Morrisons Cafe in Thurrock

This place has always had a bad rep, but the staff and management have really turned this place around. The food is so much better and fresh and they do a huge range of food in the café. There is lots of seating and its a nice place to just chill and have a bite to eat. Staff are really helpful and friendly and you get some great deals of meals

Update on this cafe 2023. I found the ladies here very pleasant. This time we went in for lunch. My wife had a hot meal, Small lasagne, garlic bread and small side salad, just right for her. Not too big. I had a Cheese & Ham Toastie, as we're not that hungry, 2 cups of tea, all food cooked hot and delicious. Well done ladies, as before, I'll be back 👏

Eat here regularly, always found very nice food at very reasonable price. I like there breakfasts the best. Well done girls.

I had breakfast here whilst working in Grays and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The eggs were perfect, the fried bread was fantastic and everything else very nice. They also have a Barista Bar as well as the traditional cafe and the coffee in both was very good and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit for the quality and the price.

OK - I don't really like people that slate somewhere and also, if you want a decent breakfast, don't go to a Morrisons but we were stuck and starving! Anyway, three of us went for a breakfast on Saturday - got all the extras etc.....nice little novel way of ordering, which our 9 year old loved doing. However, the food was really, really unpleasant! I would say though....nice toast and quite like the doing your own drink but then, quite pricey for what it is.

Have eaten breakfast here on several occasions and have to say the quality and price is outstanding. Reasonably priced and cooked really well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a well cooked well presented meal.Have had breakfast in other stores and this was the best

The Barista bar has just given me the sadest Latte Ive ever had the misfortune to order. A fraction of the cost of Costa coffe but for very good reason. I wont be returning and do not reccomend.

Had breakfast here and was pleasantly surprised, was lovely. So cheap and food came out quickly. Lady on the till was a but grumpy and short, but for the price, speed and tastyness I didn't mind at all. I had the sample breakfast and fought the protein was just right! My husband had the veggie breakie and said that was nice too! We will definitely come back!

Easy quick food for anyone out doing there shopping.......in-store cafe...quite helpful but bit slow clearing tables

I have to say that I am a fan of Morrisons breakfasts, particularly their Small Breakfast (previously called Little Breakfast), and today at their Grays store cafe it was simply superb and incredible value. If you've never eaten in a Morrisons cafe, you are missing out, so give it a go; you won't be disappointed.

the atmosphere is like no other, a bustling and thriving environment complete with the scanners of the tills behind the cafe. The service is very quick, even for a microwave meal, and the lids are too small for the cups which makes you spill fanta all over your hand. this would be a bad thing but it gives you great grip on anything else as it is so sticky. great consideration from them.

This chicken tikka mo salah was honestly out of this world a scrumptious meal at a reasonably cheap cost, my one issue was the paper straw that is supplied alongside your beverage if you select at soft drink which caused extreme discomfort in my mouth region however im all for saving the environment, UP THE BREXIT! Am i right? Course i am! i also found the atmosphere very up beat surrounded by all the old folk of the local area sharing 14 teeth between them, made me felt at home, as my knee cap is sufferering from tuberculosis. RIP. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, anyways who wants a cuddle? i want you, yes you, oi come back tony. woof.

Staff very unhelpful, hot drinks machine rubbish, food terrible. It was a lovely cafe when Morrison’s first opened but the food and service is now awful

We went into Morrisons for lunch and we ordered chicken Caesar salad and coffee while we were waiting in the queue people were complaining about how dirty the cups were about a dozen were in the rack where filthy so a lady complained and the staff said they were short staffed and we would have to wait. After 10 minutes we are still in the queue and had now got our clean cups. We went to make our coffee from a machine only one was working and on the rack was a cleaning tablet that had been left. Once our salads arrived it was shocking it consisted of green leaves a couple of bits of tomato and some diced cucumber and the chicken was completely hard on the top and looked liked it has been boiled and kept warm. The Caesar dressing was slimy we took one bite of the chicken and it was disgusting. We took the meals back and the manager said sorry we are short staffed so I said that shouldn’t affect the standard of food he then gave us our money back, there were other people asking for their money back as well. We will not eat there again

We'd been shopping and it was one of those day, so we sat down relaxed and had a quick snack, just a sandwich and a cup of tea and coffee, but very nice all the same, we'll be back

Called in for a sandwich and a coffee,, yeah ok!! Nothing special, didn't have a great selection of sandwiches, but chose a beef, coffee was okay, nothing to write home about

Nice place before or after shopping you can take a relax time . Very nice for the breakfast time. Good place.

The staff are nice but the service is very slow and the food is not great but not bad either it a bit like going back in time it has a 1980s feel for some reason

The food here is basic but done well. Full English breakfast (Big Breakfast) is prepared in a very reasonable timescale, seems fresh and staff are all pleasant.

This is the second time we have been here for breakfast, and every time we have had to return our breakfast, because the bacon is cold, but apart from that price is ok,

Nice choice of food and the new look cafe is very up-to-date and gives quite good value. Can be a bit confusing getting your drinks but if used enough becoomes easy.

Nice restaurant and good service. There are plenty of tables. The menu has something for everyone from full meals to light snacks. Food was nice for price, the onion rings and chips could have been a little more crisp. The toilet facilities in this Morrisons was not great but meal was sufficient.

People are really friendly and the manager is really helpful all the time, great seeing managers in there helping out and the food is great

Kids Meal:- 'Spag Bol' Tasteless & watery & NOT good value for money. Drink option: orange or apple juice carton. POOR Piece of fruit Main courses: Small Waiting time long. Definitely NOT worth the wait! DISSAPPOINTED
