Moon Under Water - JD Wetherspoon in Ealing

Visited here last weekend while over for Peter Kay. Food, drink and building was great cannot fault the bar staff or the food in any way. The setting is fantastic, what a great building. Now the reason for the three star rating, so my we are a middle aged couple, never usually have an issue with bouncers, however the bouncer I came across after around eight pm was very arrogant and definitely put me off coming back. When I go out for an evening I intend to have a pleasurable day, I don’t go out to be spoken to like I am a child or treated as if the bouncers are doing me a favour by letting me in. It can be clearly seen that we are a middle aged couple, it’s my choice where I go to spend my money, I’m not going to lower myself by massaging a bouncers ego, you are not doing me a favour by letting me in, you don’t own the bar. For this reason I won’t be back, I was going to give a lower rating, however I thought it would be unfair to the rest of the other very good staff.

Locale caldissimo senza condizionatori… l’aria è praticamente irrespirabile. Le ordinazioni vanno fatte al banco o tramite qr code. Abbiamo optato per questa modalità. Ordinato fish & chips, pizze e contorni vari. Su cibo possiamo stendere un velo pietoso ma quello che non riesco a sopportare è di essere entrato nell’unico locale londinese che serve birra calda. Ho chiesto la sostituzione della bevanda ma non hanno dato seguito alla mia richiesta. Secondo loro la birra‘andava bevuta cosi’ . Mi sono sentito preso in giro e mi è dispiaciuto di aver dovuto sopportare la scortesia del personale senza poter fare nulla. Sconsiglio vivamente.

As normal excellent service. I ordered a Xmas panini with soup but didn’t realise that the app hadn’t added my free drink (this was because the one I selected had run out) my error. I quickly went up to the bar where Abbi sorted it out within seconds. Win win for me. I always have a pleasant time during the day and evening, never a dull moment and this evening all 3 “Moto” girls were on together. They make your laugh and are great company. Give this place a try excellent stuff! By the way ALL the staff are great

So breakfast comes with fried egg I ask if can have poached egg to be told I have to pay extra to have poached. Didn’t realise a fried egg was different . I thought it was the same egg no matter how it was cooked !!!!

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Enjoyed a refreshing beer alongside a burger. Was delicious. The chips were slightly over cooked for my liking, but still had a lovely flavour. Service was lovely. Workers very smiley and kindhearted. One lady working was especially considerate and clearly has a great sense of customer service!

The staff and manager are excellent. Very great service but pathetic customer. I suppose it was bad luck. This old man was telling my black wife to go back to her country. She didn't mention to me until he left because he knows I would have lost it. She took his picture and this is the abuser. He is a racist and shouldn't be allowed into the pub again. This was at wetherspoon hounslow.

Peter, the manager made us feel welcome. He made room for our party of five whilst it was insanely busy on a Friday evening. Will definitely pop in again.

Early breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning, quality was excellent and the bar was well organised and efficient no complaints!

This bar has certainly gone downhill. Had breakfast here and as in the past it was served cold. The toilets were disgusting and clearly had not been cleaned from the night before. The tables were dirty and the staff were rude. I certainly won’t be visiting this dump again ☹️☹️

Really good food, and even better service. A lovely little place on the high street, good for lunch, dinner or even just a quick drink.

Called in for a quick visit on way to Euston and a much needed break from the midday sun. Nice spoons on Leicester Sq next to the Odeon concern. Very popular with outdoor seating. Through summer there are free open air film screenings in Leicester Sq so more reason to attend and this is a great place to refresh.

What a great end to the night, in a great location, with reasonable prices. What more could you ask for. Was only going to stop for one, but with those prices decided to stay. Need I say more.

We all know Spoons and this is typical, it is very busy, cheap and good value for food and drink. Situated in Leicester Square, this is a little oasis of affordability among the high end prices of the Capital. Look no further if you are in the area and wanting something to eat at a reasonable price. Staff very friendly.

Not sure if the address above is the wright one but we went to this named pub in the heart of Leicester square by the Shakespeare statue. Busy pub and hard to find a table, but no wonder as the reasonably priced food and drinks are a lot less than the surrounding eateries. Small outside area. App service available here. Gotta love a spoons

Been in here a few times. Always struggle to find a table. But it is a very nice pub. Love the wetherspoons app. Just order your drinks and they arrive at your table if you find one.

Went there for an easy fast meal with colleagues , we where surprised by the quality and big portions of the meals! We ordered at the bar and 5 min after the meals where ready and tasted good as on top for a very fair price!! Minus are the greasy menue cards on the table, but beside that a welcoming place We will come again on our next stop in Hounslow.

Every time we visit London we always end up here! The location is great in the heart of Leicester Square and as usual for Wetherspoons food/drink prices are good. Have always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. Have eaten breakfast and dinner here. The vegetarian breakfast is great and especially love the halloumi wrap with sweet chili sauce.

Siempre busca un JD Wetherspoons donde estamos, ya que ofrecen buena comida con gran variedad de cervezas. Esta no es la excepción, pero lo que lo hace es la ubicación.Sentamos en una gloriosa gente el domingo por la tarde viendo en una ubicación de primera en Londres. La comida y bebidas nos hubiera costado mucho más en cualquiera de los establecimientos vecinos.Buena experiencia, pero tienen un menú reducido de otros JDW visitó.Volveremos.

Quality price is really good. I eat a burger, chips and a pint for 7 pounds. Pint are really cheap compared to other pubs in the area

La comida era buena, el ambiente también. Lugar muy concurrido, se necesita un poco de suerte para encontrar una mesa, pero la gente entrar y salir todo el tiempo. El servicio es un poco pobre y no siempre está en una buena ubicación, así que estoy yendo bastante a menudo.

Fuimos a cenar, la hora del almuerzo el Viernes 17 de diciembre de 2016 y estaba muy contento con el público de la casa, su ubicación y la comida que nos dieron. La única decepción fue la selección de cervezas que eran muy pobres para cucharas.

Un lugar muy agradable tener comida típica en el medio de la ciudad a un precio asequible! No te puedes equivocar en la cena Wetherspoon! Servicio rápido y agradable ambiente! ¡Lo recomiendo!

For a pub chain that always complains about tax on beer may bethel should stop the match day tax £1 a pint extra on match day until 10 pm

Prices good,pub clean,food great .sit in or outside. Only down side as soon as you put a glass down its taken waitress even tried cleaning table while we were eating.

We went for a pre show meal and the food was not the best fish and chips and steak meal we had had in many Wetherspoons we had used previously but obviously very good value for money with a free drink.Long wait cos busy n chips cold and no tatare served.Steak ok.

visited the pub with my wife I had the festival steak pie it was excellent I have never seen it on a menu up north. my wife had a burger and salad which was as ever excellent they have a good array of real ale and drinks we found that wetherspoons on average are £10 cheaper then other pub dinning so they do get full would recommend

Visited on 13/2/15 and was very impressed by the food, atmosphere and the overall value of the pub! :) what a brilliant find in the middle of such a busy place :) Will definitely be visiting again

Você entra e o lugar é muito bonito, com uma decoração clássica e elegante. Você pensa que não é pro seu bico, mas olha o cardápio e encontra muitas opções de menu lanche e batata/salada + pint por £6,50. Escolha feita, é só ir ao balcão no melhor estilo pub e lançar seu pedido :)

Stayed in posh hotel in Leicester square that wanted fortune for breakfast. Saw on here it was good and gave it a try, my wife and I loved it! Big well cooked full English at great price. Came out quick too

If you are in central London and require a refuelling stop, then look no further. Firstly the prices are astonishingly cheap but as importantly the quality is excellent. Four of us ordered steak, three medium rare and one rare. It is not often in this country that steaks are cooked properly but these were perfect - tender, juicy and tasty - well done chef. At the time of eating eight real ales were available and there was also a selection of Lagers for the tasteless members of society. It was busy but service was quick and pleasant.
