Bella Italia South Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

I was lucky to be able to walk in without a booking - a quiet evening. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, good menu choice, good value and good food. A happy diner!

Elegimos esta Bella como es en South Kensington y habíamos estado en el museo V&A y Harrods temprano esa tarde. Estábamos sentados enseguida junto a la ventana y aceptan Tastecard, así que tuvimos 2 por 1, una gran oferta! La comida era muy caliente y fresca, y llegó rápidamente. Gran vino y cócteles también. Nuestro camarero, Bogdumin (disculpas si se escribe incorrectamente) era tan amable y servicial. Hizo que nuestra visita fuera brillante! Recomiendo encarecidamente esta sucursal, gracias.

Delicioso sabor e ótimo atendimento decoração caprichada e muito aconchegante. Não encontramos Gnocchi no cardápio mas o que pedimos foi delicioso. Amamos.

Rien n’allait. Cherchant une pizza et un plat de pâtes, on trouve ce restaurant avec une note de 4 (quand même !) et des photos attirantes. En arrivant, on se rend vite compte que la majorité des avis doivent être achetés et complètement faux. Les pâtes sont absolument insipides et gorgées d’eau. La pizza, très certainement congelée. Quand même dingue qu’un restaurant aussi mauvais puisse survivre dans une ville comme Londres. On est venu, on a vu, on a perdu.

Bogumil was amazing. Such a fantastic waiter! Very attentive, was very fair with the amount of service he was able to give to all of his tables. I work in the industry for over 15 years and to have someone like him is special. When you go to Bella Italia, ask for Bogumil!

Pizza was really bad. Dough is open and set aside more than one hour probably. It wasn’t freshly opened and for these reason dough wasn’t cooked at all. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. We had to eat it because we were very hungry. Very disappointed for the restaurant who has business at SK. Not even one star deserves.

The pizzas were all excellent, good crispy bases (also the glutenfree version) and delicious toppings. The staff were very friendly, particularly Bogumil.

Our server Bogumil was great and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy, casual and inviting. Our food was served promptly and we were offered freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Everything was very fresh and tasty.

Terrible experience from one of the staff. Me and my sister in law went for a meal during the day there, the fries I ordered didn't come so I had to ask for them again. Then, my sister in law pays by the scanner, we leave and the Male waiter comes running at us as we're just casually walking to an appointment I had, he's screaming "MISS NO GOODBYE?? NO WAVE GOODBYE NOTHING" he's red in the face, then aggressively is yelling at us in the street that we didn't pay, so we're trying to show and explain we did. (I would also like to add, usually we do thank the waiter but no one working there was on the restaurant floor after we paid and we waited for a few minutes to see if anyone would come out to say thank you) He orders us to come back to the restaurant, we follow as he MARCHES infront of us, speeding off. As we get into the restaurant, BOOM the payment goes through, and the female waiter who looked like the manager even said "it's okay there's bad (wifi and data) service in here, it's just gone through". After all those theatrics, we did NOT get an apology from him, and he continued to act unprofessionally. Couldn't be more dissatisfied. The female worker was very friendly and dealt with the situation accordingly. Absolutely horrific way to deal with customers, A grown man chasing after two girls in the street and yelling at them being aggressive, when all it was, was a misunderstanding. He could have easily stopped us politely to ask if we'd paid for to say the transaction hadn't gone through and we need to come back. But he didn't. He seemed to have some sort of prejudice towards us since we came in.

Went here in the half term with my two children, after a busy day. The staff were so good with the kids and were involving them in placing orders and pretending to work there. It was so nice and welcoming which you don’t always get with restaurants in central London during busy periods. Food was great too.

We had two pizzas there. The quality of the pizzas was average. The waitress was friendly. The male waiter was rude though.

Had a great experience here! The gluten free options are very delicious- along with regular meals for the rest of the family. We were very pleased with the service, very warm and welcoming staff. I hope to make it back here again before we leave the area!

The food is fantastic but was greeted with a very rude gentleman who made me want to walk out of there. However, the lovely lady that served us was amazing.

The food, was lovely, piping hot, and filling. We all but licked our plates clean. However the food does not out way the somewhat disappointing experience we had. We were seated at the bottom of the stairwell by an open window and the entrance to the restaurant and promised that if somewhere better opened up we would be first priority and moved, we witnessed many table empty and not be refilled and yet we were not even be offered the option to move. And then the bill came. The prices were reasonable, my friend and I split the bill each paying for what we had specifically ordered only to be told we were wrong and we had to pay an extra “optional” £10 as a service charge. Forgive me but if a thing is optional I am not obliged to pay it. Being forced to do so soured the experience somewhat, feeling as if we were being scammed as they could see we were two young girls and (as we hadn’t demanded to be moved) we were not going to be confrontational and just pay they extra £10 (which I’m ashamed to say we did pay purely out of shock more than willingness or fear of confrontation). I went on to read their entire website to conclude tips are optional and we did in-fact get scammed out of £10. Very disappointed in the staff. If a service charge is not optional it should be stated somewhere within the restaurant or on the menu.

It is the best restaurant in the multiverse, and has allergy awareness.

Despite publicising that kids eat free all day Thursday, when we got to the Kensington branch we were informed it’s not the case, in fact no Bella Italia in London or Center parks, or Edinburgh (so very few sites offer the deal) We had 2 children, no activity pack offered I had gluten free pasta which was served undercooked - not Al dente as pasta should be, literally hard & uncooked. Sent it back & the replacement was pretty much the same, so I ate maybe a quarter of it, the server asked if it was any better, when I advised no, no offer made to discount or remove from the bill The rest of the food was mediocre Honestly wouldn’t recommend at all

Sat in open air storefront and enjoyed both the inside and outside settings. Food and service was great.

We re-visited Bella Italia on our recent trip to London this spring! FYI, we originally tried it about 6 years ago and looked forward to coming back for its tasty Italian fare and down-to-earth atmosphere! I ordered the chicken parmesan, my go-to dish, which was tender and tasty. My husband tried the pizza, which was delicious, too!
