my wings were pink on the inside, i ate some without noticing and now ive got food poisoning, i wouldnt have wrote this review if it wasnt so bad. the guy also said that the chicken is naturally pink and thats the marination, tell me why im unwell now and have food poisoning.

Amazing customer service and delicious food! We visit this Peri Peri shop almost twice a week, or at least once a week, and it's all thanks to Unain’s outstanding service. He always serves customers in such an amazing way, making every visit a great experience. Well done to the team, especially Unain!

I don't go here anymore because the food isn't great. It's on the wrong side of town and the menu isn't to my liking. The shop is tired and I don't even like the name. Like what's mosaic supposed to be?

Since moving to the area 2 years ago this has been out staple takeaway. The food has recently climbed up in price and the standards of cooking are inconsistent and have dropped dramatically. My last order was a simple bucket of chicken for myself and my children, which for a change we were happy was not dry - very juicy infact. The next day I developed a terrible stomache ache and became quite ill, it is now 4 days later and still experiencing constant stomache pain. It is such a shame I will not risk ordering from Mosaics again after this and will have to find a new staple takeaway for us. The problem is the chicken - sometimes seems like it has been either reheated, left on the heat too long, over cooked, under cooked or simply attempted to be cooked too quickly.

Such a shame really because mosaics used to be my favourite food place on Wokingham road. I always go for a breast burger meal , medium heat . And a side of Peri chips. Not too complicated though they always seem to mess it up … they used to get it right every time and the quality of the food was great! Though in the past year or two the quality has really gone down hill. The buns are now hard and stale crumbling in my hands, chicken is no longer succulent and juicy and much more dry. I wonder why this is ?? Maybe they changed the recipe . Everytime I order peri chips they just give me regular . All they have to do is put peri salt on normal chips lol. Not hard .. i used to always get the garlic and herb dip and they’d give me such a generous ammount. Now I request it when I order and they don’t put it in so I ask for it and they either don’t have it or suddenly I have to pay. Such a shame really I gassed this place up and now it’s really gone down hill. Willing to forgive and forget if they resorted the old quality. No sauces put in bag so always quite dry 😢

I pop in here last night with my son, who recommended the place. I just ordered two burgers. They were absolutely amazing the BEST chicken burger I have ever had! We had to wait, but it was cooked fresh. I don't eat much but I could have had another one it was that good. Told my husband about it and we will definitely have a takeout from them at the weekend!

Everytime I go here there is something messed up with the order. They have got my order messed up numerous times. One time I got a complete different burger and it was inedible that’s how bad it was. Peri peri chicken is the only thing that they make decent consistently everything else I’ve tried it’s just luck whether it will be edible or not.

I used to go this place late night when nothing was open and it was definitively a better option than other places. Recently, the last five times I’ve been here, I have realised that the food is consistently getting worse and worse. Yesterday ordered my go to ‘breast burger meal hot’ and it was absolutely horrible. The bun was as hard as rock, literally crumbling through my hands, the chicken was soo unbelievably dry and the chips were stale. I don’t think I will ever eat here again. Too much of a risk getting sick. *maybe I keep getting unlucky each time I go but I always seem to be told that “we don’t have this” or “we don’t have that”. Need to get your act together honestly!

The pizza was undercooked and doughy, which made it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, the wings and strips were overcooked and extremely hard. The overall quality of the food was far below my expectations, and I left feeling very unhappy with my meal.

I went today to order a desi pizza. the guy in the front wearing the cap didnt even know how to take my order I had to explain to him multiple times what I wanted, I ordered a desi pizza with chips and they took half an hour to make. There were no other customers or orders coming through and this really irritated me. Will definitely not be coming back and definitely do not recommend.

I decided to give a second chance after having a bad first experience incase it was a one off but it was a repeat so will never willingly set foot in there again. I ordered and as usual they served me last. They even forgot my order and asked me what I ordered after serving everyone else, even the ones who came way after me. The chips were overcooked, like eating oily cardboard.

Absolutely devastated after my experience at the shop. I ordered a kebab and was waiting for 25 minutes to be told that my order was cancelled and I need to make another one. It was around midnight,with no other customers. Clearly staff could tell me about the issue as they watched me sitting and waiting. Despite that, I had to place another order and later I checked that they charged me twice. Avoid this place!

This place was good when it was under PFC- now these Mosiac guys have made the place into a circus.. no customer service, everyone is busy having a laugh at the back of shop, not even eye contact to say thanks for being a customer. I ordered a Donner kebab with chips,l and they had warmed the dinner meat up in a frying pan!! This left the meat over cooked and burnt. Please avoid this place for your own safety and others around you. It should not be serving food SM's should be reported to environmental health.

Ordered on demand chicken charga off menu item. Chicken charga was made specially for us by the business owner, Omer a very humble man. He knows his food and authentic pakistani taste. I must say the chicken charga was the best I have had. It’s pure authentic pakistani spices roast chicken. Way different from peri peri chicken and had to have something different to tickle my taste buds. Will order again and requested the owner to bring chicken charga on the menu.

This place used to be pretty good. Recently they have up there food prices on meals individual items and meals. Fair enough I understand food cost on the up and if quality stayed the same, but unfortunately after being a long term customer for about 3 years mainly for deliverys the food has dropped in quality. Chips being over cooked chicken not as nice as it used to be dry and few times orders drinks and items have been missing. Shame this place used to be are go to now looking for another regular takeaway.

This place is the worst in Reading by miles. I visited the place with my friend last night which was Friday night. It was empty. They served us both burnt doner Kabab couldn’t eat it and the amount kabab was less as well as tasteless. Never recommend anyone to even step in that shop.

On my next visit to Mosaics, I want to try their Lamb kofta as the owner spoke highly of it. **Tried their latest edition Chicken Charga. Absolutely smashing. I must say it is best chicken charga in the UK**

Don’t order on foodhub they deny order arriving even though money taken

I thought the service was good. And they were busy at the time. However after eating the food and becoming ill. Just has really put me off going there. I had raw chips as they must have been mixed up with the other ones and some were nearly frozen still. Also i order a chicken breast burger which was pink in the middle. And forced me not to eat all my meal i had paid for. Overall thought the experience of the small chicken shop vibes were excellent and staff treated customers with respect but food that makes me ill. Na has totally put me off. I wonder if this has happend to anyone else.

Got some hot wings and chips, which were nicely presented in the box, but the chicken itself wasn't very good. It was greasy and felt like it could have done with a little more cooking (it wasn't raw, but the coating could have done with a few more minutes). Service was good, no issues. Overall, you're going to a place for good food, and I won't be returning there anytime soon.

Came as it was closing, they gave me extra wings and free chips and drinks. Staff were extremely friendly and the food was great.

Resturant is very very dirty floor so dirty

My 2 boys visited for lunch on the 25th of August. One ordered tikka combo meal and the other ordered lamb kofta burger meal. They both came home with a stomach ache and started vomiting and both got food poisoning for 3-4 days. When I called them, they just said that their food was ok and they took it lightly but I think they need to recheck their food temperature and dates. Very bad experience, I will bento be sending them there again.

Ordered a wrap(singular) saw people come in time and time again getting their orders before me (multiple orders), and they ordered after me, waited ahead missed my train, and had enough time in any average takeway to make it. And zero apologie depsite getting the look of 'we know this took a few weeks to get you'.

Boss man always makes the most peng chicken. When you ask for a hot peri peri then they really do deliver. I like the triple X volcano noodles with the chicken on the front (you either know what I mean or you don't) so I like things hot and there chicken still gets me 👌

It used to be my favourite chicken shop in Reading. Walked in today and ordered some chicken strips and masala fish. Taste of the chicken strips were terrible, cooked in old oil and barely warm. Told the issue to lady on the counter, she wasn't interested.

Ah ! Goodness what to say .All the items listed on their menu are super delicious and you dine in or do takeaways they have both options at the same time .We always dine in . Marvelous taste and fantastic customer services love to go every other weekend . Although it's a fast food tuck but whatever they have got it's just delicious and fairly priced .

Not the best chicken shop but it’s cheap. We also got frozen drinks with our meals which is a bit odd. Tables and the floors are messy everytime but it’s not like they don’t have the time to clean it when they just stand there talking to each other the whole time. Service is slow as well. However the wings and chips are decent.

It’s not as bad as some reviewers suggest, but it’s really hit or miss depending on what you order. I ordered a piece of chicken, 4 strips and 4 wings. The strips were great. Probably the best you can get from them. On the other hand, the piece and wings were disappointing. The wings were rather bland, I don’t know how as the batter used is the same as the strips. The piece was drenched in oil. The paper bag was properly soaked and I realised only once it left an oil stain on my table at home. Some people are more sensitive to oil (me included) and might feel sick due to the amount they’re using. So I would definitely suggest them to go easier with oil and let the pieces drench for some time. Aside from this, staff is friendly and prices are perfect, especially if you’re a student. I didn’t have to wait much (although I would’ve preferred to wait more instead of getting a oil drenched piece of chicken). I feel like 3 stars would be right, but I’m giving 4 as the strips were really good and they could solve most of their issues pretty easily.

Really surprised me about this hidden gem. The fried chicken quality can beaten KFC on the floor so easy peasy. I can say this is one of the best fried chicken recipes in town. Absolutely recommended 👍

I find this shop very intimidating as a black male my self. I asked for a chicken burger wich I payed for and asked for it not to be toasted. How ever when my meal came the bun was burnt so I politely asked for a new burger and one of the staff started yelling at me shouting saying it isn’t burnt it was toasted. I calmly replied and said that’s not what I asked for and she grabbed the burger by her bare hands and put it in my face saying it’s not burnt. Her boss came over and spoke to her privately and she came up to me and said I’ll go put a new bun on. I said thank you and as she walked away she said to her colleague “these black boys always coming in here causing trouble.” I don’t expect to be treated like that. I don’t recommend you go to this shop as this specific lady is rude and clearly got a attitude problem.

Bad customer service burnt my food because too busy talking to colleagues. Food is overpriced and i will guarantee it to you that the food you will be sold will be from yesterday and the veg in the food will be far older than that, rancid taste food was chucked away update: Never ever coming here again, food was incredibly poor, and the standard has just continued to drop under its new management, i have been served old and moldy tasting and smell salad inside my wrap, the chicken is so undercooked it barely meets the definition of cooked let alone fried. The place is now just a money grab, but they deliver 0 quality all the meals are thrown together with old food to maximize their profitability at the risk of the customers health. This place is a blatant health violation that seriously needs to be reviewed, could not and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Enjoyed the shawarma wrap here & the prices are reasonable. Inside is a clean, well maintained place and the service is a bit faster than most. Mixed wrap & fried chicken were good too. Good for families, especially it is close to Palmer Park.

Had some chicken with a friend of mine after coming back to uni. Chicken was old, oddly coloured, very greasy and tasted off. Resulted in two cases of bad food poisoning. Definitely avoid at all costs.

Decided to have a meal at home they totally messed up the order every thing we ordered was incomplete and some missing. Will never order from them again. Messed up on masala fish meal and never sent half chicken

I m happy to see that Mosaic's improved the taste of food and customers service. Last time I had wasn't nice but after 2 months had today which was impressed me . I recommend you to visit this place. It's very good atmosphere and taste is much much better . Thanks Mosaic's.

Want to suffer from food poisoning?Then come here. The only decent part of my order was the peri peri chips, but overall the rest really made my day miserable.

I've gone to Mosaics regularly this past year, as a university student with a busy schedule I sought after cheap and convenient food. They probably know me as the ten wings meal guy, I honestly went there once a week at least. The chips were freshly fried usually, and the wings would be packed with flavour. For about £5.50, 10 wings, chips and a drink with garlic and chilli sauce was a steal. The wings would be crispy, packed with flavour and the chips were crisp. It wasn't the highest quality food you can get, however for the price and convenience it was great. The staff are friendly too, I formed relationships with a couple and it was great seeing them regularly.

Got a mixed shawarma and it was very bland with no sauce wouldn't recommend it

Bought food from here today the chicken and chips and it was from yesterday they had a horrible old taste and smelt and I am fuming. Why would you sell old food in a food joint. Why has environmental health not closed the down yet?

Firstly shame on you guys for not earning a halal income as you are selling old food to regular customers the quality is extremely poor no wonder people have stopped buying from you. Absolutely awful customer service. We order from here and didn’t receive an item. Rung them up to try and solve this and an extremely rude man on the end of the phone saying that he didn’t have our order number and that we didn’t order from there. I repeatedly told him the details of our order in a calm manner whilst he was raising his voice at us. We then said “your scamming us” and he replied “yes.” He said they don’t do deliveries after we had just gotten an delivery from them and told us he’s going to do nothing about it. He hung up on me mid conversation so I called back and he was shouting down the phone at me. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

The first time I ordered from here the desi chicken pizza was really nice, it had a tasty tomato sauce. I dont know what they've done to the recipe since?! This time it tasted like they dropped it in the toilet mop bucket, then sprinkled cinnamon all over it. Really disappointed and hope I dont get sick.
