Morrisons Cafe in Tameside

The cafe is obviously having an issue with their coffee machine & whilst I’m sympathetic to the fact that this presents challenges for the staff there is no excuse for the uncleanliness of the area. In my 2nd pic below you’ll see several kitchen rolls placed underneath the area to soak up a leak that needs addressing & I honestly feel that currently the coffee area of this cafe should be closed until it’s clean & fully functional. I gave the situation the benefit of the doubt & tried my half cup of coffee, which is all the machine gave me & as predicted the coffee was sadly un drinkable. Please address this before someone becomes unwell.

If you have an hour or more to wait you will be ok, the service is appalling, they are so slow at getting food out even when there is just a few in the cafe

The service here is truly shocking. Tables are left dirty, there’s no one at the till, food takes a long time to come and meals are served missing items. The staff, in particular the males, are extremely rude and careless. Worst café experience I’ve had. Will not be returning.

Not been in here for breakfast in years and well was well below what I was expecting. Didn't have mushrooms although a supermarket full of them. The ordering system been made incredibly hard using self service only. Food was of poor quality and lacked taste. I'd definitely try other places before going here.

Ordered £20 worth of food they only dilvered the cheaper items we orded like the chips and coleslaw, really poor when i was meant to be getting chicken burger meal and full English how do you miss all of that

Drinks machine broke again but at least there was someone serving this time

Called in to morrisons denton today lovely store till I got to the cafe the tables were sticky and dirty with bits of food left on them. I watched the young man put clean cutlery in to dirty cutlery trays there was no knives I asked the man for some knives he said I sort it in a minute and went back to the till serving people. Won't be coming back. Dirty and rude.

The food was good and tasty after it took over 30 minutes for the food to be served

Ordered poached eggs on toast eggs were hard and could of been used as erasers, took them back sat over 20 mins for new ones, and well the bacon , over cooked and left to long under the heat lamp it had dried out to the point of no return just like the fried bread .. and ordered a extra portion of mushrooms. Well 85p for 1 single mushroom that tasted like it was been boiled, the one star is for the young girl behind the till

So it was clean, hence the two stars. Everything else was poor. Sat for 35 minutes after ordering off the app. Spoke to one of the staff clearing tables and was told they were waiting for two eggs to boil! 3 minutes will do thanks! Ordered 2 plates of toast at 85p a slice, had to get our own butter, we only got one plate of toast? No sauce. No cutlery. No coffee. No actual service. Not sure why I went in in the first place. Won't go in again. Bit rubbish really. 😐

My young son and I went for breakfast this morning. Had the full English with extra toast teas and coffee. Was clean. Staff friendly. Food was beautiful and hot and a short wait time. My son is a fussy eater but loves there toast and sausages. Set us up for the day

had the large breakfast the only thing warm was the sausage the drinks machine had to be refiled even then they were cold considering its a food chain i thought temp checks had to be monitored this is not being done the eggs were not nice we had a poached egg witch was more like a hard boiled egg the one star was for the waitress as she was pleasant the only thing good about it normally Morrison café are good but not the Denton one very poor food awful wouldn't recommend it

No kniives. No sugar sachets. Messy drinks area. Ordered fish goujons chips n peas and when it came without peas i was told they had no peas..!!! We were in morrisons so why no peas?? Really bad. No happy faces. Whats going on Morrisons??

Truly a terrible meal. Chips with both dishes had clearly been cooked a long time before and kept warm, absolutely dry and tasteless. Could not eat more than a few. Cheeseburger didn't come with the dressing stated on the menu apart from the cheese, which was very mature cheese and had to be taken off. The burger itself was tough as anything. Other dish was fish and chips, fish being the only redeeming item and the only thing that was eaten. Don't waste your money like we did.

Will not be returning even if it’s the last place on earth. Staff bare face lied about having any proper coffee mugs instead of paper cups simply because they could not be bothered to clean them. No napkins, no sauce, toast was bread not toast. Overall appalling experience. Get yourself to Greggs for a sausage roll instead.

At the moment the Morrison’s cafe in Denton is not the best that it could be. It has great potential here however it does feel almost too bland and basic and although it is a rather large cafe it simply lacks personality. The staff are trying their hardest however the service did not seem the most COVID safest when the cafe was aloud to be open for sitting in. Somewhat good food for a Morrison’s cafe and I will still visit here

We enjoyed our toasted sandwiches and hot drinks earlier this afternoon. However, there were very few clean tables, dirty trays and very little cutlery.

It's okay foods not to bad, it's not the cheapest by any means. It's clean and the staff OK.

Called in the cafe 9:50am Saturday 25th January 2020, there was only two tables waiting to be served food as I sat down. Over the next 30 minutes the cafe got a bit fuller. Many of the customers who came after me got served their food. By 10:25am I had to get the store manager as I was totally disgusted that I had not received my breakfast. The manager eventually sorted out the issue and it was explained to me that the number 1 table number that I was issued does not register on the system so I had been overlooked. What a joke, would you not have removed the number then it couldn't be issued? If you go to the Denton Morrisons, be prepared for a long wait or perhaps take a book to read.

Excellent breakfast but service and quality can drop in busy periods so get here in first hour of opening.

The breakfast is consistently good and reasonably priced. Had a macaroni cheese recently which I can not recommend sadly. Stick to the breakfast menu and you'll be alright.

My fish chips and peas were just warm after waiting 20min .would not use them again

Nice food but is let down by dirty cluttered tables. High chairs (especially the straps) are disgusting. Always seems to be one poor bloke running round on his own. Never see any tables wiped. Every time I come here I bring wipes as I always have to clean the table myself

Very long wait times on food. Even in non busy periods. Great toast though!

Staff are lovely food is nice for the price.

Ordered the "Big Daddy" breakfast at £6.00 for myself and my wife. We both had a hot chocolate which was hot but lacked in the chocolate stakes..When the food arrived it was immediately evident that there was a lot of produce on the plate, the only problem was the plate was way too small and half the food was hidden but the main problem was that it was tepid at best. You only had to look at the baked beans that had a skin forming, the two fried eggs had just been dropped on top . The fried bread broke into little pieces when cut and the potato hash browns were horrible. My one star is for the sausage. Never again.

Generally enjoy the build your breakfasts quite tasty only thing that lets the cafe down is the tables arnt cleaned quickly enough.

Never any food as they run out... run out of knifes, forks and spoons, the cold drinks machine wasn't working and then the hot chocolate machine didn't work. But the food was nice and hot.

Most Morrison's cafes are good hot fast service unfortunately let down a couple of times in our local one

I had a big breakfast and it was lovely

New automated ordering system an absolute pain rather go to the greasy spoon round the corner.

New ordering systems in the cafe are very good but quite a number of customers wouldn't be able to use it.

Just had a coffee while waiting for phone call. Luke warm, tasteless coffee and employees with vacant stares who look like they wish they were somewhere else. 😏

Food awful won't be going again

Cappuccino is a bit too cool for my liking as was the all day breakfast. Warm it up a bit guys! 😀

Totally understaffed. The poor staff were running about trying to do everything. Tables left dirty and full of plates (lazy customers not putting them away). The food is alright though.

Very good shop every day and the only downfall is the bakery there is never anybody there to slice your bread each time you have to go and find someone or wait I have waited each time for at least 10 /15 minutes for someone to come

A reasonable range of food that's sold competitively. It's not high quality butis reasonable food at reasonable prices. Worth visiting for breakfast.

Horrible shelves on bread aisle was empty went in cafe and waited over half hour shop floor staff was helping out. Need more cafe staff .-☆

The food is cheap and cheerful. Plenty of options from breakfasts to lunch and also tea. If you order something for the kids and order a meal after 4 they get the kids meal for free. They also have cakes and sandwiches available as well. There can be a bit of delay in ordering or waiting for your order. Part from that the service is pretty good and the staff are really good aswell.

SCRAMBLED EGGS On granary toast, topped with wilted spinach, plum tomatoes and pine nuts... Not a breakfast you would expect in a Superstore. It was freshly made and delicious...👍

20 mins wait for 2 flying starts, which is now 2 seriously over cooked dried up sausages, 2 peices of teeth breaking bacon and a shrivelled up crispy egg.. Still it was hot, which is only a slight improvement over their dinners.. That was your last chance sorry

Half of the things on the menu they don't actually do or say they haven't the stuff to make it. Really basic things, and what's more, the cafe is located inside a supermarket. Seriously. I had to order 3 times -.-

Always good value for money, the staff are friendly and efficient. My elderly dad loves having a cooked lunch every week

Went to Morrisons cafe today with my family everything we asked for food wise they didn't have and that is not the first it has happened no wonder the cafe was empty, they need to get there act together and make sure they are well stocked our I can see the cafe closing all together, also when I go in which is quite often the coffee machine are either broke or empty so the management need to get on top of all this Monday. 18062018

Very friendly staff. Lovely food.

Freshly cooked food and good choices. The kids spaghetti bolognese is apparently good. The cheese burger was less impressive but disappeared all the same. The kids fruit option wasn't great but we were quite late for lunchtime.

Sorry...but again..2nd visit no fish! And the hunters chicken I had was a bit of hard chicken with a slapped bacon slice on melted cheese and BBQ bottled sauce... very poor!
