Mona Lisa Cafe & Restaurant in Kensington and Chelsea

One of my favourite places. It's unpretentious, comfortable and the food is varied and tasty. The clientele is a complete mixture and crosses all social divides. Everyone is made to feel welcome.

It is a great place to visit for good food and sensible prices. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Even when it is full (on a Chelsea home match day) you still get people coming in hoping to get a free table.

A small neighborhood restaurant where regulars come, traditional Italian cuisine and other dishes. Good welcome and fair prices.

First time I went in the was 1980. Fantastic place then. Now the place is absolutely rubbish. None of the food items I ordered even tasted like the food I ordered. Everything is pre cooked and then dishes are fired up within minutes. The 1 thing I did notice was that the original waitress from 1980 is still there . She has been promoted to the till. Never again.

Mona Lisa was a great place to have breakfast . Liver breakfast was my go to every visit . Food quality and quantity has diminished , the price hike and what seemed a lack of atmosphere and customers seemed like the end of great place for breakfast . Payed my last visit there this morning !

Been visiting Mona Lisa for over 25 years and have enjoyed every meal. Looking forward to the next visit.

Just a quick suggestion about your food services today been with my partner on hour breakfast time and unfortunately everything was OK apart hour coffee the milk make me feel bad my stomach, so I would suggest keep eye on your milk area before use to the on everything u need many thanks.!

For the price I paid I've got a great breakfast. The coffee and liver were especially good.

Once busy local cafe, now quiet due to serving up £14.99 English Breakfasts. Pretty outrageous price hike from £9.50 in October 2023.

I have been here loads of times and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. I went the other day and got 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, a teaspoon of beans too many chips and toast with a cuppa. £13! It used to be such good value for money, now you get less for more££. I must say lunch of calves liver etc is still fab! Very disappointed in breakfast nowadays (on behalf of someone without a computer)

Not the same as last year too much if an increase in price and less attention to food will no t go again and used to love it. Booked many a time for years and years not again sorry. Will advice friends also

The Mona Liza cafe is on the Kings Road and serves a great breakfast. Service is good and prices reasonable. A proper breakfast!

Nice little cafe excellent food & service

Lovely resto, definitely one of the better eateries on this stretch of Kings Road. Family run Italian café, not too far from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. I tried their mussels provencal and for mains I had roast belly of pork. Awesome lunchtime meal! This mussel dish had light ingredients - fresh tomatoes, black olives, capers, garlic and white wine. The roast belly of pork, slow roasted, had tender and juicy flesh. There was a bit of nice crispy crackling on the side - excellent. Their prices are very decent for top notch quality dishes. I am told that their scrumptious breakfasts are also worth trying.

Used this place many times over the years ,first time back to place in two years ,what a chance,food was terrible,order a breakfast most of it was cold ,won't be going back, a another great cafe gone in London

A cafe for workers during the day and a proper restaurant atmosphere in the evening. Very popular and a bit noisy because of the lack of carpet but you can still hear each other. Prices are very good for quality cooking. Especially good value is chicken Escalope sandwich at 5.50£

Very good breakfast at decent prices considering the area.

Stopped in for brunch. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they helped me decide between two options. The Ciabatta's are really good but sadly they don't come with any sides, such as crisps or a salad. I ended up having to order another one to fulfil the hunger, but they were both very fresh, warm and full of flavour. Many thanks.

Mona Lisa is a truly wonderful restaurant. Small , family run , traditional cooking, varied menu, changing daily. Unpretentious, friendly, authentic. Good choice of wines, and a really friendly,helpful atmosphere. Good prices too. If you want an unfussy and simple place (in a good way ) give this restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed.

A long time visitor to this cafe. To my dismay the cooking is not a patch on days gone by. And the prices have almost doubled. They are trying to raise the clientele but at the price of the set lunch on the 23rd December they are wide of the mark. £25 for 3 courses. What a loss. And how sad.

A great local place for a snack or a full meal. It has a very varied menu which ranges from full English breakfast to sandwiches to (Anglo) Italian starters and mains. The prices are very reasonable and the 3 course menu is particularly good value if you are hungry.

Breakfast place. I ordered an English one and let me tell you. It was a very good portion and all the items very tasty. Very good. We sat on a table outside in the sidewalk.

Best cafe ,affordable lunch and great staff!!

Ce petit restaurant ne paie pas de mine mais n’hésitez pas à vous y arrêter. Nous l’avons fait deux fois sur notre séjour pour un petit déjeuner et un déjeuner. Les portions servies pour le petit-déjeuner sont très copieuses. Ça vous permet de tenir sans problème jusqu’au goûter et passer le déjeuner. Pour le déjeuner, le restaurant propose un menu 3 services à petits prix, au environ 15£, et une carte avec quelques plats. Les spécialités maisons sont le foie et quelques plat d’inspiration italienne. J’ai opté pour le menu et ait choisi une assiette de foie a l’italienne qui était vraiment très bon.

Simple place, but great Italian food at very affordable prices! Certainly recommended!

Have been coming here for my favourite dish spaghetti alla vongole for over 25 years. No other restaurant in the world can match how good Mona Lisa cooks this dish! It is off menu and made upon request.

This is a really good value restaurant (considering you are in Kings Rd) where you can have a 3-course meal for £12.95! Ideal for a quick lunch and is used by builders to professionals which gives the place a good atmosphere. Staff a very pleasant and good attentive service. Recommend that you go if you just want a quick meal but would not as a romantic meal.

Whilst the service was excellent and the price reasonable - especially for this part of London - the food was of very poor quality. Won't be returning.

Above average, and if your there early enough you can normally park.

Been coming to Mona Lisa for 30 years. It is home from home for me in Chelsea. Excellent value. Try the Liver Salvia with Thyme. V Good Rioja wines.

I ordered the breakfast which arrived quickly and looked amazing but unfortunately the eggs were snotty and not cooked properly nor were the mushrooms or tomato. The toast was quite burnt but I was impressed with the quality and taste of the bacon and sausage.

Today we have eaten an amazing italian food. We ordered 3 starters kalamari, mussels and spicy ribs. All perfect and super tasty especially calamari it's a must have here. As a main dish I recommend linguine allo scolio. I recommend this place to all of you as an Italian. The best of the best!! 10 of the 10

Busy! Probably the only old school Cafe on Kings Road these days so is absolutely rammed in the mornings. Quality of food and coffee really good, fairly pricey but is to be expected in SW postcodes. Waitresses attentive and friendly, happy with my visit here.

Staff was rude and they don't have experience in restorants . They make scrambled eggs from powder eggs , toast bread is full with oil . They don't put butter on toast bread at all .

Proper Italian... Fegato alla Veneziana was great and cheap by them London prices.

Unfortunately no longer open in the evening - now closes at 6pm. Great pity. ☹

I found an insect in my broccoli and got no reduction in the price of my meal , the lady manager with the blonde hair was extremely blunt and l will never eat there again .

Made to feel welcome although all I had was a cup of lemon tea. There seems to be a nice relaxed vibe in the place. Will go back to try the food one day as the menu looked good and reasonably priced for kings road

We had an excellent meal yr day evening .the food was first class .I had garlic chili king prawns, which was simply mouth watering .my family had the calves liver in sage butter. All ingredients were fresh and well.presented .and tasted delicious. I hope this establishment survives this covid crisis as it really is a jewel .please give them your trade .I will be back soon .

This was our first meal out since lockdown. Excellent value and well managed to ensure covid security. Plenty of space between tables.

From walking into this empty restaurant on a Friday night, I should have known better. Staff not regarding COVID guidelines, appalling service, bright spot-lighting, motorway cafe ambience. Then the food... Oily mushroom starter on fried white sandwich bread, and the blandest carbonara I have ever tasted: think the cheapest overcooked pasta you can find and mix it with watered down custard - that was the dish with a dash of some form of bacon. Every single ingredient of our meals was the poorest quality food I can to recall in all my 20 years of dining in London restaurants (the kind that comes in 10litre tubs). And the price, while cheap compared to other restaurants in the area, you certainly get what you pay for, no..in fact much less. I left the restaurant 30mins ago with a bitter taste in my mouth and actually a bit of a stomach ache, the type you get when your body is rejecting bad, greasy food being indigested. We barely ate 20% of our meal and the waitress did not once come to ask how was our meal, or ask us how was our meal when we were paying to leave. All they wanted was our money and probably knew we would not be back. This is a prime example of how not to run a restaurant by people who show no regard for customer service or satisfaction. I very rarely write reviews; only when either the meal is truly exceptional and I believe the restaurant deserves credit, or the opposite and I feel the public needs warning. This is my 2nd review of the latter in the last 5 years.

We went here for dinner and service was lovely. Food was fresh and so tasty! Portions were very generous and price was so reasonable. If you haven't tried their homemade tiramisu, I highly recommend it. Its one of the best I have tasted in a long time.
