DISGUSTING!! We come here regularly and lately every time we come the place is disgusting. We had to ask for a cloth to clean our own table, most tables were stacked with dirty dishes intact we took dishes off our table to have somewhere to sit. Staff seem fed up. Awful experience

Went for Sunday breakfast, 80% of the empty tables were stacked with dirty dishes. Ordered a Scottish breakfast which looked great but unfortunately was cold. It appears to be a busy cafe, staff seemed not to particularly like their jobs, the three which I saw looked defeated, maybe it was an off day.

Average - rather dirty tables - not cleared - could have a better customer experience - disappointing that evening meals are not catered for - seems that it is more important that childrens meal are highlighted - although cheap but quality is also important

The meal was very cheap, and the food was surprisingly tasty - much better than I expected for the price we were paying. We were in a hurry so it was perfect for us. We would definitely go back

Met at till by a rude and impolite member of staff. Did not use please nor thank you without being constantly promoted. Went to customer services and asked for the Store Manager. After 15 minutes wait and service desk repeatedly trying to get someone to come, a very offhand man who said he was “cafe manager” came with a very poor attitude. Opened up by calling me “mate” in a rude and insolent manner…..no wonder the staff he controls have such bad manners. Eventually found the shop floor manager called Adam actually stacking shelves, although I had again requested to see him and Tod he would come to me(he said he had not been asked apart from sending the cafe manager the first time). After explaining the problems to him he took my telephone number and email address for the Store Manager who was on two day’s off to contact me on his return. I now await discussing the whole matter with Mark the Store Manager, and am awaiting his call.

I knew from previous visits that nowadays at this cafe ordering is done from the table, after scanning a numbered QR label on the table, so I went in via the exit, sat down at a table and got my phone out. To my surprise, a waitress all smiles sauntered up and put on my table the precise meal I was about to order. Was this 'Psychic service' or a senior moment, me forgetting that I'd ordered? The waitress assured me the table number was correct, but I couldn't see anyone else sitting at 'my' table. I saw a hungry looking chap at the next table so figured it was his - it was. I assumed he had entered the wrong table number. I scanned the QR code and was bemused. The app that popped up thought I was ordering an online food delivery. I had to ask a waitress to sort it out. Even though I would have preferred tea, I knew from previous experience that, while I had to order it via the app, the customer had to fetch it personally, so I ordered a bottle of water thinking that would be brought to me. Wrong! I had to fetch it personally, but of course there was noone at the till to ask for one. I had to wait for a waitress to go by. Returning to my table, I noticed a waitress trying to deliver a meal identical to the one I had ordered but to another table, though that customer declined it. It was my meal, but with another table muddle. Now being in possession of my meal and my drink, I sat down to eat then realised that unless I wanted to eat it with my hands, I had to fetch cutlery personally - Doh! The food, food value and waitress staff in this cafe are fine, though the cafe is badly let down by an amateurish app and nonsensical muddle and mix of waitress service and personal fetch. Wetherspoons is my favourite pub. I have visited many over a period of years. Wetherspoons has a smooth ordering process. I think Wetherspoons should be invited to run Morrisons cafes.

Years ago, my family and I frequented Morrisons Cafe Perth, and then we did our shopping in store. In those days, a customer would be given a free standing table number, so the staff could see where to bring the order. After a gap of several years, I went back and my experience was poor - see review 15/06/20. I tried again today. Knowing that customers are nowadays required to pre select a table using the number fixed to the table, I entered the cafe at the exit and walked through until I came across a free, clean table. After waiting at the counter while other customers manually completed covid forms, I showed the 'checked in' on the covid app, expecting to proceed through ordering to sitting and eating. To my dismay, the assistant said that table was now taken! I was expected to find another table, go through the same nonsense and so on....so I walked....to McDonalds next door to ASDA. I will now do my shopping in ASDA rather than Morrisons, having had a smooth experience at McD's. Given that these problems are endemic throughout the Morrisons chain, does anyone think I will ever go back to any Morrisons store?

My daughter and I waited 1 hour for breakfast. Most of the staff were looking like they knew what they were doing but some of them were looking lost, 40 minutes later we enquired some information and a young girl Emma brought us only 2 toasts and said that’s all we ordered when we clearly showed her our full breakfast receipts. Very disappointed but at least Rosanna made it up and we got complimentary drinks which was okay but still bad service.

Visited here a few weeks ago and after reading all the bad reviews I thought I would add to it to prove all these people are correct and Morrisons has really went downhill. We stood at the till waiting to be served about 4:15pm and occasionally a girl would peer through the hatch at us, but said nothing to us. Anyway after a full 5 minutes by which time there were another 2 couples behind us, a young guy came through to the till but instead of taking our order he said 'im sorry we're closed'. We couldnt believe it. Did the girl behind the hatch think this was funny!! We were regular customers at various Morrisons cafes but now we treat them like they have treated us, they just don't exist anymore. 😔

The food was nice and fresh, however a Single member of staff was extremely rude and wasn’t good at costumer service. The restaurant also got my order wrong and that had to be changed but with great hesitation.

The food, presentation, pricing and seating plan are fine. What is a failure is the move towards ordering food via a terminal. P1: Customer has to declare a table number, and so chooses one in sight, gets there, finds it dirty, so has to move to another. Customer must then inform the counter staff and hope they remember - doh! P2: Having ordered food and a hot beverage, Customer finds that only the food is delivered to the table - hot beverages are self service - doh! P3: Customer self serves hot beverage and takes it to the table, then realises that a teaspoon has been forgotten, so goes back and finds that it wasn't forgotten - there aren't any. Customer must ask the counter staff for a teaspoon - doh! From a process perspective and customer experience, it's a shambles. Managers would learn how to set up and run a terminal ordering system from visiting McDonald's; it's a smooth process and good customer experience in McD's. As it stands, Customers might just go there next time on the way home after shopping in Morrisons.

Can’t quite figure why folks opt for Greggs, but the locals seem to love it. Greasy buns with sausage patties and hp sauce, or squished egg and cheese. Like an egg muffin but reheated meats and egg. You have to be in a big rush to choose this spot over a fast food place. It is, in fact, faster than fast food. And it’s cheap. But if you’re at a motorway service stop, go ahead in and have the full breakfast, take a little time for a decent meal.

Stopped by for soup and chunk of bread today. Nice soup, good price. Excellent service, and friendly staff. Other items on menu were pricey, e.g. £9 for a dessert.

We stayed in the adjacent "Atholl cottage" offered by the hotel. At best I'd rate the stay "okay" but only if you're not there in any cold temperatures. It was a cold week but it's not really much of an excuse when the main restaurant and lodge seemed to be heated fine. We were there with my husband and my grandparents and it was so cold in the cottage they couldn't sleep. The only room with any decent heat is the smaller bedroom and the bathroom. The living space was absolutely frozen. We sat in our winter jackets and hats despite the heating being on. The curtains at the front window cover the radiator, so your options are to let all the heat escape the radiator through the window or have your entire living space on display on one of the main roads of pitlochry. It's also to be noted the road was quite noisy throughout the night and morning, all sound comes through to the bedrooms. The carpets throughout are clearly very old, stained, and had a somewhat "sticky" feeling that you get with old carpet. Bathroom was fine, nothing to write home about. Noted that the shampoo despenser wasn't working. The kitchen had some basic supplies but no tea towels or oven glove and no baking trays of any kind for the oven. For a "self-catering cottage" it should have a few more things. There was also only 3 regular coffee sachets provided, the rest were decaf. The overall main detractor here is the heating situation in winter. It was so incredibly cold. I went to the reception to ask for any sorts of blankets and the woman working was incredulous when I said the cottage was cold (despite it being -°2 outside). She eventually went to get one additional king duvet which was appreciated but for a group of 4 not quite sufficient for all of us. It was not a pleasant start to the interaction and I was irritated at the state of the situation at that point so I decided to cut my losses and take the duvet and just deal with it for one night. If we were staying more than one night we would have moved to another hotel because it was truly unbearable for my grandparents. There is a glass backdoor with virtually no insulation - likely a major cause of the cold temperature. Overall there were a few minor things I could've let go, but I could in no way recommend this cottage to someone in its current state. The only benefit I will attribute is the central location, and the cottage comes with its own parking space (although this isn't informed upon booking). Towels and pillows were fine enough. I really recommend McKays take the comfort of guests more seriously and make some updates to the cottage if they intend to keep letting this out. It has a lot of wasted potential in its current state.
