Morrisons Cafe in Birmingham

Went this morning with my wife, 1st of all the cappuccino was cold from the machine, when our breakfast was served to us, it was also cold. when we sat down in to eat is was so cold, in fact we never took our coats off. I'me hoping someone will get in touch with me,

Popped in for a coffee whilst waiting for my wife. Self service only, and the ordering machine was difficult to use as the touchscreen was not functioning properly. A number of tables needed clearing, and some of the furniture was a little old and stained. My coffee was Luke warm and the Belgian bun was hard, probably been out most of the day. A shame as previous experience has always been good.

We asked if toast could be buttered. Expecting a no & was set to go back out. OMG Sandra agreed to butter the toast. She was so very pleasant & customer focused. It’s not often you can get a hot buttered toast Mmmmmmm. It was absolutely gorgeous. It also led to us ordering other foods & drinks. Thank you Morrison’s Rubery for having such a multi skilled lady called Sandra on your payroll. She was completely in tune with your customers. Also the whole of the cafeteria looked clean & very tidy. But let’s not forget the perfect toast.

We had breakfast here ordered the full English with bloomer toast. The breakfast arrived not very appetising and sliced toast not impresses but at least once you ordered and got your drinks the food was table service

My 92 year old mother loves Morrisons at Rubery which is why my daughter and I take her most weeks to do a bit of shopping and have lunch in the cafe which is fine. However the last time we used the pharmacy about 18 months ago I had to complain because we were completely ignored by the staff behind the counter and I vowed I wouldn't use it again. This Thursday my mother needed something from the pharmacy and I did give it another go. There was a man in front of me who slammed his purchase down and walked out and after standing there for a good few minutes I also walked out. There was a man doing prescriptions who just totally ignored me and my mother who is in a wheelchair. Definitely will not be trying again.

We attended rednal for breakfast today 30 September 2020 ordered 2 ultimate breakfast. Well we left most of it not good. Came out cold, eggs not cooked properly with slime and I wouldn’t mind no yolk as they were broken. The fried bread was as it states bread not fried but maybe just left to float in a pan of cold oil. Coffee again cold. Two little packs of butter for 4 pieces of toast. Well as you tell we were not happy and one more thing I would like to mention people still walking around the food area no masks although advertising this is required!!!!! I don’t usually leave negative feedback but this was poor

My self and my partner went hear at 10am on bank holiday Monday after ordering 2 breakfast and waiting 40 minutes and still no food I asked for a refund of which took a further 10 minutes and at no stage was any apology given if only they would of had the courtesy of letting people know how long the wait was when ordering food

I like the cafe and I like the atmosphere. There is one thing for me that lets the place down and it is the condition of all the surfaces. The trays & tables are given a quick wipe over with what must be a wet cloth that is just not clean enough. Plus I popped in today ( 26th December ) the trays looked dirty and the coffee machine only had de caffeinated. If it cannot be kept topped up and there are not enough staff then it should have been kept closed, rather than a half hearted attempt at opening the cafe, when there was obviously not enough food or beverages available.

Light cafe with views over the car park and main road. A varied breakfast menu from full meal to lighter snack. My big breakfast filled the plate - and me. Free refills of hot drinks. My wife said porridge was a little stodgy but came with plenty of fruit and compote. Overall food of decent quality, service friendly and efficient and very good value for money

Thank you for listening to your customer..Mr Manager. Wasn’t happy with meal or untidiness of Cafeteria. Spoke to manager Stephen & complained. I had paid for a poor meal & service, however he advised me to revisit at a cost to Morrison’s. I did about a month later. My food was piping hot and very tasty. All of the cafeteria was tidy. If your not happy you need to bring to managers attention otherwise they are unaware. Clowie the young cashier was very confident, professional and efficient.

stopped by Morrison's cafe at castle bromwich on a quiet friday afternoon,cafe not very busy,ordered the large fish & chips only to be told they had ran out....ok.....so we were offered the small version of the dish,paid sat down at our table......35mins later food turned up,other customers who paid after us were served there food, no sorry,no sorry its taken so long....terrible service really as i said the cafe was quiet.... food not that bad.....but come on morrisons sort out this ridiculous wait for food

Went in to eat with family. There are hardly any staff around to assist. Tables dirty and full of dirty plates etc. Tray racks were full so no option but to leave used trays on tables. Supposedly clean cups and cutlery were still dirty. It took about 15 cups to find a clean one!! Milk pots empty. All this before we’ve even got our meal!!! My daughters meals arrived, then I was told that they had nothing left of what I had ordered. So I chose again. Had to wait ages and the food didn’t arrive. My daughters had finished their meal, despite it not being hot enough. I asked for a refund on my meal as I had waited over 20 mins for the new meal. They are clearly short staffed and the staff that are there don’t seem to care and lack any form of customer service training. I used to visit Morrison’s cafe regularly as the food was great and staff were really friendly. What went wrong????

Absolutely diabolical management and service I would never buy another product from this s... hole. Shame on you.

We had a small breakfast for me it was horrendous. Hash brown u could built a wall with it and bacon it was like jecky. My husband had fish and chips was suppose to be big but it was a mini complain and she said no it's right. But she brought another out to some one else and that was massive. Don't think we will come here again.

Really excellent value for money, Big Daddy Breakfast is a must when your hungry, could easily feed two people and really good value for money. Nice and hot freshly cooked. Service was quick and polite.

Fui a desayunar esta mañana. A excepción de los frijoles, todos los artículos estaban fríos o tibios en el mejor de los casos.Las personas que regresaban a desayunar suponían que también estaban frías. ¿Por qué no pueden servir comida caliente CALIENTE, incluso sirven comida caliente en platos fríos? Es básico calentar los platos. Incluso el café local, s hacer eso.No iré otra vez, lo que significa que vamos a comprar en otro lugar.

¿Qué demonios has hecho con la deliciosa comida anterior? . Has cambiado la comida de la cafetería y ahora es terrible. A lo largo de los años hemos disfrutado de muchos desayunos de huevo sobre tostadas. La mantequilla utilizada en la tostada caliente estaba deliciosa, como mínimo. Todo lo relacionado con los productos utilizados fue brillante. Por desgracia todo ha cambiado, tostadas, huevos, mantequilla. Sin sabor y barato y desagradable. Lo intenté hace un mes e hice comentarios a la gerencia sobre lo malo que era. Esta semana lo intenté de nuevo. Café casi vacío, comida insípida fría y sosa. Quería hablar con el gerente de restaurantes Steven pero no disponible. Todo lo que puedo decirle a cualquiera que no esté contento se lo comunique al gerente de Steven (si no está en su oportunidad). Morrison está haciendo lo que está haciendo al enajenar a los clientes. Pagué por la mierda, así que supongo que soy el perdedor.

Waited ages to be served. Lady on till had only been there 2 days and had no idea how to use the till and had no support from colleagues. Customer in front asked for teacakes, was told "we've sold out" customer responded "there are loads in the bakery section" lady responded "sorry but we can't use the ones on shop floor". Very poor management.

Called in for a quick snack tuna sandwich with out the tuna and 35 mins to warm a panini up complained to the girl to be told am sorry all the tuna sandwich are like that all the time and off she went very poor value for money. Dirty tables and food all over floor and seats. There was only 2 other people in shocking

Ha pasado un tiempo desde la última vez que visité su cafetería y decidí darle otra oportunidad. Me sirvieron bastante rápido y pedí un desayuno sin carne para uno. Sin embargo, esperé 30 minutos a que mi comida llegara tarde a mi programa de radio. No estabas exactamente ocupado y mi comida no estaba muy caliente cuando finalmente llegó. No había ningún gerente en el lugar para quejarme, así que tuve que recurrir a un asesor de viaje para que me escucharan. Estoy en dos mentes acerca de visitarte otra vez pronto.

Filthy cups on offer for your cup of tea in Morrisons castle Bromwich when I bought it to the attention of the cashier she wouldn’t acknowledge it and said the dishwasher wasn’t working well use some scourers then you are in a supermarket also loads of dirty plates left lying around not good enough

Fuimos a la cafetería el sábado para comer, pedimos pescado con patatas fritas y nos dijeron que no teníamos ninguno, de acuerdo, así que tendremos el gammon. . . . no tenemos ninguno, scampi. . . . no tengo ninguno, pastel y patatas fritas. . . no obtuve ninguno, eventualmente ordenó cazadores de pollo y papas fritas. Entonces luchamos por encontrar una mesa que no estuviera llena de platos y tazas sucios. Entonces me di cuenta de que la chica de la caja me había encargado las bebidas que deberían haber venido con la cena, así que le dije que acababa de abrir la caja y me dio 2. 60 de vuelta sin siquiera mirar la factura. Luego salió la cena, las papas eran de color marrón oscuro, como si hubieran sido recalentadas una docena de veces y el pollo estaba duro como una roca. Nunca volveré allí, un lugar sucio para comer y a cargo de personas incompetentes a las que realmente no les importa.

Apareció para tomar un desayuno con mi esposa y mi cuñada, y me sorprendió que me dijeran que sería una espera de 45 minutos para un desayuno cocinado, el café estaba quizás 1/4 a 1/3 lleno. Fuimos y encontramos una mesa, teniendo que elegir la menos pegajosa / sucia de las que miramos. Cuando la comida finalmente llegó, estaba bien, fritura típica. No tiene un buen precio. El personal era amable, mi conjetura es que el lugar es escaso de Morrisons (¡conjetura!).

Fuimos por simple, dos rondas de pan tostado

Mi marido y yo fuimos a desayunar y pedimos dos grandes desayunos. Hacía calor pero le faltaba sabor Huevos como el caucho, el tomate era insípido y en general no valía la pena el 12. 60 pagamos. El personal parecía miserable y parecía estar siguiendo "las mociones" del trabajo. Estaba bien, pero no tenía prisa por volver.

Food was not too bad. Bread and Butter pudding was delicious. HOWEVER, the waiting time was dreadfully long, well over half an hour. forgot about pudding had to be reminded. staff were pleasant. reasonably clean. Toilets too far away from café area, badly planned. prices not too bad.

Kids spag bol was freezing cold. Eggs Benedict is not Eggs Benedict it's hard boiled eggs on soggy muffins with cheese sauce! and the wait time stated was 25 mins. We waited 45 mins. Not good. Staff were pleasant though and store is clean.

Travelling from Somerset to the Arena in Birmingham we stopped off at Morrisons to eat. Knowing you get value for money at there Cafe`s. There were 3 of us I ordered the lamb shank my wife ordered the cheese omelette and my sister in law the gammon and egg.The omelette was very nice filled with cheese and my wife enjoyed it. My sister in law said the gammon was great unfortunately my shank was cold. I do not know but wherever I go lately the shank is not served piping hot. Guessing that they are micro waved I think they heat to what the packet says but it is not quite hot enough. However I must say the service was very good the value of the meal was good a meal and a drink for customers served after 3 for 6 pound is not bad. All in all you get what you pay for but in this instance I have paid more for not such a good meal. Enjoyed it once it came back piping hot

Love this place it's clean tidy wide isle s very smart & friendly staff fantastic choice of continental & English foods Good clothing area there is a chemists on site wonderful clean spacious restaurant very reasonable prices

Stopped in for breakfast, ordered the Big Breakfast when it arrived most items were over cooked and fried bread was inedible and poorly presented. Having eaten at other Morrison's cafes have had better.

Dios mío, honestamente puedo decir que éste es el peor desayuno que hemos tomado.

Llamamos para el desayuno los domingos para el desayuno el domingo por la mañana con los amigos. Nos alojamos en el Premier Inn Bilston donde el pub al lado desayuno puerta está alrededor de £9! ! !

Nos fuimos de compras, así que fuimos a comer el servicio era bueno, y el lugar estaba lleno, así que tuvimos que buscar asientos cuando la comida llegó tanto disfrutamos, lugar estaba limpio y ordenado, volveremos.

Lovely lady served us but truly the most greasy, inedible, rubbery food I have ever paid £5 for. Considered asking for a towel to mop up some of the grease.....

Have been in several times, more often that not it has been terrible, so have given up now. Staff are extremely rude unless you are a pensioner, as soon as they see you are younger their attitude changes. No customer service skills at all. One of the ladies went mad at me because I advised her there were no cups left for tea, her response was 'yeah we haven't washed any, use a paper one' Food has took ages on several occasions, my favourite excuse is 'the printer paper has ran out on the machine so the kitchen didn't receive the order' this one has been used several times. Also they take 20 mins to tell you they have ran out of tuna, no idea how they can run out considering the café is joined to a supermarket...Have also waited 25 mins for toast. Staff should be offered a course in how to speak to people properly. Losing a lot of customers as I work over the road and used to visit daily for 3 years

Waited for an hour for food, staff rushed off their feet and no manager had the decency to apologise for the wait, had our money back and went elsewhere!!

Arrived at 1145Long queue, the lady on the till obviously had not been trained Told a twenty five min waitIn a half empty cafe. We had breakfast here every morning while staying in the area. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. Food was always as ordered & piping hot , some mornings a little wait but didn't mind as food was always freshly cooked, super place for breakfast. Supermarket great also , toilet facilities were spotless .

We have visited this cafe before and as we enjoyed it, we decided on another breakfast visit. However, the wait for our quite straight forward breakfast order seemed to take an age. The cafe was busy but they really should have managed better in my view.However, the food and drinks were fine, especially the orange juice. The prices were good too. Just a small point but I noticed that they have taken away the "reserved for disabled" signs from the tables with moveable chairs and being disabled myself, I know how important these tables are. Why have they done it?

Want somewhere for a good breakfast ? Morrisons is probably the last place you would think ot but give it a try we did and were very pleasantly surprised.The breakfast was served quickly was piping hot and plentyi if it. the staff were very friendly and the place was clean. The food is consistent as we ate at a morrisons in Wales and was the same as here would definitely eat at a morrisons again and as there us one in most towns across the country makes it an ideal place to eat.

We have been going to morrisons cafe every weds evening for a while now and cannot fault the food or the staff. Carol and colleagues are always very helpful and friendly keeping the cafe clean and tidy.

Whether you go for breakfast or lunch it is always nicely presented and well worth the money. Lovely staff. Reasonably priced.

As food is freshly cooked, eating a meal here is not as swift as many supermarket cafes, worth waiting for as the standard of food is consistent. Not fine dining, maybe, but anjoyable enough.

Not the best place for a cafe.. right in the Battery Park retail centre and full of traffic. If you like being in the end of a supermarket looking at traffic then I'd say your going to be loving it. Bus spotters paradise.. I warned you..

My sister shops at morrisons most days.shes been in hospital last week, as shes disabled. A member of staff poped round to her house to see if she was o.k and needed any shoping. ...how veryvery kind .thank you x

I paid about £5.00 for a meal for myself and my son with a drink each after school. Can't complain at that price

Quick service clean eating area, and very friendly staff. Ask for what you want and they will try to help you all they can. Fish and chips are lovely with nice crispy batter.

Came here for breakfast before shopping and wasn't disappointed, the waiting time was a bit long but the staff were happy and friendly. the breakfast i had was lovely, well presented and cooked really well.

On Friday 4th September me and my wife and son visited morrisons on Coventry road by Birmingham football club in small heath. When my wife went to pay for the food the cashier was rude, she. Dropped the change didn't apologise for dropping it and my wife had to pick it up. We waited 30 minutes for our food and when it came it was cold and greasy and seemed like someone put it in oil without even trying to drain the oil. Very greasy the fish and chips and the jacket potato with beans and cheese was also very very poor. When I complained after the manager told me he was sorry but did not offer a refund Infact he Infact eluded to the fact that she wasn't racist. We didn't once mention anything in regards to race or colour or even suggested it or even hinted it. The manager even told us whereabouts the woman lived as well as where he lived. He told us that next time we come in to ask for him and he would provide some cakes. You keep your cakes because we ain't coming back, awful store, awful service, awful manager. Now I want to say that I regularly go to morrisons but I use the one in Sheldon also on Coventry road. But this morrisons has excellent food, excellent service and its much more pleasing to visit. Be warned.

Myself and my partner attended the cafe yesterday for breakfast before work. There was a queue which didn't seem to be moving anywhere, (only one person serving). One of the hot drinks machine was out of order which really slowed down the service as well, (also the cups available were stained and most were dirty). When we finally got to the till the woman that served us was rude and slow and got our order totally wrong, the till froze and she had to process our orders separately. One member of the kitchen came to our table after ten minutes to ask what our order was as it hadn't printed our correctly. They had no receipt for my order so she had to take that one again, when our food did come out it was missing some components but staff apologised and resolved the matter very quickly, the food was lovely, its just the woman who served us let you down. Please put people on tills that dont hate their job!

Good value, good choice, can get very busy but that tells you how popular it is. Plenty of breakfast options, good choice of samdwiches, cakes and drinks. Always clean.

We stopped here enroute from the south east to the north west and found it to be a great little place to stop. Their big breakfast was well cooked, delicious and excellent value. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended! It was so good that we also stopped off there on our return journey.

Likes - waitress very friendly and apologetic when food was slowFood is ok as you expect from average canteen food - nothing special, price reasonable as you expect .We went on a sunday lunch and it was fairly busy.Good light and airy with huge windows can overlook the hagley , not exactly scenic view, but it was light and airy

Nothing to dislike for a supermarket cafe and much better food than some so called 'restaurants'. Selection is great for a quick bite to eat. Their bacon (and my favourite black pudding) sarnie or roll (buttered is best) is DELICIOUS!!! As is their Fish, chips and mushy peas. Mmmmm mmm yummy. All served at this smaller of Morrisons locations with a great attitude and sunny smiles. Can't fault them and can only compliment them on the excellent service they provide.
