Not impressed at all food wasn't all that good ,not much selection on pudding apart from fruit and ice cream. Sign on the door stating 21.95 adults 11.95 children to be then billed for 4 adults when asked why was told its under 10 for a child that's disgraceful. Wouldn't recommend at all

Not sure why this place has such a bad rep. Lots of food options and tasted as you'd expect an all you can eat buffet to taste its not a five star restaurant people. Overal I enjoyed my food and the place was clean.

I usually try a restaurant before reading reviews but I've been told by locals this place has gone way down since its restaurant/strawberry days,I've now read reviews & gonna give it a miss ,shame as 15 to 20 mates go out each month to eat & try our local places, shame but reviews was the tipping point for us not to waste our fuel

Never seen anything like it definitely won’t even reccomend trying to call people stupid 2 hour wait time on a Sunday three days I’ve tried phoning after work twice they have given a 2 hour wait time or said at 8 o’clock there not doing delivery’s anymore!! Save your time people go else where loll

Terrible how long they make you wait to pick up food. Said half 7 wasn’t ready till 8 15 and this isn’t the first time!

Awful. Would not recommend. We had a takeaway from here after a 6 hr drive down for our week holiday and beyond disappointed. Cost way too much for the quality we received. The duck was just fat bits and hardly any meat for £20! We ordered mixed vegetables in ginger and spring onion and it was just onions (see picture below) the bbq sauce was like glue! Just awful. We called the restaurant to express how disappointed we were, we spoke to a manager who was lovely and sympathetic but couldn’t offer us any money back without speaking to the owner. Promised a call back the following day and didn’t hear anything we chased it and the owner refused to offer us anything but 10% which was 7.90 and advised that is just how they make it. We didn’t even eat hardly any of it. Won’t be returning.

I just rang up to get a delivery at 905pm and got told they can't as delivery driver is going home. We live in mullion and is the only place that delivers there. So now we have to starve tonight as can't get anything else where. Not happy. Don't think I'll be using these again. Menat to deliver until 10pm. What a joke

Casual Chinese restaurant which has tasty food. Very chilled out members of staff and even tho we were there for hours the staff didn’t push us out or pressure us.

Its a very quiet place,some of the food is over cooked,Most of the staff just stand there doing nothing, they Dont answer ur calls if u phone but some of the food is nice as well ngl (if ur expecting Chinese interior or Chinese people working here Dont come it’s very British there’s pirate fm playing in the background and British teens,2 adults working here)

Owner should be ashamed After being a customer for over 5 years I’m disappointed and disgusted with our last takeaway. So much so I rang and politely complained. Simone the manager was understanding and apologetic but any refund had to go through the ( not local) owner…. I sent photographs of disgusting foul smelling and tasting bbq ribs. I could hear the chef being told they were bad… black and bad…! The chefs special rice had the disgusting bbq sauce dribbled on the top and two pieces of chicken! Noodles weren’t the same in vermicelli/ Singapore noodles and the spring rolls have halved in size. I am still awaiting a phone call from the owner as her message response was appalling. Awful spelling and no customer service. I will be taking this further and contacting relevant agencies as the food is not up to a standard. Her disregard to complaints is not acceptable. If you receive something (anything) that is not to a certain standard then you are entitled to a refund. Our takeaway was definitely not to any standard.

Our party of four arrived on a Sunday evening for the buffet to find that it wasn't on. However we were offered a buffet menu that allows you to select as much food as you wanted. I have to say at first we were a little dubious, but we need not have been, the food was very tasty and fresh tasting. The staff were friendly and pleasant and called regularly to the table to see if we wanted anything else. Only down side, very little in the way of choice for sweets and the wife didn't get her prawn crackers, even after a reminder 😂 But we would definitely go again.

Can't fault the food or the service, it was extremely nice and tasty, it was very quiet when we went , not very busy dining in.. but I could see there were a lot of takeaway orders going out , we went for the buffet, but unfortunately, this is only available on a weekend, in all .. The food did not disappoint, it could work on the atmosphere a little, maybe a little music in the background, as it was very quiet..

Food is ok, the waitresses are either uninterested or unfriendly. The ambience is cheap.

Got My takeaway order completely wrong all the food was cold and the sweet and sour chicken I didn't order was like eating mush....worst Chinese I've ever had.

Price seems to increase everytime we go but variety of food gets less and less. Young, inexperienced staff who stand around alot on phones or chatting. Food often not as warm as it should be. Alot of money for not much choice. Drinks often flat as poured from 2ltr bottles.

Place my order before six p.m.. Told my delivery will be six to seven p.m.. It’s now ten past seven and I receive nothing ! I had a chow mein chicken and mushroom and a special fried rice at cost me twenty two pounds daylight bloody robbery I will never ever eat here again disgusting.

absolutely APPALLING. as someone who owns several restaurants across the country i would never let anything like this slide.we arrived for a birthday dinner as we over heard the manager on the phone arguing with a to-be-customer and aggressively hanging up. as we walked up to the food we realised it was cold and was sitting there for a while. when i plated my noodles the entire plate stunk. stupidly, i still decided to give it a try. the noodles were dry and hard. we went up to try another food and got the sweet and sour hong kong style chicken. the MAIN food people go to a chinese restaurant to buy. HORRIBLE. it was watered down and tasted like cardboard. as we were so disgusted by the food we told the manager and she said there was nothing she could do about it other than cook food that was as she quoted “warmer”, what does she mean “warmer” was the food not fresh, was she just reheating it, we complained so she gave us the business owners number and was greeted with disgustingly rude attitude and a shouting fest. never would i ever wish this place on my worst enemy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Went there for my brothers birthday , we love Chinese food however we have never had an experience so bad in our life. We were not happy with anything and we made this clear then the workers and owner tried to deny us on our own opinion and started being hostile . Terrible experience do not recommend!!!

My meal came without long beans (green beans), I was told it didn't come with long beans, this insipid looking dish I could have made at home for a tenth of the price. The menu clearly says that long beans came with the dish. I wasn't even corrected at the counter when I ordered yet I have been told I am wrong. The photos clearly show the menu and what was ordered and what actually came. As a long time customer I am disgusted at how rude the staff were including the manger. I have ordered this dish on and off for yrs and it has always come with long beans (green beans) before. One staff member cut off the call yet I'm told that wasn't the case even though I didn't touch my phone during the call at all. I was being put on hold multiple times so the restaurant staff were much more likely to have cut me off (even if by accident) but telling the customer they are wrong is really poor customer service. I have been buying food from this restaurant for 5+yrs considering I live local to the area. I can honestly say after this experience, I won't ever be back and I won't recommend this place to anyone else. I don't care that it's the summer school holidays and you are busy, being utterly rude to your customer base is a no-no. I don't care how frustrated the customer is, you don't cut them off, you don't imply they are lying and you certainly shouldn't be rude to them.

Rude staff, incorrect food given plus the staff insisted they were correct even though half the dishes ingredients were missing. Menu even stated that other ingredients would be present (vegetables). Dish came with zero veggies, staff refused to refund or compensate or even acknowledge they were wrong. I have been going to this restaurant since they opened, won't be going back again.

Our first time trying the buffet here & it was nice (we'd previously eaten here several times before when they didn't have the buffet). Good selection of dishes - a few could have been more flavourful, but overall, we were happy and paid less than we would have without the set price. They get a big thumbs up from us. 👍🏼

Well what can I say no price anywhere until you pay £21.95 . Bad bits Plates cold warmer not working Soup no seasoning had to add soy sauce. All the label where old could not read to see what we where eating. Food luke warm Cheesecake left in warm restaurant Ice cream was the cheapest you could buy from Tesco. Pro Pancake rolls where great. I will stick to Dynasty Restaurant penzance buffet £16.95.

Odd is the overall feel of this place, strange location, staff not approachable or helpful. Food is not worth what you pay for it. We went fairly early, eating about 7pm. The staff were literally loitering by the table for us to leave at 8:50pm despite the massive space being literally empty. Don’t waste your money.

Good food, better service, and atmosphere is okay. The food is traditional Chinese fare, but mostly served by non-Chinese people. I like a truly authentic Chinese experience, so I would prefer that the whole thing be cooked and served in that way. I would also say that I noticed some parts of the building were not decorated that well. A lot could be done to showcase the good food, in a better way.

We had delivery and it was messed up and sent to the wrong village. I asked for delivery and told them the address clearly and then told me that I’d given them a completely different address. The food was lovely as usual but the service and lack of apology was slightly un-needed. The delivery lady was lovely and was very apologetic for the delayed delivery

Not well managed. Quoted a price, "somebody new was on the phone". Delivery driver turns up asking for extra. None of this had been communicated by the restaurant. So driver had to lose his tip. Called restaurant no apology. Snotty person on phone. Food is good mind. But won't order again now

We ordered from here tonight, staying in a holiday park nearby (8miles away). The lady on the phone was lovely, the prices was spot on. The delivery was really really quick (35 mins), the driver was lovely, the food was hot and extremely tasty. Its a shame we don't live nearby or this would be a weekly occurrence!!! If only the Chinese restaurants closer to us was this good.

Food good. Verrrrry dodgy potholes driving in. Nearly turned around but as it was ordered commited.

This was our first visit, we had been put off by negative reviews, but thought we would try it for ourselves. The food was excellent and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. One thing that is slightly off-putting is the outside. It doesn't look inviting and there is rubbish sitting about. We will be visiting again. Several visits later, a little disappointed that the buffet has meat or fish in almost every choice, so I can't use it. The only chefs special, a bean curd dish has fish sauce in it. Seems bonkers to offer one choice only and then add fish. Anyway less choice means fewer calories.

Just had a home delivery. On a thursday!!.. was absolutely lush.. compliments to the chef.

We had the buffet tonight. Really enjoyed trying all the dishes and they were delicious. Staff are really friendly and take your drinks order quickly and also clear the empty plates with alacrity. Thoroughly recommend.

Had a meal from hear twice this week as we were in holiday thought why not, I have to say the delivery service was very good and so was the food, there was plenty there to eat, pancake rolls were amazing sweet and sour chicken balls lovely and so was the beef with mushrooms, the next one beef curry rice and chips lovely and plenty of it we have had food here before when we come away and can be a bit hit and miss, always expect to pay more when being away but for the amount you get I can complain would recommend

Wasn’t busy enough for them to deem worth it updating the food. Loads of dishes missing or low. Concentrated on takeaways more. Some bits which were had were good.

Took a punt for a holiday takeaway after recommendation from a local. We weren't disappointed! Food was best chinese I've ever had and although we didn't eat in, the views from in the restaurant were great, when we collected! Staff were efficient and great to deal with. Might be a bit out of town but VERY worth it. Left a menu at holiday cottage to spread the word.

Sweet and sour, no sour, lots of MSG. Crispy wonton no filling, just pastry!!!! Dry spare ribs very nice.

Food on buffet lovely but there was four members of staff stood around on there phones not doing anything not clearing tables and not quick on serving you drinks at our table think the manager needs to sort there staff out paying them for standing around and not paying any attention to there customers.

Takeaway order. The young female staff member ignored me although there was no one waiting. No greeting, no interest. Stood at the far end of the bar. Other staff seemed aware if her attitude. Dropped the food on the counter without a word. Walked away while I was saying thank you. I know she was young but she was dire. Have ordered here few times never met such a grim welcome. Didn’t help that they got the order wrong. My wife doesn’t eat pork which is why she ordered prawns! The place was almost empty so busyness not an excuse. Not good

So good that we went there twice during our hols in Lizard. The first was a takeaway and kids hoovered it down and our last day was celebrated with a buffet there. The food was great, portions was equally impressive and the buffet was extensive including ice cream, lollies and for the repentant glutton; a nice fruit salad counter too. Lovely staff to match. The views at the back of the place (outside space) was spectacular with miles of view over rolling fields. We think you will love this place.

Very disappointed in the place , wasn’t told that it was a buffet evening when I booked a table for four, food was cold plates we’re cold staff we’re unprofessional and unhelpful, the food was overpriced for the quality could have spent the same amount of money in a proper restaurant and had a good experience, never mind won’t be going back, hopefully this will help others not waste their money and time like I did.

Worst Chinese and a big scam. We came in. Everything looked lovely and clean. We wanted to order normally but the teenagers working there, told us, that they’re only doing buffet tonight. So we went with it. To this point everything was ok. And I am personally NOT a picky person. I would eat everything. So I got a small plate, because they only had those, and I started putting things on my plate. Everything was quite greasy and too cold for me. The older Lady was walking around the tables and that made me feel uncomfortable because I like it quiet when I eat. But that’s not the worst part. On the table there was a list, and on the list in said that the buffet for 1 adult is £ 16. We were charged as 3 adults, even tho one of us was a child. But anyway, when we paid they told us that for 1 adult the buffet is £18. All together is was about £60. A BIG SCAM. If you have a look at their normal menu, 1 MEAL WOULD BE ABOUT £7-8.DONT go there, if you want to have your taste buds ruined;)

Worst Chinese we have ever had. Staff was more interested in their phones than us. We went for early dinner around 5:30pm and the dishes looked like leftover from lunch. Very limited choices, incredibly greasy and fatty. Picked up a spring roll and oil was dripping from it. Same with other dishes. Few slices of cheesecake on a plate for dessert, all dried out and old. Found it very pricey too!! We did love the fortune cookie tho!

I must admit and I hope the owners don't take this personally but the restaurant was not very Chinese but the food was totally amazing. Gluten free chicken balls that my wife was very pleased with and the rest of our food did not disappoint. One of the best Chinese take aways I have ever had, when we are back this way I will definitely be ordering another meal.

This is my worst experience in the UK. that big woman incharge has terrible manners the restaurant is very nice but the thing is she is the ruining that restaurant. She's very rude to my unwell mother in law I'm not happy the way she talks to us she very RUSH and again very rude 😒

From the second we arrived we were made to feel unwelcome by a larger lady who seemed to be in charge. Our table was booked for 8pm for 5 or us and the lady in charge was rude and saying her staff have to go home tonight sometime sarcasticly. Then we sat down and were instantly hounded to order asap(I guess so they can go home). With the lady in charge continuing to be rude. At this point the atmosphere was ruined and I personally wanted to leave but the others on our table wanted to stick with it. The food came reasonably quick and was average but with a main dish missing. The waitresses did try to resolve the bad atmosphere but the toxic attitude of the big woman totally ruined the experience. The big lady continued to make us feel uncomfortable by turning of any music and dimming/turning off the lights. Terrible experience will not be returning while that woman is working there!

First time visiting, the buffet looks amazing, all though it's only Fri, Sat, Sun 5pm-8pm. The restaurant opens every day at 5pm for take away and dine in Mon- Sun. The salt and pepper spare ribs are beautiful. The crispy chilli chicken was lovely too. Definitely worth the visit if your in Cornwall near Helston...

AVOID!! On holiday in the area and fancied a nice Chinese meal. Unfortunately that’s not what we got. We arrived at 7.30pm and the buffet food was not replenished at all the whole evening. We sat waiting for new dishes to be brought out as it all looked like it had been sat there for hours. It didn’t get replenished so we gave up at 8.15 and tried to find something edible. Dried up rubbery meat and crispy dried noodles and rice were all we had to choose from. Service was poor and just seemed to be young kids trying their best. On the plus side there’s lovely views across the valley from the restaurant windows and garden.

Wow wow wow. I have just had a takeaway from here and the food is sensational. It is hot, tasty and huge portions. I have never tasted a chow mein like it. I loved the brocoli and mangetout that was a lovely addition. The delivery driver was a star, told us good places to visit, wished us a happy stay where we come from its throw the food at you and run. Please give this place a go when your here you won't regret it.

We will always give credit if credit is due. We reviewed our 'local Chinese' a little time ago and had to give it 1 star, however we have decided to rescind this as the last few meals have been superb, a real turnaround. I assume there has been a change of management of at least chefs. Lets hope it stays this way and doesn't revert to our original review (below)..... OLD REVIEW One of the most common jokes on the Lizard "we ordered from Moonbay"..."really did you get what you ordered", NO of course you didn't. A bunch of kids playing at running a restaurant. Ordered at 5pm when they open, order arrives an hour later and not one dish correct. Unfortunately not the first or second time this has happened, and I know lots of people who have had the same problems. Took 20 mins on the phone to get any kind of resolution being passed from yound inexperienced child on the phone to another, to eventually be told, you can have your order at 8.30 when we send the next delivery. Or you can complain on Facebook to the manager (who she admitted won't answer you) A place to avoid on the Lizard. Use a proper Chinese where you get what you order. You may have to go get it yourself, but this dump is best avoided. I was even told I was being threatening when I told them I was going to leave a bad review, obviously a little WOKE up there, being offended by being told they can't do their job.

Incredible Chinese Takeaway and Restaurant, and fantastic value too. Easily one of the best I've been too in terms of food, atmosphere, price, and hospitality. A great selection of drinks as well, highly recommend - never had a bad experience.
