The service was incredibly slow, 2.5 hours to be exact, don’t go here for lunches. The server was quite demanding, telling folk to eat more and how to eat. Recommended dishes is fine but it was overkill and controlling. The food itself was okay, the lamb samosa were nice. However the vegan dishes were practically inedible. The pancake tasted like vinegar and the lentils could only be eaten with the kale or else both were inedible. The venue is nice and clean, which was evident by the man mopping the floors with bleach while folk ate. Not sure that’s really appropriate. It could be it wasn’t for my palette I can’t recommend.

Went here with a friend for lunch. Got a mixed platter. Two meat dishes, lamb zigni and chicken spree, and a few vegetarian dishes, Misir, Alicia. This is all served in bowls on top of injera(A homemade flat spongy bread) that you dump the contents of the bowl on and eat with your hands. The flavours here are delicious and fresh. Everything was tasty and enjoyable, and also something a bit diffrent too. The stand outs were the lamb zigni, which is so rich and morish you could sit and eat that until they threw you out. The Misir was also incredibly flavourful, especially for a vegetarian dish, as sometimes little effort is made preparing them, this is not the case here and you can appreciate they put as much love into both menus. We finished off with the coffee, which is both made and served in thier own unique way and was a great way to end the meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, making great recommendations to have with our meal. Cant wait to go back.

A great place for a group to eat out; I have been twice now and loved it! Delicious food, great flavours and not too spicy (some not spicy at all). The staff are friendly hosts and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. We were a group of nine, half vegetarians. We got starters, beer, a large shared platter with three mains added with it - all shared between five and it was plenty. The meat eaters did the same - more than enough food. We ended with delicious roasted-on-site traditional coffee and spiced tea. We spent a relaxed 3-4 hours, pleasant atmosphere and not too noisy so you could enjoy conversation and we were placed under no hurry to leave. Such a treasure to find for a different chilled night out - easy option for a large group. Ask for help if you’re not sure on ordering, and it was reasonable price too. I’ll be back for the delicious vegan/veggie food and to try the honey mead next time!

This was my first of Ethiopian food. I had the vegan platter. It was great. It included a lentil dish, a chickpea dish, a carrot and potato dish ana a kale dish and was served with injera ,(flatbread). I enjoyed all the different dishes (and I'm not vegan)! The spices were delicate and not overpowering The service was good and the place was well decorated. The meal was very reasonably priced and filling

I visited Mesob on an unassuming Thursday afternoon, arriving just as they opened. The staff immediately seated, greeted, and served me with exceptional care. While Ethiopian dining typically caters to groups, making it challenging to order for one person, the staff provided excellent recommendations. I tried their vegan platter and meat sambusas, and both dishes were outstanding! This was hands down my favorite meal in Glasgow.

This was my first time trying East African food, it couldn’t have been better! I was a bit unsure what vegan / vegetarian options would be available, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the amazing range of dishes available. The servers were fantastic – incredibly patient, happy to explain the dishes and how best to enjoy them. I highly recommend trying the platters (vegan platter pictured) for a little taste of everything – such a great way to explore the menu and determine your favourites for your next visit! I also recommend trying the homemade mead, it was delicious and very unique! The pricing is very reasonable considering the excellent quality and service, the atmosphere and decor are so warm and inviting – this place truly is a hidden gem. I would definitely recommend!

Food: Flavours are nothing new, very close to any Indian, Chinese and other Mediterranean cuisines you may have tried up to this point. Maybe it was the food we ordered though, I will try something different in the future! The concept of eating using only hands, not even the spoon provided was interesting, will ignore it in the future though as it was too messy. Service: Service was great, but they forgot a couple of stuff like napkins or the tea and was pretty obvious the server responsible for our table didn't want to be there. Atmosphere: Employees were friendly, the place was darker than expected from a restaurant, possibly because it functions as a bar too, but at 4-5pm with the main function of restaurant a bit of light would be appreciated!

Hidden Gem so close to the Glasgow Central station. The staff were so genuine and welcoming. Daniel especially was amazing, he suggested we try the "Mitmita" -powdered seasoning mix with bird's eye chilli peppers.. ooof!! Adding it to all the dishes made it 1000 times better. Fair warning, mitmita is not for the faint hearted who can't take spice. The aroma of roasted fresh green coffee beans, brought to you was rather special!! 😌 The Ethiopian Honey wine Tej was awesome too!! Definitely, recommend this place!!!

Food was great, it arrived quickly and everything we ordered was delicious. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is that we were put under a lot of pressure by waiting staff to pay by cash, even after we’d checked that card was ok. I understand that cash might be their preference, but it doesn’t feel appropriate to hassle customers this way. We really enjoyed the meal otherwise though.

A must-visit in Glasgow! Such an incredible restaurant! The interior is gorgeous, the staff are extremely friendly with a clear, burning passion for Mosob and, on top of all that, the food is delicious! We tried: • Meat sambusas • Chicken tibsi (mild) • Lamb alicha • Lentil ades (mild) All main dishes came with 1 injera included in the menu price. Our server was corteous enough to advise us of this which helped us to avoid over-ordering. Every dish arrived to the table piping hot and bursting with flavour! We genuinely could not fault one dish and I would absolutely return to re-order this exact set. Our server also kindly took the time to explain how to enjoy our dishes and the cultural significance behind the method too which made the dining experience all the more special! I will undoubtedly be recommending Mosob to anyone & everyone and will most certainly return to dine here again! 🌟

Been craving for Ethiopian cuisine for some time now. Found this place & jumped at the opportunity to eat doro wat & injera. Positives: +Vegan options🥳. +Welcoming atmosphere (decor, lovely background music, staff, and fellow diners). +Staff were presentable and had great people skills. They also told us the proper way of eating the vegan platter - great advice which improved the dining experience 👍. +Presentable restaurant. +Lovely food, we both enjoyed the vegan platter; it was very filling and we liked all the options (the Shiro was our favourite). +Speciality wine went down well (they also offer specialty beer and coffee). +Generous quantities - great value. -Latest update; had to downgrade the service star rating, it was very slow today at lunchtime. +Update: on my second visit I did not experience any of the negatives I experienced first time (i.e. the service was quick and efficient, and still friendly. And the gluten-free injera was ready👍) Also the ceremony coffee was great; smooth and powerful.+ Overall, a nice experience; I do recommend visiting and will be back. Tips for fellow diners: 1) Call the day before, or earlier same day, to remind them of your gluten-free needs to save a very long wait (if they have forgotten; insist on rice instead). 2) "Serves 3-4 people" really does mean what it says in this restaurant, recommend ordering smaller if there are only 2 of you as you will definitely be full afterwards; you will get your money's worth, it is indeed great value, especially in these times.

I come here often with my partner, and every time we are consistently impressed with the quality of the bountiful vegan options on offer. Particular favourites are the platter, the fit-fit and the potato stew!! It took us a long time to come across this place, a real hidden gem which has made me question how East African cuisine is not more popular. We do find that the waiters are very forward regarding the preferred method for eating with injera (tipping all food out of bowls onto the bread) when we explain we don't like to do this. Personally, we prefer not to as we find it makes sharing far more difficult and compromises the structural integrity of the injera. Instead, we scoop with the injera while the dishes remain in the bowls. It may not be the most authentic method and mean no disrespect, but we find it is easier and more enjoyable for us personally. Other than this small point, we cannot speak more positively of Mosob. The staff, including the head chef, are always very attentive and friendly, stopping by often to check on our experience.

The whole place makes you feel as if you left Glasgow and you are in Africa. The platter is a great option for you to try different dishes. I loved the spicy lamb dish! If you are in the area and would like to experience something different and tasty this is your jam!

We ordered a 3 tier pre iced sponges with decorations, the cakes arrived to us in Clacton, they were packed brilliantly we knew exactly what day it was arriving, looked amazing, we added some of our own decoration ideas on as well on the day, this was for our wedding cake looked just as we wished at a fraction of cost compared to prices of local bakers/cake makers. The cake was amazing, had so many people comment on it. The communication from them was helpful throughout. Thank you so much to team at Cloud Nine xxx
