Mostro Coffee in Oxford

Stopped here for a coffee, sat outside the front in the sunshine. It is also a vinyl record shop. Lovely coffee, friendly staff.

and excellent service. Apparently coffee is Nicaraguan and beans roasted in Cornwall. An arty unusual cafe with quirky surrounds. Vinyl shop adjacent.

Andato solo per un caffe` e un pezzo di torta: entrambi erano una disgrazia. I ragazzi che fanno il caffe` e che lavorano in un presunto caffe`, devono imparare a fare il caffe`.

I'm always releuctant to write a negative review. However when the 3 people I was at the Mostro shop with yesterday evening, felt the same, I write the following with no reservations. The service was very rude, sullen, unfriendly and totally indifferent. Any polite query , was met with a surely, bored response...particularly from the bearded gentlemen. The coffee to be fair was decent and resonably priced, However neither me or my friends will be returning. Terrible, Terrible attitude and service.

unfortunately this appears to be a hidden Gem, as not many people seem to realize you can get coffee here. This is the best coffee shop in town, and they have the friendliest Baristas, they have this unbelievable power of being able to remember your drinks very quickly, and remembering little quirks to each order. The staff also have a special talent not serve with an awkward silent whilst waiting for your coffee, they will engage you in conversation if you want, and if they are too busy, the customers carry the same chilled out vibe. This place is perfect for a quick catch up/ meeting or even a Sunday chill out. Could not recommend it enough

I called in for a coffee early one morning. It's obviously a popular place for the locals, most young people. The coffee was tasty and the service was friendly. I used the toilet and it was clean.

My son and I were visiting Oxford for a week, staying near Cowley Road. In search of a great latte in the afternoon, we discovered Monstro Coffee. DELISH espresso drinks and wonderful staff. Highly recommend if you are nearby!

Mostro is about one third of the Truck Store on the Cowley Road. There are just a few tables. A couple of these are on the stage that is used by the bands that sometimes play here. If no one is playing, then you can sit there and have a great viewing platform for people watching on the Cowley Road. This is a music store, so you get to look at the very eclectic selection of music before or after your coffee. As this place is quiet small, it's better for meeting people than for studying or working, as there is some pressure on space. Oh, and the coffee is good. They have oat milk if you are dairy intolerant and they usually have gluten free cakes. Nice place to hang out.
