food and drink with plenty of toilets for you when traveling a long way. An ideal place to take a break which isn't too expensive. I had some Cornish pasties from one of the vendors just outside the main building. Also needed fuel which is a bit expensive but not too bad.

Excellent place of worship, would be good to have fresh area coming in and some green plants to compensate the carbon emissions
