Food was delicious. We opted for the special and it was super big, so needed a doggy bag lol. Donna welcomed us, she was so helpful and attentive. Would definitely visit again. M&R

Called in for tea on our way home for our first visit. The refurbishment is most impressive and the background music in the restaurant was spot on. A warm welcome from Donna and her attention to detail in terms of service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and the advice she gave helped us choose from the extensive menu. Really really good fish and chips in Baildon. The fish are so fresh, and the batter recipe light, crispy and tasty. We ate in as a large party of family and friends. Donna was such a wonderful host. Attentive, professional and kind. She was looking after the restaurant by herself too! Such an angel. Thank you again and we’ll be back

An 18th birthday tea for Emerson my godson. The fish and chips were sooooo good and Donna our waitress then brought Em chocolate cake and ice cream. She was kind enough to put up a birthday banner and gave us party hats. Nothing was too much trouble for her and made sure we had a fab time. Thank you Donna 😊 We will be back.

Visited for the first time with the family. Digital order system is very handy. I had the spicy fish, chips and spicy curry sauce. Absolutely awesome. Really lovely friendly staff too. Clean and modern inside. Can’t wait to return.

Very poor, second visit in two weeks at baildon outlet. Soggy and undercooked fish. Shame to see such a large investment going downhill. Many people I have spoken to in the village are of the same opinion.

The restaurant section is too expensive. The takeaway/eat-in section is better but seating is restricted to just two tables.

Having worked at Websters and having being a customer or Trawl Bar, Websters and now Mother Hubbard’s- I have to say, I’m blown away. The menu is huge, prices are fair, decor is modern and brilliantly done, they’ve opened up the shop to have a seating area, the waitress service was fast and exemplary. Most of all, the food is delicious. Freshly made, hot and gorgeous. Took my daughter today for a cheeky fish and they threw in some chips. Class. Great portions. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Just visiting Baildon as a potential place for a house move & popped in for food & drink. Best fish & chips I’ve ever had! The whole experience was just fabulous especially so because of the superb attitude & welcoming from Donna. Nothing was too much trouble, from tailoring the dishes to meet our needs including offering Wi-Fi passwords! Thank you Donna

We called in on Friday 6th September at our great nieces request for a fish and chip lunch. We were greeted by Donna and her attention to detail and service was second to none. Our lunch was so relaxing with calming background music and Donna surprised us with a free ice cream for our great niece. Great takeaway, chips crispy and fresh, fish the same. Didn't know but there is a big selection of ice creams available to order too. Definitely recommend and value for money.

Chips are kept on top of fryers in boxes rather than in the fryer. I had a cake which had minced fish in the middle rather than a slice of fish. Absolutely awful would not recommend

First time here, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Very warm welcome from Donna who looked after us brilliantly. The service, food, and price were excellent. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. But I will tell you to try the spicy fish and firy fish mmmmm

Almost perfect, but with fish and chips, you need heinz tomato sauce. I was told it was, but it didn't taste like it and that let it down. Fish and chips were to die for.

Recently visited this restaurant with my family, I was served by Donna and Caroline both was super attentive and looked after us and payed attention to detail.They made my dad’s birthday memorable.The food was also delicious.

Visited today for lunch.got fish and chip with a teacake and some chips for a friend. To be honest it's was horrible. The fish was like wet lettecc. Won't be coming to get robbed again. Its a shame such a big tradition name with now terrible fish and chips.

The food is good quality,it's a bit pricey but with regards to location with the moors a few steps away justified(also can imagine business rates are a lot) nice to see such an extensive menu also very clean with some nice framed photos of the region from the past eras.

I came to the new chippy in Baildon to dine last week. The waitress was very nice, chatty and very accommodating. The fish tasted great, however, I noticed that the batter was made from vegetable oil which made the fish a tad greasy, brown and slightly hard with the batter. I do think Mother Hubbard's should consider cooking the fish in beef dripping as that is the traditional way that makes the batter a nice golden brown with a nice crunchy to it! Overall the service was good.

Gosh has this place gone down hill since it was called the Trawl Bar I don’t know what happened but this used to be my local chippy till I moved away a few years ago It was always packed and for good reason They were the best fish and chips at a good price I called in as I was near the area not expecting the name change and the place looked great But it was dead and the food at best was average Service was ok but I won’t go out of my way again to eat there

We walked in a few minutes before it was due to be open and greeted by Donna. Donna was so warm with her greeting and offered to seat us to face the carnival precession that was due to go through. She assisted us with ordering as we were with someone who has limited capacity. The food came in great time and was absolutely delicious. Donna was a tentative throughout the meal and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again

Donna our server was the most genuine nice waitress. She added a real Yorkshire feel to this restaurant and would recommend here for locals and tourists.

Amazing spot. Never been before but was happily surprised by the varied menu and reasonable prices. Would rather come here for food over Maccys, KFC etc.

I had the Fiery Fish and Chips, which turned out to be a very nice curried fish. The chips were light and tasty. Our server was charming and really helped make the whole experience a delight. She was particularly helpful with my elderly father in law.

We payed a visit today for the first time and we will definitely be going again. The Fish and Chips were excellent and our server Donna was excellent and gets 10 out of 10 for her customer service.

We are regular customers & cannot fault the food, service & atmosphere. Carolyn & Donna go out of their way to make every visit a memorable one. Their patience & sense of humour is SO appreciated, Management, make a note of this!!!

Only had take away,, but found the fish was slightly overdone as it was quite dry and hard,, but won't put me off from trying again.

The fish wrap was very nice but the young girl on till needs to change her attitude just got the cba attitude. Personally she shouldn't be on the tills maybe in the back somewhere

Went in today to eat in with the two nieces. DONNA WAS GREAT. From start to finished she was good with the girls and service was spot on. Portion sizes were massive, but it was all good.

Ample portions, sat in to eat. Had some sorbet to finish off.

I just want to say that the staff are a breath of fresh air, smiling, polite and very caring. I went in today with my wife and 2 boys and purchased 2 fish and chips meals and decided to eat in, the meal was hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. Best of all the older female staff member sorry didnt catch her name but she gave my 2 boys free ice creams, defo made their day better than it already was, thank you so much ❤️

Awful after taste tasted like they had been fried in dirty oil , most were thrown away , your giving the mother Hubbards brand a bad name and I know several people who won't be buying from baildon mother Hubbards again , take a leaf out of Riddlesdens shop on quality fish and chips and stop cutting costs , your customers are noticing.

Had a lovely meal for mum's 91st birthday. Fantastic service by Donna who looked after us all. She went above and beyond. Will definitely go again all 9 of us enjoy it.

Greasy and yet the fish was dry, and small portions. Really not good. I hate to write bad reviews. But this wasn't good. Curry sauce too.. lacking. I was here 4 years ago. It was much better.. tried it 3 times since I've been back.

Wish I could give a 0 star for service. We visit this branch very frequently and have done so from the 2nd week they were open. We called to see if we could book a table which the reply wad yes so we did so for 7:30pm. To then get a call back and be told no we close at 9 so cannot give you a table for fish and chips at 7:30pm. We advised we will be fasting and will be eating and leaving however Carolyn made a point to state she knows they are Asian owned yet would still not take the booking is absurd. What does the ethnicity with your owners have to do with us not getting a table? Absolutely disgusting behaviour and we will not be returning

This mother Hubbard's is exceptionally good due to great service provided by the two lady waitresses. The seniors menu is fantastic. The menu choice is great. Overall a really good place to take family for a nice dinner.

Very nice fish and chips,followed by a delicious dessert. Presentation of food and our very pleasant and attentive waitress, made it a meal to remember and we certainly will visit again.

Came in with my parents to have a standard fish and chips experience but it was so much better than I expected. We were served by one of the sweetest people on this earth called Donna who brought a smile to my face. She was so helpful and was always trying to make sure that we were okay with the food (the food was outstanding!) and was always smiling. The food was brilliant and was so flavoursome and the standard fish and chips meal was taken to a whole different level. But even though the food was 10/10, the main thing was was that Donna made our dine in experience brilliant and she made up happy. They also served gluten free fish and chips which was brilliant for me as I cannot eat anything that contains gluten. It was fabulous!!!

We brought our son to Baildon Mother Hubbard's for the experience of Gluten Free fish and chips. Well it did not disappoint. My son was over the moon. From the atmosphere to the music was all fabulous. Donna was amazing, her smile is infectious,we truly need more people like Donna in the world. Thank you Donna

Having lived in the south for 20 years, i could not wait to taste proper fish n chips again. Mother Hubbards did not dissapoint: Very crispy batter, excellent mushy peas, extra thick tasty gravy all served with a lovely smile. Perfect!

We were craving fish and chips and we’ve heard so many good things about Mother Hubbard’s and it did not disappoint! Donna and Carolyn were very accommodating and so so friendly. Absolutely delicious food and will definitely be returning!

Our first visit at this branch and it was a fantastic experience. We were so well looked after by Donna who we felt was professional, courteous and served us with a wonderful smile! My wife and I will definitely be back again. Also, discovered this branch does Gluten free fish as well which is great news for us as a family having a son with Coeliac disease.

The special is not as big as the one on Leeds road if you want a large special just use there Leeds road shop

Visited tonight as was in area. We only ordered chips. When serving the staff member serving was ordered by fryer to serve the scraps left before serving the new chips. We got one really rubbish portion of chips. Felt embarrassed for serving staff and fryer was rude.

Just ordered a takeaway. Absolutely delicious. Would recommend.

The food was delicious, and the restaurant was warm and cosy. However, the best part of my visit was the warm welcome and the top notch service given by the lovely waitress. I didn’t catch her name unfortunately, however she was working on Friday afternoon on the 16th of February. Such a lovely lady. Good customer service makes all the difference.
