Great Italian restaurant in Chelsea. Cosy and homey. I've come to dine by myself and ate one pasta dish, and it was delicious and, most importantly, homemade. The service is superb, many thanks to the waiters! It is a bit on a pricier side, that's why I put a 4-star review (you can buy pasta for 16€, but I find that the smaller portion is not that filling), but I would come here again for sure to try more. Recommend! ✨️

We stumbled across Il Trillo in Chelsea and had a fantastic experience! Not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant is also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. The chefs prepared each dish with care and my waitress Maria was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout the meal. On my way to the restroom, I met one of the chefs (a European gentleman - Alan?) and he was so friendly and we had a great discussion about the menu and restaurant. It was so refreshing to see that this level of customer service still exists! I only wish I took more photos of the food but it was so delicious I ate it before I could! We had the home made pastas as a starter and my main was a beef filet which was cooked to perfection! The duck was delicious and home made bread was amazing! What truly set Il Trillo apart for me however, was the fantastic wine menu and of course the exceptional service provided. I am really looking forward to my next visit!

In my opinion it remains, if not the best, one of the best Italian restaurants in London. Compliments!

What do you call it? A propitious rendezvous. Rocco charmed us and we came for dinner while looking for a place for lunch. This is a place dedicated to Tuscany. The food, the wine. The wines are only from Tuscany- and a panoply of them- Bolgheri, Montalcino, Chianti- you name it they have it. I think maybe almost 1k wines. We had the most amazing dinner. Service from Maria (from Argentina) was exceptional. The dessert was great too- Tiramisu. I didn't find any panna cotta - not surprising as it is supposed to be from Piemonte :) Highly recommended. We will be back.

Cute spot for good Italian fare - the red shrimp carpaccio and the butternut squash ravioli are particularly good (though some other mains like the green pappardelle and the bread basket could’ve been better), as is the tiramisu. Servers are really nice and friendly, and the decor is really nice, especially the garden area.

Nice service and the food was good. The prices were on the high range but everything in London is expensive so it was acceptable. Nice ambiance. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic environment where to taste real Tuscany food. The dishes are outstanding, the braised beef and the rabbit are out of this world. Needless to say that the list of wines is excellent and cocktails are great too.

Love this authentic Italian, away from the show off senses of mayfair u find this amazing place. Best paper steak.i had in along time, wife loved the pastas and staff were more friendly than angles from havens. Enjoy

Extensive wine list, tasty food and nice ambiance.

This is the best Italian Restaurant in London. The food is incredible. Every single item on the menu is worth trying. I go here often and it never disappoints. The cocktails are great and the service is lovely. I tried many Italian restaurants in London and none of them can compre with this one.

We had two starters, tuna tartar and the smoked Angus beef carpaccio and were highly impressed! Good-size portions as well. Went for pasta for our mains, tagliatelle and pappardelle and while the spinach tagliatelle was simply superb, pappardelle was ok. But then this is a matter of taste and since their pastas are homemade, they're already way better than what most Italian restaurants offer. We ordered tiramisu as dessert. I must say it is very important to me that an Italian restaurant should have a good tiramisu on their menu. It was bland and too sweet at Il Trillo. I was disappointed because my expectations were high after tasting the food there.

One of the nicest Italian restaurants in London, located in the heart of Chelsie.. the trillo serves nice food accompanied by a wonderful wine list full of prestige wines from Tuscany. Spotless service.

Basics were not cooked right. Potatoes were too salty and gnocchi was soggy. We didn’t touch our food and the waitress asked if everything was ok and we told her the food was not edible. She rolled her eyes and walked off, didn’t even apologise. Was very rude.

If you really want to taste real Italian food and not being constrained to a “carbonara” or an “arrabbiata”, you should try this place. The food is typical of northern Tuscany which is meticulously prepared by a cook who previously worked in the Enoteca Pinchiorri brigade in Florence (3 Michelin stars) .The restaurant owner is a fantastic entertainer, very affable, gifted with an incredible savoir faire with clients. The service might be a little bit quicker, however I always experience great nights here.

Weak vegetarian options. Gnocchi looks like chicken liver and rosemary potatoes extremely salty. Manager totally unhelpful and just said "OK" with a roll of her eyes and no apology. Certainly won't be returning!

Lovely and accommodating staff. I had the “Pici Toscani” which was absolutely delicious and different from the usual pasta you get everywhere else. Makes me want to go back in a heartbeat.

Nice atmosphere. Let down by average service and overpriced mains barely suitable for children.

I used to love this place and wanted to give my mom nice experience but service today was not great and waitress recommended octopus which was pretty bad…must have been an attempt to sell what was getting old on the kitchen. Overall strange attitude from staff. Rest of the food was good but overall experience not really. Don’t think i will be back

Ambiente intimo e servizio cordiale. Consigliato

We were shoved in a small, dark corner. I asked three times if it was possible to move to a different table at this point the restaurant was empty). I was told it was not possible. At the end of the meal, the check was shoved down (without asking for it) and we were told we needed to leave as the next table was here. Food was nice, but unfortunately the staff and seating ruined it. I then posted about this as the experience really upset me, and the brand responded rudely to my story. It is clear the customer service is so lacking, as over 15+ in my messages said they experienced similar. Shocking behaviour.

I’m really disappointed by this restaurant. The food was not very good and the way how me and my friends were treated was absolutely unacceptable.

Love the food !!! Truly impressed . The pasta is obviously homemade , the variety of meat is so great , I tried rabbit , duck and wild boar and all of them were cooked perfectly, that’s not easy at all . If I want to find a little defect , are the desserts , good but nothing tooo special . Definitely will be back !

Had an amazing dinner here last week! The food is absolutely incredible and has far more to offer than just pasta. We had the beef cheek, Ragu rabbit and the fish. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! The venue additionally has an impressive wine collection The staff were friendly and attentive, leading to top tier service It was a little quiet and so the atmosphere wasn’t the best, although this could have been due it being a cold and rainy evening. They have a lovely area outback which can be uncovered in the summer months I highly recommend Il Trillo and will certainly be back

having been to the restaurant for many years they have just let it go. the service was very poor, we waiting for over an hour just for the starter, which was a carpaccio btw!!! the stuffed onion had been reheated and have of them were cold ! it’s a shame to see a restaurant which used to be a top in chelsea to have become a chelsea trap where they believe they can get away with low quality service.

Very good Appetizers and nice wine selection. Filetto di manzo felt slightly chewy unfortunately. Tiramisu was spot on.

If you want to taste good Italian food without going to Italy this is the place for you. The pasta is homemade and delicious. The place decor is nice, a bit rustic blend with the original Victorian structure of the building. The wine list is excellent although the starting price per bottle is high. Whilst the food is excellent this is not fine dining. What I mean by this is that flavours are intense and good but you will not find different notes and aromas playing on each plate. It stays faithful to Italian cuisine which by default has very intense flavours which mask any other ones that they could have attempted to include. The service is ok. I read some reviews mentioning that they were rude. We did not have that experience, and again the service was not fine dining attentive. So for this price per person you can do fine dining elsewhere and hence why they are not getting the full 5 stars. Lovely traditional Italian food nonetheless.

Slightly noisy which to be fair is the case almost everywhere. Meal was delicious.

I am Italian and fancied a good plate of pasta today. We did not know this place but we decided to give it a go. Nice interiors and kind female waitress. Yes we saw from the menu that it was not a cheap place but we were expecting something special. We had 3 different dishes, one was good, one average and one tasteless. They charged me 11.95 (!!!) for one glass of wine they recommended and 4.95 ( !) for each bottle of water we had. Portions are also small. It was an overpriced, nothing special experience. Good only if you have never eaten some proper Italian food in your life.

The food is pretty average if compared to a proper Tuscan experience. Prices have certainly be affected by the recent hike of inflation... nonetheless a 100 pound per person dinner requires something more sophisticated (or in good Italian style less over-complicated). A pasta dish price unless including important condiments should not be taken to that level. There is also the Hollywood road effect which perhaps creates a certain level of demand to justify their package. It is not for us.

Excellent meal and service at Il Trillo. The restaurant is beautiful as is the wine menu and food. We started with plates of truffle mortadella, Parma ham and artichokes. The meats are so finely cut and melt in your mouth, and the artichokes are a favourite too. The pastas are all freshly made and excellent, and we ordered three sides of spinach. A really relaxing vibe and the staff were brilliant.

I really enjoyed the food and the team was very friendly we been really happy and we will come back because we love Italian food and this one that the food is made with love and care

What a wonderful authentic neighborhood gem standing shoulders above its neighbors. Knowledgeable service, great wines by the glass and delicious food - the pasta! STOP! Wanted to go back every night the following week, but alas, closed for holiday. Will be back. You, just go.

I think the restaurant deserves 4 stars for the environment and the table setting. The staff were nice people but service too slow. The food is good, and I say that as an Italian, but the type of dishes and the lack of attention to detail, especially considering the servid, do not justify the price.

We booked a table in advance for drinks on a late afternoon. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. The staff rudely asked us to order food as they said we couldn't have only drinks. They didn't mention it in the reservation. The waiter immediately brought the check and kept reminding us to free the table although our slot was supposed to be 2 hours so why such pressure? We didn't enjoy our drinks (and the overpriced food) and we won't be back. Mediocre food, very rude staff and overpriced.

Restauranger som listas i MIchelins Guide Rouge brukar vara säkra kort även när de inte har stjärnor. Tyvärr gäller det inte för Il Trillo. Kvällen började inte bra med en servitris som "glömde" bort oss. Vi fick inte vinlistan, vi fick inte bröd, vi fick inte ljus på bordet. Maten var tyvärr inte på den nivå man kan förvänta sig när man tar även för London ganska höga priser. Det verkar som om kockarna hade tappat bort både salt och pepparkvarnen i köket. Ett ganska sparsmakat urval av viner på glas och även dessa låg på en prisnivå som inte motsvarade kvaliteten på vinerna. Som engelsmännen säger Overpriced and Overrated.

It was a very pleasant surprise. We went to this restaurant near where we were staying without expecting much, and the food was superb! I highly recommend the maltagliati verdi which was delicious. I hope to go there again when I’m back in London.

I’m an Italian girl and I often use to visit London. I love go to Trillo, in particular during the Sunday evening, for my last day in London. Very very good!

I've been at this restaurant many times. The quality and the taste of the food is Fantastic, the menu has a lot of options, excellent Pasta, meat and fish. They also have a very good wine list at a fair price.

We had an awesome Christmas dinner here, having only called in our reservation about an hour beforehand which was nice. We got to sit in the window booth looking out into the street, which gave it such a nice, intimate atmosphere. The food was pretty good too, although I couldn't pronounce any of them. The one that sounded like "button" ravioli was great! I'm not a particular fan of cauliflower, and they did an excellent job of mixing it well with cheese to fill the raviolis so that it was not overpowering at all.The meal cost quite a hefty amount, but the fact that it was Christmas dinner could have contributed to that a bit.

Il Trillo is in my opinion the best Italian restaurant in London in terms of quality of food and Italian food authenticity. It is like eating in a very good Italian restaurant in Italy. The staff are not the most friendly or smiley - but do their job. The ambience can be a bit quiet - but decor is nice without being exceptional - with a nice indoor terrace with a roof that opens in the summer

Wonderful dinner with friends in lovely ambience, with attentive, knowledgeable pleasant service, and delicious food. Food was that good, that I have ended ordering an extra portion of pear and pecorino cheese tortellini pasta in saffron sauce, mniam mniam.

He venido a Il Trillo unas 7 u 8 veces, y cada vez me decepcionaba el servicio, pero nunca escribí una reseña, ya que la comida lo compensaba. Ayer, sin embargo, la comida era normal y el servicio horrible, así que decidí que era suficiente.
