I’m not usually quite so directive. I was hopeful that the change of hands from the Kings Head might have revived it. I like a short menu...concentrate on what you’re good at n all that, but this was ridiculously limited. You can have one type of burger, steak, fish, chicken or very limited range of pizzas. Not fancying anything on the standard menu, i chose to have a ‘choose your own’ pizza. They got it wrong first time around and by the time I got what I actually ordered the other two had finished their mains & mine was just about ok. Not be back. It was pretty much empty on a Saturday night on the Lisburn Road. Says it all.

We went here with family for dinner on a Saturday evening. When we first walked in to the restaurant I was very impressed by the interior design, it was modern and attractive with an Italian theme. The staff were very friendly and attentive to the two children (aged 6 and 2) providing them with kids menus and colouring to keep them busy. One of the kids has a lot of allergies and the restaurant was more than accommodating in finding a dish suitable for her, which she loved! The restaurant is surprisingly large and could fit big parties of people. The menu is authentic Italian and I choose a make your own pizza, which was delicious. The overall price was extremely reasonable! We were surprised the the bill was not far higher. My one complaint is the noise from the downstairs bar. As it was a Saturday night, the bar was busy so the noise coming up through the open stairway up in to the restaurant was at times unbearable due to screaming and yelling. I would think the best solution for this is to close the area off with glass windows and possibly a door? For this reason, I would say the restaurant on a Saturday night is not overly suitable for older couples or those that are hearing impaired. Overall, I would go back.

Menu isn’t a great range and was on the pricey side for what you got, kids meals are good although the toddler meal was £3 and kids meal £7 the difference we found was 1 sausage and a small bowl of gravy that kids wouldn’t eat.. staff were friendly but when we went the place was empty.. wouldn’t be in a rush back

We ate here as a family of 9 on a quiet Sunday evening. We had to wait to be seated despite being on time and with the restaurant half empty. It was hard to get the attention of the waiting staff even when seated. When we ordered our food it didn’t arrive despite the two tables either side of us who arrived after us getting their starters AND main courses. We had only ordered main courses. We were tempted to get up and leave but had waited so long that we just stayed. No one bothered to explain the delay and waiters totally ignored our table for over 40 minutes so we flagged one of them down to ask why we were still waiting. Apparently it was because my sister (and her 2 kids) had asked for plain roast chicken rather than the chicken dish from the menu. They should have explained that this would take forever. Or they should have said they couldn’t make it. We were seated ONE HOUR when our food eventually started to arrive in dribs and drabs. It certainly wasn’t worth the wait. My burger was burnt and dry, perhaps as I’d asked for it to be well cooked. I ate it regardless. Due to the long wait they said that our second round of drinks was on the house but not all of us had a second drink should the second round was only one glass of wine and 3 or 4 soft drinks. My niece couldn’t eat most of her pizza (despite being extremely hungry) as it was awful. The topping slid right off it. To be fair it did look disgusting and I was glad I hadn’t ordered pizza once I saw it. The waiter didn’t ask how our food was or why she left most of the pizza. They were on no rush to bring the dessert menu or the bill. Most of us just wanted to leave but 4 of our party ordered dessert. A second niece ordered a salted caramel chocolate brownie dessert. She didn’t like it and passed it to her brother. He tried it and didn’t like it either so he passed it to his mother. She also tried it and didn’t like it, so a triple thumbs down from them. We all agreed that we would have been much better going elsewhere and none of us will be going back to Morso. LessSo would be a more appropriate name.

Our family of three booked Morso for a dinner on a Sunday evening. We arrived around 7pm and the restaurant was not overly busy at that time. We were seated and given the menus. Vegetarian options were extremely limited and not exactly vegetarian as some were served with Parmesan cheese, which is not a vegetarian cheese. We ordered soup as a starter and from the moment we were served the starters until we were served our main courses about an hour had passed. In the meantime many of the diners had finished their meals, paid and left. Several tables were covered with dirty dishes and food spills. One waitress cleared the glasses and plates away but cups and food spills, napkins on floors etc. were left on the tables almost the entire time we were there. While the waiting staff seemingly stood around the bar chatting. Not a good look at all! In fact, when new diners arrived at some stage, the waiter had to look around for a clean and set up table for two people amongst all the dirty ones. First impressions were not great I’m afraid. Food was ok. Service was sloppy. We won’t return. Had visited the Doyen downstairs before and that was a much more positive experience.

Booked with work colleagues a dinner in the end of October 2017, to check out this new refurbishes establishment. Was blown away by the decorations for the Halloween-piece of art!, also the tables were spread very widely that allowed plenty of room for bags and plenty of space to 'breathe'. The waitresses who have served us, were all absolutely charming, sociable, friendly and attentive, Gemma in particular! Our fantastic starters have arrived promptly, delicious mussels in tomato sauce, the mains were delight-the duck ragu. White wine was beautifully presented by glass, chilled and rotated within the efficiency of the staff. Great music downstairs was offered to be enjoyed by the general manager who was very welcoming and pleasant. Overall, a place with a uniqueness to become Number 1 with such high standards of food quality and presentation, staff friendliness, positive vibes and charm and great facilities! Thank you-can not wait to be back.

Called in for a table for 3. The restaurant was busy but not overly busy, there were several empty (clean) tables available however the waitress asked us to come back in 15 minutes as they needed time
