Morrisons Mansfield Cafe in Mansfield

Absolutely shocking service today. Ordered chicken tikka with extra portion of chips and fish and chips with drinks, was told they needed to check they had chicken tikka before I paid, the lady went into the kitchen and came back said it was available. About 15 mins after came to our table to say fish and chips wasn't available, so I changed to chips,sausage and beans . After another 15 mins a guy came out and said they was a problem with chips so he would only be able to do the chicken tikka and asked for receipt to give me a refund. Came out with the chicken tikka ,rice was swimming in water . When the lady brought my refund she just refunded me for the meal and not extra chips so she needed to give me another refund. The chicken tikka came without nan bread and I asked saying you forgot the nan that comes with the tikka and her response was we haven't got any we not doing very well. Absolutely unbelievable service

I have been here twice before and wasn’t very good but thought I would try again as my children were hungry and this was closest. Really wish I didn’t. Waste of money. Food came out dry and cold- my kids refused to eat and they eat everything. My food was gammon and not only did it look awful it tastes awful. The quality is bad and it’s clearly been sat under a heat lamp for a while aswell. Iv eaten at other Morrisons cafes and they are nowhere near as bad as this one. I definitely will never return to this Morrisons cafe again. Every table is dirty aswell but from what I saw. It’s only 2 staff working.

It came soggy and burnt, was very disappointed also had half of what was advertised so would not recommend for breakfast

Food took 50 minutes to come, hash browns, sausages and bacon was way overcooked. Chips were completely missing.

Called in for some lunch, place could do with a little attention to clearing tables, service from staff was fine, food was fine

Absolutely awful. Ordered our food via the screen. Chips came to our table, eventually cold. The sandwiches we ordered and paid for wasn't available. Gone down hill big time!

Both bun and sausages were small for almost 5. The sausages resembled party sausages. My sandwich came deconstructed and cold and took about 45 mins to be made and dropped off from round the corner. Won’t be ordering again.

After ordering on the screen when you enter the cafe and paying for food, I went to get a childs ham sandwich and there wasn't any in the fridge, so I went to the counter. After waiting over 5mins for someone to come to serve I was told they hadn't any left. I stated that I was allowed to order it and pay for it and I thought it was disgusting. The member of staff the went into the back and found one for me. On the cooked food ordered the chips were cold and tasteless and the scampi overcooked. My granddaughter then stood at the till waiting to buy herself desert. Staff walked passed her twice before serving.

First time I came to this cafe in Morrisons at Mansfield I ordered a full vegetarian breakfast and the worker came back to me with a plate full of bacon, I feel this place is racist as I was the only Asian in the cafe and I do not eat bacon which is why specifically ordered a vegetarian breakfast absolutely disgusting wouldn’t recommend to anybody.

We went today for some lunch, it's been nearly 10 years since we last visited and the place looks really grotty and dirty, there was lots of dirty tables that needed clearing our food came and it wasn't the best to be honest hubby had fish chips and peas the mushy peas was like bullets the chips was anemic and the fish was very greasy, I had chicken chips and salad it was OK but not the best quality meal the coffee machines wasn't working properly the whole experience has put us off going again which is a shame as it used to be good

Been a few times and normally ok, today was terrible, no drinks in the fridge, ok they get busy, but every table was filthy with dried on food, all the cutlery was dirty and not washed properly and not just water marks

Visited today. Placed our order on the electronic ordering screen. They had no numbers for the tables. Once we found a table we were told that the food that we selected was not available, we had to go back to the till to order something else which came to less than what we had ordered before. There should have been a £2 refund but the young man who served me offered me a free drink? I just wanted my money back. He said that was too complicated and could not do me a refund. We found a dirty table, there was no one cleaning tables or taking any of the dirty plates away. The coffee machines were filthy and there was no servilletes or clean cutlery, everything felt filthy and unkempt. The fish and chips and mushy peas was of poor quality, my chips were burnt and the mushy peas were brown and hard like bullets, my husband's jacket potato and tuna was better than my meal. There was no milk in the coffee machine. They closed half of the restaurant for cleaning purposes but the few tables that were available were covered on dirty crockery and no one came out to clean up or to wipe the tables clean. This was certainly our last visit to this cafe. Sadly it is a poor reflection on Morrisons supermarket. Food Standards should pay them a visit. Do not waste your money, do not bother.

Ordered food and was missing a whole a meal

Dirty trays,tables..dirty and dusty near cutlery sets.me and my friend visited and we had to look all the tables to find a neat one..very dirty atmosphere..no cleanliness.didnt see anyone to ask to clean the table before it served.Food was tasty and nice.but need improvement in cleaning in all over the cafe

Had a breakfast from here yesterday morning it was disgusting, over cooked dried sausages, dry scrambled eggs, bacon that was very thin and dry, mushrooms under cooked, fried bread cooked in deep fat fryer and was too greasy and tasted of old oil in a deep fat fryer. Needless to say I’ve have spent the afternoon in bed feeling nauseous and this evening it’s been a struggle to keep off the toilet. Avoid at all costs. I will be reporting it to the environmental health department. And seeing my GP ASAP. Since writing this I have been to see my GP as I am diabetic and have had to stop taking some medication, increase my insulin, I’m still unwell. And have had to cancel a hospital appointment for an ultrasound. This is impacting on my mental health! I’ve reported this to Morrisons who are yet to get back to me. So I shall now report it to the food standards agency!

Hash browns were not cooked properly and the toast had already been overly buttererd which meant it was soggy. everything else was OK, nothing special.

Discusting. No choice of food pots and cutlery need a good wash. tables dirty .12 o'clock only just opened up. no fish no pie not much choice of any thing really.had a breakfast lots of stuff missing .the whole cafe need looking at.how can you run out of food in a supper Market.. need a new way of running it ..horrible place...

The food was cold and I mean really cold. The beans were missing on both meals and one came without bacon. Never again totally inedible

Bacon was like swallowing razor blades, sausages where disgusting, hash browns wasn’t nice, fried bread had fat dried on the bottom of it, scrambled eggs taste like omelette mushrooms didn’t smell right so left them, beans where alright though

Missing items, put the claim in for the missing items to be blown off with "we've looked into your claim and can't do anything this time" it's like it's such a hard task to ensure the items on the receipt are in the bag

We had not used this Morrison's restaurant for quite some time so decided to use it before shopping. We looked for menus but none to be found but came across the computerised ordering point which worked ok until asked for table no's but no table no cards were available, after searching for them collected several (for others after us) from the till and completed the order. Then finding how to sort drinks was the next hurdle but finally overcome, We easily found a table which seemed strange at 12-00pm on a Friday lunchtime as the restaurant appeared very quiet. The food came, not exactly service with a smile and the burger with cheese I ordered was missing the cheese, both our portions of chips that came with the meal were lukewarm and all the assistant seemed to bother about when bringing the meals was claiming the table no card back. The cost of the food was pretty low but it was a pretty poor experience and not one we will be repeating in the future. Such a shame as the food used to be far better but the service has no doubt suffered by trying to automate like so many other shops and service but the quality of service as usual tends to suffer.

Waited 50 minutes for cold food, staff didn’t care and wasn’t interested, tables full of used plates, wasn’t even a clean cup for me to have a coffee. Absolute joke, won’t be returning - ever

Missing additional items and no food was sealed.

Had to wait 20 mins for beans & egg on toast . When it arrived it was barely warm . Complained and got a replacement 15 mins later but was not much better . So Complained again & got a refund . Tables were not cleaned & there was no cutlery available , will definitely not be returning .

Extremely disappointed delicatessen counter not being open at 3 o'clock on a Saturday we always buy about 12 pounds worth of ham cheese olives etc would have thought Saturday was busiest day very unhappy customer!!!

Sorry, but today will mark my last visit to Morrisons cafe. There were 2 staff members working, who both seemed thoroughly depressed. The system at the cafe entrance, where food is supposed to be ordered, had no table numbers and gave no receipt. The food (bangers and mash) took ages to arrive, and although the sausages were hot, everything else was nearly cold. The gravy was served in a filthy jug. Half of the drinks were not available in the self-service machine, despite the fact that customers had paid for them before discovering so. I had to go in search of milk, which I found in a sealed box on top of the cutlery stand. The whole area was cold and everything was dirty. We were very disappointed, as we used to love to visit the cafe whenever we visited King's Mill. Never again.....

1 star is actually too kind Called in to cafe for a drink while partner in hospital. Staff absolutely miserable, hot drinks machine broken, had to ask for a plate for cake, and was dirty, nothing to pick cake up so had to use fingers I'm afraid. 4 cups before i found a cleanish one, then went to cutlery section. And I kid you not the knives, spoons, forks were all filthy with bits of food still on them. This place is shocking and needs looking into how it's ran.

Absolutely awful! Truly terrible Even by morisons cafe standards. Chicken nuggets that tast like cardboard Inverted cheese toasties that don't get cut before service Cold lasagna and garlic bread. No cutlery with a 5 minuet wait while food cools. No fruitshoots in the fridge so self service is a joke It's only a supermarket cafe, you only expect so much, and this fails on every metric to meet basic requirements. Oh, just to confirm, it's not busy at least 50% of tables are free.

Not great to be honest, we have come to this cafe many times but it seems to have dramatically gone down hill. It looks dirty. The coffee machine looks disgusting. I ordered avocado and poached egg on nice bread as you can see on the picture. It was disappointing. I asked where the bread was that they advertise and the lady advised that they never have that. The staff are lovely but unfortunately the standards have dramatically dropped in food and cleanliness. Edit.. cannot add pics for some reason. But basically it was runny mush on cheap bread, nothing like the pic

The tall lady who was taking order ,was very rude , it was my first time , never again. It’s very embarrassing that someone at her age doesn’t know how to communicate.

Dirty no surfaces wiped dirty cups dirty cutlery asked for some clean cutlery and was given even dirtier cutlery staff seem brainless with zero motivation floor covered in food and dirt the coffee machine was filthy tables not cleared what looks like for hours.....

Terrible... Walked in early doors around 9am and ordered via there self order screen on the way in, Got our table number, Paid, No receipt given as there was no paper. Sat at a table and put our number in the middle of the table as you do. While we was waiting for our order we noticed a guy who was sat waiting at least half an hour for his food and we could see the frustration on his face just for a cooked breakfast. The waitress came out numerous times shouting out numbers but not the right orders. She must of thought she was shouting numbers at a bingo hall because she would of been good that. One table ordered meat free and they brought out full meat breakfast, we could see the insult look on there face's that they were not happy. Surely you can't get that wrong. It must of took at least half an hour just for our food and even then it was cold. No drinks came out with our food so I had to go back up and get it. The guy we mentioned earlier still not got his breakfast. There was no organisation, no communication and most definitely the staff was not bothered. We will definitely not be going again. I wonder if that guy is still waiting for his breakfast?

If you like cheap ingredients and everything deep fried to the point of cremation level then you’ll love it here.

Very disappointed today. Ordered a bacon roll which took nearly 25 mins and when it came it was stone cold. The guy took it and came back feeling like it had been warmed up in microwave as then the roll was hard. Very greasy. Asked for ketchup for our table and he came back with one sachet. The choices in the fridge were very poor. My daughter asked for a jug or something to warm the babies milk and she was given a filthy jug . So disappointed ..

First time having a morrisons breakfast, it is better than other supermarkets we've been to but we are still disappointed. Bacon is practically raw, food was barely warm, other than that the food was satisfactory. We came here with high expectations after seeing it rated as the best supermarket breakfast. We like the self service ordering on the touch screen so you can fully personalise your meal and experience 👌🏻

The lids don't fit the take out cups for hot drinks! Cold drinks or a visit to the burns unit 🤷🏻‍♀️

The filthiest cafe I've ever eaten in.. I counted 14 tables full of dirty crockery left by unhelpful staff. No where to sit and had to ask for the place to be cleaned 1st before my food arrived...... Late - 15 minute wait for cold food There was more food on the floor and seats that actually came out of the kitchen.. Poor value for money, overpriced and rude staff. Awful table service and staff that clearly don't care. Would not recommend... Try the King and Miller around the corner for better value and half the price

Terrible service. Girl who served us. Clearly didn't want to be there. Found stringy bits in my beans. Sausages cold in the middle. Was told stringy bits were from my egg. Definitely wasn't.

Soggy, cold, uncooked toast. A dozen or more dirty mugs where clean ones should be. Coffee machine spewing out black treacle , obviously something wrong with it!

Charged extra too swap beans for tomatoes and charged extra to swap hash brown for an egg. Overcharged by 40 pence. Food was luke warm. Will not be going back.

Some menu items are good value for money others are not really look at what your ordering.Covid precautions good and find a table before you order a new way of doing it,and it's clean

Well ,was disappointed went in morning and all the apple pie was gone, was gutted its the best .

Good food and not over priced. Staff very pleasant and attentive.

Busy place due to social distancing so you may find you have to que but still great food delivered quickly and at a great price.

Running a reduced menu however never have any vegan options regularly told not hot food at 5pm. Out of 10 visit managed to get a meat free all day brunch However when it came it was 8 meat free sausages and a plate full of chips this is not a all day brunch like I ordered it was meat free sausage and chips. Lentil cottage pie came out very cold had to send back to be re heated.

Well went for tea at 5.30, orded fish, chips with bread & butter i never got the bread, orded bangers & mash & peas, no peas but was not told they dident have any left, so not a good experience really, but for half price couldent bring myself to complain

Had a few bad experiences here before, I thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt however we were wrong. When we walked in there was a massive queue for ordering as the automated machine was turned off, when we got to ordering we were given basically no choice as the supermarket café was out of stock?? We couldn't choose was size drink and weren't told what size was what as there was only small cups and got charged for large. Ordered a beef burger which on the menu says comes with cheese but then charged 50p for a slice of cheese? Good and friendly service but not enough staff to actually handle the café the floor covered with mess and food with nobody cleaning up AT ALL whilest we were there. When we got food the chips were burnt to a crisp and the side salads were non-existent and the cheese and onion toastie was cheese and tomato. Sufficed to say not coming back anytime soon.

Breakfast in cafe was cold and of poor quality.not cooked to order stews all morning getting cold.

One of the worst experience I've had in many years.... I ordered 3 hot foods for me my wife and child... My wife's arrived first, then my sones... But it was wrong.... So I had to take it back..... Then I was served my dinner.... My food was cold so that went back... By this time my wife had finished and me and my son were still waiting.... SLOW POOR SERVICE.... AVOID...

Great service and value for money

Very poor experience and would give less stars if I could. Got to the Cafe at 6:20pm, 40 mins before time of closing. We ordered via the automated computer screen, took our table number and sat down. The lady on the counter approached us and asked if we were the table that had ordered the burger. We had and were then told that it was "getting a bit late", the staff "were going to be going soon" and they had "started cleaning" so if I could choose something else instead. I was surprised and disappointed as it seemed pretty unprofessional but I didn't want to be a pain so I asked for a cheese and onion toastie. I asked for the difference to be refunded but was told that the lady on the till couldn't do refunds to cards. She offered to provide me with change which I accepted (having paid on card I just wanted the difference back). When the food did arrive the main and the dessert were brought together, with custard down the outside of the bowl. Bringing them out together meant that by the time we got to the dessert it was stone cold. The toastie itself was burnt but the inside was surprisingly raw...I'm not sure how they managed that. The onions weren't cooked at all. Half way through we realised my partner's milkshake hadn't been brought out so I asked about this with the lady on the till. She looked at me surprised and said "we don't provide milkshakes" I stared at her for at least ten seconds confused and then she continued "Oh if you ordered on the machine that's wrong. We don't do milkshakes and I keep trying to get it removed. Just help yourself to a bottle of juice or water or something"...We ate the food, didn't bother to mention the second price difference between the milkshake and bottle of Oasis and promptly left. Awful experience. If you're open until 7pm, you should treat the customers that come in at 6:20pm just as you would for customers that come at 10:05am, our custom and money is still worth the same. Didn't appreciate being made to feel a burden for coming in towards the end of the day, or stupid for not knowing you didn't offer certain items even though they are on your menu.

The cafe at morrisons is well staffed. After spending my lunch there this Saturday afternoon i had recognised that they was more over staffed than under staffed. The tables could do with a bit more of a wipe down.The food was good but slightly on the burned side.The prices for drinks is way too high for the quantity of drink you are able to put inside.To be Honest it would cheaper to buy the full 2L of coca cola in the store despite its inconvenience.

A very warm and friendly environment from the Morrison staff. The food is very reasonable and displayed wonderful. A definitely good place to stop by for a quick lunch after shopping. The only downside is there seem to be a bit of confusion with the staff with the every changing automatic order system. But they don't let it get them down.

Understaffed, the staff appear over overstretched albeit very polite under very difficult circumstances. Morrisons you need to do something about this

Fantastic value for money here and big portions i come here for dinner if i'm passing , it does get really busy at times so be prepared to wait a little while at busy times for you food , well done !!

Admittedly I visited at lunch time Order taken swiftly and professionally but went down hill swiftly Dinner came after 40 mins after several requests and n arrival looked as been under a hot plate for most of that time bacon dry and hard egg same...

After waiting over half an hour and the next table being served who sat down long after us my husband was starting to feel ill as he is diabetic so went to the counter to find out how much longer our meal would be told...

Called in for a breakfast after Kingsmill and it was a great change to have a nicely cooked and well presented meal from a supermarket cafe it was hot and very tasty. The cafe was clean and the staff were friendly give it a try.

Very tasty, good value nosh, only let down by the slow service. Highly recommended if your fed up of shopping!

We've visited here probably 3 times a week over the last 6 months, not because it's any good but because it's on the route we have to take and there's not many alternatives. I don't think in any one visit there hasn't been something to...
