Have you people got any taste buds. Absolutely disgusting, my first and last. I'm from Grimsby ,a fishing town up north, I am embarrassed. Never again.

2 small cod for seniors - hardly any fish it was all batter. very disappointing. The senior portion of cod from the chippy in our home town of Lee on Solent is more than double in size for similar price.

Good chip shop everything was cooked very well, l know it was quite late when I got there but there wasn't any pies and just a few small pieces of cod and some sausages but what was there was very good. Plenty of chips though that was less than half on my plate.

Must have picked a bad night Ran out of large cod at 7.30 on a Saturday. One piece of Haddock good the other mostly batter Small cod pieces were mostly batter. Chips were half good and half bad with one chip that looked like it had been cooked few times and could not be broken in half lol.

The place is only open 50% of the week. So many times I’ve considered going in after work for some easy quick food but disappointed to find it looking like a derelict building. Missing out on a lot of potential business Seeing that there are only very few places in churchdown that serve food!

It's an absolutely amazing old skool chippy. No fancy hipster nonsense. Just simple delicious well cooked food at old skool prices. Good size portions for your money.

Just pickup Fish and chips today Tuesday 5th April full of stale hard batter very small amount of fish been there a few times and it was lovely served this time by a grey hair man and a young boy what happened to the efficient ladies who prepared and served the lovely portions took photos to prove the disappointment

A bit hit and miss with the food. Fish tonight was overcooked and dry. Depends who is cooking on the night.

Probably the best chippy we've been to. We've lived in Coventry, Oxford and Leicester but this is definitely the BEST.

For what has to be one of the smallest chip shops around it has the biggest attraction and not without its own merit. I would choose Montys over a more known National prize-winning chippy in nearby Cheltenham.

Servece was fab served instantly, friendly and offered to make me food fresh, wasn't please with the microwave use to warm up sauce, and the chips were slightly more greesey than I would expect... But that's perticular to me, would recommend and would happily go back

After 5 years of using Monty’s I have always enjoyed the quality of the Fish and Chips.Unfortunately tonight’s meal was very disappointing, the prices have increased, the chips were soggy and the fish tasteless. I hope this is a one off disappointment!!! We will see.

Most disrespectful and rude behaviour from the lady who is frying the chips.i asked some small fishs and she said you need to wait for it and after 10 minutes of waiting she said "I hate you are waiting here" and again she said you need to tell to me straight away when you get here for small fish. What kind of customer service is this?? Treating customers like buggers!!!!!!!!!!The staff must go for proper training for customer service. I wish i dont go there anymore... Great fish ans chips, friendly service.

Unfortunately had to edit my review from 4 Stars as recently the quality and quantity has gone down. Just ordered three chip baps and the supervisor was actually standing over the servers shoulder telling her when to stop gently sprinkling the chips into the open bun ( like they were being counted). In comparison to any other chip Shop locally it's really poor.
