Morrisons in South Ayrshire

I ordered gammon to be told they have none. The one girl said we have one left. When it came it had no egg and looked and tasted like it was cooked yesterday. Didn’t give my child beans. When I complained about no egg or beans the man said he’d get it and went off to do something else. I waited so long I went and complained, to be told we could make you another gammon! I reordered something else. The staff were just mulling about not doing much. I waited so long and my husband and child had finished theirs so I went back to say I wanted a refund and how unhappy I was. I left unfed and fuming. Never eat there. Not very clean either.

Their hot water machine has been out of order for several months now, so if you're wanting a cup of tea, you won't get one. It's an awful place and I don't know how it still remains open.

Wasn’t busy - dirty tables left - general upkeep is non existent . Years ago this cafe was nice - it’s not like that now and hasn’t been for a while . Staff (not all ) give the impression they couldn’t care less . Front of store and car park - most days litter all over the place . Sooner the better for competition in Troon. Morrisons has gone downhill big time . Shame as it use to be a lovely well kept store.

I ordered poached eggs on toast. The cafe was not busy. I was observing the staff who were preparing breakfasts and other meals. I observed two members of staff picking up cooked sausages with their bare hands then putting them on bread rolls. They then wiped their hands on their clothes and continued the same pattern of ignoring basic food hygiene. I reported the matter to a supervisor who appeared to blame me for complaining. Therefore I do not see any changes being made. I certainly would not recommend to eat in this cafe.

Utter farce of a place. Every time I've been in I've had to wait ages for food, then it arrives either burnt or cold, no cutlery, no milk, no salt, no mugs etc. It either needs to be taken over by a company that is capable of running it, or shut down.

Even for a supermarket cafe this place is bad. Called in at lunch time, the stock was bare, coffee machines out of order, dirty cutlery and tables, uninterested staff, slow service, the list goes on. Avoid.

Ordered one ultimate and two full breakfasts along with one fish and chips and a lasagne. Only three other people in cafe and order took 30 minutes to complete. When arrived chips burnt, mushrooms and tomatoes cold and bacon managed to be burnt at one end and uncooked at the other...lasagne was undercooked and tasted like a cheap frozen one...service very poor...sadly wont be back...cant find anything good to say unfortunately

Wont be back! Wasnt busy atalll when we went in couldnt get 3 breakfasts right! Food was frozen. Very slow , dissapaointed.

Went in at 9.30am 15/7/23 being only the 3rd person in, ordered a special breakfast 2 links, 2 bacon and 2 hash brown as I do every week, waited and watched 14 other breakfasts being served to customers then there was a break, still no breakfast served at 10.15. finished the pot of tea. Ask for a refund. Now over 4 weekends had to chase up 1 breakfast, had to send back one breakfast, had to have them bring the missing item ordered on 2 others. The breakfast are ok but you must keep your receipt as it also has the time of the till service on it. I enjoy the food served but the service.

I have had a few breakfast's in the cafe before which have been very good. After doing a few domestic chores we decided to try a dinner. I asked for a chicken dinner and was told there was none as they usually sell out by lunchtime. I opted for the chunky steak pie and my wife opted for bangers and mash. There was a meal deal which included a sticky toffee pudding which I added in. The food was served reasonably quickly but my wifes potato was cold so she ate the sausages were okay. The meal included a small jug of gravy which was a tasteless water. My steak pie was an individual pie and when I removed the top consisted of a brown solidified gel. With no sign of chunky beef. The pastry was so hard my knife couldn't cope. On the plus side the chips were good. After I gave up on the main course I had my sweet. That's the only flavour I got from it. It was a tasteless sponge with watery custard. Please avoid as I rate this as the worst meal I have eaten.

No hot food, one person serving been better buying a sandwich from fridge and sitting in carpark dirty cutlery no sugar etc disappointed!!

We ordered. Two breakfasts and I ordered a coffee was barked at by person on till to help myself using the machine coffee was disgusting breakfast was only just warm plates cold I really should have returned full thing to them as there is a legal temp to serve food this clearly wasn’t met. The price was nearly £20 i won’t return the server clearly didn’t enjoy her job either she banged plates down on table the egg that was served should have been binned however I blame myself for not returning this food at the start

So here’s the critique they deserve as the associated supermarket. Today I bought sardine fillets with a marinade. At lunchtime, having deboned every fillet ( deboned fillets ) and throwing away two of the five, I cooked them in butter and they tasted ok , but there was an overwhelming smell of rotten fish that permeated throughout the house. At 9pm, I decanted a quarter of a stone in weight. It was painful. Every time I buy poultry or fish from the aisle, it ends up in weight loss. No more. How this sorry representation of the brand still operates in beyond me. Enough, I’m driving somewhere else.

This is a good-sized Morrisons - not too huge, but not small – with a good selection of nicely presented produce, deli, groceries, etc. All good - however despite their signage instructing customers how to wear masks during the pandemic, staff members seemed content to go without. These were mainly the younger lads who stock the green grocery area - and there were a fair few of them with their masks pulled down under their chins, or not wearing them at all. It sends a poor message when the staff can't be bothered about customer safety.

Following the success of my trip in July 2021, I set out to return to Morrisons cafe for a scrumptious meal. I arrived mid morning and was greeted by the smell of pensioners as you would expect, the aroma of pipe tobacco & dust filled the air. The car park was full of poorly parked cars as per however all the skateboarders outside appear to have been chased off my someone? The cafe was bustling was activity with Louise & Lynn running the show as per. Had a wee pot of tea and sausage sanny which was delightful!! Overall I’d give it a 10/10.

Popped into the cafe for first time and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The staff were great and very helpful even though they were rushed of their feet. I really appreciate the kindness and hard work put in by Lynn, michelle & kathy. Thank you.

Morrisons cafe in troon is total dog balls 45 min for 2 rubbish burgers and soggy cold chips staff seem to be useless wont be back

Me & my mate big Davie T went down the other week for a couple of breakfasts (and a pot of tea) and boy were we pleased. The bacon and sausages left me feeling all warm & fuzzy inside and the fried tomato was to die for. My potato scone was nice and fluffy with my beans arguably the best beans I’ve came across. Cafe was busy with predominantly pensioners playing scramble and completing crosswords in the various newspapers however the staff remained attentive to everyone’s needs. One lassie Louise was running the show and I must say - surely is due a pay rise.

Popped in for a few messages after a bracing walk along the sea front. Decided to grab something to eat. I had fish and chips & my wife had scampi and chips. Both were delicious and a latte to wash it down.

Visited while shopping in store for a breakfast. Wasn’t best food..bacon was dry, egg was hard and rest of breakfast was not very appetising.

Well located on the edge of Troon and Barassie. Full range of goods stocked as well as a cafe and toilets. An excellent range of plants and gardening supplies. There is also a cash machine on site.

Morrisons is an amazing grocery store. It does have a cafe where you could stop for a tea or a quick bite. Reasonably priced and nice food.

The greens stock is terrible, there was a lot of empty spaces. The salad bowl I bought had brown edged lettuce. The smell from the canteen is overwhelming at the checkouts.

Decided to have tea before grocery shopping. Both my husband and I had the fish and chips which was delicious, freshly cooked chunky white fish and chips were nice and crisp. Would definitely have a return visit.

Both excellent , everyone very helpful. Smugglers food was excellent, although bit noisy as it was karaoke night on a Sunday. Must say though before it started, the waitress asked if we wanted volume turning down.

After a tough day, in a tough week, all my beautiful partner needed was a cheeseless pizza. Peppers or chargrilled peppers? Surprise me!!! Surprise me, NO PEPPERS!!! A farce from ordering to leaving. Lady was very pleasant mind you.

Needed sustainance and other cafes were packed so went into Morrisons- what a shock! Half sandwich, scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea for just over £2 and the food was good quality little wonder it was busy! Look no further

Although the shop staff are pleasant, the restaurant staff were hellish. There were not enough, the place was a tip and no one took control of the situation. Over 20 mins to get something simple to eat. I had the scampi which had far too long in the fryer!! I would avoid at all costs.

The morrisons cafe is always clean and tidy. The staff courteous and helpful . If you are looking for a cheap quick snack it's good value

This is the place for the best Mocha in Scotland - I loved it! My husband had tea and yummy sweet treat . The area was nice and clean.

Great customer service from all the staff. Very clean store and shelves are stocked full of goods. Coffee shop is a nice break before or after shopping. Washrooms are clean :)

My Wife wanted Scampi but was told it was not available, as this is a Supermarket that supplies its own ingredients to its restaurant it seems a bit odd as it was not late in the day. No notice is given till you order the meal at the checkout then you have to decide on an alternative which causes a hold up to other customers, not good service

Had Scampi and chips from this place and it was the best I've ever had. Some lassie Louise made it with such grace that it felt like wee toaty bits of scampi breaded with the skin of angels. How that lassie isn't making fish & chips in a michelin star restaraunt i'll ever know!highly reccomended. watp.

Surprising in the sense I've always found supermarket food pretty bland and unimaginative this was exceptionally tasty ! Was there for breakfast and had a wide choice : rolls and bacon, sausage , black pudding etc or rolls with two selections of your choice , 2 set breakfasts with all the trimmings, or the one that appealed to me, create your own breakfast. You can use as many or as few of the many breakfast items on offer!! The food was well presented and cooked and most was locally sourced. The coffee was pretty good too. Only fault is the restaurant appears understaffed and this can lead to delays in receiving your order especially when busy. However,I hasten to add, is not the fault of the staff who without fail are friendly and helpful. Go on try it here and give yourself a pleasant surprise!!

Shop here every week and usually have lunch. Over the summer holidays we changed it to breakfast. Have noticed over the past while that the staff arent happy in their jobs. The girl Andrea at the till was dour, no eye contact, no chat and no manners. After serving me she started to clean tables in the same manner, slamming plates etc. No smiles or chat between the staff either, very noticeable. Felt akward especially as it wasnt particularly busy. The staff in the supermarket are the opposite, always friendly helpful and the checkout staff are brilliant. Pity it doesnt spill over to the restaurant.

Don't usually review a supermarket but we did buy a lot of their pre prepared food, which was good value. Main reason I want to csee moment is about the staff. They are absolutely amazing. From the lovely lady at the cheese counter who was so helpful, to the fantastic guys who ran around trying to locate a corkscrew. We were impressed with the store as a whole. Even the check out people were cheerful and friendly.

Nice and clean place to shop. You can enjoy a small snack after you shop .Food is good and not expensive.

Morrisons supermarket offers a great variety of foodstuffs, alcohol and other miscellaneous items, and I can get most of the requirements here for a week's shopping. Their two for one offers are usually good too, but perhaps not for someone living on their own. The points store card is good because it doesn't take long to produce a £5 voucher which can be used for special event shopping.

I went here with my son and 2 grand daughters for dinner as they were offering kids eat free when dining with adults. We had two adult main meals for £5 each while the children had fish fingers and macaroni cheese. Our adult meals were beef lasagne served with garlic bread while I had two large pieces of fish, peas and more chips than I could eat. All food was freshly cooked and served in a timely manner despite a warning there would be a delay. Batter on the fish was crisp and the fish was deliciously moist. The children can be picky about food but ate everything on their plates. Well done staff at Morrisons cafe in Troon.

morrisons is my favourite supermarket and regularly shop at it as you get quality goods and great deals on them , I always look to see if there is a morrisons store in town no matter where .

Usual high Morrison's standards. Food fair to good, nice staff, clean, free parking, free papers. Handy for Troon just behind main street shops. Good breakfast but better for main courses. Good deals on kids meals. Fairly busy as elderly and local worries use cafe a lot. Coffee selection not so good.

Kids eat free on weeknights is a deal worth going for, family of four for under £10. good portion sizes especially the fish and chips.

Great place to eat and drink and relax. The staff are great very welcoming and friendly. The cafe is very clean and tidy. The food is freshly cooked for you when ordered and served to you at your table. I have been in a few times and I am always pleased. I got the fish and chips with beans lovely, the time before that was sausage fried egg with chips and beans, time before that was a mini breakfast, time before that was a cheese burger I can't fault it great service.

this seems to be the new thing with supermarkets a decent cafeteria that sell hot or cold food tea or coffee and almost any kind of juice for the kids . This lovely shop is warm in the winter and cool in the summer making the eating habits for everyone very comfortable, my wife and I went shopping with one of our grand daughters and if there's food and desserts available well the kids love a wee treat the food isn't bad at all I had a curry my wife had a sandwich and our grand daughter had sausage chips and beans with a lovely ice cream sundae that we all had a taste of that and two coffee's and an orange juice for well under 20 pounds which nowadays is great value, it is self service until you order hot food and the service is quite prompt and the food is always hot lockers are available for your trolley but I suggest its best to eat before you shop its common sense if your going to buy frozen produce.

We were in Morrisons last week and there were some very good offers. Two steaks for £3 - Really tender and decent size. Also pizza, ice cream and bag of chips for £3. Keep up all the good offers.

Two adult main courses, two kids meals and a drink with them all for under a tenner. The fish with the fish and chips is huge and had over a dozen times and never once found a bone. Helpful friendly staff apart from one grumpy lady.

This is a supermarket with a restaurant included. Breakfast was ok and reasonably priced. It seemed a bit understaffed for the number of customers.

With no other big supermarket in the town the prices are high.Parking is close but the car park can be open to the elements.Inside the staff are very efficient and friendly.But don't use the self checkout unless your looking for an argument with the robotic voice

Hit or miss with thisnplace sometimes its great and others food is either overcooked and dry or flung together. I have heard staff talk about how stressed they are and its understaffed u can drfinetley tell on these days. One staff member has got my order wrong 4 times

Good for when you need a quick bite to eat before, during or after shopping. The best time is breakfast as the food is good.....at other times its kind of a hit or a miss.

It's not where we go for a meal out but it's handy when we take the car to a garage nearby for servicing. We can have a leisurely lunch, do a big shopping then park the trolley in a locker and fetch the car to load up. It's plain plastic tops with fixed chairs but comfortable and pleasant enough. Prices are easy. The staff are scarce so service can be slow but that's no problem for our purpose. The food is always good, and sufficient. It does the job fine and never any problem.

We visited this restaurant a week ago. They appeared to be short staffed because the floor was littered with bits and pieces and many tables were needing to be cleared. However as we were only having tea and cake, we survived the ordeal.Yesterday, we made a big mistake of going in again and this will surely be the last time EVER!We waited in a queue intending to order sandwiches and a bacon roll. In the meantime we picked up two plates and a couple of jam doughnuts. We reached the drinks area only to find that there were no teabags. It was only when we got to the checkout that we learned the till was not working and also that there would be a 25 minute wait for hot food (apparently because the till was out of action!!). A more professional eating establishment would have posted a notice to this effect at the start of the queue. Needless to say, we walked out and enjoyed excellent sandwiches and service elsewhere.A complete and utter shambles!

Freshly cooked, very reasonably priced breakfast, which can include any of a number of items of your choosing.

Well - what more can I say. Appalling service. They make their money by overcharging on hot drinks and cakes. Short of staff - poor food. I don't know what else I can say.You lot - complain!
