Dirty Men and Women toilets absolutely STINK !! 🤢

We thought the entrance from the northbound m5 confusing. The car park was also confusing especially finding the location of disabled parking bays. The building as extremely noisy and uninviting. The exit back on to the M5 was extremely conjectrd and took 20 minutes before we could exit even though there was no congestion on the motorway. Altogether a thoroughly unpleasant experience and we shall try to avoid visiting in the future.

Nice enough services, hard to get to if going north bound, toilets clean. Burger king Chinese KFC and Greg's. It's nice enough for a quick stop

Average motorway service station, captive audience prices, relatively clean, good selection of food outlets, friendly helpful staff.

Very VERY busy. Always seem to be long queues just to get into car park!

Very busy but got served quickly by Greggs, although had to wait for vegan sausage rolls to come out of oven. Second time we went there just had a coffee and tea from Costa. Alot less busy as schools were back after the summer holidays.

You have to traverse a maze to get to the toilets. The toilet was dirty, it wobbled and the toilet paper was low quality. Then it wouldn't flush. And the bins on the car park were all overflowing. Absolute crap all round

Busy services, only stopped to use the toilets on way home from Landsend to South Wales.

The services are really dirty and run down. There isn't enough seating and it's really small

Dirty disgusting service, toilets always covered with bags or blocked, glass doors at entrance heavily soiled with dirty finger prints. Dining areas dirty, bins overflowing, torn seating. Place needs new management as they must be blind to the state of this place.

Went to Greggs at Exeter services for lunch. One girl serving to start with despite a very long queue. She looked really miserable and was extremely slow like she couldn't be bothered to be there. A young lad then came out and joined her but rather than jump on the other till appeared to just mill around not doing an awful lot! He also looked miserable and like he couldn't be bothered to be there. They gave us a tea but when we got to the table there was no milk in it and so I queued for a very long time again to ask for milk. I get told milk and sugar is at the back which I couldn't see due to the very long queue. I told her she could have told us that at the start. I also asked if they had something to eat my pasta with. They both just looked at me like I was an alien but then passed me a wooden fork. I told them the service was atrocious and walked off. People were actually putting things back and walking away so they're losing a lot of business! I will not be using them again at Exeter services!

I only used the toilets, but I will never return because the 'lady' who used the cubicle before me failed to flush or use toilet paper to remove her excrement. I was told 'that is their culture'. That has put me right off using this service station, albeit could have been any services in the UK. Unfortunately, it was this one.

Busy but it can handle it. Lane control on the roundabouts from the motorway is unclear and changes, everyone is swapping lanes all over the place.

Great facility, just expensive food & drinks

These services are a nightmare to get into and park at as it is very busy with traffic from the M5 as it's the last one before Plymouth on the A38 and the A30, the service inside are very busy in the summer due to everyone visiting Devon and Cornwall

The toilets are actually situated through pret manger on the left as you go in, but the signs tell you to walk right round the whole place to get to them! Don't do it.

The place is clean and extremely busy. All regular food halls available, it's a shame Costa now have touch screen ordering as well as usual method. . . Just confusion, still Pret is available 🤫

Trusted and safe spot when travelling late at night and needing a high power charge!

Too busy; cars parked in disabled bays with no badge so had nowhere to park close. The place was cluttered with people just waiting in the walkways and outside the toilets creating a long queue. Left and headed for Cullompton services instead. Nightmare.

Ideal stop for a break when you're driving for a while,clean toilets and food area, petrol very pricey,better to Google superstore.

Lots of EV charging stations and a small amount of green space to sit / walk around. Plenty of food options and toilets.

Just a good pit-stop on a big trip

It's not my kind of place.i only went there to use the public toilets

Place is way to small for amount people passing through.half.queus for loos half the men's urinals out of order.trucker shower to small wet all time nowhere suitable to hang or change dry clothes.food and drink outlets well overpriced.can buy cheaper in home bargains for 3rd of price.place needs a major rethink and overhaul

The traffic to get into these services is more vile than I've ever experienced. The drivers are belligerent & pigheaded. The directions are strict without needing to be causing huge tailbacks. To be fair to the services, it is August & they have provided high vis vest people to assist with vacant spaces. However, they did not help me.

If your wanting something that is suitable for a diet don't stop here. Nothing diet to eat except a packet of grilled chicken £4 for 109g!! Ended up with an apple.

Stopped off at 3am to break up a long journey. It was quite busy with teenagers, as I think they were returning from a festival. Toilets were a disgusting war zone and stank. Alot of the outlets were closed and shelves half empty. Car park was very noisy that day. Not a moan as use services alot, but in future this will be a pass 👎

Always our first stop off for a Costa when we go away

The services were fine, lots of EV chargers if you need them and a decent selection of shops. The downside.... they were the busiest services I've ever been to. It took ages to get off the motorway, it was difficult to park and the shops were busy. I would definitely go to a different services in the future.

Easy to park, good services, 5 stars are reserved for places like Gloucester but this does the job, not a ton of space but a good variety of shops.

The entrance and exit signs are really confusing, the toilet is filthy, and the kid's ride next to the toilet didn't work after I put in £1. There was no sign saying it was broken.

Cleanliness of the gents toilets are disgusting, found a member of the cleaning team eventually, all she did was flush, they need cleaning not flushing.

Very busy services with major shops and restaurants designed in a circle around the public seating areas.

Ok as service stations go... the mens toilets smell of urine. Awful. Bring back water to clean!

If you're just getting fuel, make sure if you need the toilet, go to the service's, as the garage does not have TOILETS.

Toilets at 7am absolute disgrace looked like a grenade had gone off in the cubicle, probably somebody who never quite made it to the toilet after the 20 mile walk through the services past every shop to get there tbf

Had forgotten how expensive shops are in the main building complex, do recommend the donut and coffee man whose outside tho.

Wr got here very early so no one was open .. fuel is very very exspensive n over priced.

A decent service area always busy, good range of eateries. Decent dog walking area, shame that a number of dog walkers don't clear up their dogs mess.

I would like to thank the lady of the M&S shop within the Exeter Service Station who came to our rescue on the 22/07/2024 and the maintenance personnel who extricated my wife from the ladies toilet cubicle. I am sorry but I did not register names at that time as my mind was on my wife and how to get her home etc. Yes it sounds funny now but not so funny when it happened as she collapsed and was unable to stand as not well and we were unable to open the door fully. Everyone was really helpful and thoughtful including some wonderful Spanish ladies who signalled up to me the problem - a very big thank you to you - and no doubt we will be back at some time again. I am pleased to say we made it back to Bath and she is ok and recovering. Chris and Catherine

Worst toilets I've seen for a long time, looks like they've not been cleaned for weeks!

Plenty of choice but a bit pricey

Absolutely disgusting. Toilets are vile and the smell.... Windows are filthy, car park had rubbish all over it. We couldn't stop to eat as we were both really put off of eating there.

Needed a comfort break... Although there was a wait for the ladies, it ran like clock work..... staff constantly cleaning. Well done to all the staff, it was a pleasure to visit.

Pretty disgusted tbh. After negotiating a difficult roundabout to get to it I really wish I hadn't bothered. Toilets had more than a dozen women queuing out of the door, I crossed my legs and gave up. A shocking £19.00 for 2 coffees, a micro flapjack and a small repacked chick wrap. 40 mins wait for 2 coffees, with four young females clustered around one Still when there was an identical one standing idle at the other end of the service kitchen. Where's the common sense or management dealing with the build up of waiting customers. Not one of the customers looked impressed. Unbelievably bad, couldn't wait to leave. Worst service area I've ever visited. Owner you're replying to these poor reviews, so why aren't you actioning improvements. Listen to your customers.

It’s just about ok, can get insanely congested. Very overpriced. However if you have a dog and want to grab a coffee and let them wee than this is the right place

AVOID if you can, stay on road till the next services. Stopped here on way home from Falmouth, as it was about 2 hours from leaving, but the whole place is disgusting and run down. The hygiene standards are low and from what I could see the cleaning 'ladies' are doing as little as possible. Very, very disappointing services and absolutely filthy 😒

Good location, you can pay for Snap in the machine at the entrance and by card at the checkout. There are many different stores within walking distance (Tesco, Ikea, Sportdirect, etc.) and a gym, the parking lot fills up quickly, after 18:00 on a weekday you may not find a place, on weekends there are usually a lot of places. Showers at the end of the toilets, access and exit from the parking lot is tricky, price £30 with food, pay at the checkout. The night 🌙 passed without problems. Who found the review useful, put it in bold 👍

Just go straight to Greggs. Good coffee and snacks at a reasonable price.

Secret shortcut to toilets through costa. Not terrible to get in and out and toilets are lean enough. Beware lorries causing a backup waiting for fuel.

This place is Big very Big but very clean with great food.

Nice journey stopping place. A variety of good good places. But as per usual very highly priced. Not good for families with hungry children.

Busy but nice place for a break

Not a bad place to just get something to eat. Staff didn't seem to want to be there and not very polite. You ask a question and get ignored or they walk past you blanking you completely. For the best service I would go to the pasty van outside they actually want to speak to you and help

Ahh, my favourite service station. Perhaps I'm biased because it signals the halfway point between Cornwall and Bristol so holds a special place in my heart...or perhaps it's the fact you can't flush the toilet without putting the lid down which eliminates gross public toilet spray WHILE saving water. Yippie. I can use the restroom without walking into a wall of suspended peepeepoopoo particles. Want those bad boys in my home.

Needs a complete overhaul..concrete jungle from one of those "70s developers" who thought using concrete for everything was the future. Dire/depressing place

24 car chargers - yay! Plenty of eating choices. Half a mile trek to the toilets and it seemed not enough cubicles available - then realised there were more further on but no indication they were there. Ladies were queueing unnecessarily.

Everything you would expect from a motorway service station. Plenty of EV chargers, good range of shops & amenities.

Clean and tidy. Has everything you need for a quick stop off.

We were able to park in the lorry park with our caravan. The toilets were clean. There is a selection of places to eat. Prices are high but it is what it is in a service station.

Pretty mediocre service's. Seats were heavily stained with torn seat pads. Usual suspects on tap Costa, Burger King, Greggs etc.,

Would never stop there again ! The staff at Burger King were quite nice, but the whole area was littered and dirty, not just Burger King. The chips were cold! Which I did take back, and they were replaced. Whoever is responsible for the food hygiene needs to retrain the staff on the whole site! When serving any hot food, it should be over 72° not luke warm. Also, the toilets went far from clean and had run out of habdwash. Sorry, rant over.

tbh it actually is quite functional; most things shut early, but what is left is drinkable/eatable, and there are enough loos so that at least some will be working. If they make the place look a little more welcoming, I'll add another star next time!

Really poor service from the woman in WHSMITH tonight, don't know where you find staff like this, but you need to do better.

To far from the m5, need to walk the full length of the place to get to the toilets. Frankly, one of the worst service stations I've visited.

Stopped here a few times. Always a parking space, and good range of services.

Just a quick stop for the toilets all I can say is that I was disgusted with what I saw. The none of the toilets had been flushed and when I tried to flush them they were not working tried to find someone to tell them about the problem but no luck 😕 not impressed

Handy stop off however the price of fuel is a total rip off. Taking advantage....cheaper to go into Exeter and save yerself 15p a litre😱😟🤣
