I've stayed at this hotel a few times now, and it continues to impress me. From the moment you arrive, it looks amazing — stylish, well-maintained, and with a welcoming atmosphere. The real standout, though, is the staff. They are some of the best I’ve encountered anywhere — friendly, helpful, and genuinely keen to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are always spotless and very comfortable. Some can be on the smaller side, but the beds are so comfy that it more than makes up for it. Every room we've had has offered a great view, which is a lovely bonus. The only issue we've run into was one stay where the shower made a loud whistling noise when in use — not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning. The bar is a great spot to relax in the evening, with a lovely atmosphere and stylish decor. Service at the bar can be a little slow at times, but the quality of the space makes up for the wait. Overall, this hotel is a firm favourite of ours, and we’ll definitely be returning.

A perfect place to stay for the night, I booked in here for a single night for a gig at the O2, had a lovely double room with plenty of space and a gorgeous bathroom, the shower in the room was absolutely lovely, the bed was very comfortable. Check in was a breeze and it's a fairly reasonably priced place to stay. Location wise it's perfect. The bar is also very nice, pints are served in fancy glasses and the cocktails I ended the night with are absolutely gorgeous, especially the passionfruit martini which was a new experience for me. Worth every penny, don't hesitate booking here for the night.

Room like a shoe box, despite stating it was a Queen room on the booking. I expected a more spacious room for such a title. The cups in room were disposable - no glasses in room at all. Drinking my prosecco from a plastic cup didn't have a great feel about it. Not even a complimentary bottle of water in room. Feel that's a little tight these days. Someone ordered a bottle of water at the bar and it cost them £6. I was speechless. No phone in room and no iron/ironing board. Two people on the room and only one chair. No decent desk for my husband to work on. It was just a little too claustrophobic and amenity barren for me, personally. Disappointed that we booked this hotel after seeing many advertisements stating the breakfasts at motel one are organic. Nothing was organic. Not even the coffee. So also let down over that, too. We could have stayed at Fraser suites which we often do, for nearly 40 cheaper a night, but we thought we'd try something different and although it was okay, we wouldn't choose here again. On the plus side, the design of the room is good, it was warm and quiet, which is surprising from a central hotel, and they had dairy free cheese, oat milk and yoghurt for breakfast.

The cons- 1. Room is fine, although it's tiny. There are studio apartments in New York which might have more floor space. 2. What isn't disclosed on booking or any reviews is a nearby club which plays music until 1-2 am on Saturday evenings. From the 10th floor you can still hear the base and hear it rattling the windows. If you are wanting a quiet place on a Saturday, this is not for you. Let's just say the TV on volume 19 watching 'Inglorious Bastards' is no match for the noise... 3. This is a churn and burn operation, they could care less about your comfort. You can tell it is really only popular based on the central location The good- 1. Staff are friendly and doing what they can for what is a churn and burn operation. In closing I will never stay here again and wouldn't suggest it to my worst enemy. Staying on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh in a 200+ year old building for 7 days (during Halloween) was a hell of a lot quieter than this.

This Motel One used to be my favorite hotel in Glasgow but this will be my last time staying with them. Unfortunately, management has decided to turn the ability to cool your room off and it is unbearably hot; even now at the end of October. I was given a fan by the front desk and told management turned the cooling system off. The window doesn't open wide enough to help much and it's too hot to sleep. It's not the employees fault so I gave 5 stars for service but I wouldn't recommend you stay here. The last time I stayed here I could regulate the room temperature. I'll be moving to a different hotel tomorrow.

I had a wicked time staying at Motel One Glasgow for two nights. This place is right smack in the middle of the city, so it's super easy to get around and check out all the cool stuff Glasgow has to offer. The hotel itself is really stylish, with a modern vibe that's totally chill. The rooms might be a bit small, but they're super cozy and have everything you need. The beds are super comfy, and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. Glasgow is a rad city with a ton of history and culture. You can check out the Glasgow Cathedral, wander around the Merchant City, or hit up the West End for some trendy shops and restaurants. I loved visiting Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum – it's got an awesome collection of art and artifacts. For a night out, Sauchiehall Street is the place to be. There are loads of bars, clubs, and live music venues to choose from. Whether you're into pubs or fancy cocktails, you'll find something you like. All in all, my stay at Motel One Glasgow was awesome. It's a great spot to stay if you're visiting Glasgow and want to be close to everything. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cool and comfortable place to stay.

Decided to spend 3 nights away as relaxing time away from the hectic life. Got to the hotel to find the tv only has 2 working channels that you can watch. BBC one reporting Scotland and E4. Reported this to the staff and apparently this is common knowledge. Spending over £400 for a better room for better relaxation to find out we could in fact not relax at night and wind down with a drink due to no tv which was unfixable. This was a very long stay and weather wasn’t great either so going out for a wonder wasn’t really an option. Pub crawl it was. The large double bed was also in fact just 2 single beds pushed together. Not ideal. So our chilled relaxing few days away turned out not to be so relaxing

An interesting hotel for under £100 per night for an excellent room slap bang in the middle of Glasgow. It’s no 5 star hotel, it’s not got a restaurant apart from a breakfast area but it has got a popular bar and lounge that occupies most of the ground floor and is frequented by diverse Glasgow society people. The rooms are clean and air conditioned but amenities are few. A kettle, tea and coffee and soap and shampoo are provided, as it plentiful towelling but no robes or slippers or other such niceties. Adequate wardrobe capacity and a room safe are also provided as is free and fast WiFi. My Samsung TV only showed 2 channels. Size wise, rooms are good, if not large, and the carpeting is starting to show minor signs of wear. However, in this day and age of ballooning hotel prices, this is a little gem.

Definitely do not recommend this place. First of all, the service was fine and the staff were friendly enough. None of my complaints are against them. But the dining experience is absolutely unsatisfactory. All of the grill meats were over-tenderised with what I assume is some kind of artificial tenderiser, to the point that the texture is almost slimy and spongy. The pork belly in particular was almost unrecognisable as pork. The meats and other ingredients for the hot pot were slightly better, except one of the sliced meats was very chewy. The worst part about the food was the "buffet", which had items like sweet and sour chicken, black bean chicken, fried rice, etc., except everything was room temperature cold and stale. It would be better not to offer any of it, to be honest. The dessert and fruit section had a rather small selection, which I understand because this is a smaller independent restaurant. Overall, for the price of £33, the meal was extremely disappointing and we left after just one round of orders without finishing everything. There are far better hot pot places in Glasgow that are much better value for money.
