I would give this takeaway 10 out of 10. Excellent service and food. Wide variety of dishes to choose from plus desserts. Quick delivery to your door and very reasonable prices.

Had a takeaway from this place x it was disgusting x ordered chicken tikka rogan Josh the tomatoes were uncooked the sauce so watery no spices in the curry at all. We also ordered meat and paneer curry this had the same sauce that wasn’t cooked and thickened.

Usually get a curry pizza from momins which are always spot on,but last night decided to try their curries instead of our normal and very good takeaway. We ordered four different curries mine being a lamb methi . The curry itself had plenty of lamb but had very little taste or flavour and tasted more like a stew. the other 3 different curries our family ordered got the same comment i.e very little taste or heat .Unfortunately its back to our usual takeaway next time.

The bad reviews on here I'd take with a large pinch of salt- they must be false reviews from rival businesses because we've been coming here for years and never had a bad meal yet. The king prawn Dhansak and lamb Madras are exceptional... packed with huge juicy prawns, loads of lovely tender lamb. Great value offers. Always arrives piping hot and on time. Our go to choice when ordering in. We know a good curry, ignore the haters

Just moved here got a balti munch box . Never again the sauce is a basic Indian gravy laced with spice it unbeatable

Not good. Inedible muck. Save the planet and tell the delivery guy to put this garbage straight into the bin.

Worst takeaway ever. Delivery good and on time. Food tasteless lamb Bhuna , chicken tikka were really inedible. Popadom and garlic snd coriander naan nice. Won’t be coming back.

Ordered a meal last night for £47. It came late but the timing wasn’t the issue. Majority of the meal was inedible and when we rang to complain, we were told to ring tonight to speak to a manager. I was offered £10 refund or a curry! Used Momins often, but never again. So disappointed 😞

I have tried here a few times now, and it is one of my favourites. They make the curry as I ask for and the rest of the the food is always spot on. We have collected on different occasions and it has always been a reasonable collection time. Will be ordering from here again.

Fabulous food everytime and great staff who cater for all, great variety on the menu so you dont have to go elsewhere for the kids, pizzas kebabs curries nuggetts , do a great evening special on a tues thurs and sun which is great value

What has happened to this place was one of my favourite places to get takeaways from going back to when it was on the coast road . Last 2 meals were tasteless and meat was chewy .. Must be using low grade 2nd quality products now And had a change of chef did leave a review on another platform but owner just got defensive and wasn't prepared to address any issues. Which I find strange when we have so many more nice takeaways nearby . Won't be going back now after years of using them

We’ve been looking for another Indian takeaway for a while now since the one we used shut its doors and thankfully saw an ad for Momins on FB and looked up reviews on here and gave them a try - Honestly without doubt the best Indian takeaway we’ve had, we had the ‘standard’ portion but if you have a large appetite you can ‘go big’ for an extra £1.00 !! TBH the standard portion was more than enough for us and the Onion Bahjis were absolutely massive and delicious to boot , the Chicken in the curry was top quality breast meat and plenty of it and rice top quality. All in all so happy we’ve tried Momins and it’ll be our go to takeaway for the future - 5 star hygiene cert and really busy which speaks for itself ! Can’t recommend more highly and can only say ‘give it a go’ - you won’t be disappointed!

I've used this restaurant for years and have never been disappointed. Food is always fresh and tasty and the menu choice is huge. Delivery is prompt and friendly.

After a long search, we finally found an Indian takeaway that did phall sauce using chillies instead of chilli powder. My takeaway today was dismal. Phall sauce was just powdery and lacked any substance. No potato, and lamb was dry and hard. The onion raita was just yogurt heaped onto chopped onion. Come on man, after at least 3 orders that were great, you serve up this? Your standards have clearly dived, (or your chef has changed). Not coming back. Totally dismal quality.

Ordered a curry and a kebab. The curry was very dry and the lamb was tough. No base gravy seemed to have been added. It was just dry meat with three bits of tomato on top. It barely tasted like a curry. The onion pilau had no onion. It lacked any flavour. The donner kebab was cut really thickly and was also very dry and without flavour. The salad was a very small bad of sliced onion. No red cabbage or any other vegetables that usually come with a kebab.

As usual,we had tandoori mixed Kebab from here. Amazing!really good. The salad and sauce are amazing,then the mixed kebab was incredible!love this restaurant.

We have been using this takeaway now for 18 months and the staff have always been very polite and helpful the food is very consistent and they use good quality meats for their curries 10 out of 10 👍👌

Fabulous food great service and lovely staff. Well worth a visit. Definitely recommend the king prawn first class railway curry and the chicken chana dhall. Will most certainly be going back to try more of the chef specialities and momin's creations.

Eat from here at least once a week and the choice and quality of food is 1st class, never had a bad meal,boxes are really good value and plenty if choice, see you next week momins 😊

We got a recommendation for this takeaway .Looked on the Internet and fb conflicting info on opening times .so decided to go and see for ourselves. We drove from Dudley .It actually opens @1pm on Sunday Lunch. First time we have had food from momins paid for food waited in the car 26 mins ....... got home opened the cartons to piping hot lovely tasting food ...... well worth the trip I read some of the reviews on here before I went ,good job I egnored the bad ones . Defo give it a try for yourself .....

The food from Momin's is amazing. The staff are so friendly. The takeaway is always hot when it arrives. Perfect.

Kebabe nan, chicken tikka nan and cheesy chips, loads of meat and chunky chips smoothered in cheese served on a nan, not your usual Indian take away but nice for a night in watching a film with a cold beer.Food was spot on and delivery was quick, ordered on uber eats and will be using again, no complaints.

Terrible service in just eat. Ordered at 18.35 eventually hot cold food at 20.40. Never had chicken tikka without salad snd mint yoghurt before until tonight. Tikka, rice snd Nan £17.25. That j will never get back. Food not even good. Never be back.

Ordered chefs speciality, Green Bengal with peshwari nan and a side of chips my other half ordered lamb Rogan josh. Awful no spice at all in lamb , it was tender but tastesd like a lamb stew yuk. Not a king prawn in site for mine only tiny shrimps. Tastesd uncooked strange taste too. Chips were dreadful dried chinks of off cut potatoes as for nan no peshwari that too very dry. Never ordering again and fingers crossed my tum ok tonight.

Had a delivery and it was on time to the minute that was planned. The food was hot tasty and plenty of it. Would recommend to anyone with a taste for quality. Well done

We ordered takeaway through just eat. They delivered the wrong order. I called them immediately and within 30 mins we had the correct order. Got to keep the incorrect order and got a voucher. Happy customer

Never ordered from here before despite living near, the food was absolutely delicious, chicken was so tender and fresh it almost melted in your mouth. Portion sizes very generous too, my son doesn’t like Indian food so we ordered him pizza which again he said was delicious, the pizza dough was very fresh and not greasy like some places. Order arrived at the time we stated and delivery driver very polite. Would definitely use again for Indian and pizza.

We've used Momins regularly for 10+ years now and the food is usually very good. However in the past few months we've had a few issues with our food collection order not being what we ordered or items missing. Our last order was at the start of the covid19 lockdown, we decided still to support our local takeaway business despite being around 4 miles away. However once again our food order was incomplete and not the right items ordered. When we complained to manager he wasn't happy and verbally abusive to a woman as we had complained "too many times" and he no longer wanted our business. What the manager failed to understand was that in a food service business...You have to get the paying customers order correct or be willing to correct your mistakes. We only ever complained when they failed to deliver what was actually ordered!! Thankfully we've found a few better takeaways locally with higher quality indian food, coupled with better attitudes and customer service. What a shame... Momins used to be brilliant but now seems to be focused on quantity of orders over quality of orders.

Momins is a curry house that we have only used for delivery food but, can report the food is always good, well packed and as the menu. Their Onion Bhajis and Naan Breads are both excellent and their dishes are always ample. The only observation of criticism would be that sometimes the curries are a little hotter than would have been expected but, that is of course objective. Value for money is good, speed of delivery is too and menu range excellent. Definitely recommended.

Good choice and good quality meals. Great service, recommend kashmiri, masala and malayan.. Lots f chips which are nicely cooked.

I recently won one of their Facebook competitions. Food was brilliant, excellent portion sizes, very tasty food. Used Momins for nearly 10 years, was over the moon to win their competition as to receive their food for nothing is an absolute bonus!

Amazing food and service, 5 stars all around, including a very good service from driver Kev, who was very polite.

2 and a half hours. I ordered via uber ests, they excepted. 45mins later I check the app and momins is then unavailable and closed till 5pm..?! I ring, no answer, I rang uber eats, they finally get through. Order will be sent asap. And hour later, still no food. I ring uber eats back as they are still not answering their phone to me. "They are waiting for a driver" for 2.5hours?! Are u kidding me?! Cancel it... I'll eat elsewhere. Wont be going back to momins again anytime soon

Really disappointed at the poor quality of the food I have been delivered from Momins tonight. Onions bhaji’s with no flavour whatsoever, not a single spice in sight, just batter and bland onions, and nit many onions at that... the chicken tikka main was totally bland, how can you make bland Indian food??? It all ended up in the bin I’m afraid.. inedible at best....

We ordered a family meal, the customer service was excellent, then the delivery came on time, the food portions were plentiful and the quality was top notch I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this takeaway to anyone who loves Indian food we will make momins our regular Indian takeaway!

I have been going to this takeaway for many years at its old location and current location. The food is deliscious and fantastic value for money and all the meals and ive tried many are all quality. We even had a large party at our house and they supplied all the food and even threw in some free extras . Faz and his staff are very friendly and nothing is any trouble for them !

Had a bad experience a few month ago thought we would give another go... Highly disappointed again!! Food was luke warm. And got two small pizzas instead of one large.. Asked for pepperoni.. Got salami!!! Never again..why not just ring customers and tell them you've ran out instead of just assuming a alternative?? Won't be getting another chance from us again!!!

I ordered shami kebab, chicken tikka adrak (medium), rice and chapati. The main course I received was chicken tikka balti (hot) which was far too spicy for me and the chicken wass dry too. Nothing about the rest of the meal stood out. Very disappointed.

Had a family meal from here, couldnt fault the food or the service, the shop was so busy 10 of us waiting and phones ringing constantly, staff do a great job, even offered us a can of pop while we waiting. Definately our number one takeaway

Staff at this place are great nothing to much trouble to them, tried the other new kebab box it was gorgeous! Got a new kids box aswell that kids really enjoyed, it was our wily treat but last few weeks we've been twice a week it's so nice and so much to try on the menu, well done momins keep it up

Tried new house special kebab box, came with masala pots it was awesome, could only manage half . Little ones had chicken nuggets and pizza and cleared their plate. Great to see faz and his staff back. Fantastic food and service

We tried Momins for the 1at time since we are now around the courner from there. So glad we did! Chicken tikka kebab was delicious, full of flavour and very generous portion size so great value for money! The extras we got were also amazing, our new fave Indian takeaway shop!

Curry’s were really nice and tasty. The starter was lovely we ordered Bhuna king prawns and mix kebab. We asked for the curries to be Punjabi style (thicker) and it was spot on!

Me and my family visited Momins this month, after hearing they changed ownership. We were a bit wary in ordering. But when we went in the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered lamb balti and chicken rogan josh. It was one of the best curries we have had in a long time. Full of flavour. Will be back soon. Nice to see the family back in their business.

Visit this place on a regular basis always been my favourite but looks like its changed hands, chips were soft and greasy and the curry was so oily and tasteless, not the normal staff when i collected.very disappointing wont going back!

Been a regular here now for a while and they keep adding to the menu.the boxes are amazing and great value for money .they now have a £10 box that easily did 3 of us . Munch boxes are lovely to. Staff will do anything to help if you dont like an item theyve always changed it for me without a problem. Cant rate them enough!

Ordered a meal at 20.10 for delivery in approx 45 minutes! Had to contact Momin's to ask where food was. Over 1.5hrs later the food arrived (21.45) - hardly the best time of day to be eating a meal. They usually email to say when food is on the way, so what could have prevented them from emailing to say there was a delay. Food is always lovely, but their delivery times leave a lot to be desired.

Really tasty food, ordered two of the six course specials and a delux six course special. Really good value, so much so have enough for another supper tomorrow for 3 adults. Delivery guy really pleasant - and as well as us, our next door neighbour and a neighbour down the street all ordered for the same time. What’s the odds on that. Will order again, highly recommended, nice to have an Indians that’s not swimming in ghee and tasty.

Im a regular at momins, every week i order as i find its the best takeaway food in the area. We tried a munch box, excellent value and fed 3 of us.plenty garlic chips we chose mosala sauce, onion bajis, chicken pakoras, chicken tikka, sheek kebab, so much for your money. The curries are so full of flavour aswell and plenty chicken.cant beat momins, we love it

usually get food from here quite often but the past few times the food has been awful tonight was the worst one we have had when our indian pizza arrived the toppings on both mine and my boyfriends pizza were completely off and smushed around the pizza box. the taste of the pizza was horrible and made us feel sick we couldn't finish it. then the sauce tubs had split down the side so there was sauce everywhere!!! absolutely no flavour in the food what so ever! will not be ordering from here ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More suitable as a pizza/kebab shop. Tried curry and biryani could not get native taste of Punjab, probably up here community have not got chance to try Punjabi curry or biryani as they are rare up north like Luggi khan, still feeling greasy.

Tried the new kebab boxes, had mossala box which came in a large pizza box with a large nan loads of chips and moss sauce Tikka and kebab meat for only £10 it fed 3 of us , asked if I could have same but with a different sauce and it wasn't a problem, it's what we love about this place theyl change anything to your liking, absolutely gorgeous momins

Momins now do kebab boxes and their amazing, 10inch or 12 inch pizza box with a huge nan bread covered with kebab meat chicken tikka and loads of chips with your favourite sauce ontop ( mossala , madras and balti ) are all the ones I've tried and only £8 or £10, the £10 one did all 3 of us, got to be tried their gorgeous

Been ordering at momins for quite some time now and I honestly can't fault the place, the food is 1st class always to a high standard , weekends can take a little longer for delivery but that tells you something, the place is busy and popular, ordered to collect this time and the staff there are brilliant, welcoming and will cater for your every need, wouldn't go anywhere else, keep up the fab work guys and c u next week :-)

Well tonight this place lost a good customer.....ive never had much of a problem with food and the delivery drivers are great however after getting my order wrong twice and trying to blame me for this fault over the phone; stating I hadnt told them ALL of the missing items the first time, as well as having to go and collect the rest of the order myself, leading to a heated discussion is far too much for me.....all I wanted was a "sorry" but NNOOOO that is too much for them, they are great at playing the victim though, high 5 to that performance. They have no consideration for their customers at all!!

He probado varios restaurantes indios para llevar en la zona y es, de lejos, y Momins lejos el mejor. Un menú muy varía y todos los platos de leve a muy caliente están claramente marcados como son los que contengan frutos secos.

Long time user of Momins, however a recent bad experience means we will not be returning. Collected our order and upon getting food home we were without an onion Bhaji starter. My partner called and was met with an abrupt and rude response questioning that it was in the bag and asked us to check again. We were told a driver would deliver the starter, 40mins later I called to chase where our starter was (we where now finished our meal) I was met with an argumentative response, stating he did not care about my opinion or my custom.

Always go to momins and never disapointed, tried the new munch box which is full of everything.pakoras samosas chicken tikka sheek kebab onion bajis choice of spicy or garlic chips and a choice of curry sauce, it was lovely! Kebab in a box is also a must, so much choice now we never know what to choose.

I swear the pizza's are the best i had in north shield! That's the only reason i come back to momins.

Had a Chicken Tikka Mosala and Balti Chilil Mosala and the new Munch Box. Kids loved the samosas, chips and Sheek kebab and our meal was perfect. Popular busy place easy to see why. Great takeaway

Ignorant staff, lazy delivery drivers! Pot luck on food, blamed on different chefs when you comment. Always something missing on deliveries when they can be bothered to actually deliver. Would steer clear unless you have a few days too recover.

We had a take away from this restaurant n was disgusting we ordered chicken rogan josh and boiled rice, and never in my years have I had a chicken rogan josh so hot!!!!, I could only have 1 forkful as it burned my mouth throat and my eyes were watering too...I phoned up to complain n they said they put chillies in chicken rogan josh even though it's supposed to be a mild dish. They said they would send another 1 out, this took another hour... And they still expected us to pay for it no way...Never shall I return to this place again or order take away from there... The rest of our friends had to leave there meals too and have right dodgy tummys too...

Tried the new momins munch box and it was great value for money very tasty and plenty of it even kids loved it, you get a selection of ch pakoras onion bajis ch Tikka samosas garlic or spicy chips and a curry sauce of your choice, my wkend treat from now on

Had Momins pizzas, never disappoints. Kids loved it and they were really flexible as they catered for their various tastes. My favourite dish was the king prawn naga with fried rice. Would definetly recommend.

Ordered a takeaway from Momins for Father's Day. Did not disappoint, food was great! The whole family was happy especially the kids who loved the spicy pizzas. Service and delivery was good to as they catered for my sons allergies and even made recommendations. Keep up the good work.

Just had my meal from here and like always it was perfect and it was free as I won the prize draw this weekend just gone! A perfect way to end a lovely day! I often go for my currys at this place its always spot on and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! I would advise anyone to visit this place and try it out you will never be disappointed!

Excellent service and friendly staff they where all very polite there curry's are in a different league best curry I have had in the north east and I eat a lot of them shame I can not give this place 6 stars as I think 5 star is to little for the service recived I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family

Tried the rest now we settle for the best we have been using quite often.Wide choice on the menu.Sometimes you have to wait slightly longer but this just goes to show how popular the place is.Tried various things on menu never been disappointed yet.

Another first class meal and plenty of it the mixed grill pizza was amazing and the meat thali is the best I've ever had if you haven't tried momins yet your missing out you really are

Tried Bombay prawns and a tandori mix grill , friend had balti chilli mossala and the food was to die for full of flavour n spice how we asked for it, nothing was a problem to them, got free Papadoms n pickles , we collected tonight and the place was full, glad we pre ordered , this is our weekly treat , love the food ,staff are fab n friendly, see u next wk momins, love it!

We us Momins regularly. The meals are always brilliant with generous portions. This time I had a Lamb dish cooked with cinnamon and fenugreek. The lamb was tender and juicy and the spices just right. I had it with some onion fried rice which was also cooked just right. I collected my order from the shop and was greeted by efficient but very friendly staff. All in all it was an excellent experience.

Always a perfect pizza and curry from momins, best to pr order on wkend as their always so busy, delicer as far as monkseaton aswell as we were at a friends .tried all other in north shields and not a patch on momins :-)

I have ordered pizzas and Currys from Momins for over a year now. If you like spicy, ask for their Naga dishes.. Great flavour without just being about heat. Not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming from as I can't recommend it highly enough

me and my partner tried a all meat kebab on nan and a special mix kebab on nan, side portion of madras sauce, you get a free sauce which we both opted for garlic but manager gave us a chilli and mint to try aswell for free, got to say this was the best kebab weve ever tried, full of flavour, chips aswell at no xtra cost, even enough for my bait tomorrow. def my number one indians, wouldnt go anywhere else and staff and drivers are lovely, keep up the good work guys and see u again at the wkend

Hi everyone reading this indeed a spicy chicken pizza to be honest it should have been named the two bit chicken biscuit the pizza had no more then 5 bits of chicken on a 12 inch stuff crust pizza and it was that hard you could snap the slice in half now come on am all for the cool thin Base look but this hurt eating it and it just wasn't nice at all most of it went in the bin thanks but no thanks.

We normally order a takeaway here when visiting my mother who lives nearby. The choice of dishes is really good and the quality has been consitently fantastic on every occasion. We chose a Pimento and Patia dish which were really spicey and we'll cooked, the quality of the meat was very good too. My mother ordered a pizza which was also excellent. I don't understand the recent poor reviews and have always found the opposite.I can recommend this takeaway!

have ordered a few times from Moomin's and been quite happy with the quality of food...until last night, we ordered two meal deals (to be delivered) -which included a starter, main, rice and veg side.... The chicken in the starter ( chicken tikka ) could have done with an extra 5 more minutes of cooking time, whereas the chicken in the madras curries....well what can I say OMG!!... don't know if it was partially over cooked or reheated from the day before - or if it was chicken or not ? as parts of it were like cardboard and un-chewable and unpalatable, the whole thing - both portions ended up in the bin!!felt ill for the rest of the evening!!
