Super café with lovely staff, excellent quality coffee & hot chocolate, cakes, pastries etc plus more substantial snacks for lunch. Also a shop with quality, innovative gifts including things for children. Marvellous selection of greetings cards. Excellent stop for cyclists too and the 125 bus stops a few metres away.

Landed here by accident while cycling. Greeted with a very warm welcome and had to select from a cracking range of cakes. Coffee was just brilliant. Lovely place with some nice seating areas and selling all sorts or Nick Nacks. It’s a long way from home but I’ll be going back. Thanks for making me feel so welcome

Cycling through Wrington we stopped off for coffee and ice cream,it really was a wonderful visit we sat outside in the sun the coffee and ice cream was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going back again.

We had just dropped our cat at the nearby Langford veterinary school, and drove through en route back to the M5. Coffee (from Wogan Coffee in Bristol) is really delicious, and lunch of a toastie and a (very generous) portion of butternut squash soup were really good, served really quickly by very friendly staff. Very nice place to stop!

Lovely little venue, had a sandwich and sausage roll, which were great. Disappointed with the size of the coffee cups for the cost of the drinks and horrified to be charged extra for milk (that wasn’t even delivered) for an Americano. For the latter reasons won’t go there again.

Very good service and coffee, nice stop if you have time on the way to the airport for a breakfast with character rather than a chain restaurant

Visited with my kids over half term, Mother Hen is a favourite. They love the milkshakes with all the toppings and the brownie was amazing!! Staff really friendly too. Personally I love my once a week coffee and cake catch up with friends after a walk. Very grateful for such a lovely cafe in walking distance.

Fabulous cosy place with delightful home made cakes and refreshing tea. A warm and friendly welcoming owner who was very kind also and it was just what we needed. A wonderful little village location there also. Recommend popping by if you visit this charming village.

We chanced on this place while passing through and looking for a coffee place. What a little gem. Run by lovely local people, clearly much used by villagers and with a friendly, informal atmosphere that equally extended to strangers like us. The coffee was really top class and toasties and salad were tasty with some original twists. And the impulse buy linen trousers are a great success too - we look forward to returning ASAP! Thoroughly recommend popping in if you are in the vicinity

Stopped into Mother Hen for a quick coffee, but was highly impressed at their range of gifts and cards too. Sophie was very friendly and her coffee was superb - a real village hub which Wrington is lucky to have!

Went here with my wife plus one Collie. A brilliant atmosphere as we sat out in the spring sunshine beneath the canopy. Food and drink was wonderful and the service was great. Sophie is an excellent host and gives time to talk to the customers. Would recommend this if you are passing by. It is only open part time so check your timings before you visit to avoid disappointment.

Sophie’s cafe is an amazing and vibrant place with amazing cakes, snacks and coffee! Not only that but there is always a variety of gluten free cakes each week! Sophie is friendly and welcoming and always does all she can to be helpful and accommodating. Amazing place, would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Good place to meet up with friends and to come across people you haven’t seen for a while. Lovely coffee and cakes, lunches have always been fresh and very good. Plenty of cards, chocolate, gifts, toys and clothing to choose from. This is a real treasure.

The most amazing little cafe with gorgeous cakes and yummy drinks and ice creams. My little ones and I love popping in for a take away. All of the staff are amazingly hospitable- I would highly rate this little gem.

Always a friendly welcome at Mother Hen and a fine selection of cakes and savouries. Although Macchiato isn’t listed as an option it is available and friendly staff are happy to accommodate.

Consistently good coffee (and cake, snacks etc) friendly staff and environment indoors and sitting out. Welcome for families, cyclists, well behaved dogs..and chance to pick up a greeting card or gift. What's not to like?!
