Morrisons Blyth Cafe in Northumberland

Not a massive Morrisons store but big enough for my needs, staff are very nice and always willing to help.

Great shop, good prices, great loyalty card but fed up.of restocking filling and blocking aisles and blocking access to products, happens alot

A thieves paradise security poor staff miserable apart from a few self checkout a waste of time have to call staff everytime its used

Went too cafe. And was just waiting to be served. But staff more interested in talking just walked out.. Couldn't wait for them lazy basterds to serve

I rarely shop here as there seems to be a smell & it is dark and dreary inside. It puts me off buying fresh food. Some of the staff are pretty unfriendly too.

Was in Morrisons Blyth this morning (20/02/25). Did not have a More card for an offer I had in my basket at the self service tills. I asked the female staff member for help. She went above and beyond and helped me. I will certainly be back due to that level of service.

I went to the Killingworth Morrisons and oh what a let down. Bananas were very rip in some cases they had turned black. the cabbage looked like someone had thrown an acid as they were very wilted and nearly dead but it was the cauliflowers that was the most shocking thing I have seen at a Morrisons. they were black in places mould was on them and the green leaves were shabby and looked old both cabbage and cauliflower were starting to smell. There was no way I would spend money on something like that .but the most upsetting was the meat section . the chicken breast looked grey and they were leaking some nasty liquid from them as well . the liquid was thick and tacky and slimy. something has seriously gone wrong and its a shame as you had an excellent reputation. I would not be going back.

This shop is getting worse, no small trollies again! A lack of food too, that's it not shopping here no more!

Been tonight around 5:15 and as soon as I walked in with a pram there was another lady infront with a pram the staff member (looked the age to be an old lady had grey short hair)behind the lady proceeded to say for god sake as she was trying to get passed this is rude ! Then put her hands out if you don’t like your job leave you’re old enough to !!

It’s an ok store but the cafe staff really need some assistance as there getting the customers but struggle to keep up with cleaning cutlery and keeping coffee machines running and the store is well overdue a refit as that’s what I do for a living I notice these things.

Place is nice for shopping. Note: NEVER EAT THERE THE FOOD IS AWFUL

I love Morrisons fresh fruit and vegetables stay fresh for days. Their prepared meals are also really nice and not too bad price wise. The staff are all so helpful and pleasant too. There is also a big car park to use when shopping in morrisons.

Me and my daughter went for a breakfast and it was absolutely disgusting!! Everything was either overcooked or burnt and it was swimming in grease. The coffee mug and cutlery was dirty and I had to ask for a clean set. Absolutely disgraceful 🤢🤢🤢

Quick, easy and painless, they know how to reduce stuff too. Good general selection of products, more than easy to make it a one stop shop.

Morrisons Blyth. This shop is not the same quality as North Shields or Killingworth. You're lucky to find what you're after. The butchery staff are very helpful as are the bakery staff I only go to Morrisons Blyth when I've tried elsewhere first

Things have really gone downhill! Waited ten minutes for a member of staff to turn up to open the security doors along with three other people to buy spirits.. poor lady on the tills was desperate for a wee! I went ..which I didn't mind doing getting loo roll down from stock shelves for a couple of pensioners as the shelves hadn't been stocked..

Cold in store temperature when stopping for a meal. Prices match some of the up market city stores ,Some of the new German retailers have something more.!

Went in cafe today never again no clean tables had to ask for a cloth to wipe one down, cutlery was filthy no milk in container no tea cups no tea plates had to put cake on piece of kitchen roll waited ages for our toasties then got them both on one pasta bowl because they had no clean plates. After eating our half toasted toastie and cake with our fingers people were being told the same no clean plates need reported to food hygiene disgusting will never be back send staff to morpeth branch they'll show them how to run a cafe

Staff always pleasant and professional and very helpful there is always something on the top shelf that you can't reach. Very friendly checkout cath is always professional and friendly excellent service.

As soon as I stepped in the Blyth store today I heard deli counter staff swearing about some grievance or other. The store was filthy, the selves virtually empty with many basic items out of stock. There were several crates of tinned products piled high to the rear of the store. One assistant was attempting to mop up the filthy floor - at a snails pace. The whole experience was just awful & dowdy. When I asked for if there was a manager on duty I was told “you’ll have to go ask over there” instead of seeking out one herself. This compared to the Cullercoats branch is like chalk & cheese. The place needs closing for a total refurb & staff training.

This is my local supermarket and it's generally well stocked. Good selection of meat and fish. Fruit and veg not always as fresh as it could be.

Saturday morning , not a single trolly on site , do they want you to shop here ?

Lasses on the tills and kiosk sales always nice, friendly, and helpful. Never get that underlying feel of being rushed like the other shops - especially aldi and lidl. Things pretty much as normal. Stock availability generally good. Prices seem a bit unstable, up and down but overall probably a bit less expensive than in the past when compared to other shops prices

Clean and well stocked. Plenty of tills so no checking out problems.

Awful store and miserable staff. The Cafe closes before there closing times and responded abruptly and rudely when asked what time are your hours.

Best morrisons in the area, wide variety. Particularly enjoy the bakery huge selection of fresh desserts and bread

Can I just say the 2 guys who work in the butchers department are fantastic and such an asset to your company. Unfortunately, I did not take their names, but one was working yesterday 21st March, about 5.30ish, and the other one today at 12.30ish. They went over and beyond so my husband could have King Ribs for his tea tonight!! Thankyou😁

The fat specky man at the self scan machines is so rude he told me in a disrespectful way telling me to move stuff he could easily move himself and gave side eye. SORT YOUR STAFF OUT

I love morrinson in Blyth I do a monthly shop the staff are brilliant helpful the cafe is excellent there took cheese chips of the menue I brought the Chese they stil put on my chips coffee is great staff are friendly excellent customer service in store and the cafe never uses any other food stores products and prices are reusable love it I know staff by name I should have shares in the store morrinson other customers think I work there wish I did

Out of date meat by 2 days. More concerned about removing all the small trolleys. Expected better 😔 pizza counter staff is awesome

Always decent, love market street

A fantastically well stocked shop in the town centre, with great parking and trolleys. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The tuned foods are cheap and the fruit and veg is fresh every day. It has everything you would expect from a supermarket l, but I am impressed that such a larch shop is in a town centre and still so easy to access.

Absolutely zero respect shown to customers at the minimal open checkouts. Assistants too busy nattering to customers whom they know. I get to my turn, assistant turns into a tornado and my goods are all crushed into a pile at the end of the conveyor belt. Disgusting.

So many scummy things on sale many of which you don't get elsewhere. Morrisons really does have a market feel unlike other supermarkets except maybe Booths. I intent to use this store more often. A very good Morrisons. Great section even at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Very helpful staff.

Well stocked shelves and plenty of parking

It's a bit greasy and doesn't have the same floor as other Morrisons. Feels dark with the grey 'cement' floor and always has a greasy feel.

Can't help to notice how their prices are rising much faster than their competitors ? Latest I've seen, Warburtons medium sliced loaf £1.20 , asda £1.05 and others even cheaper . Having a laugh.

Tables aren’t cleared for ages after customers have left. Had to ask for our table to be cleaned. Floor covered in bits of food. General appearance of cafe is scruffy. Long wait for food.

Smells like sewarge, over the top security had ne waiting ages due to the reciept not printing corectly.

Absolutely terrible ordered two ham and cheese toasties and chips the girl who took the order also worked the till collected all the dirty dishes cleaned the tables and also gave out the meals through no fault her own when the meal came the chips were cold and the toasties the duty manager apologised as it was because of illness absentees and their were plenty of workers in the stores no excuses Morrisons not good enough and we won't be back

Empty shelves and under staffed

The staff are friendly enough, absolutely no complaints about them. The fridges are not right. Loads of things are dripping wet, regularly. This is a food hygiene concern when buying meat and veg on the same shop. I got a The Best pizza from the fresh section and the bottom edge of it was soaking. It didn't cook evenly because of this. Nobody wants to pay £5.75 for a cook at home pizza which is flaccid.

Pleasant, helpful staff. Good fish counter and good butcher. I also like their ready food counter.

Overall morrisons is very expensive. Some meat products way over priced aswell for the quality. Morrisons savers products are OK but the quality isn't there for some of the prices.

Every time I've visited this store recently there have been only self service tills. Don't like like them and won't use them.

Quite good for shopping large fish section and bakery very fresh bread buns.

Lovely supermarket with brilliant salad bar and hot roasted chicken counter which made the perfect picnic for a stint on Blyth Beach. Really well stocked!!

We went today and we had a nice poached egg the items I bought weren't badly priced as I always use morrisons for my shopping I love it.

Good for a little shopping but a bit more expensive than most however it's the only supermarket in Blyth town centre. The café is cheap and cheerful.

Though I would go here for breakfast. What a massive mistake. I had to ask for the cutlery to be washed. The answer I got was I wasn't in kast night. But she did take away all the cutlery and washed it all. By that time I started to feed my baby his breakfast , when mine turned up. I tend to test the temperature of the food , Before I eat. Just as well as I did the hash browns were cold the bacon and sausages and a large mushrooms. The only this that we're warm was the plate and the bowl with beans in. I told the member of staff that didn't seem to happy said she would do it all again. I said fair enough. When I got it back it still came back cold. I got 1 mushroom less , under cooked bacon half cooked fried egg cold burnt-out sausages. And the gave me the same hash browns. How do I know I put 2 cuts on the corners. The toast was lukewarm. I finished feeding my little baby. And left all of the so called breakfast. Very very very disappointed. It used to be a great little cafe. Need new catering staff especially a cook. But the products were the cheapest.

This is not my usual shopping place , as I was visiting my elderly mother i thought it best to use her usual place just to make it easier for her to find stuff. We parked in the usual spot ,near the entrance. I always get a trolley for my mum to use as a walking aid whilst inside the store. Unfortunately there were non in sight, I looked in the usual place (just by the entry/ exit doors) but as its spring time ,it had been taken over by the bags of compost and other garden stuff. 🤨 No signs were in place to inform customers where to get a trolley from and there were non anywhere near the entry or exit on either side. I spotted a member of Staff arranging stuff within the entry/exit area, I asked the lady where the trolleys were, she replied with (after a qwik look round by the doors) "sorry I don't usually work in this branch, so ill go ask someone else for you." I thanked her nicely but processed to have a better look round myself, as its not usually a hard thing to find at such a large branch (blyth Northumberland). All I could see, (50meters away)was the place in the car park that's used for customers to leave there trolleys after they have finished with them. Thats wen I could just make out a sign on the side of the covered trolley park stating "please collect and leave your trolleys here". As I was telling mum to wait there while I go and get 1, the staff member came back and pointed the the trolley park down the car park. I wasn't impressed by the fact that customers had to go looking for trolleys down in the car park area, (that has no designated walking area). It wasn't helpful to me or my mother, nevermind if you had small children with you. It is a dangerous oversight by the management to have no trolley facilities near to the entrance/exit. There is an accident waiting to happen between cars and pedestrians retrieving a trolley. God forbid it may even involve small children aswell as the elderly . After all, customers health and safety in and around the site should be paramount .

Food bit expensive Cafe not much choice for vegetarians

An alright Morrisons, in and out to pick up a few things without any bother.

This is a big store with a large range, but they never seem to have what I go for on the shelves. Ideal for anything up to a full weekly shop. Well set out, well managed and helpful friendly staff. Prices are good and it has a massive car park making it very convenient. Also close to town centre shops.

Restaurant was filthy, service was appalling, staff uniforms were dirty and they weren't at all helpful in any way. You obviously don't require any customer service relation skills to be employed there. We couldn't comment on the shop as the state of the cafe put us off shopping.

The store is always Smelly the toilets are dirty it takes ages to get survived at the hot food counter they just leve you there waiting in all not a good shop maybe it's time for a total make over iv been to other Morris ons and there much better just because it's blyth you don't have to let it go this bad
