Waited at the counter a while to be served. Friendly enough assistant. Ordered a cheese toastie, 2 bacon & 2 poached eggs, a tea and a coffee. Just short of £14 Had to ask for cups because there were none to use. Cutlery most of it was dirty. Toastie was soggy and bland. Eggs were rock hard and bacon cold and undercooked. Brew was ok. Terrible value for money and also makes you feel a bit queasy when cutlery, cups etc are full of dried on food, stains etc

Not as bad as the reviews lead you to believe. Our food was lovely, staff were pleasant. They had minor issues with the app allowing us to order items they didn’t stock, but they provided alternatives. Service was a little slow, but when the food did arrive it was fresh, hot and tasty. Would recommend.

I decided to visit Morrison's cafe this morning as my kitchen is upside down. I ordered avocado on toast with 2 poached eggs. When it arrived the strangest shaped eggs were balanced on my toast. I cut into them to find they were hard boiled certainly not poached. I asked the lady at the counter, who then told me they were sent in in pouches and basically it was down to pot luck if they turned out right. Not only were the eggs rock hard and rubbery, but the thought that we are being given eggs that are cracked open in a pouch ready to be cooked is beyond me. How long has the egg been sat in that waiting to be cooked. What should have been a healthy meal was ruined for me. I won't be returning.

Worst breakfast ever, food cold and nor cooked properly, half tomato raw and not even warm, never seen a frying pan or grill. Always used to be good cafe. Needs vast improvement. Very dissapointed. Always shop at Morrisons, but not for breakfast anymore.

I have regularly used this supermarket café for a long time and to be honest, over that time it has always delivered good service and good food. This began to slip about twelve months ago and I have noticed a rapid deterioration of both service and food since then. The current crop of Staff in this café are bereft of the concept of customer-focused service. They often leave the order counter unattended for an age - even at the peak of lunch service - and when they do honour you with their presence, they are rude, unfriendly and inattentive. Cutlery is now often grubby, as are the tables. They ask you to remove your own finished plates, which I do not mind, but there is often nowhere to actually put the plates. It's so obvious that it beggars belief. The final straw - the Food! It has deteriorated in quality and portion size at the same time as increasing in price. Yesterday, I ordered Fish & Chips. Previously, this would have been a nicely-cooked portion of fish, with reasonable chips and peas. Not so now. What I received was a half-sized portion of insipid-looking deep-fried frozen fish. It wasn't even fish-shaped and so I suspect it wasn't a proper fillet. When I pressed the fish with my knife, water came out and the fish actually turned to mush. It was appalling and absolutely tasteless. The chips were also undercooked. The beans were the only thing that were as they should be, except there was only a small spoonful of them. So, Morrisons as a retailer of fresh fish and potatoes and other food items are you not able to provide your cafes with quality ingredients to make meals with? As a retailer who regularly seeks feedback from its customers, how do you not know that this cafe has hit rock-bottom in terms of quality of food and customer-service? You have certainly lost my custom for good. I will not be parting with any more of my hard-earned money in there

Stopped here after a long tiresome journey up the car park that is now the M6. While my wife went to order I went to use the facilities. Which sadly were an absolute disgrace, as was the rest of the restaurant, so much so I about turned without using them and told my wife not to order. Toilet hadn’t been flushed, someone had deliberately planted an excrement on top of a mass of toilet paper and there was some on the floor!! Staff hadn’t bothered to check, nor had they bothered to clean the restaurant as tables and the floors were covered in discarded wrappers and uneaten food. I asked to speak to a manager and someone appeared who I presumed was eight and shrugged her useless shoulders when I explained how filthy the place was. Her and the rest of the staff looked as if they’d one brain cell between them. Absolutely disgusting filthy establishment. Next call with be to environmental services.

Unfortunately I've had to change my review. Ordered takeaway tonight from Cousins and it was not enjoyable at all. Chicken was awful and sauce seemed off (taste and smell) Massive let down as this used to be a lovely takeaway. £30 on food that was gross!

Visited today with my husband for a browse around the garden centre and lunch in the cafe. We have said never again! The garden centre is nice with a nice selection of gifts and obviously home/garden ware, but the cafe was absolutely disgraceful! First impressions are that the cafe looks very run down. Empty display cabinets, and even though it was 1.30pm so peak lunch time, it wasn't busy at all. We took a seat in a booth and noticed the seats were all ripped. Dirty floors full of crumbs and food and dirty, uncleared tables everywhere. Flies hanging around and crawling over the tables. We had to clear a table ourselves to get somewhere to sit. I sat down and found a squashed chip stuck to my shoe. We should have just walked out there and then. There was a sign saying hot food wasn't available today for some reason, so I ended up selecting a cherry scone that looked like it had seen better days. We ordered two lattes that tasted burnt and strong. Overall, a terrible experience and we definitely won't be returning. I suspect Dobbies at Preston will be closing soon, as I know they have closed other stores in the North West, so they have not spent any money on the cafe and they are running on skeleton staff.
