Moma Haslemere in Waverley

Have been dining regulalry here for a couple of years, but this time the food and service were truly appalling. There is nothing left of its previous glory of wonderfully cooked food and attentive service. The steak was chewy, the olives tasted like they’d come out of a cheap tin, the bread was stale and cold, the ‘special’ fish was off and smelly (!!) and the side dishes tasted like they'd been reheated from frozen. Cannot remember having a more disgusting and off-putting dining experience than this. And to add insult to injury, we're told everything was perfectly fresh and as usual (and maybe something's wrong with us)... In particular, the arrogance of the lady who welcomes you in was truly irritating. And won't go into the time we had to wait to place our order - which had to change as few things had run out (or gone off?!), or how long plates were left uncollected, etc, etc. After complaining to 3 staff, it appears that there is a new "chef" (even though the annoyingly arrogant hostess denied it, as if we’re too stupid to see who’s cooking behind the counter). They urgently need to be kicked out, before someone goes down with food poisoning. And a new manager would also be useful, if this place is to remain open. Will not be returning here for the foreseeable future.

Great restaurant, impeccable service and the food was delicious. And HOT! We love a restaurant where the food is piping hot! The wine is great too. Definitely worth a visit, food and service comparable to The Ivy but better value *****

Enjoyable early Saturday evening meal. My wife had sushi followed by steak and I had tempura prawns and the halibut special. Really impressed all round, food was hot, fresh and delicious, services was prompt, friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back

Went for lunch as visiting the area . What a really lovely restaurant. The waiting staff are friendly and nice . The food was very good. We will return.

I visited Moma in Haslemere after not having been for a few months. Thoroughly enjoyed previous visits, but the new menu is excellent, generous portions and good ideas done very well. No doubt the best restaurant in Haslemere. Excellent service, good wine list, extensive cocktail menu, relaxing ambience. Also re-read some older reviews and it really feels as if they have taken the constructive criticism of some onboard and improved as a result (a simpler menu, well priced and some of the stretching ideas toned down).

The best restaurant in Surrey that I have ever seen. We had a lovely dinner and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommended and once again thank you for all the effort you put to make my family enjoy a lovely evening. Great job on my lobster I really enjoyed it
