Morrisons Wood Green Cafe in Haringey

Great breakfast choices, affordable prices and good portion sizes. Definitely recommend for breakfast or a light bite. However they really need to sort out the menu as some sections are quite misleading, as the sandwich/paninis section is actually referring to the ones in the supermarket meal deal section while reading about sandwiches on the cafe’ menu would lead you to believe that they’re made fresh.

I can't believe, that in this day and age..the kitchen chef... can't prepare a simple breakfast on time. I usually can't eat much, so only ordered 2 toast with butter and an omelette. My coffee came pretty quick and I finished it before any food..asked them about my order, they looked lost. It took them 20minutes to bring and what I got crisp dry sick looking omelette and soft bread. I asked them what the he'll was that...they said, oh that's how it comes... we will make it again...I changed my order to fried egg, to be safe and well done. The lady brings shimmy undone egg again...I had a blood test to go to after breakfast and had to leave the restaurant without any food. I heard the woman in the kitchen saying..oh they want 5 star service and pay less.... This is what the impression of Morrisons of woodgreen cafe is. I am very annoyed and ashamed of my very loved Morrisons cafe. My money waisted and my mood spoiled by this kind of service.

The prices are good prices on the board and the portion sizes are good. However the first time I visited I had a vegetarian breakfast . The beans, toast and egg were Luke warm and the sausages the only hot thing on the plate. I have no idea what avocados are doing on a dry up style brekkie. The hash brown was just a tepid chewy potato glop. The second time I had the soup and roll with butter or vegan spread. The soup was delivered to my table and I went to get a spoon from the cutlery tray. All the cutlery has gone only teaspoons left. So I asked a member of staff who went and sourced a spoon, when she came back she was drying it off on a tea towel. So back to the soup. The roll was a stale bread affair and no spread whatsoever to put on it. I just threw the roll away. The soup was bland and had little substance, it was nicely heated in a microwave though. Today I went in to try one more time, I was going to have the avocado on toast. I went up to the counter, no other punters there, and waited. A member of staff had her back to me and was typing on her phone. I waited. I waited. I waited. Then I just turned and left. I went over the road and had 3 vegan sausages, chips, eggs (2) and beans with an endless cup of tea (free refills) for £4.91. If companies are going to compete with this then at least offer a good service, hot food when it is meant to be, and staff that are vested in their work.

The price for the food is good and you get a reasonable amount. I had the veggie breakfast which was brought out with a single sachet of ketchup. The avocado was the best thing on the plate even though I don't see a place for avocado on a fried breakfast of any kind. The sausages were ok and the only hot thing on the plate, maybe the rest was waiting on the side for the bangers to cook . The hash brown was tepid and very chewy. The grilled tomato was really half a tomato (a salad), the beans and toast were barely warm. The local spoon opposite has nothing to worry about. Not a thing I would go back for. Update 02/07/24 Oh no, I went back because I fancied a bowl of soup. Big mistake. 15:30 in the afternoon so not late. Only a couple of other punters in. I ordered the soup which was supposed to come with a roll and butter or vegan spread. I got my soup and went to grab a spoon, no cutlery at all, only teaspoons. So I asked for a large spoon which she went and got and came out drying one off. I then went back to my table to find the stale bread roll came with nothing.bi have already been up once. I could not be asked. So just at the very bland soup and threw the roll away. You should always have a stocked cutlery tray for your customers. Lesson finally learned.

Delivery took over an hour, food was cold and soggy

When I ordered it stated ultimate breakfast was £10.00. I ordered an extra poached egg at £1.19 plus extra bacon at £1.19

I think I'm gonna just give up with ordering stuff from Just eat. There's always things missing from my orders and then no one can help me with the problem. If people can't read/understand what's been ordered, they shouldn't be doing the job. The plus side is the food is actually nice from here so I do recommend.

Was looking forward to an early Christmas dinner but very disappointed with the turkey ! It was just processed sliced turkey,was like rubber !, no mash potatoes & there was no stuffing ball, had 1 very small carrot,a teaspoon of peas 😞. Love this café but it didn't live up to it's expectations.

Ordered 2 full ultimate breakfasts and one tea, and when they arrived tea and four black puddings were missing. And instead of four bacon two bacon was also missing.

Cappacino changed to milky coffee for the second time. 4 tomato ketchups changed to barbecue sauce which you can't put on sausage and egg. Given the emails sent about this company and all the others, are you surprised this is happening again? Feel free to express yourself on this question, really looking forward to your answer.

He's delivered someone else's order, a roast dinner and gravy. I paid for 4 sausage egg muffins, 4 ketchups, cappacino and tea. What do I do now, place the order all over again and ask for a refund. I don't have a camera, send the driver to pick up the order so that way there's no confusion. Why do you keep doing this to me over and over again, why????

Not great anymore. Used to be all freshly cooked on site i.e. proper roast beef & trimming. Now seems pre cooked small Yorkshire & pre cooked school dinner style beef, thinly sliced like boil in the bag or sandwhich slices! So disappointed :(

One of the muffins was missing. It's not possible to take a clear picture of a muffin that was charged for but wasn't delivered. The cappacino was changed to a milky coffee. Please can I have a refund. Before they send the questionnaire asking how good is our service, can I ask your expert opinion why the orders I place always have something missing over and over again, why do YOU think it keeps happening to me?

Bacon looks only half cooked and i didnt have the toast i ordered. I also ordered the cream tea which is meant to be tea sandwiches and scones i only got the sandwiches. Really disappointing

This was the very first time I had ordered a full English from them, because I really fancied some bacon. Sadly, there wasn’t any. Some sort of mushy pea mixture instead !!!!!!! Quite disappointed to be honest.

Poor quality, bad tasting, lukewarm food. Lots of items were missing and we were given boxes of bread instead.

What’s the point giving us the option of what egg we want? I chose poached and got a nasty fried egg, no toast and the wrong smoothie joke!

The quality of the order was not great, the butter had melted and it was cold. Unfortunately, I would not order again or recommend.

Local cafe closed so come here. I’ve never been to prison but I know they do better breakfasts there. Everything stone cold. Toast with no butter. Dirty cutlery. Worst breakfast i’ve ever had. Only positive is the staff are friendly.

The toilets are never open so I haven't ate there. One star as if you eat there there is no working toilet. Toilets have been closed for at least six months. A disgrace.

Fiancee and I enjoyed initial visits to new style set-up (which would have earned least 4 *s, sorry no reviews for those). Sadly, last Friday's result didn't live up to those purely on a food level. The chips used to be really good for the price - these tasted like different spuds used (or oil maybe) wetter not as fluffy, no where near golden, to top it all even the ketchup d/graded from Heinz to own-brand. Only the half decent cups of tea with soya milk option earns the 2 stars shown. Less staff, and not so happy with the work, you can tell.

Since they opened the new "food market" style gallery, the breakfast is very disappointing: bacon and eggs are cardboard as kept on heaters for hours and the system of choosing the food to compose the breakfast is a failure as it takes forever to the poor understaffed crew. Saturday morning at 10 there was a long queue with only one lady serving. I saw people leaving the queue. The food is very poor quality! That's a shame as Morrison's Cafe was THE ONLY place for breakfast in the Wood Green Station area.

They literally forgot my son's meal for 30mins, then had only fish fingers left on the kids menu, no communication or care, will not visit again

Absolutely disappointed and disgusted there was no organisation to their seating area. Staff members were arguing with each. One staff member walked away while serving me. Couldnt find a seat so asked to do take away but before our food was ready We finally found seats but the staff member refused us to give plates had to eat from our take away dishes.

Staff are friendly and the food I had was really good. The so called greasy food are not greasing, like full breakfast and fish and chips. I do tell the chef on shift that I enjoyed my food and I do get an instant reply back, a thumbs up. Other crew members are also helpful and polite, ans I do let them know. So readers, if you enjoyed the food do tell the staff .. this will lift their spirits up at work .. I hope.

Love this Morrisons cafe. I used to walk past and go to the Weatherspoons. Then I tried this once & discovered this is way cleaner, nicer clientelle, nicer smell ( not stale beer and sticky carpets) and actually better value for money. What's not to like? Whetherspoons used to make me feel "why did I do that " afterwards. No turning back.

The service was absolutely dreadful as it is everytime I visit...the staff are sullen and unhelpful and the crockery and utensils are not washed properly...the tables are usually full with men who sit there for hours not buying anything.

Despite visiting this cafe on numerous occasions previously, my visit today was a complete disaster. They had nothing on the menue except fish and chips, there were limited staff, and those that were there didnt know anything about the cafe. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our food, which was cold on arrival. Despite asking on numerous occasions why they could not just go to the store and get potatoes for baked potatoe, they said it was impossible. The store manager was called in on several occasions by other customers, and even he wad flustered and was unable to resolve matters. Unless they improve drastically, I would stringly recommend people stay away.

I ordered 3 children’s meals and a quiche. The children’s meals were good. My quiche was the size of a small orange 😲 and the roasted veg cous CPU’s was missing. I told a member of staff and said oh does it come with cous cous! She came back with some chickpea pasta salad. I asked if I could change the meal to a jacket potato with tuna. The jacket potato had hardly any tuna filling and a plonk of salad. This was retaliation for not being satisfied with the first meal I received. I did not re complain as who knows what could end up in my food!

The manageress Patricia is lovely and very helpful always happy to sort issues out and always very pleasant to deal with a smile unfortunately some of her staff seem completely useless and she spends most of her time sorting out problems they create even basic things like how to.use the till they cant do she would be better off on her own running the place

Lack of everything o the menu , specially fish and chips never seem to got any.

Have tried to give it a few chances now but each time it has been absolutely horrendous. They frequently run out of forks so you can expect to have to engage in battle just to eat your food. Best one yet is today however. Charged me £8.30 for burger, chips and a drink because the drinks machine wasn't working. Won't be coming back here again.

Overall not bad but Service is a bit slow. Rough people might get on your table and cause you unwanted stress and headache. Need more staff to work

food is good, girl at till too ages to ring up 1 tea pack of almond cookies, and 2 toast, after 5 minutes she forgot to ring up the toast ! the worst is, the extra cafe they have next to the flowers, the noise ! the banging ! i kept jumping out my seat, it annoyed my mum too, she wanted to leave, if there is coffee machines and tea pots, why have the extra till, and coffee making right next to the tables ? people go to eat and relax, not hear contstant banging, i liked the old version of the cafe. too dam noisey now. shame.

Great food at reasonable prices and feels quite homely like your nan has has cooked for you. Can't beat the bottomless drinks with your meal. Love the breakfasts and great for simple tea and a tea cake .

A lot of lonely old folk come here as part of their social life. The meals and snacks here are very good value. It's busy, but you can always get a table.

This five star review is purely for the staff..... they work flipping hard. I was waiting nearly 15 minutes just to be served and this is not a reflection on them, it's crazily understaffed. My food was excellent however, the coffee is good as well. Will be back for sure but maybe Morrisons should consider giving these guys some help. They are clearly worked hard here

Lovely food, but ordering drinks is nightmare

I would give this no stars if that was an option. Service was terrible. Waited over half an hour every time we have been when ordering a breakfast. Food doesn't taste too bad but it is not worth the wait. One time I asked to cancel my order because I waited over half an hour for a pot of porridge after being told several times that the food was coming when it wasn't. The staff are unhelpful and incredibly slow. Don't waste your money at this Morrisons cafe.
