We visited at the weekend for some lunch while out shopping, one of the meals ordered was a BLT sandwich, when this arrived it was in fact cuts for gammon which I’d guess was a few days old, fingers crossed no more than three! We couldn’t speak to anyone due to the volume of customers so we left rather disappointed, unfortunately we won’t be returning!

This place has a fancy new restaurant but it's designed for people with plenty of time on their hands and not single. You need a table number to place your order at the counter: so you'd better reserve your seat somehow. Then you order and pay. And they bring the stuff to your table. At 3.30pm on a Tuesday, it took 17 mins for my tea and flapjack to arrive! The place didn't appear very busy. That's time lost which could have been used to entice me to spend money in the shop. It's bad business.

The staff are working their socks off but whether there just aren’t enough of them or the place is too big they can’t cope. I went to the coffee shop, one person is taking orders, making coffee, going for ice and crockery. Meanwhile, my niece ordered three sandwiches which took half an hour to arrive. Again, the staff member we spoke to was helpful and polite but it no longer feels like a comfortable place for refreshments.

We waited for over 30 minutes for our food to arrive whilst others that were served after us got their food before us. The manageress was quite indifferent and stated it was because we had ordered 2 meals the same and if I couldn't understand that she couldn't explain it better. When the food arrived it was ok ish but my husbands veg & potato were not very hot. Yes we were given a free coffee, however we would have appreciated meals that were served quicker and were enjoyable. Been going here for years, here’s the summary I have: Restaurant: absolutely lush food, always friendly staff, only ever had one issue with a coke being extremely watered down, the staff replaced it within minutes and tasted much better after, I’ve have a whole mix of food here eg: afternoon tea, Mac n Cheese, sandwiches, brownies! All were delicious! Outdoor garden: incredible range of many flowers, trees and plants, lots of variety and availability! Outdoor decorations, plant pots, ceramic pots, hanging baskets, you name it! Indoor garden: many types of patio decorations, furniture, plant pots They have many indoor plants, all at great prices, I’d love to see more mini houseplants! They are always really early to put their seasonal items on sale, and they always have a huge variety! Lots of Halloween items!! They’ve also started putting their Christmas stock out, which is always, ALWAYS!!, the best! They had some staff working on a new Christmas section. Overall, indoors and outdoors, floor to ceiling, the centre is kept incredibly clean, everything is really great priced! I could spend hours in here, there is so much, you will always find what you are looking for! And if you are struggling to find something, the staff always go the extra mile to help you find that! All around positive experience coming here, and the vibes are always spectacular!

Visited here recently and was pleasantly impressed by the garden centre, it felt like it went on and on so much to see! Firstly, the selection of free from food/treats/snacks was fantastic and I ended up leaving with a whole selection of things, all of which have been delicious - I will be returning for this alone. The garden centre is split into different sections, the pet area was very good with plenty of options for your pets, of all kinds. Then the plant selection was very large with a whole array of different things, including statues, fencing, plaques, and all sorts of garden needs in a huge area, so visit the pond as well as it is beautiful. The farm shop is famous and full of some really yummy treats and locally scoured food & drink. A cafe or two is available on site lemon we didn’t eat here, there was so much to see we had to return after our lunch nearby for a second browse. A real treat to visit this lovely garden centre and we can’t wait to return at Christmas time!

Booked for Sunday lunch based on a friend’s rave review and were somewhat underwhelmed, Choice of large or standard roast. My Standard was half a parsnip, two roast potatoes, one small stuffing ball and two slices of meat.large was four potatoes, two stuffing balls, two parsnips snd lots of meat. What we weren’t told was that there was only a pound between the two sizes. Had we known this we would have probably sized up. There was one bowl of swede, carrots and broccoli and another small dish of creamy leaks, not enough for four people. I had the pork and it was tough. Yorkshire puddings were cold and one was frozen. They did send out replacements however we had nearly finished our meal. Decor much in need of a spruce up. The pub is in need of some TLC. Exposed wires on ceiling, paint peeling from ceiling, and a strange smell. The table behind us was cleared and during this cutlery was dropped in the carpet. This was then picked up and placed on the table, dogs are allowed in the pub as well as a resident bird so were a bit shocked about the hygiene issue of this. Both the male and female toilets were also in need of some serious attention. Apparently the pies are very nice but don’t think I’d make the journey to try them as were quite keen to leave.

We had an incredible time at brunch, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing waitress, Ash. From the moment we sat down, she brought the perfect balance of energy, attentiveness, and charm that took our experience to the next level. Ash kept our glasses full without us ever having to ask, anticipated our needs like a pro, and somehow managed to be everywhere at once — all with a genuine smile and great vibes. Bottomless brunch can get a little wild, but Ash kept everything smooth, fun, and friendly. Truly one of the best servers we've had — give this woman a raise! We’ll definitely be coming back (and asking for Ash!)
