Morgans in Blackpool

This place is incredible! Being a big '50s/60s fan, I was excited to come here, and it didn't disappint. The atmosphere, the records on the walls, it was so good. The food, oh my word, amazing! I ordered the homemade steak pie which was to die for! Beautiful pastry, tender pieces of steak, served with homemade gravy. My hubby had burger and chips and he loved it too. It was great value. Many compliments to the chef, the food was absolutely superb! My only little finicky snag is that they were playing 80s music (which I love) but I was expecting 50s/60s, but that's by the by. I just can't recommend this place enough! Don't bother going anywhere else. You won't be disappointed!

There was 4 adults and 3 children under 7, nice enough people but took a long time to be served, waited 30 minutes after ordering to be told none of the food we ordered was available. Ordered 2 pints of dark fruits and got two pints from CANS!! Waited 40 minutes for the 3 children’s milkshakes to come - asked where they were three times. Very underwhelmed about our visit although the staff were nice.

I took my three children here for dinner on 30 July 2019. Bored of the standard greasy seaside fare I was looking for something a little different and I am also a fan of quirky eating establishments. Morgans appealed due to the home cooked nature of the food and the interesting old music theme. The children found it interesting to listen to the 'old' music and look at the fascinating memorabilia the restaurant is decorated with. The only slight criticism I would have is that the menu I was handed didn't appear to have a huge selection, especially for somebody who is gluten intolerant, but I opted for the barbecue ribs which were probably the tastiest ribs I have ever eaten! My daughter (age 12) had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and said it was her best meal of our entire holiday. My son (age 14) had the steak pie and enjoyed that very much. The staff seemed pleasant and it was obviously a family business which it quite lovely. Prices were reasonable. We all left feeling we had had an enjoyable meal in a clean and quirky restaurant. Found by chance walking down the promenade at Blackpool went in for food which I can only say was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and pleasant looking forward to seeing you again on our next visit to Blackpool

The steak pie here was absolutely fabulous, filled to the brim with steak topped with the most mouth watering pastry. The music and décor give this place a wonderful warm atmosphere and the staff are extremely friendly. Will be going again on my next visit...

We stopped off for breakfast and I'm so glad we did the diner is so quirky it's fantastic.The breakfast was absolutely lovely can't fault it really good value for money and your given a really warm welcome nothing is too much trouble.

Excellent service. Great atmosphere. The food was superb, lots of it, lovely and hot and very reasonably priced. Loved the decor and the 60's music, loud enough to sing along to, without deafening you. Would highly recommend this place and will certainly return.

Left home at 730am to beat bank holiday traffic so breakfast was first on the agenda - but where???

We ate breakfast here, the pancakes were very good, the rest of the breakfast was ok. The staff attempted to charge us £2 to pay by card, which has been illegal since January 2018. We decided to go to a bank instead to pay with cash, the staff were overbearing and a little rude about this decision. The aesthetic was nice and had a good vibe.

Myself, hubby and daughter went for dinner. My hubby had steak pie, the kids menu was simple (good for kids) my daughter had ham and plain pasta. I ordered the Mexican salad, which is salad,salsa and chicken in a tortilla bowl. The salad was so good, they even asked if I would like my chicken with Cajun favouring. I also have the lemon dressing. Overall we were happy with the food and good service!

The downstairs of Morgan’s is great for the kids to look around at as like an American dinner .... the bedroom wasn’t the cleanest and so old fashioned the bathroom was filthy other people’s hair in the shower curly ones on the toilet seat !!...

My husband & myself enjoyed a wonderful Birthday celebration in Morgans Diner. Our evening was made so special by all the staff & the atmosphere was just so good! We ordered the Coconut Shrimp & Prawn Cocktail for our starters which had such great flavour & very light indeed. For our main course my husband ordered a T. Bone Steak which was cooked exactly as he asked. I ordered the Chili Con Carne & Boiled Rice which was so flavoursome & again not a heavy meal, just right. For dessert my husband ordered an Ice-cream Sunday which was the perfect way to end an excellent meal. I would definitely recommend Morgans Diner as the staff made us feel so relaxed & went out there way to make my husbands Birthday a very Special Occasion indeed. A huge thank you to all staff! Nice food and atmosphere with a warm welcome. They use really good quality produce, my son and husband had a steak and a burger which they said were of the best quality they have tasted. I had a salad which was nice and came in tortilla shell which was an unusual twist but otherwise was a little boring. I will go for the famed steak pie next time!

We visited here as our last evening whilst on our anniversary trip to Blackpool. We visited last year and we're so impressed that we decided to return this time. We walked in earlier on in the day to see if they had a table for the evening, and we were booked in with no problems. When we walked in the atmosphere was wonderful, you really would think you had stepped in from the streets of America, not Blackpool! The welcome and service from the members of staff was wonderful, really attentive and at the end of the meal one waitress apologised that the service was a little slower than normal due to the number of people that were in that night. We honestly didn't think the service was slow and we could see that it was busy, and as I said to the waitress we don't mind waiting for good food, and we certainly had exceptional quality food. We had a side order of cheesy garlic bread but to come or as a starter and it was beautiful! Plenty of cheese on it and perfectly cooked. We both had a burger and chips, I had mine with cheese and bacon, my Husband had his with cheese, bacon and pineapple. The portion sizes were very generous but again the burger and the chips were beautiful and cooked to perfection. I am fussy with how meat is cooked but it couldn't be faulted at all. I was too stuffed for a pudding but my Husband had the chocolate fudge cake and he loved it! I did try a lick of the sauce off the bowl and I must admit it was beautiful! Very reasonable prices, and everything is freshly cooked and hand made, and by the quality and taste you could tell. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Blackpool and will definitely visit again when we next visit Blackpool.

I recently had a significant birthday party and, on a previous visit, thought that Morgan's would be a fantastic place to hold it and I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere and the uniqueness of this venue meant it was a brilliant place to hold such a function. They looked after every detail and put on a wonderful event for me, which all the guests and I thought could not have been better. There was a great buffet, chosen from a varied list of buffet types, a fantastic cake, superb decorations, an awesome night of music, hosted by Mark from the hotel, and karaoke. Morgan's great staff all played their part in a memorable night which is still being talked about by all who were there, and at the end of the night, everyone just had to crawl upstairs to bed. Everyone at Morgan's provided a fabulous venue, a great atmosphere and unbelievable hospitality. Thanks again to Mark, Kim, Polly and Vicky for a night I'll never forget.

We really enjoyed our visit to Morgans. Food was brilliant - as were the cocktails!I booked this restaurant as it looked quirky and different and we wanted somewhere a bit special for my daughter's 18 birthday meal.We had traveled up from London and none of us had been to Blackpool before. We were not disappointed.The food was lovely - and the diner is really bright and we got some brilliant photos!Kim the owner/manager? Phoned me beforehand and gave me some valuable advice about where to go to watch the rugby etc. It was a really nice personal touch.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and was really surprised that it was very quiet on a Saturday.If you haven't been there - you're missing out! I would be there all the time if I lived in Blackpool. Thank you for a great evening!

What an amazing place to visit and eat. Kim, the owner of this fantastic restaurant and hotel, went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome, she even introduced me to my new favourite drink.......red wine and cola...... this 60s inspired diner is a must if your visiting Blackpool and I'll definitely be back. We visit Blackpool several times a year and always make a point of eating at Morgans. The nostalgic surroundings and music is really relaxing and the friendly welcome is second to none. The bar is well stocked and they have recently added a milk shake bar as well where you can sit and watch the outside world go by. If the weather is favourable, you can sit outside on a decking area and relax with you food and drinks. The menu is American Diner style with a fantastic choice and every meal we have had has been first class and incredible value for money. I can thoroughly recommend Morgans as a great experience and a great place to eat.

We visited with family and friends. We started with cocktails and even kids " mocktails". The menu was mouth watering, mainly serving American type food but there was also a choice of salads or English home made steak pie! The blooming onion was a particular favourite . My wife and I made the decision to eat @ Morgans following a walk on the prom after visiting our Folks.The novel decoration complemented the food perfectly, great VFM and good menu choice served perfectly cooked.You must try the "Blooming onion"Highly recommended

We went here after we watched the wales v England for something to eat , nice place to eat but that as far as it goes we ordered starter which we never got we had steak which nicely cooked , we than opted for sweet as we never got starter , we than got our bill which come to £43.30 for our meals £35.80 so charged us £8.50 for can of coke and bottle of cider than charged us £ 2 to use our debit card ,we have never been charged to use our debit card

It was a unpleasant stay . We has a weekend at Blackpool a few weeks ago, we booked hostel at last minute. And we were happy as it got good reviews . It's a interesting Deco hostel. People are friendly. But the room was very dirty. There was a blood on one side of my pillow. Bed sheets were obviously not fresh cleaned . We were glad we were only there a night. We actually didn't understand why it got such good reviews.

We visited Morgan's on bonfire night, for a meal to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. The whole experience from first booking to actually having the meal was first class. Kim was very helpful, gave advice on food & let us decorate the table before my Dad arrived. The food was excellent quality & I can honestly say my steak was one of the best I've ever had. There was 11 of us & everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent & speedy, we especially enjoyed the cocktails! The dining area is decorated in an American diner theme, which was interesting & my Dad enjoyed looking at all the pictures, records & number plates. I can highly recommend Morgan's & hope to return next year, but stay over next time.

I have to say a massive thank you to Morgan's, the trip was part of my little boys 6th birthday celebrations and the meal at Morgan's was one of the highlights of our break! The service and food were outstanding!!! We all had the pie and it's the best pie. And my little boy absolutely loved his Blackpool tower ice cream making fun xx

We have just returned from another fantastic Halloween weekend with the grandchildren at Morgans. The food was excellent and well worth eating in.Mark and Kim again looked after us well and put on another great Halloween party night.Would highly recommend staying here if your visiting Blackpool

It was a Sunday. Called in for an evening meal. Very Busy and quite noisy. However, we ordered one of the "Roast of the Day" Both of us had Roat Beef with Yorkshire Pudding + potatoes + vegatables and this was very good and tasty. Well worth a visit.

Came here with my daughter,sister+three friends. We had a very good meal+very nice cocktails. Two friends stayed at this hotel+as we had a very nice meal here in the summer we decided to have a meal here again. My sister+I had the steak pie which is a big favourite on the menu+we loved it. The desserts+main meals are all a very good price too. Service was great even though the restaurant was very busy. Would definitely go here again+my friends who stayed there loved the hotel too. Definitely worth a visit!!!

We heard great things about the diner....and the advertising boards outside promise lots but failed to deliver in some areas...no entertainment for one. The food however was generally very good...if you stick to the home cooked items. Wife had ribs and suspect they came from Iceland. Burger stack was great. Really good prices and drinks were good. We would certainly return to this diner...as much better than Witherspoon / Yates etc.

We arrived here at 4.30pm and didn't struggle to be seated and served, in fact service was very quick and efficient, staff are very friendly and helpful, i had the steak pie and wasn't disappointed, it was amazing. My husband had the steak and chips, his meal was lovely too, would recommend this place to anyone considering it, very competitively priced and really good home cooked food, great atmosphere too. Will definitely come back next time we're in Blackpool.

We booked here for Saturday night, thats the first thing, I would definitely book as it is very popular, they had to turn several people away so you would be very lucky to just walk in on spec, maybe midweek? Food was excellent and great value, we had the chilli bowl for starters and prawn cocktail then both of us steak pie for mains, really tasty, see photo. Diner type food but mostly home made, you can tell not boil in the bag. Friendly staff good value wine, would definitely recommend, we shall definitely be back.

We tried here booked in advance as gets busy we were told there was ten off us meal were lovely apart from service slow and qere advised people who want steak have to order day before which we did only problem was 5 had steak other meals served before they got there drinks over priced but food was good

Had to go as we are Rock n Roll fans, totally loved the experience. I had one of the best Chilli Con Carne meals in Blackpool. Great 50's & 60's American themed menu, just a pity they didn't have Root Beer on the drinks menu to top off the American theme! Wished it was open more often during the week out of season. Still loved it though!

we did not stay here we just popped in for dinner although we had not booked Kim made a point of fitting us in even tho they were busy, the food was fantastic and Kim was so pleasant we will deffo stay here when we return.

A warm Saturday, 12.30pm. A quick decision to travel from Doncaster to Blackpool in order to have Steak pie at Morgans. Another fantastic visit and excellant service with a friendly smile. This wont be last visit this year.

7 of us went for tea last Saturday and all of the food was lovely, freshly made and tasty. We ordered nachos share to start and mains, everything from chili, burgers to meat pie. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The surroundings are a joy, as was the background music. Would definitely recommend. Reasonably priced too.

I have no idea who has left reviews stating the food is good here, but they obviously have low standards or extremely poor tastebuds.The interior of this place is very good, with an attempt at a 60's American diner. The owner hasn't quite got it right though. Having little touches like squeezy American style ketchup and mustard tubs on the tables would look much better. And chrome napkin holders etc.The aging waitresses really couldn't give a toss at all, and I found them bordering on rude. The ribs we had very quite simply abysmal,very fatty and chewy and obviously out of a packet, probably from Aldi. The only saving grace was the owner was very friendly and came over to chat, as my Dad was ill and didn't want to make a fuss, we thanked her and avoided commenting on the meals and service. If she is reading this I hope she accepts that her aging staff need replacing or training, and the food needs addressing. As a food business owner myself, I hope she can use this constructive criticism to make some changes.

Full of colours, music and we had a alright meal here with the family. 2 adults and three children. When we arrived a polite waitress showed us to the table and went through the menu with us. The food is very classic, if your expecting modern, funky trendy food then this place probably isn't for you. If you want a classic meal with a real home made feel to it then you will enjoy yourself. My Pie was nice, I'm not going to lie it wasn't as world famous as I thought it was going to be but I would eat another one, I'm just one of those people that likes a whole pie rather than the dish with a pie top approach but that didn't diminish the meal for me. Kids loved pudding and the wife had a pretty strong cocktail which ensured we all left with a smile on our face.

Had an amazing meal here. Really lovely food and reasonably priced. All freshly made and a decent sized portion too. Great bar with lots of choices for cocktails and milkshakes. Really nice staff, great service. Really cool, fun atmosphere. Would definitely visit again, highly recommend.

Visited with friends and the place looked authentic and played the part of American diner unfortunately looks can be deceiving. We all had high hopes and were thoroughly disappointed with our visits, our milkshakes tasted syrupy (not authentic) and by some miraculous feat my burger was both dry and soggy, it came out looking delicious on picking it up I found the bun greasy and soggy and the flavourless burger didn't improve when tasted, it was dry and bland (I didn't even bother to eat it). The ribs weren't any better but similarly looked good but tasted awful. On arrival we had planned to have desert but safe to say we left as quick as we could after facing the mains. Not only was the food a disappointment but we got the impression that they didn't really want the custom and as our visit went on they turned away quite a few visitors. I really would not recommend a visit to Morgan's unfortunately (sorry).

What a gem gutted only found Morgan's on our last night food in one word fantastic missus had the steak pie & I had the philly cheese steak both where to die for you must eat here surroundings and the staff are out of this world can't wait to visit again big thx to Kim and everyone x

Went to Blackpool for a short family break. For lunch we had eaten at another location which I wanted to return to for evening meal. However my wife convinced me to go to morgans. Wow staff where great and friendly, we hadn't booked but they got us in straight away. The kids loved there meals as did we. My wife had the steak which was cooked perfect, I had the loin king challenge. A mass of ribs it was amazing I left the plate empty. The cocktails are well presented and non expensive as are the meals and the decor is great. We returned for another meal the next day before leaving for home. Will defo be back again soon may even stay in the hotel as well this time.

Went to Morgan's for an evening meal and was greeted with smiles. Staff were welcoming and made us feel comfortable, the 60's theme was stunning and gave a really good atmosphere, the food is home made and is gorgeous couldn't fault a thing if I tried, Morgan's is deffo worth a visit and the steak pie is worth a try!!! We cannot recommend this place highly enough, Decor, Layout, Food, even the Music is a Must for Lovers of the Sixties.The Place is Spotless and the Staff couldn't have been more helpful.Ordered the Sirloin for the Girlfriend and I had the T-Bone with side orders of Crispy Coated Mushrooms, Fruit Sundae for her and Apple Pie and Ice Cream for Me, Soft drinks for both of us but there's a bar also, the cocktails on the menu looked good even to a non drinker, you're not rushed to finish your meal and leave, we sat for almost an hour afterwards just kicking back and drinking coke. If you're in Blackpool visit this place just for a Drink and the Atmosphere, you'll go back time and Time Again

Came here the other weekend with a group of 9. Booked a table earlier in the day and when we arrived we were asked to sit at 2 separate tables, even though there was only one other group in the restaurant. The waitress was not happy that I even asked to put the tables together, then left me to do it myself and only moved a chair out of my way.When we ordered drinks, they came quickly, but the soft drinks were only 1/4 pint sized! I had a cocktail which was very weak and might as well have been non-alcoholic. The waitress even sighed audibly when we ordered 2 different flavours of milkshakes, complaining that she would have to wash up twice, and asked if the two people could have the same one so she could avoid that problem.The food was hit and miss. The starters of Nachos were very good, but its hard to get Doritos, Salsa and Jalepinios wrong. Personally my bbq chicken meal was fine, although nothing special. My friend had a burger which had gone off! The meat actually smelled off, looked off and tasted it too. I can't understand why the chef still served it, considering it could very easily have given my friend food poisoning. On the plus side, the steak another friend had was very good.Overall, the staff were rude, Food was not of a good standard and the drinks were laughable. Would not recommend, would not return.

Considering there was fifteen plus two children... The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Due to the size of the party and we wanted the celebration to go well, we decided to order our food in the morning ready for 7pm. The food and staff were perfect. Thank you Kim and Pauline. It was our last night in Blackpool for our few days away for our wedding anniversary and couldn't decide where to go. We were staying in a B&B about 10 minutes away and read previous reviews on here so thought we would try it. We called to book a table because we'd seen other reviews on here but we got there about 10-15 minutes early and there were only two tables in, both left whilst we were there and one other couple arrived not long before we were leaving, so on this occasion there was no need to book! Nevertheless I would still advise booking to be on the safe side. The decor is brilliant- 60's American diner style with some great music being played. We were seated straight away and given the menu. We were told that their steak pie is their specialty and people return for it. I was tempted to try it but wasn't feeling majorly hungry so opted for a basic burger with cheese, which comes with chips and a small pot of BBQ sauce on the side. If we go again I would be tempted to try it. My husband had a speciality burger that also came with chips, and the burgers were cooked to perfection, really were tasty. My husband had the apple pie with ice cream for dessert and said that was nice too (it looked lovely, deep filled with a decent pastry). We had two drinks- a beer and half pint of lemonade, the two mains and my husband's dessert and it came to under £25, which I was really impressed with. One piece of advice though is if you wish to pay by card there is a £2 charge, which we did, but take the cash with you if you wish to avoid this. All in all we loved it and would definitely return again when we are in Blackpool again.

Service was a bit slow and not much service with a smile waitress looked like she didn't want to be there but the food was lovely had the steak pie and it was to die for

60's theme looked great, music good, and the food was delicious. Ordered steak pie, fish n chips, milk shakes. Liked the British flag on the meals too, nice little touch. Food served piping hot.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Morgans. The 60s memorabilia, car plates, portraits of famous Hollywood stars, neon lights and more made it truly exciting. The food was wonderful, very tasty and seriously filling, but to top it off, the kind cheery staff at Morgan's made our stay complete. We passed this place by chance and were utterly satisfied with the Morgan's experience and advise everyone to head to this diner for some authentic home-cooked 60s cuisine and delightful service.

Okay so we came to Blackpool March 2016, seeing the hotel on the Stretch is what caught our eye and inside didn't fail us either it was amazing lovely and quirky it felt amazing not to mention the food looked amazing burger was juicy it was a proper burger we couldn't fit them in our mouths haha the cocktails, they made so much effort with everything they did il be sure to visit the next time me and my two friends are back in Blackpool :) you went above and beyond with the service the food & the drinks keep up the good work :D

Great themed restraunt. Great food. We attended with a large group of 13 and were dealt with very well indeed.Food was amazing with not one complaint from all of our party.Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you to make everything perfect.The steak pie was awesome.Burgers and steaks were all cooked to perfection.Will definitely return

Had the 8oz rump steak. Quite simply one the best I've had. Really good food. Very well priced, and the friendliest staff you could imagine. Definitely worth a visit. Really good atmosphere too. Excellent.

Stayed at Morgan's a number of times now and the place never fails us, nothing is too much trouble and we are made to feel like family, the 60s thyme is excellent full of exciting pics and memorabilia truly delightful as are all the staff 11 out of 10

This menu is mouthwatering, lots to choose from & SO tasty. I highly recommend the Steak Pie & the ice cream parlour for the kids... Plus amaaazing cocktails for the grown ups! A real hidden gem, try it & tell your friends!

Chosen by friends who knew the place , as a weekend break , what a break , Morgans is a basic Bed & Breakfast with a difference ,.... and what a difference ,rooms are clean , and tastefully decorated , breakfasts are special very special ,service is efficient ,polite ,and organised , the food menu is EXTRA, special , and the bar restaurant is fun recommend it for a stopover of for food only , several friends have stayed and shared my experiences the couple who run it are really good people to meet ,

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and ate in the diner both nights and, as usual, the food was excellent and fantastic value for money. There are many customers who are not residents who use the diner which makes it a busy place and so a good indicator of it's quality. The staff are brilliant and the atmosphere great and so the whole experience is to be recommended.

We have dined here a few times in the past year and have never been disappointed. Every meal has been excellent and always represented amazing value for money. The atmosphere is also great with the American theme and 1960's background music. There is a well stocked bar and prices are normal bar prices. There is nothing 'rip off' about this diner and I would have no hesitation in recommending Morgan's for any age group.

We ate in this American Diner two nights running - it was so good. Great menu, dinners were lovely and we were well looked after. The American themed decor really sets off the atmosphere. We were traveling with our two young children (ages 2 and 4), the staff really went above and beyond to accomodate us and the childrens wishes. I would highly recommed the restaurant to anyone visiting Blackpool!

Ate here both nights whilst staying in Morgans on the promenade hotel. The food was lovely, staff couldn't do enough and with fussy children all their food was served how they asked. Will definitely visit again. Team are so kind and helpful. Restaurant decor fabulous!! Thank you Kim, Mark and not forgetting Pauline :)

The theme and the music are wonderful. Personally I didn't rate the homemade pie, but Rob loved his burger and fries. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

While visiting Blackpool with my sister we stumbled across this food place. Loved the retro diner atmosphere it presented however not so keen on the food served. Starters were very basic- we both had garlic mushrooms which you can't really go wrong with. We then opted for steaks. Both were served overcooked than what we had asked for while ordering- rare had no pink. Even the cider we had to drink was served flat thought they did replace them at not extra cost. Overall not somewhere I would choose to eat again. More suited to family dining than what we were looking for.

Great breakfast, all freshly cooked, service with a smile.Evening meals are available and are amazing again all freshly cooked. We had rib eye steak for main cooked to perfection Kim even made us peppercorn sauce. Home made coleslaw tasted amazing the best we have eaten in a long time.The steak pie is amazing too loads of juicy meat and amazing pastry.Morgan's is a great place to eat and great value for money

Didn't book ,Morgan's accommodated 7 of us who were on a 40th , it felt like we had been whisked into a 60's American diner,great food and the milkshakes were Fantastic
