as the toastMushroom 🍄 was watery. Sausages cheap tea was lukewarm coffee cold .Best part was the Toast. Awful Breakfast

Waited 45 minutes to be served with a cold breakfast, uncooked mushrooms and sausage which was undercooked. Only food which was warm was the fried egg. £14.52 waste of money.

No regard to food standards, contamination between squid and my fish fillets and when I asked him to wear gloves or some bag protection to avoid scales I was replied back with shall a wipe my arse at the same time. Wow just wow.. overpriced and rude.

Good value for money very good food excellent price a little noisy but with young children that was fine the food was hot and served can’t really complain for them for the money we paid we got really good food but I’m sort of happy

Told straight away it would be 35 mins for any hot food, in a tone that suggested they would prefer I didn’t order something hot. No cutlery in the cutlery rack, no salt. Lots of tables with leftover food on, which weren’t cleaned up the duration of my visit. Counted 11 tables with leftover trays on from where I sat. Understaffed by the looks of it. Food poor when it did come. Not happy.

It's hard to be at a Morrisons breakfast but when the small breakfast has something missing it's disappointing.

Came in to order my breakfast on the self service screen and while I was ordering someone sat at my table number, I then walked up to the lady at the till to let her know we were at table 5 instead of two now. She rudely responded with ‘and’. Then proceeded to tell no one about our table move resulting in us waiting a long time for it and one of the kind men that work there came over and told us we had not told them when in fact we had. He was so kind and apologised and offered us a free drink. But safe to say I’ve never been treated so horrible by a staff member in a cafe before. The food didn’t even make up for it as the bacon was undercooked and had been sat for ages.

This is a review of the Livingston Morrison. I recommended Morrison’s supermarket to my daughter who’s regular weekly spend is around £180/£200 . She popped in this evening to check it out and picked up a few items to get the feel of the place. Unfortunately she didn’t realise she had gone to the checkout for 10 items or less. The checkout operator watched her unloading 14 items (2 of which were bunches of flowers for me!) and then refused to serve her and by all accounts wasn’t pleasant about it and caused my daughter great embarrassment. She had to load all of the items back into her basket and go to a self serve. In that time, the woman at the checkout didn’t serve a soul and as all of us who are regulars know, they’re on a cushy number as hardly anyone in the evening has less than 10 items so they’re sitting twiddling their thumbs! Needless to say they have failed to gain a new customer (my daughter is sticking With Asda) plus they have lost one - me!!! Shame on that member of staff!!!

Have visited this restaurant 3 times in a week to have their scampi and chips and mushy peas which are half price at the moment.Normaly £4.50 but at the moment half price Every day of the week till end of August.Has been excellent every time.Staff are so helpful and so clean and tidy.Well done Morrisons!

Thought we’d give the cafe a try after a few years away. Cafe hasn’t changed the food is disgusting to cook bacon fresh takes a few mins to offer what I had on the plate is the worst I have ever saw. Cooked bacon then stuck in a deep fat fryer to heat it up is just a joke. The place should be shut down the food is so disgusting.

Anyone out shopping at morrison or passing bye and looking for some where there cafe is realy good stafe great friendly helpfull hot food as well as cold are real good and great value they allso do an offer after think its5 pm kids eat free with an aduilt menus there for you to see there offer on it i defo will keep going there

I wish we didnt set foot in this cafe,we ordered my partner fried egg on toast.I ordered poached egg on toast he got hot choclate and i got bottle water.we drank our drinks but no sign of food after 25 minutes.seeing people after us being served.went up to say 10 min after food arrived his was luke warm mines was stone cold and hard boiled.the waitress said it was late as thought both wanted brown bread.took mines back thinking just to make another and be straight out 20 minutes later still the same got our money back.would never come back to this cafe again.

It’s your usual supermarket cafe. Cheap and cheerful, no better , no worse than any other. Same menu , prices as any other Morrison’s cafe

Have breakfast here every Saturday morning before shopping always find food good normally a quick service but sometimes if busy it's a bit slower

Well was amazingly surprised at the quality of the breakfast and the quantity and the price . Great value for money . Must say the self order system we feel is so impersonal and would prefer face go face ordering . When I read a review saying they couldn’t get the order right and then thought well you select it yourself so who??? Can’t get the order right ? Yes we felt the lady who served it when asked if they were on trip advisor didn’t know and didn’t seem interested ... then came back later and asked if everything was okay and the answer was 4 yes’ even although there were only two of us . The young lad who said it was his first job was so helpful in telling us about TripAdvisor and Morrison’s are listening and so deserves a mention and he so wanted us to leave with a positive impression and so we did . The first day we had the large breakfast and so tasty and yet toast was an added extra . The second day we had the smaller £3.75 breakfast and it was just right like the three bears . We got toast albeit it payable but the Lorne sausage was tasty and perfectly cooked and the fried egg lovely soft, succulent egg. Lovely start to the day . Thank you very much Morrison’s for a great filing start to the day xxx 👍👍👍👍

The food in this establishment used to be good but now there is a could not care less attitude.The cutlery is always filthy as is the tables and the the food is very poor.

We were here for food shopping but decided to have lunch before we got food. The now have a ''computerised '' ordering system, that's fine for people who are computer literate but most older people did not know how to order this way. A woman behind us saw us struggling & said just go to the counter to order. The place was not very busy but we had to wait 20 min. before our food came, by that time we had finished our cups of tea/ coffee. The table had not been wiped so we got a cloth from someone talking to other customers & did it ourselves. The food was fine.

Ran by a bunch of idiots the can’t get an order right we have been a few times and it doesn’t get any better. Going to stop using this place

Prices are very reasonable, good choice of meals on the menu, staff very friendly and dining area clean and spacious.

Took a look and walked out, could not contemplate eating in this dirty eatery. Should be visited by the top brass

It’s time in a while since we used the cafe , the layout on first sight very nice , the tables sticky and bits of food residue still on table , food cold when it arrives , not impressed , maybe should have taken the hint when waiting to be served 1 lady was wanting her money back . Shame used to be a good cafe

Hungry so stopped in for a quick bite with daughter. Should have gotten the sandwich meal deal at the front of the store. I ordered 2 basic toasties 40 minutes ago and 15 minutes ago queried where they were. No understandable communication from the staff member who then started to bring out everyone else's food. 45 minutes and I'm still waiting.... If I hadn't paid up front I would walk out.

Daughter and I went into Livingston branch to shop and decided to have a breakfast in the café. after waiting 25 minutes was brought two rolls on sausage, not what was ordered then two poached eggs with bacon and toast again not what ordered. after 30 minutes decided enough was enough, no juice on sale in café so went into shop bought it and took it in. got refund and spoke to customer who was looking for his rolls on sausage getting refund also, lady complaining waiting 30 minutes and asked for her order to be brought out. on way out noted customer and his wife with the breakfast we had sent back man said it was cold told him no wonder we were offered that ten minutes ago, another customer seeking refund. get this sorted or shut the place I wont be back.

Was early for a a local school event. Went into canteen for a coffee and quick bite. Opted for a ham sandwich (sealed in a wrapper) and a latte. Sat down at a cleaned table. Staff constantly cleaning up as necessary. Read the paper in peace. Tray and cup etc put into rack when leaving.

Review not really of the restaurant but did have sandwich & coffee that was good but needed to let people know of the fantastic service I received from the bakery today They made me a strawberries & cream gateaux for brother in law He suffers from dementia but this was what he wanted for his birthday cake & Morrisons made it as wanted Thanks to all staff in Morrisons Livingston who made this happen He loved it

When my wife and I stay in Livingston we always choose Morrisons for a hearty and cheap breakfast. This visit was no different, the breakfast was excellent and veryy reasonably priced and was very much enjoyed.

Fab breakfast for real cheap in here! The main meals are ok - nothing to rave about but you get what you pay for and a good variety of choice.

I’m really not impressed with this cafe anymore the last 3 times I’ve been up the food was cold and had to wait 45 minutes for it to be sent back this used to be a great place standards have totally went downhill I think they need to get more staff in kitchen and make sure food is piping hot to customers certainly won’t be back

Always good and the staff are very friendly, try to visit at the weekend for a lazy breakfast and never disappointed.

We were out dong some Christmas shopping and ended up at the retail park, being hungry and not wanting to drive around we though we'd pop in here. The thought of a Turkey roll with the trimmings was to much to ignore. Having been told it would be 20 min wait for hot food we weren't put off and the food came quicker anyway. A great big lunch and quite tasty we though we'd made a good choice but then to hear one of the staff saying "I wouldn't eat in here, no way".

Had lunch a few months ago here and it was disappointing. Yesterday was much better although busy we were served fairly quickly and the lunch arrived not too long after. The only thing I would say is more staff are needed to clean the tables as most of them were filthy or stacked with dishes.

We often go here for lunch when in area! We always have the fish & chips as large fish & you get bread & butter too!

Visited after school pick up to kill two birds with one stone. Dinner and quick shop. First a little perturbed by the total disinterest of the girl who took our order. Clearly we were an inconvenience or perhaps she has other things going on. Anyway, fast forward to our food arriving. Cheerful, lovely girl delivered our food. That was the only reason I restrained my opinion of the food. On the whole it looked palatable but I can honestly say the mushy peas looked like a dried up fungus or wife of oasis after multiple flower displays. We are our meal because it was cheap, kids eat free etc. However, it had to be highlighted that the mushy peas should have been excluded. I presented them at the till for reassurance that they didn't consider this acceptable. Staff agreed this was a disgrace. I was concerned about the standards behind the scenes given the fact that this made it to my table. Had it not been so cheap...won't risk it again.

The newly refurbished cafe looks great and really smart. Service was good and food out quick. Lunch with my young daughter all for £5.00. Out of all the major stores nothing comes close to Morrisions.

Went here yesterday and it was quite busy for it being 2 o'clock. It was so unorganised no one was at the start to take hot food orders. Then when we were waiting on the coffee machine we had to wait ten minutes as this women was getting 6 coffees and only one machine was working. Then half way through making her coffees it stopped working. We then had to wait another ten minutes for someone to come and fix it. No one was at the end till to place the orders either or take anyone's money. Was absolutely terrible customer service wise there should always be someone on the end till how are the customers meant to be served. Anyway we eventually got served and then about 10 mins later the food came I got a roll on sausage but the butter was dripping of the roll, the sausages tasted fine but the roll was like a burger roll far to big to be putting two sausages on it. My mum got a omelette that was with mushrooms and toast and there was two random chips on the plate. Don't think

I love visiting Morrisons, whether for some scrambled eggs on toast, some bacon and eggs, some mash gravy and sausages or just a great pack of sandwiches and an earl grey..don't start me on the vimto slushies and apple crumble and custard!

Had breakie hear... Never again.. My folk was so dirty and had old egg on it..Table had old sauce on it..So I bought wipes in Morrisions as I was waiting for my breakie. My partner and I had to clean the table.. Toast was toasted on one side.. Have a cheek to ask £14.75 for that rubbish Shame on you Morrisons

It is one of the best supermarkets in Scotland. In my opinion the fruits and vegs section is perhaps the best, good offer and excellent quality. I recommend to try morrisons "the best" pizzas, they are excellent.

This has got to be the worst breakfast ever. The bacon was seriously undercooked it would have been able to walk off the plate if the plate hadn't been swimming in grease, i took a bite of the fried bread and it was so greasy it must have been in the deep fat fryer. Yuck never again. Left most of it and had to go elsewhere for food.

Good basic food, friendly service usually, prompt service most occasions, been on many occasions, food is ok may.

popped in here for a quick coffee.had to wait ages as the machine had run out of milk,plus there were no clean cups and hardly any cutlery.had a look around and there were a lot of disgruntled people waiting for food.also noticed lots of tables hadnt been cleared of old orders,which made the whole place look a bit untidy and unorganised. have been in here many times while shopping and have had excellent meals and the whole place has been spotless,so maybe just a bad day being had though sometimes it seems very understaffed for a restaurant that can get really busy especially for teas and coffee so one bad experience certainly wont put me off coming in again.....

My first impression was the long unending line of people leading to the single till point. It alll has a slightly late 1980s fee to it .A time before customers expected better service. Upon finally arriving at thevsaid till point the assistant announced there was a 25 minute waiting time for hot food . Having stucknit out that long we agreed to wait . The food finally arrived and was surprisingly good . So its a mixed bag for morissons cafe . Better organisation and management needed.

Not a lot of ambience but the Scottish breakfast is excellent value for money and delicious. The staff always make you feel welcome as well. The perfect start to a business day

Very close to the outlet centre and to all the others supermarkets. Morrisons is one of my best choice to buy food. Great offers, good prices, average quality. Big car park, godd price at the petrol station. It's easy to reach, and you always find everything you need. Good!!!

My sister and I eat at Morrison's in Livingston every Saturday. We usually get either a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise or a small portion of fish and chips.The lady who does most of the cooking, Tina makes the best tuna mayonnaise baked potatoes I have ever tasted and they are absolutely 'out of this world'. Now and again we try the fish and chips and they too are absolutely delicious. The small portion is perfectly adequate in size for a lunch and cooked to perfection so I am somewhat surprised by the bad reviews that I have read as I simply do not agree with them.My sister and I are both extremely fussy about where we eat and I can assure you that we certainly would not return every Saturday if the food was as bad as the other reviews are saying. The value is fantastic and you get a lovely pot of tea with your jacket potato for around £4.00 - what more could you ask for!

Arrived at 3.00 p.m. at nearly empty cafe and waited for 5 minutes at the "Food Order" desk unseen by any of 4 staff working in kitchen. We were eventually advised to order at till. My order of steak pie was an individual round pie with chewy meat, mash and grey coloured mushy peas. Wife had luke-warm chips and over-cooked macaroni, both orders on cold plates. Very poor food with coffee included for just under a tenner so at least it was cheap..

Went with my partner today to have breakfast. We were told after ordering it would be a half hour wait for food! Sooo disorganised food was being brought out to tables that had ordered after us, people were receiving half their order. Then our food was finally brought out 40 mins after ordering. It was disgusting. Plate was hot but food was cold. Eggs were rubber, sausage was disgusting, bacon wasn't cooked. Asked for money back as wasn't waiting again. What a waste of my time

Breakfast here is poor, cheap need not mean bad food prep or dirty plates and cutlery. Eggs are either very overcooked ore undercooked, it's just luck how yours comes out. Sausages are cooked to the point of being dry, square sausage is like a lump of plastic but tastes worse. Cutlery in dispensers is usually dirty, cups frequently have ring marks inside. Staff do try, they have even hand washed cutlery for me. Not sure if the fault lies with training or equipment or both either way it needs addressed.

Restarant and store first class ,but had to use disabled toilet and it was filthy!,sink and top of cistern VERY dusty,on back of door it said it had been inspected and signed for cleanliness .lucky I had wipes with me.sorry about this,but needs to be looked at.,

This used to be nice and clean. I have finally decided not to go here anymore I have never seen a place go downhill so quickly. I have no idea what management are thinking about, dirty tables left for ages, cutlery just out of dishwasher filthy obviously dishwasher does not work properly or there is too much cutlery in. Never have enough cups so customers have to use paper cups, staff are very slow when they do get around to cleaning tables they take from one table at a time so double their workload!!! As for cleaning the dirty tables well don't think the same cloth is sufficient especially when it's only wiped over a bit of the table if they are sloppy where customers can see what are they doing in the kitchen? They appear to be short staffed maybe the poor workers are just as fed up as the customers?

Have visited a few times found staff to be fantastic and glad to help you. Café can be very busy at times, however staff will make the point of telling you how long meal might take to be made and served to you. Food is of excellent value of money.

Great place to go if you can't be bothered cooking and have shopping to do anyway, might as well go here first. I love their chicken tikka :) it's nothing grand, but it's good food and makes your belly happy :)

Had Sunday breakfast - the full Scottish. We had a long wait for it to arrive, by which time our pots of tea had gone stone cold, and what a big disappointment it was with the egg fried as hard as the plate it was on and many of the other items looking decidedly unappetising. Despite the fact that the cafe wasn't particularly busy, many tables were left uncleaned and the place had a decidedly unloved by its staff feel to it.Must improve Mr Morrison !

We went to morrisons today for lunch. Sandwiches are up in price not great. I usually like their tea but was awful today don't know if they are using Cheaper tea bags. Tables are always messy not cleared quickly. We have decided not to go back as this has been the case for a while now.

Have eaten in the cafe a few times, can't comment on much of the menu but the fish and chips are fantastic. Fresh boneless haddock cooked to order, this is a welcome change to the usual precooked fare that we usually expect to see in a cafe or similar eateries. The prices are very reasonable too and portion size is good. Nice clean surroundings too.

What an excellent service and value we received at the restaurant in Morrison's at Livingston. They have a small portion of fish and chips at a very reasonable price as well as sandwiches with a little salad and some crisps. For the dieters the sandwiches and the main dishes have the calories listed. I was so surprised that my fish and chips, my wife's sandwiches and two teas, one with lemon meant I had a lot of change out of a tenner.The staff too were excellent and the café is clean and well presented.

Good traditional food in a cafe close to the rest of the shops in Livingston. Handy for topping up your car with fuel.
