Chicken drumsticks were nice enough Pizza was alright Doughballs where tasteless The chips no word of a lie where genuinely the worst I’ve ever had in my life couldn’t eat them and all the sauces tasted disgusting, I’ve went out of my way to find this place and give a review, sometimes fancier isn’t better !!!

Pizza never arrived. Restaurant uncontactable by phone, answer machine only. After a few hours I drove to the restaurant and they said it was not their fault — the Just Eat driver never arrived to collect it. No communication from Just Eat or Pizza Express to let me know. Still no response from Just Eat and no refund.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the food that was provided to me. When receiving my food, this worker under the name of Ethan Smith spat in my food and told me he jelqed and gooned all over the pizza. I, of course, did not have an idea what that meant so I just ignored it. At a glance, the pizza had a weird white gooey substance with a droopy consistency. I immediately got fustrated and left as I FOUND this unnacceptable

Algunos clientes habían estado esperando más de dos horas. Numerosos otros clientes también salieron. La peor experiencia.

Booked at table for the ballyhackamore restaurant on the day but it wasn’t ready when we arrived. Empty tables left uncleaned long after customers had left. Cutlery not clean and glasses badly marked. Our Order was eventually taken after around 20/30 mins waiting and drinks came after our starters! Not all mains arrived together and they forgot one of the orders. Desert menu looked good but there was nothing left to choose from apart from one desert…. Which when served, wasn’t as described. Disappointed to say the least with the whole experience! Not recommend!

Had a warm welcome from the manager and fantastic service from Melissa. Super friendly, engaging and attentive without being intrusive. The food was wonderfully cooked and the cheesecake finished off the meal perfectly. Thank you to all the team

Food freezing cold even thought destination was 5 minutes from the restaurant

Really disappointing order. Considering how expensive the food is I would have expected a lot better. After taking 50 minutes to arrive, it was barely luke warm, and was cold by the time I had only eaten half the pizza. It had clearly been sitting for quite some time. The crust was tough and chewy, and the cheese was starting to congeal. It hadn’t even been cut with a slicer. I had to bin the remaining half. Doubt I’ll be ordering from this branch again in a rush.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Our little boy has food allergies & We have great difficulty getting real reassurance from restaurants, we usually hear "we cannot guarantee" but I called ahead after calling somewhere else originally & had great reassurance over the phone, when we arrived Arthur our server brought out the allergen menu & showed us everything we could & couldn't order, very helpful & attentive & we were able to eat out & relax in a restaurant for the 1st time as a family, only parents of kids with allergies will understand how great this was! 10/10, would highly recommend. Made our week.

food arrived freezing cold and was absolutely disgusting will never order from here again total waste of 34 quid the prawns and pasta was like spot the prawns got 4 In total which were so small u would miss them for 15 odd pound definitely not worth it.. the kids pizza well it was burnt how they expect a child to eat that is beyond me it came with dough balls well think they were the only ateable thing in order and that was without the garlic butter as this came separate and was also freezing...

Regular pizza, here is considered good, nice atmosphere, but no temperature control, and the service leaves something to be desired, dirty table, we asked to clean it again, we asked for water, it took a long time to bring it, and very poor service, no care for the customer. They took away the plate before we finished eating, very bad, asking us to leave

I don’t mind the order being late, within reason. I do mind that the courier was left waiting at the restaurant for 20 minutes and then I received freezing cold pizza. Seems like staff just can’t be bothered bringing the food, which was ready, out to the courier. Perhaps the staff need reminding that delivery customers are paying customers too. Not good enough. Missing items also.

unfortunately the chicken pesto pasta was missing the chicken!? really disappointing. no garlic butter arrived for the dough balls, despite ordering it.

He couldn’t find our address even though it was clearly marked and it’s also a cul de sac on a busy street in east Belfast. Food was fine but not as warm as we’d have liked.

First time ordering delivery from here, food was freezing. Was originally given 740 for delivery time that changed to 830. Won’t be using again. Wish I’d read other reviews before ordering seems to be a recurring issue with Pizza Express

Always made to feel so welcome every time we visit with our Guide Dog puppy in training. Friendly staff, excellent service, couldn't find fault with anything.

Initial estimate for delivery was delayed. That would have been fine, but the pizza felt like it had just been taken out of the fridge - it was very cold, as though we had just got it out of the fridge, and desserts are far overpriced for how big they are.

Food quality amazing, great , deliver Time excellent. Now the delivery driver , please train your drivers!! sadly didn’t bother to look for the right door number, asked me to come outside to get the food, is he a delivery person being payed to do his job to deliver at the door not in the neighbourhood street !

Food was nice and hot, delivered quickly. Bit disappointed in the quality of the pizza - although it tasted great, and bought on offer, it had very little prawn (about 8 pieces) and even fewer cherry tomatoes (about 6 halves), wasn't worth the price paid unfortunately - even on offer

Dear just eat I ordered my food at 6.10 and it came after 8pm it had been ready from 6.20 in the restaurant this cost me over £20 and was a treat but honestly it was inedible I tried to ring the restaurant as you suggest a number of times and it was never answered so I couldn’t cancel my order. really disappointed won’t be ordering again you shouldn’t deliver food that late after ordering when you know it will be freezing. Need a better cancel order system too than ring a number that rings out I’ll be going back to the local pizza shop from now on save the hassles.

I was given a wee One4All voucher for £30 for Christmas, and so I thought I'd treat myself on my regular Thursday evening that I get to sit and read and relax. (Don't panic my wife gets Monday nights!) I have been going to Pizza Express for probably 35 years or more, there's something reliable and tasty and comforting about them. We don't go out much anymore having kids and stuff it just doesnt work out. So I haven't been for about 2-3 years. The restaurant was pretty quiet and I hadn't booked but that was no problem. One of the things I've learned over the years is a quiet restaurant means quiet service too, the staff aren't wired like when it's busy, so it was a little slow but I was in no rush so thats a minor problem! I ordered a Romana Funghi di Bosco with added Pepperoni, Garlic Bread with Cheese and a diet coke. The food came in the right space of time, and was lovely. Pizza cooked just right, and Garlic bread nice and tasty. As I would expect and hope. In terms of this branch of the chain, I cannot complain at all. The food was good and the staff were pleasant. But lets talk prices, my bill was £28.75, for a meal for one with no wine or anything. Perhaps I am naive but thats a gouge. The pizza was £15.95 which is okish, but £2.50 for the extra pepperoni?! Then £6.75 for a tiny cheesy garlic bread?! £3.55 for a coke?! Now if I complained to the company they'd spin me "cost of supplies / cost of living" blah blah" but yeah. This place is now aimed at the monied hipster middle class families. To give context, if I brought my family here we'd be looking at near £120 for a one course meal for 4. Nope. I'll have to think again when it comes to Pizza Express, sadly.

I had to write a review to praise the staff at this pizza express. We arrived around 4pm on Friday 22nd Dec. Even though there was a sign just put up that they were taking bookings only - we were accommodated and squeezed in, which they didn't have to do. I didn't get the name of the man who gave us a table - but we appreciated very much. We travelled from Newtownards and were looking forward to it so much. We were then greeted by Chris who took our order and chatted with us and made us feel very welcome. He included our toddler in the conversation and was very warm and friendly. Upon leaving, our toddler had a big tantrum -being carried out through the restaurant-arms and legs kicking everywhere - and Chris came bounding over and calmed him down , and gave him a little Christmas toy. He went out of his way to help and provided the best customer service I've ever received - in addition to the fact that he was rushed off his feet it was so busy. I didn't want this exceptional customer service to go unnoticed and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you

I am leaving this review because JUST EAT have not returned my emails. I am awaiting a full refund on this order. Made the £53 order. It arrived over one hour later FREEZING, not slightly cold. Stone cold. Called the restaurant they said it was JUST EATS FAULT they had re- made the order 3 times. No notes went through to restaurant so my vegan pizza was covered in cheese. My dough balls had no garlic butter. My second pizza ( no cheese for allergy reasons) COVERED in cheese. Did I mention it was FREEZING. The restaurant told me I Had to come and get it as they wouldn't redo it and deliver it incase the same thing happened. I had to leave my bestie who had been through a medical procedure to drive and get those good 30mins away. HORRIFIC. I want my Refund. NOW. Please & Thank you of course.

Tasty pizza - could have been little warmer though Delivery late but informed

First time in a long time that I can actually say it was perfectly cooked and delivered! A little cold because the driver had some difficulty finding out house - but it's pizza so reheated easily.

I ordered food at 4.50pm and it didn’t arrive until after 7pm after saying 35-45mins when I ordered

not only was the food freezing when it arrived, it arrived without a pizza we had ordered. fortunately the delivery driver kindly went back to collect it. However when I rang to explain this to the woman in pizza express she shouted down the phone to me as if it was my fault that the pizza had went missing and was so rude. Once the second pizza came back ...again arrived freezing cold. On top of that the salad ordered had BLACK lettuce, completely off. over 50 pounds of an absolute mess! NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM HERE!

Very nice tasty Pizza. It one of those usual taste a bit of out of originality taste not the same typical pizzazz taste. Love the chicken toppings and that thin base I click just original base ..for this take away! Def ordering from this place again with few more!

Pizza Express was excellent, service was terrific, food was lovely My wife and I both had Lasagne and we were not disappointed, they were beautiful. Our granddaughters both had pizzas and neither said a word until both were finished. What really made it for me was our server, on the night he was attentive, approachable and pleasant.

This evening my family had booked a table for 7.30pm including 6 adults 2 infants and one child. For those who don't want the full story, let me begin by saying I will never return. The restaurant was less than half full and once having placed our orders we were met with an unruly wait for over 1 hour to be served our starters, (including 2 dough balls, 1 kids dough balls and 1 mushroom starter) being a chef myself I know this is far from a difficult task to complete. Furthermore, after finishing our main courses ( after another extensive wait) we were offered the dessert menus and advised what had sold out only to be told when trying to order that we were not allowed to order as it was passed 9.30pm and we had children present at the table. My son wasn't allowed to order his dessert which was included in a 3 course children's menu. (And most importantly was CHARGED FOR). Nevermind the fact that my son was extremely disappointed by this fact, as was I, when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, only to be told repeatedly, "sorry about that". There was no offer of having anything removed from the bill to accompany this apology. I feel they may has well have put a boot to our behind on the way out the door. Overall to be made to wait excessive times for service and food, to then be thrown out before finishing a meal is beyond what I would rate as bad service and hospitality. I will not be returning to this venue and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a meal out with family. With the current cost of living crisis this was a very rare one off occasion, and I am bitterly disappointed by this experience. There are many other restaurants that are much more deserving of our hard earned wages.

Driver rang my phone. Didn’t hear it as I was upstairs. Didn’t knock the door. When I saw the missed call I went outside and saw the driver reversing out of the street. Rang the number was called on and it goes straight to automated recording. Rang the restaurant and they can’t do anything and the driver won’t go back to the restaurant as it’s through just eat. Restaurant now closed so can’t re order. So driver goes home with two free pizzas?

We went on a Wednesday night, which seemed quiet, too quiet obviously, because after our starter we were forgotten about. 30-40mins later the waitress noticed we were still sitting (we didn't mind too much, since we were talking) and then 10mins later our pizzas came. The decor is nice. Ten years ago a Pollo Ad Astra was £9.99 and now it's £15.95 . This is £3 more than it should be, accounting for inflation . (Source Bank of England inflation calculator) .

Absolutely awful pizza was terrible fell apart not much cheese on ordered extra mushroom on half of it they charged me full extra portion it was spot the mushroom competition potato garlic and herb was grim soggy plus the service was terrible never came near us once to see if everything was OK 🙈

Delivery excellent. Pizza was extremely poor in nature. Sauce bland and off putting, extra mushrooms were minimal with a few shavings, pizza poorly cut and the cheese on top somewhat sickly . Extremely poor effort from a well known provider. Pepperoni was very basic in nature and seemed shop bought and mechanical. Poor quality all round

Not sure if you have a kids summer scheme in the kitchen but it was like a child made my pizza. There was 2 bits of chicken on the pizza and one slice had a lot of cheese and the rest hardly any, was overrun with veg. When I lifted up the first slice all of the topping slid off. Tasted just ok. Will not be back.
