Best haddock supper I've had on a while.

Always great food from this establishment with a great reputation, and it lives up to it !

Wonderful service and amazing quality.

Phoned order at 18.37 and told 50 minutes. Got a call at 19.06 confirming battered smoked sausage was ordered plus other items. Called them at 19.59 asking where order was. It was finally delivered 20.05. It had obviously been sat on hot plate for near an hour, was hard, dried out and cold. Whole lot in the bin. Really disappointed as usually good. Won't be back.

Wad a bit disappointed in the battered white pudding. Not much flavour.. very bland. On the plus side the dog liked it

The fish is lovely, going to try either the Black or White pudding tonight, hopits as good as the fish

Food was ok but when I got home some of the order was missing

Location is terrible. As others have opined, the service and quality of fare has fallen precipitously since the onset of the pandemic.

I think it's the best fish n chips in Dundee and I've tried most the rest. I wouldn't waste time or money anywhere else. It’s that good that it justifies the entire invasion of Ukraine in order that they keep frying.

Staff are so friendly and very professional food is fantastic.

Ordered a fish and chips they arrived about 40 minutes later cold and soggy uncooket batter, i also ordered a bottle of coke and that was in the same bag as fish and chip, all went in the bin and definitely wont be shipoing there again.Disgusted

ARBROATH ROAD CHIPPY. This isn't the first time the boyf and I have been to Mordente's for fish and chips, and it certainly won't be the last. I ordered the single jumbo haddock with mushy peas and the boyf got a single steak pie, portion of fritters and a portion of onion rings. The onion rings were amazing and got scoffed straight away!! The boyf says they are probably the best he's tasted. And he's tasted a lot of onion rings!!! My fish was beautiful, and it came on its own wee paper plate. Perfect for munching in the car. The batter was nice and crispy with hardly any grease and the fish was lovely and flakey. Mushy peas are mushy peas. Canna go wrong. The boyfs steak pie was really good. The steak chunks were meaty with no gristle or unwanted fatty bits. The gravy looked really rich and thick too. The batter for the fritters was nice, light and crisp. Again, hardly any grease. Only complaint I had is maybe the steak.pie could've done with its own wee plate too..but apart from that, the service and food was amazing!! 10's all round!!!! Sorry there are no pictures of the fritters and onion rings.

We have just had a great fish supper, fish was massive, batter was very crispy. Chip also great... Great value for money!

I've just had a take away for several things which I must say are usually very nice. Unfortunately this time king ribs were like rubber, had no taste and I think it will stop me going back there for a chippie tea.

Parents and I had Jumbo Haddock suppers tonight. Parents shared theirs. Fish melted in the mouth and was completely boneless, as advertised. I've had fish from many chip shops in my years, but Mordente's is the best I - and my parents - have had in a while. Well worth the money, and handily placed to catch a lot of passing trade.

Nice and clean,, fresh as can be chips and fritters were spot on....

My Father was working over in Dundee back in 2004. And to ight was remembering a place he went to almost every day he was there as he said it was the best fish and chips he has ever had! We had to look all over Google maps at the different places..and once he saw your store front he jump and was very happy! Not sure if it is the same owners as back in 2004 but he thanks you for the great food and wonderful memories and the treatment he had when he came in. Thx.

Very clean shop but the cooking i thought was rank alright for someone who likes half a inch thick with batter the last time i will be back

Got delivery food was asked to be put in foil. Which didn't get done food was cold and driver with glasses didn't give change. Phoned the shop and all I got was what am I suppose to do... attitude terrible and driver a theif not given change. My delivery was 8.65 and I gave him 10 pound NO Change terrible ..

You don't have to wait long and everything is made fresh the food is great

This place is always busy but you dont mind because the staff are always nice and the food is fresh cooked, i ordered amongst other things a jumbo fish supper , fresh cooked and a very good size, quite difficult to park near when it is tea time but a bit of patience is all you need.Always worth it!!

A small fish supper was a great size, fish was cooked fresh to order and delicious. Flaky white fish and crunchy golden batter. Shop looked clean and tidy, smily service

Went here last night totally dissatisfied with our order got . Jumbo fish supper . Pie supper. Black pudding. Curry sauce and chips . Fish could have swum away in the grease. Chips under cooked . Black pudding rock hard pie rock hard. Over£17 for our food which was unedible so had to bin it. I know the shop was very busy as we phoned and had to wait for over half an hour when we went to collect it normally it's very good but this was a total let down añd don't think we will be back here

Fish was a disappointment, standard size fish which is a normal fish cut in half short changed in chips. Won't be back.

This place is normally spot on every time but tonight it all went in the bin. The mushy peas consisted of a few peas swimming in green water, and the fish so over cooked you had to have a drink between bites to get it down it was so dry! We'll be giving this place a miss from now on.

So disappointed with mordente’s tonight, fish was all soggy not crispy , was only 2 minutes in car so not long in wrapper
