An impromptu dinner at Moma delivered on taste and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great atmosphere and service complimented delicious 2 course meal. Expensive at £115 for two but justified.

A number of items on the menu unavailable. Not many other options. The sea bass was OK but could have been warmer. Small fish and very small amount of mash was a bit disappointing for the price. Overall the service was great but the menu and portion size could be improved.

This is such a special place for us. Somewhere we came with my sister and after she died, with her little one. They have always treated us all so warmly, beautiful , gourmet food while also welcoming all our kids, absolutely love these people and the menu. First time visiting MOMA and we weren't dissapointed. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, to the time we left. Food was fantastic, and the whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. If you haven't been yet, you should. It's a great place to go for a special occasion.

Came here for my partners Birthday. Food was absolutely delicious! The pan fried dumplings on their specials are especially good. Could have even eaten them as a main. Staff where also very friendly! They really made the evening. Even spoilt us with a very generous slice of Tiramisu. 100% will return.

Not the greatest food experience. Eight of us went for my mum’s 80th birthday on a Tuesday evening. Staff were welcoming and helpful but the food was somewhat underwhelming and overpriced. I ordered Cod which was not cooked and chewy, and was returned. It took an eternity to be brought out an alternative, by which time the entire family had finished their meal. It seemed that the kitchen was understaffed and could not cope with a half full restaurant. The staff were apologetic, but it spoilt what should have been a memorable family night out. There are better restaurants locally who offer far better quality food for the prices they charge here.

Was hesitant to go on a Monday eve, as generally, many restaurants closed and atmosphere not always the best. However, had a great meal & evening here. Pork belly was excellent and seabream also looked very good.

Our first nite out in Haslemere we discovered this restaurant by the high street . We walked in and received a such warm welcoming followed by amazing drinks and food. Was not expecting to find a place of this quality in such a quaint town. And a special thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcomed.

Best restaurant in Haslemere by far. Now with a new Japanese chef added. The sushi on the new menu is excellent. You should try the starters and rice.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the greatest experience last night. We arrived and the waiting staff caught my eye but rather than acknowledging me, walked off. Came back and showed us to the table. Starter was really good but the mains were both disappointing. Chips weren’t very crispy - tasted like they’d been in a heater for a while and not fresh. Mains were adequate but disappointing. Wine was ok but very overpriced for what it was. When we mentioned this to the staff at the end they argued with us and said we should have told them when they came to check everything was ok. We weren’t needing the meals returned - as I said it was adequate but we thought it was worth mentioning at the end. The price tag does not match the food and service. It is really important not to make the customer feel like an inconvenience when working in hospitality. Whole experience was very disappointing.

One of the best meals I can remember having in the last 5 years. The price is unbelievable given the quality of the food. My girlfriend and I both had 3 delicious courses plus wine which were all extremely high standard. Service was also great and the place itself is a great little spot well designed. I don't normally leave reviews but I felt this one deserved it.

My husband and I booked an anniversary lunch here. What a treat! MoMA has a very special ambience - special yet relaxed. The staff were professional without being stiff and unapproachable, in fact they were very kind and friendly. We are from the set menu which was exceptional value for money. The food on the main menu looked delicious and we will certainly be back. If you're looking for somewhere special to eat in the Haslemere area, this is 100% the place to go.

This was our third visit, albeit after an eighteen month gap. Food continues to be of a very high standard. We kicked off with oysters, and followed with excellent tuna tartare and beef tataki. For my main I chose duck breast, which was a perfectly cooked and delicious. The menu has many inviting items listed, and is, I believe, refreshed regularly. Everything is prepared on the premises including all accompanying sauces, marinades and flavoured mayonnaise . The wine list has a good selection of mainly European wines, at very reasonable restaurant prices given the quality of the wines on offer. Service was welcoming and efficient. Although on the night we chose more costly items, a delicious 3 course meal could be had for under £50pp without drinks but with service included. Highly recommended. We won’t leave it another eighteen months to our next visit. Update: Great dinner with family & friends last evening (March 2024). Food quality very high as in my prior visits. The weekday menu is now augmented by an extremely good value set menu; 2 courses for £19.75, and 3 courses for £22.50. Given the standard of cooking, this is tremendous value for money. Out of our party of 7, we had one taker of their 3 course menu, the rest were a la carte. Including cocktails, wines and beers, the total with service came to ~£66 per head. Stunning value. I continue to highly recommend.

What a restaurant! Every staff member was lovely and welcoming, even the chefs you get to walk by and see!! The service was tip top, i even told my partner you could tell they pride on service! Finally the food, WOW!! it was absolutely amazing! I had the scallops to start and my partner had the king prawns, then I had Pork and my partner had the lamb rack, we both tried each others and they were both just absolutely divine! We couldn't stop talking about the experience the majority of the weekend and have recommended to all family members and friends. I'm not often one to leave a review, but when it's an 10/10 experience i have to share.

The food and ambience at Moma is always second to none. We have been so many times and never once been anything less than completely impressed with the food and lovely service. We recently had our entire wedding reception at Moma, and it was incredible. The team were excellent at planning everything, and executed it to perfection. All our friends are still talking about the food (sea bream and pork belly, some of the best) and demanding a return. An incredible restaurant and one we are very lucky to have in Haslemere, and better than anything we have had elsewhere.

WHAT A GEM Stumbled across this beautiful restaurant which made us feel welcomed from the very first step in. Greeted by the door and showed to a table immediately. I must admit the attention to detail in their decor was fantastic. A tranquil dining experience from the finest touches of fresh products put together with passion by the chef and attentive yet not intrusive service made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place !!

We enjoyed our evening at MOMA very much. The service was friendly, warm and professional. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and the server overheard us and brought my friend a birthday treat with candle and song! The menu was creative, and the food and wine were delicious and soul satisfying. I highly recommend MOMA if you are looking for a restaurant to treat family and good friends, for celebrating or a good catch-up.

We are regulars at MOMA and we honestly can’t speak more highly of this restaurant. The food is absolutely divine; highly recommend the beef cheek! I’ve ordered several dishes and each one has been fantastic. Great flavours and clearly the best quality ingredients. The staff are always so welcoming and attentive and honestly can’t do enough for you. They always remember our orders / preferences which is so lovely; they really make you feel like a valued customer. I don’t often leave a Google review for a restaurant (and we eat out a lot) but after the amazing meal and service we received tonight, I just had to leave the best review. I can’t recommend this place enough; we never leave disappointed. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or just a lovely mid week meal. 10/10!!

From the initial welcome through taking our order and serving the meal, we found the service to be well-judged: friendly, smiley and helpful without crossing the line into being over-attentive or intrusive. The waiting team's knowledge of the menu and drinks inspired confidence. There was a good range of choices available for us as non meat-eaters and the quality of the food did not disappoint -- in fact it was above what we'd have expected at these prices. One of us had the fixed price menu (we were there at lunchtime) and there was no evidence of scrimping, the food appeared to be every bit as good as off the a-la-carte. Our only gripe is that the hard surfaces produce a lot of noise and this is exacerbated every time the cutlery makes contact with the crockery, which has a weird sandpapery finish. A 12.5% service charge, which we were happy to pay, is automatically added to the bill.

Moma restaurant is nothing short from heaven on earth. The food was astounding and beautifully presented, the flavours were absolutely sensational. The atmosphere of this restaurant was cosy yet modern, with lovely welcoming staff. Gorgeous food and a gorgeous evening.

First time here and we were so impressed. Service was London standard. All the staff were so professional and friendly. Couldn’t fault the food. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful evening at the Moma on Friday night. We were greeted at the door by the delightful manageress who made us feel very welcome and had checked up on when we had been before. She let us decide which table we wanted which we always like. The choice of starters and mains is excellent and when the food arrived it was to die for. The presentation was beautiful and the flavours intense. Each mouthful was a riot. When it came to deserts there was also fantastic choice and the chocolate fondant was just the prefect mix of beautifully cooked outside and lots of runny chocolate sauce on the inside. We can't believe that we can have such a fanatic meal in such friendly surroundings for the price, especially these days. Thanks to everyone at the Moma for giving us such a wonderful evening and making the hours drive from home to get there more than worthwhile.

Went with family on Friday evening. The service was excellent from start to finish. The food was stunning, all four of us had different dishes and all said the same. The champagne and wine that we, my brother, chose were beautiful. I’ve had some lovely meals over the years and this is way up there as one of the best. I can’t recommend Moma enough

A party of 10 came here to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were polite and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous time.

Went to Moma last weekend with my family. We all really enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. A little on the expensive side especially after adding side dishes! but you get what you pay for and we will definitely be returning.

*Update March 2023* significant improvement in menu, quality of food and service. This time we came for Lunch on a Saturday and it was excellent. Both the lamb and the beef dishes we had were superb. This restaurant is now definitely worth a visit and has overcome many of the early issues. Probably the best restaurant for some distance. We need places like this in Haslemere.

We rang to book a table for 2 people for the same evening and Moma squeezed us in. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly, the food was incredible (my husband is still talking about the Octopus starter) and the atmosphere was vibrant! Would definitely recommend!!! We will be going back!!

What a fantastic restaurant the fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese some how really works. A testament to a great chef. The team deliver an awesome service with amazing food. The octopus starter is out of this world!! I can highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and will be back for more Thank you for such a great evening.

I was really looking forward to this restaurant but was left feeling rather disappointed. Poor service (over an hour waiting for our mains despite the restaurant not being full). Exceptionally high prices for bland, small portions (burrata didn't come with bread, the prawn small plate was over £14 and we were served just 2 prawns which were cold and not seasoned). The mushroom risotto was cooked well however had zero seasoning too. We were charged over £4 for tap water. Service charge should have been taken off as it was a really poor, disappointing meal.

Highly recommend having a meal at this restaurant, the food is amazing and the service impeccable.

The food was amazing I had the teriyaki beef starter which was incredible and the sea bass which was fresh and full of flavour. My virgin mojito was refreshing, minty and well made. The staff were warm and very friendly. Ambiance was modern yet comfortable and music was soft enough that the baby slept through. 5 stars all round a very nice experience. I highly recommend a visit to MOMA

Beautiful restaurant, amazing food that you wouldn’t get anywhere else in haslemere. The waitresses were so friendly and thoughtful. The cocktails were amazing quality. Everything was perfect and we had the best evening here. I can’t wait to come back for our next celebration. No other restaurant will do now.

Moma was a hit! The team we so helpful and patient. We, a slight rowdy group of 12 Americans, Australians and English on a quiet Monday night might have posed a challenge but the Moma team were excellent. The food and drinks were exceptionally good. Best dark and stormy I had in England(the alcohol is strong with this one) As the lovely waitress stated “the lamb is the most popular dish” and she wasn’t wrong as 2nd lamb dishes were ordered along side dessert, and, oh my, the Chocolate Fondant was heavenly. If you are near the area soon, definitely book in for a meal! 10/10 Superb!

Second visit to Moma. It has a great vibe and staff are welcoming and friendly. Service was slow, reason given “it was busy”, it was a Saturday night and staff should be prepared. Fish was over cooked. The rest of our party enjoyed the food. Not a brilliant wine list unless you want to pay a lot with the red and white we chose unavailable. It was disappointing.

The staff are friendly, place looks great. but sadly the food wasn’t that good, but came with a high price tag. I wouldn’t go back. Nor recommend.
