The best restaurant in Glasgow without a doubt. Lots of tasty and healthy food. If you have problems with the spiciness, let us know and the waiters will fix it right away. Very friendly staff. Quite an experience! Recommend ordering the large plate to share.

Been craving for Ethiopian cuisine for some time now. Found this place & jumped at the opportunity to eat doro wat & injera. Delicious food but probably not for the average person who doesn't eat spicy food frequently. Southeast Asians will be able to handle the spice well. Service is friendly & genuine. Sensing that I may be unfamiliar with the cuisine, the wait staff taught me how to enjoy the dish in an optimal way, with hands.

Incredible food, the best coffee I have ever had, tremendous value for money, and the friendliest, most informative and helpful server, in a quiet and ambient setting in the centre of the city. Just wonderful in every possible way.

My favourite restaurant in Glasgow! The food is 10/10 and the staff are the friendliest, helpful and engaging staff I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. Honestly this place is the best of the best!

They also told us the proper way of eating the vegan platter - great advice which improved the dining experience 👍. +Presentable restaurant. +Lovely food, we both enjoyed the vegan platter; it was very filling and we liked all the options (the Shiro was our favourite). +Speciality wine went down well (they also offer specialty beer and coffee). +Generous quantities - great value. -Latest update; had to downgrade the service star rating, it was very slow today at lunchtime. +Update: on my second visit I did not experience any of the negatives I experienced first time (i.e. the service was quick and efficient, and still friendly. And the gluten-free injera was ready👍) Also the ceremony coffee was great; smooth and powerful.+ Overall, a nice experience; I do recommend visiting and will be back. Tips for fellow diners: 1) Call the day before, or earlier same day, to remind them of your gluten-free needs to save a very long wait (if they have forgotten; insist on rice instead). 2) "Serves 3-4 people" really does mean what it says in this restaurant, recommend ordering smaller if there are only 2 of you as you will definitely be full afterwards; you will get your money's worth, it is indeed great value, especially in these times.

Tasty food. The lamb stew in the mixed platter for 2 was exceptional, although a bit spicy. I do enjoy the spice, but if you don't, you may wanna avoid that.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere - the server taught us how to eat the sharing platter the Ethiopian way which was very fun and authentic. Server was lovely and really enjoyed our meal.

Stunning food! They have great options for vegans. Glasgow is better with Mosob in it. The restaurant is so cosy as well. You wouldn’t think that from looking at it from the outside but the interior upstairs is gorgeous. I highly recommend this place.

Great meal and amazing hospitality

Definitely my new favourite restaurant. So many vegan options but recommend the vegan platter and the sambusa. Food arrived really quickly. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and explained the best way to eat the food. There was a nice atmosphere with ambient music and lighting. It was such a fun and different experience to what I'm used to and actually can't wait to come back!!

Quite simply a delight. That was my first but not last Ethiopian/Eritrean meal. Lovely flavour combinations served by lovely people. What more could you want? The coffee to finish was pretty special too.

Honestly this might have been the best Ethiopian food I’ve had so far!!! My wife liked it, but she said she’s staying loyal to our go-to place in San Francisco.

The vegan platter here did not disappoint. So delicious and lets you experience a variety of stews. Would 100% recommend it. The best stew was ades. Food is served in an aesthetic manner jn nice baskets also. Would definitely eat here again. The vegan sambousek filling was also delicious but the deep fried pastry is very rich, and if you do not like the flavour of deep fried pastry would not get that

Authentic and delicious Ethiopian food served by a caring staff is what you will find here. The spices and meats are as authentic as if you were in Ethiopia enjoying a meal in someone’s home. Prices are fair and service is speedy.

I've seen all the Ethiopian andEritrean places in Glasgow but this place is the best so far, great reception, welcoming service and Great food. As a suggestion on the meal that i had today the quanta firfir wasn't that nice, i think the problem was the injera rather than that keep up the good work and i will come again soon.

The meat quality was low. The lamb had bones and the beef had a lot of hard to eat cartilage. The flavors were ok but not amazing as others had said. The fermented pancake was extremely sour. I wouldn’t recommend.

Would have been a 5 if portion size was little bit bigger in line with price tag. Nevertheless, worth to visit thanks to the concept.

Very tasty 'hands-on' food! Coffee afterwards is also recommended! Tip: Ask whether the dish in question is spicy. If in doubt, use something mild or add cream cheese.

Delicious. Very friendly and happy to help in choosing the food. Also great they are happy to make milder versions (which I need). I had never had this food before and it’s one of the nicest things I’ve eaten in ages. I like the atmosphere because it is spacious, relaxed and I like African music. The traditional tea goes well with the food.

Mosob was a fantastic experience! The vegan platter was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The traditional coffee ceremony was a lovely touch, adding to the authentic atmosphere. Mosob is a must-visit!

I had the small, mild, vegan platter and spiced tea. Daniel the waiter was charming. He showed me the proper way to eat the food. It was all utterly delicious. Just the right amount for me to feel full without being uncomfortably stuffed. It was a quiet time, and I was served in a relaxed and efficient manner. Great vegan selection, clearly marked on the menu. I will definitely come here again when I need to eat in Glasgow. So convenient for Queen Street station too. Thank you to Daniel and the Mosob team for a very positive visit 🙏🏼💕

Probably our favourite restaurant in Glasgow. Food is always so fresh and full of flavour. Staff are wonderful too. Fantastic 'naturally' vegan options too, especially the vegan platter.

I come here often with my partner, and every time we are consistently impressed with the quality of the bountiful vegan options on offer. Particular favourites are the platter, the fit-fit and the potato stew!! It took us a long time to come across this place, a real hidden gem which has made me question how East African cuisine is not more popular. We do find that the waiters are very forward regarding the preferred method for eating with injera (tipping all food out of bowls onto the bread) when we explain we don't like to do this. Personally, we prefer not to as we find it makes sharing far more difficult and compromises the structural integrity of the injera. Instead, we scoop with the injera while the dishes remain in the bowls. It may not be the most authentic method and mean no disrespect, but we find it is easier and more enjoyable for us personally. Other than this small point, we cannot speak more positively of Mosob. The staff, including the head chef, are always very attentive and friendly, stopping by often to check on our experience.

Good food experience with vegan options and kind personal.

Went twice in the span of 72 hours because it was THAT good!! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. Super vegan friendly options that are rich in flavor. The Ethiopian coffee is a whole experience where they give you incense and some popcorn to snack on, super cool. Overall please come to this if you want to try Ethiopian food because it’s a great place to start!

Delicious food and delightful people. This is the best Ethiopian/Etreaan food I've had. Fresh, tasty, honest and plentiful. Great atmosphere as well, a vast hall that transported us out of a rainy afternoon and into East Africa. 😃 Highly recommended. A sharing platter for two is a lot of food.

Excellent food and incredibly nice staff. My daughter's food was very spicy - too spicy for her. Without being asked, they brought her a new dish, this time a little milder and with additional cream cheese. Absolute tip for Glasgow!

We like Ethiopian food, came here as the rating was good and were glad that we made that decision. It's not easy to find good Ethiopian food like this in Europe.

The restaurant is characteristic and spacious, the staff very kind and warm, both the waiters and the cook served us with a special welcome, succulent dishes of traditional Eritrean cuisine prepared on the spot: highly recommended and, moreover, also economical for the quality of the food and the service. Finally, a nice surprise was the lovely chat with the cook about the secret ingredient of the sambusa sauce (which I guessed but can't reveal...!) and the greeting to Daniel, a lovely waiter! We couldn't say goodbye to Glasgow in a better place than Mosob!

Superb meal at Mosob tonight. Plenty of delicious choices on the menu. I eat plant-based and my daughter doesn't - there were great selections for both of us. Staff are helpful, friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. Meals are cooked with fresh ingredients. Restaurant is much bigger than you think and very spacious inside.

Delicious and interesting, with helpful and friendly staff. My first time eating Ethiopian food, the server was patient and explained things to our group. Eating by hand, drinking mead, smelling the incense from across the room, it was a fabulous experience.

Amazing place to eat , I tried Ethiopian food for the first time and was quite literally blown away by how good it tasted. I got the Vegan platter and Mead , so if you are looking for vegetarian/vegan options , a must try. Bonus the servers are super sweet.

My second visit to Mosob, this time only to pick up injera (!), but again impressed by the warmth of the staff. I'd recommend anyone in Glasgow to give the boring, tried and tested a miss, come here and taste fantastic cuisine, and a culinary experience that's unsurpassed in Scotland.

Great food, big quantity, would recommend

I had the vegan platter which was nice but my friend's lamb was very dry and chewy. We both had tummy aches after. The service was fairly slow; had to wait 30 min for a pot of tea.

BEST VEGAN FOOD IN TOWN, I always take here all my friends and family that come visiting me in Glasgow. The vegan Injera Platter has the most simple yet delicious vegan food you could ask for! You get to try Ethiopian cuisine which is different from your classic dining experience. When you taste their food, it’ll feel like a home made meal (simple, heartwarming, delicious) I hope this place will never close and it’s probably the main thing I will be missing when I will move out of Glasgow. Prices are also really affordable. Thank you for offering such a wonderful place in Glasgow and thanks for the vegan options, I wish you had more vegan food in the menu!

This family run restaurant is my favourite place to eat in Glasgow. Absolutely delicious food, excellent service (thank you Danny & Milly for a great evening!) and a really friendly, cosy atmosphere. Just everything is great and I can't recommend it enough!

A family had a baby 1 table over from us. The baby was getting fussy while the parents were trying to eat. Our waitress scooped up the baby, put it in its stroller, and is now rocking it to sleep so the parents can eat. Food is incredible. Get some mead to wash it down!

Good food, but weird about accepting cards (sent my dinner partner on a 10 min walk to ATMs for cash until they admitted to accepting cards). Food took an hour to get here, which wasn't great but food was good.

To many, Mosob will be the first chance they will have to experience Eritrean dishes. I myself never had the opportunity to eat something like this. The whole place makes you feel as if you left Glasgow and you are in Africa. The platter is a great option for you to try different dishes. I loved the spicy lamb dish! If you are in the area and would like to experience something different and tasty this is your jam!

This restaurant is literally so amazing. Staff is so nice and interactive and the food where do I start its genuinely one of the best habesha food I've ever had. Thus place IA gorgeous very clean and the atmosphere is amazing. I love the background music too it adds to the culture of this place. I so recommend coming here and I recommend trying the Doro wot and ades!!

🇪🇹🇪🇷 tasty fusion cuisine in a convenient central location 😋 Pictured is the sharing platter , which is a decent amount- just the right amount for two people. We ordered an extra injera, which is best described as a slightly stretchy slightly sour pancake -- it tastes better than the description implies! The Eritrean beer was decent too. Lastly on location: Mosob is up near the corner of Dundas St and Bath St / Cathedral St, which is very handy if you're traveling via Queen Street Station :)

Great find. Waitress (Milly maybe?) was fab. Recommended things as we had no clue where to start. Food was very flavoursome. Lamb chunks were a little fatty for me, some people love this, but it didn't take away from the taste. Would recommend and return. Maybe give tables more napkins and wipes would be great!

My wife and I had dinner here wanting to try something different (and I had heard of Eritrean food in a novel and was curious about it). We were seated quickly and felt very welcome. The restaurant is comfortable and has nice artwork. Music and noise were at a good level. I didn't get our server's name but he was fantastic. He advised us on the menu and how to eat the food, recommended great drinks, and was very friendly. My wife got the small vegan platter and I had the chicken tibsi, and we shared an order of sambusas. There was plenty of food and we were both very full at the end! Overall excellent experience. We will go out of our way to go here again if we are ever in Glasgow again!

We had the platter between the 3 of us, and the waitress was very helpful when we informed we don't eat lamb and trade it for chicken instead! The atmosphere was nice as well, located strategically and convenient in the heart of city centre. Food was absolutely delicious, portion was grest! Service was impeccable, and will visit more often to take friends and family.

Really satisfying meal, we tried the Vegan platter with additional Dorowat every thing tasted like the ingredients were super fresh, the Injeras soft and fluffy like they should be. Moreish Lentil Sambusas with a yummy sauce on the side, Good honey wine too. Highly recommend this place.

This was amazing, the food was amazing, the ambience and incense was fantastic and it was my birthday so they went down to the Sainsbury's next to there, got a cake and a candle and brought it to me with birthday music and everything without telling me, 1000/10

Mosob offers plenty of vegan and non-vegan options. The atmosphere is wonderful: soft lighting, without overcrowding; interesting music, but not overbearing; and lovely staff who seem truly passionate about their work. The staff member who served me saw that I'd not eaten my full meal (the portion sizes are quite large) and, to my surprise, offered to pack up my leftovers so I could take them home, for free. I am unsure if this is standard practice, but it was certainly a welcome surprise and I recommend patrons ask to take leftovers home if that's something they're interested in. Highly recommended.

If you are a healthy vegan, then I suggest you taste the beautiful vegan platter. This is an incredibly tasty dish offering all the vegan dishes on the menu in small pots. I suggest the small portion if for one person. Very generous portions. Yummy

This is where I take my non Ethiopian Friends when I want to introduce them to Ethiopian food. The place is cozy,very relaxed and well decorated if you want to get a hint of our culture. Drinks and food reasonably priced. Taste is also original with a bit of reservation. I love all the foods in the menu. I recommend the vegan platter for vegans and anyone who wants to be introduced to the flavors in Ethiopian cuisine. My personal favorite is a mix of Shiro( Chickpea stew) with lamb Tibsi( fried lamb served on a clay pot). My friends Enjoy the Tej as well. That’s the traditional drink along with some local Ethiopian beer. Traditional coffee ceremony is something you don’t want to miss. It will be served to your table with some popcorn, incense and kolo. It’s a must visit place in Glasgow if you want to experience flavor burst in a good way.

Another great restaurant for Glasgow. Been fortunate to have been to a few Ethiopian & Eritrean places in different parts of the world and this place is definitely as good as any.

In a word.....exceptional! Food was incredible and reasonably priced, drinks were also quite cheap compared to other restaurants. Even if you're not vegan I would recommend the vegan platter, it was delicious and huge portions! Staff were lovely and loved talking about the traditional food!

Mosob was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was comfortable and aesthetic, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff, especially Mewi and Daniel, were incredibly generous and kind, going out of their way to help me recover a bag I had lost. If you are in Glasgow, you must eat at Mosob, and I’m sure you’ll only want to go back again.
