Best Italian food! The flavor was amazing, chicken Milanese was crispy. The brownie ended the wonderful experience. Bogumil was our server and was so kind. He was a very efficient and professional server and knew the food inside and out. Definitely returning!

We were lucky that we had the place for ourselves for lunch. Food was so good!!

The food was delicious and morever the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Most importantly, it was very comfortable dining with my baby. Staff provided a special bowl so he was able to comfortably share each of my delicious courses. We were made to feel very welcome.

After a long day of walking London Bella Italian was a splendid place to enjoy a great fresh meal. I very much enjoyed the pasta and prawns and garlic bread. The atmosphere is also special with their sunken dining area. Nice quiet area as well. The people were so welcoming. I returned there three times. A place to remember.

I don’t know why this restaurant still has 4 stars? It has awful service and most over - awful food: the waiter greeted us with a very displeased look and demanded that we fold the stroller, although the child was sleeping in it; the demand was announced several times, but the child continued to sleep. found a way to set a table for two adults, two children and one sleeping toddler. The food on the children's menu was terrible - small size, raw mushrooms, bacon instead of ham (!). The juice is the cheapest, not natural. The ice cream is the simplest store bought one, the children were not happy. although they are not spoiled by tastes. food for adults was also so-so - the taste of ketchup on pizza, falling apart unfried bruschetta floating in oil with separately paid mozzarella the size of a teaspoon .. about the promotions and codes of individual laughter - don’t be fooled, all this is fake and not a working option for this establishment. the schemes are not working in advance, although at first they will assure you that everything is ok.

It’s a beautiful place but the food is not as good as you think! I ordered a chicken, ham and mushrooms pizza and it was completely flavorless, my friend had a chicken Cesar salad that was just ok! The server never came back to ask how was the food tasting

The vegan option for the pizza was perfect. I would recommend taking the option "half pizza with salad". The gluten free pizza was great. It is very busy for friday night dinner. Pleasant waiter and hostess.

I just went out with my friends and Azra gave us the best service we ever had. Such a friendly and lovely person, she was always checking on us and made sure we were fine at all times. 10/10 for the service :)

I felt that it is overrated, the pizza was good but nothing was special about it, 2 people are serving the whole restaurant, the same guy taking orders, preparing drinks, and bringing food…

Dough balls and garlic bread were really well done and tasted great! As did the rest of the meal, for a nice chain Italian this is a nice place to go, there are some vegetarian options.

Lovely little Italian place with an excellent gluten free menu. As a celiac who had been craving an Italian meal with more expansive gluten free offerings, I loved this place. Excellent food and dessert. Great service. Overall loved it.

Bad service - was told I and my friends couldn’t be served unless we ordered a full adult main course for each of the toddlers at the table. Incredible policy which will undoubtedly just result in wasted food!

The food was good. The mozzarella sticks were great. The pasta was not fresh and the sauces although tasty were nothing special. The waitress was polite. The shop was beautiful, but it was a bit cold.

Amazing food and service by Bogumi

Booked 2 weeks ahead got given table right near kitchen. The poor waitress ( who was amazing) had the entire floor to look after.. Drinks were decent but food was really overrated. We had 3 different pastas and they were seriously ordinary. Pasta itself was not great and sauces were lacking flavour. Entrees were ok but a very average meal and not value for money.

The food is simply amazing, service is friendly & fast, and the prices are very nice for the location. Great experience every time!

You need more staff. One person per floor isn't enough. The waiter downstairs was covering over 20 customers across 10 tables. It's not a good time for the customers or the staff. They did their best. We had two pizzas - one was delicious, the other was okay.

In search of Fish and Chips we ended up in an Italian restaurant during the hours. The baked mushrooms, the Calzone pizza and the tiramisu desserts, freshly made cookies with vanilla ice cream, are highly recommended. Good service from Maya, very friendly and helpful. Price 28 pounds. With a menu that they have.

Today we were walking through South Kennington with my friend, and we came across Bella Italia restaurant, we wanted to eat pasta. The food was very delicious, the attention from Bogumil, a truly gentle man, treated us very nicely. Recommended this restaurant.

The food is not bad, but the service is terrible. We wait for 20 minutes to place the order. The waiter is not happy with our request to split the bill. It seems only two staff manage two floors’s tables. The management should allocate more capacity to avoid the staff serving with anger.

We stopped to have some nibbles and a drink during the pick time and Khaled was very nice and friendly. The team is lucky to have hard working and friendly people like him in their team. Is a win. If will have the opportunity will come back!

No bread, spaghetti ok but served and then grated cheese arrived 15 minutes later. 2 in our party of 35 are strict Halal. They had no options but pizza. Our 2 gentlemen went across the street to get a small container of halal food and returned to eat with our group upstairs. The waitress scolded him loudly.

We booked a private reservation for 35 guests tonight. Spaghetti was brought out and I declined to eat it. The portion size was way too small for dinner, and no bread and Parmesan cheese were offered. Dessert (tiramisu) was literally slid across the table in a rush and dropped in front of others. It looked like vanilla pudding with powdered chocolate on top. I usually never turn down dessert, but it was so disgusting looking that I didn't bother trying it. Regardless, I've NEVER turned down a whole dinner like this before. Instead of sitting there without a meal, I grabbed a chicken sandwich from a fast food place a few doors down and ate with the other 34 people that I was with. Apparently the server made felt obligated and entitled to complain to our group leader.... not once (he apologized), but she KEPT ON complaining to him afterwards about it! BUT WAIT..... there's MORE! She then went downstairs after grilling him and complained to a second adult, the tour guide. I'm sorry, but our whole group supplied probably over $1,000 worth of business to your place of business tonight. We were segregated upstairs where no other patrons could see us. Regardless of where the chicken sandwich came from, it is NOT that big of a deal to complain to us THREE separate times. Your female server needs to chill out, and STOP the drama otherwise reviews like this will keep on coming. I understand that it's not an ideal scenario to have food from another place inside your restaurant. I get that. But the amount of people she complained to and the amount of times she complained was unreal. Had portion sizes been bigger, had you offered bread and parmeaean for a proper Italian dish ...I probably would have eaten your food. Additionally, had you not thrown together a nasty dessert, I probably would have eaten that too. I felt like I had no other option being with a group other than to get food elsewhere. Going forward, I obviously will eat it in the place in which I ordered the food just to keep the drama to a minimum, but also regardless --- a server has no place calling out customers, slamming food on the table and sliding it across the table. Cliff notes: very aggressive and rude server, food served poorly, small portion sizes, and way too many corners were cut on the quality of the food.

Today, I had lunch with friends there. We didn't want to pay the service charge, and the waiter was bothered about it. He asked for the reason. We said that there was no reason; we simply didn't want to pay the service charge. He needed a reason because of the chef. He discussed with us, saying that if we don’t mind paying it. After saying again that we didn't want to pay, he said that in the UK it’s different from Spain (trying to cheat us) and said that it was his salary. However, the salary is completely optional; it's a bonus that the customers decide to give or not. We felt very uncomfortable with the situation because we needed to say "no" many times. The waiter was an Indian male. If this always happen in Bella Italia, I don't think I will come back. Food: overpriced

My first visit to the restaurant was amazing. The team was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing throughout the evening. At all times, the waiters were very helpful and attentive, showing extraordinary treatment with us and with the surrounding tables. When talking about the food, I can say that it was exquisite and abundant. I can highly recommend Tomato Bruschetta for appetiser, Pollo Funghi pasta and Chicken, Ham and Mushroom pizza for mains. It was all a delight !!! Congratulations to the entire team who made us have a magnificent evening.

An authentic and intimate experience. Sanja served us with a great smile and delivered some exceptional food. While all the food was tasty, the gnocchi starters stuffed with cheese and a side of chilli jam, is the best I have ever had.

We were served by a lovely young lady called Azra who was attentive every step of the way. She has a great personality and sense of humour, and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Cosy atmosphere. We were not made to feel that we had to rush which was much appreciated by three friends who had a lot of catching up to do.

Simple, quick and nice people! I've been there before an appointment and did not have much time to stay, but I have been served pretty quickly and the food was good. Would recommend!
