Morrisons Morecambe Cafe in Lancaster

On arrival all table were mucky . Food cold . Not all food was delivered and ordered normal sausages and came meat free . Overall rubbish

Absolutely appalling staff, rude and inconsiderate.. ordered two sandwiches and drinks, no table number cards available and when they did arrive after 25 minutes the guy was less than polite and almost threw the plates down. Done with this cafe now

Sandwich i purchased was stale the bread was hard and the crisps were a week out of date staff said i have them at home a year out of date they should be fine....... BUT they were selling them at full price on checking all the Walkers S&V were all out of date. The staff made no effort to remove the crisps in the 30 minutes we were there

Awful place, and to think this cafe used to be decent 20 years ago! Now the common theme is dirty tables, sticky menus, disengaged staff. The coffee tasted bland and watery. Food is not up to scratch either. I've called in before and it's not unusual for the drinks machines to be out of order (very common in fact). There's no pride whatsoever, the temperature inside the room is freezing and you can't even get a teaspoon. The management have been notified about the absolute state of the cafe on several occasions by myself and others. They always say they will pass the feedback on but nothing ever changes. I am convinced it's a ploy to finally get rid altogether and save money. If I was in charge of the store I would be embarrassed.

The coffee machine was not working and it took 10 minutes before I got my drink dispensed. No apology was forthcoming. My meal took 20 minutes from ordering and was not worth the wait. The fish and chips were swimming in oil which had a rancid taste. It will be a long time before I feel like fish and chips again. The mushy peas had a grey appearance and slimy consistency. I didn’t get the drink I wanted as other people in the rapidly building queue had pressed various buttons on the coffee machine. Altogether a disagreeable and rank experience. Having just spent £50 in the store I shall take my custom else where. The staff were over worked and obviously unable to cope.

I picked up three cups before finding a clean one. It was afternoon and I ordered a breakfast it had obviously been cooked a while as the poached egg was like rubber everything was lukewarm. I ate the toast as it was the only hot thing on the plate. After licking her finger the lady at the till gave me a dirty number card “63” even though I told her table 1. I gave the plate to a young lad explaining it was cold he apologised and wandered off into the kitchen. Didn’t offer to replace it or an alternative. There were no other staff about. Very disappointed as I was a regular customer at the cafe sadly there have been staff cuts and standards have dropped. The lady on the next table told me she had sent her cold food back which was reheated. There was so much batter on her fish she couldn’t eat it. Come on Morrisons either employ more staff or train the few you have. Won’t eat there again.

Went for the 2 breakfasts and 2 hot drinks for £10 advertised on national TV. There was a sign up saying "Due to equipment failure we can not cook Bacon, mushrooms or tomatoes. I fail to see what equipment failure would cause this when hot meals were being served. It's just not good enough. Morrisons has lost a fortune rather than attempting an alternative method of cooking.

Fish and chips mushy peas good value clean tables good staff prompt service good choices on the menus specials on offer as well plenty of parking as well

Visited the cafe for lunch. On arrival tables not cleaned no trays. Eventually got served . We ordered 2 hot drinks wirh our food. and was told to take cups and help ourselves. . And a table number so the would come to the right table. The coffee machine had no coffee beans in so had to ask for it to be sorted. Eventually got the coffee. Half a cup in big cups. We sat down. People where arriving after us and receiving there food before us to. Waited 25 mins for our food it Eventually come. The young girl was on the till was very nice. Other staff looked like they didn't want to help or looked depressed. . It was an experience I wouldn't repeat. I would rather spend my money else where. Food quality not very good either and tasteless.

If you’re OK with a supermarket cafe, the food provided is great. I had ‘ultimate’ fish & chips - a huge well cooked fish fillet, excellent chips and peas. The new ‘order at your table’ option avoids the old queues, and is particularly good if you’re eating solo, as you now don’t have to order then find a table. Good value, too!

Been here a few times over the Winter and the cafe is always cold! As it's positioned right by two main entrances, surely one of them could be closed to retain some heat. Called in last Saturday and noticed every person was sat with big coats on, some were wearing hats, it was a cold day outside but very cold in the cafe. When you get the meal you have to eat it at top speed so there's some warmth left in it! Also the coffee machines are never working, these have been like this since before the pandemic. Management need to get this sorted, Asda & Sainsburys have warm cafes with lots of hot meals & coffee!

Called just for a coffee, trays were not clean, coffee prep area was not clean, some mugs needed deep stain cleaning not just putting through the dishwasher again. I expect Morrison’s management to jump on this immediately or the next visitors will be environmental health, not paying customers. Please note, felt so sorry for the obviously overworked and poorly managed staff who were trying to provide a service.

Took our 3 toddlers to get some dinner, the next day they’ve had diarrhoea and throwing up! I am also ill too! NOT HAPPY!!!

We took our young toddlers to the cafe yesterday and straight away us mums was nearly sick after leaving. Today all 3 toddlers have diarrhoea and sickness from there. It’s absolutely disgusting. Our babies are poorly now. NOT HAPPY

We stopped here for breakfast and were extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality of the freshly cooked veggie option. The coffee was excellent Despite being short staffed the staff were very friendly and helpful. Impressive. Thank you.

the cake was hard no coffee available and the choice of what was available was limited the cup of tea my partner had was like dish water

We used the online ordering app, which seemed to be required. We ordered a full breakfast, and fish and chips. Whilst we waited, we heard people who had gone up to the counter being warned of 40 minutes waits for their food. In reality the people who approached the counter were served far earlier than our online order. The wait was so long, we wondered if we had got the wrong branch of Morrisons. On approaching a gentleman on the till, he said that no .... it was on its way. I think that there must have been some mistake with the order, as he gave us a free drink, which was very nice. The food order was wrong, when it did arrive and partially cold.

I always call at Morrisons cafe for tea when I go away at weekends. Could be anywhere in country but this weekend it was Morecambe. Went in with my daughter and granddaughter. Unfortunately there was a slight problem with the trays. The manager - she said she was new here. Couldn't have bee more helpful. She was lovely. Really helpful. Had a lovely meal...and very cheap! Called to the cafeteria on Wednesday 16/03/2022 I was stood for a long time no one at the till end up shouting hello at the door where the kitchen was still no one but could hear voice’s then someone pop out not pleasant at all ordered food and a coffee only black coffee in machine don’t no what was up with it went to a table there was an old dirty face mask on the seat table not been clean at all then the coffee was cold so ask to change it to a tea which they said yes and the full breakfast was disgusting the all cafe was disgusting I would never eat there again very poor service and a lack on manors

Thought we would treat ourselves to a late breakfast at Morrisons cafe in Morecambe. Bad idea! First of all only one coffee machine working so big queue to get a drink. When I say one machine working... had to press 2 times to fill cup and painfully slow each time especially when queue ever lengthening behind us. Took the drink back to table and it was just very strong black coffee with a bit of foam on top instead of the cappaccinos we ordered. Already realising this was a bad idea we then waited 40 minutes for breadfast. At least the food was edible but the whole experience was very disappointing so maybe Sainsbury's next time, if it's still available. Maybe Morrisons is lucky Aldi don't have a cafe or I reckon the whole place would be shut within a month.

We visited with our children for breakfast this morning....I was going to get a pot of tea but tea pots were disgusting and need descaling. The lady serving us came across rude. Our table was sticky and hadn't been cleaned so we moved and all the tables seemed the same. I had to ask the waitress to clean it for us. As we watched her remove the pots from each table, not one was cleaned afterwards. The cutlery was out for everyone to touch and was also unclean. The plastic covid sheets between the tables were really dirty and have never been cleaned by the look of them. The food came out cold and we soon left and will never return. We used to visit here alot but I will be telling everyone to avoid now.

From the time I spoke to the guy at the till to eating my meal - Just great, friendly service. Fish and Chips were great, complimented by homemade tartare sauce and mushy peas, with bread, butter and good pot of tea.

We couldn't find any decent cafes in Morecambe so settled on Morrisons because you know what you get. We ordered hot food which was adequate and came quicker than forecast. The cafe was clean with good friendly service staff.

This is one of Morrison's better cafés usually busy but the staff are very good and helpful. The dinners and sandwiches offer good value or just a cup of coffee before setting off shopping.
