Delicious every time / we order weekly and have done for years!!!

order arrived late and cold. Restaurant seemed abit arrogant when requesting compensation for delays.

great food, very generous portions and complementary pappadums & dips.

other than the delivery guy obviously not taking as much care as he should when delivering the food. and the korma comming open & spilling all out into the bag & onto the onion bargies & ruining those making them soggy, it actually tatsed really nice. one of the best prawn puri we have had also what was left of the korma we tried it taste nice although it was cold due to the container being open & spillage due to it being shaken around. but thats the delivery guys fault, not the restaurants.

Over 1 hour late. Pretended they had delivered on time until followed up. Cannot recommend.

Lovely little restaurant with great food, reasonable prices and very attentive service. The emphasis on "little" as unfortunately one drawback was the lack of space, such that our booth was rather cramped and getting in and out was a challenge. Other than that, parking can be tricky before 6:30 if you're an early diner, although in fairness to the restaurant that's not something they can do much about. Nonetheless, the food was very tasty and portions were satisfying, and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were well looked after. None of the minor "negatives" detract from that and I would certainly recommend a visit.

Superb Indian restaurant, bursting with flavours. The Chef's special nobabi e azam and the mushroom bhaji were particularly wonderful. We sat down, but they also do delivery and takeaway. Highly recommended.

Food arrived a little bit later driver said was confused with roads. Food was freezing cold Madras was so watery with no flavor. To be honest none of it had any flavour and all of it was just freezing cold. Will not be ordering from here again!! Waste of money!!

Had to call restaurant twice as delivery was due between 8.30-8.50 but didn’t arrive till after 9.20pm.

We've been using the Monsoon for years. Easily the best Indian restaurant in the area. Good food, good service, value-for-money and just around the corner. Lovely people. I can't recommend it highly enough.

So far from this restaurant I've had Tarka daal which needed abit of seasoning, lamb achar twice ordered and its been good. Keema naan, there's no keema in the bread! Garlic naan was OK, meat samosas were good, chicken masala is going straight in the bin! This is too sweet and looks like a korma has sweet coconut in it. This to me isn't a masala so maybe they made a mistake.

What is there to say about the wonderful ‘Monsoon’ restaurant that has not been already said by far spicier souls than either I, or my own dear wife. The vegetable dansak is a modern marvel; while the naan sisters Peshwari and Garlic have never been so irresistible as in the hands of these fine artisans of all things turmeric; or even just turmer-ish for those with milder palettes! For a beloved local vendor who will delight you with their splendour, look no further or nearer than dear monsoon. Run don’t walk, grab a knife and a spoon, its time to sit down, and order Monsoon!

I give no stars for food quality, but to be able to substance this you have to choose 1 star. But trust me I have given zero stars. because the quality was absolutely terrible. Firstly it arrived cold & everything was bad. The Black burnt hard as rock onion bargies, the saturated oily lamb sag with lamb that well you wouldn't give to your dog. The masala had water still floating all around it. I mean ro pay over £30 for a meal & recieve what I received was a big wake up call to how some of these places really just don't care what they send you. It was tho they sent me all of there messed up old ruined food.. this should not even be classed as a restaurant. NEVER AGAIN. Oh & what else this place did was they put on the app that it had been delivered before it was even delivered so it looks like they delivered within the time. But they come quite a bit after

Tried this restaurant once a while ago on the off chance and never went back. The meat thali is amazing in terms of what you get for the money and the chicken dhansak is to die for. However on this occasion the food was horrendously late and freezing cold. The lamb meat was like rubber, and everything else was sub standard. I can only hope this was an off day, I will order again but if the food I receive is to be anything like I have just experienced, it will definitely be the last.

Food was nice but ordered a chicken dopiaza but received lamb. Considering it had taken nearly 1.5 hours to receive the order already and by that time it was quite late we just made do.

Great food, perfect service, incredible prices. Everything else that I've ever reviewed as five stars should now be dropped to four-and-a-half stars. If you're counting the pennies, then this is the place to eat and drink. A large bottle of Cobra for less than a fiver! Support this place, friendly staff working hard to make your evening as tasty and fun as possible! (I realise this probably reads like a paid review or something, but honestly it isn't. It's just crazy that this place has been so close to me for so many years and I've never eaten there before...)

Went early with two young children and had a great evening. Great food and drink, with attentive and understanding service. We'll be going back very soon!

Second time I've tried this restaurant within a week. Pleased to say that each time was a delight. Have spoken to friends and they said they've enjoyed the food too.

The staffs are really welcoming and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable for Indian dining in London. The foods are good though lamb curry feels like not very fresh.Tandoori chicken is very good. Overall, quite average Indian food for me as there is no wow factors in the food. A generous suggestion would be to maintain the fresh quality for all foods served. I am sure that people won’t mind paying extra and the value is very good for the foods already indeed. Renovations of the place may attract people more for dine in.

I have been eating here for twenty years, both seated in or having take-away - they never disappoint. There are several Indian restaurants in the area and they are all good, however Monsoon has consistently been better. Their portions are never skimpy with meat. Their lamb samosas are fat and even with delivery, are always crispy outside and deliciously moist and meaty inside. I can also recommend their Biryani, Tikka and Tandoori dishes. Their staff are friendly and actually look like they enjoy their jobs, which is nice.

Really great food, always on time

We ate here this evening and had a wonderful time. If I could give more stars I would. Highly recommend! The food was delicious, generous portion sizes and fantastic value for money. The service was great. The staff are so friendly and attentive. There's a lovely atmosphere. It's definitely our favourite place to eat in Catford.

Was not to usual standard for monsoon. The rogan josh had no taste. The best thing about the meal were the oooo dons and mint dip. In the past we have had brilliant food from this restaurant.

Returned to our favourite Indian restaurant for a really good meal. The food as usual was delicious, so tasty & so well cooked & presented. It is always such a a pleasure to be served by the knowledgeable staff with such a delightful attitude. Would definitely recommend for a a great meal in pleasant surroundings.

I was quite disappointed with the food yesterday. This has always been my go to Indian restaurant/take away. The naan yesterday was hard and burnt. And, the lamb pathia was cold and the lamb was hard to chew and eat :/

Food came quick but made me question how fresh it could be I ordered the paneer which was horrible literally plain taste like water and paneer other food was under average quality I'm would not coming back here or recommend

15 minutes later than latest estimated time. Food arrived luke warm at best.

Although our food was delicious we had to heat it in the microwave as it was just warm.

Used to like this place but no more. Order was 45 mins late and cold. Complained to Just Eat who refunded me half of what I paid for my order even though my WHOLE order was cold. Apparently this is in line with their “cold food policy”…absolute garbage. Won’t be using this restaurant or Just Eat again!

All dishes both meat and veg had no flavour. One item was missing also. Your better off with a pre-packaged microwave meal from your local supermarket, much more flavour.

Monsoon is my local, and it's an excellent local to have, but my order was delivered incomplete. Missing items that have been fully paid for. Really disappointed.

Fantastic food and quick delivery.

Most of the food was good but I was disappointed with some of the dishes. The texture and taste gave the impression that they had been reheated several times - the paneer and potatoes in particular seemed stale. This was my first experience of this eatery so it is doubtful I will order from them again.

Rang them at the estimated delivery time and they said my food was still in the kitchen, they then said not to listen to the just eat app as it said my order was out for delivery. Order arrived late and barely warm. This was my go to Indian takeaway. Time to try somewhere different. Disappointed.

Having ordered from this restaurant before which has been delicious hot and full of ingredients, I was disappointed this evening. The food was barely warm, lacked taste - couldn't taste any spice, and the veg curry had barely any veg in, more potato to bulk it out. Such a shame after my previous positive experiences.

Food is very high quality. And service even higher. A real gem in SE London. Hidden but appreciated. Very reasonably priced. Definitely check it out if your in the area. Thank you H

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Great staff very friendly and welcoming. We ate in very clean restaurant with brilliant background music making the feel authentic turned up with my family and were more than welcomed unbooked. I went for the lamb korma and it was spot on we also had chicken tikka and my wife had the vegan/veggie option nice onion bhajis and nan breads. Well worth the spend for a good meal with friends.

Cannot express how good this restaurant is! The service is spot on and the food is perfect. I had the madras/coconut pilau rice and 4 sides and the misses had korma/mushroom rice. The meat was tender and very flavourful and the rice perfectly cooked. The guy that was servicing us was polite/freindly and anything we needed he got straight away. We ordered our starters and they came out within 10 minutes. Our mains came out within 15 - 20 mins which is quick as the restautant was full at this point. We even got a free baileys at the end on the house. I left the restaurant full up and happy.

We have just found this little gem, food very good, reasonably priced, considerate staff, definitely having a return visit, thank you to the staff for a lovely meal

Was recommended this restaurant by multiple people but very disappointed. Popadum was stale, chicken madras was watery and had little flavour plus the meal arrived lukewarm. My wife did say hers was delicious but I have to leave a review in what I tasted and it was poor. Won’t come back.
