Molly's Cafe The Green in Birmingham

Entramos en Mollys café la mayoría de los sábados para el desayuno y normalmente no tenemos problemas, pero hoy no fue una experiencia que queremos nunca más. Para empezar notamos que la mayoría de las mesas estaban ocupadas o no habían sido limpiadas, había platos sucios de comida sin comer, tazas medio llenas de bebidas. Había clientes esperando comida o para ser servidos. No había servilletas, escuchamos a un cliente quejarse de esperar un bocadillo la próxima vez que se quejó le preguntaron si quería pan integral solo para que le dijeran que no había pan integral, se fue. Hicimos nuestro pedido, luego despejamos una mesa y esperamos, no había tenedores que se tenían, ya que no se habían limpiado de las mesas y los cuchillos en los cubiertos estaban sucios. Nos sirvieron solo para descubrir que los huevos fritos estaban mal cocidos, la clara del huevo estaba corrida. Los clientes se iban sin ser atendidos y escuché que un cliente dijo que se iban para ir a Chas Manns ya que el servicio y la comida era mucho mejor y valía la pena pagar un poco extra. Un cliente comentó sobre el servicio solo para que le dijeran que el propietario había cortado los turnos de parte del personal para ahorrar dinero y para terminar el jabón en el inodoro había sido diluido, obviamente para ahorrar dinero. Tuvimos que limpiar la mesa con toallitas húmedas ya que no se habían limpiado de los clientes anteriores. Creo que deberían ser investigados por la limpieza.

Recuerda que este café siempre estuvo ocupado. No entró nadie aquí, esperó 30 minutos por comida, faltan hongos, no salchichas Lashford como en el menú. ¿Este lugar está bajo nueva propiedad?

Pida alimentos de este lugar para que vengan cubiertos de sangre cuando vengan.

Esperé media hora para 2 desayunos. Entonces mis hijas desayunaron mal con los tomates, así que pidió que esperaran otros 5 minutos antes de que salieran fríos. Todavía esperando su brindis que había declarado que tiene alergias a los lácteos. La tostada salió unos 5 minutos después con mantequilla puesta. Tampoco es barato.

Al principio nos sentimos atraídos a Mollys café debido a los precios razonables y el hecho de que utilizaba salchichas Lashford que se hicieron locales. Nuestra primera experiencia para desayunar fue muy buena, luego el café cambió de manos y lentamente durante un par de meses o así fue bajando constantemente. Un miembro del personal nos dijo que la nueva dirección quería optar por alimentos más baratos e inferiores y se le informó que perderían clientes si cambiaba de proveedor allí, por lo que aumentaron los precios en todo el menú. No solo que el tamaño de la porción parecía ser más pequeño. Si optas por la opción de un sándwich la calidad es muy mala, sin untar en el sándwich frío (jamón, queso, ensalada, etc.) Cómo se las arreglan para mantener allí el estado de higiene de 5 estrellas está más allá de mí, ya que las mesas no se limpiaron después de cada cliente, el piso es en el mejor de los casos grosero, odio pensar cuando las instalaciones del inodoro se limpiaron por última vez también la falta de papel higiénico y la disponibilidad de servilletas de papel es un poco golpe y falta, sugiero que el ayuntamiento de Birmingham revisa allí el estado de higiene y puede ser la calificación del personal de catering. Los precios de los alimentos han aumentado tanto que su mejor relación calidad-precio en un restaurante más exclusivo. Baso mis observaciones en que fui jefe de cocina en un restaurante del centro de la ciudad.

Went there for breakfast, was ok . Not keen that non of the kitchen staff wear hairnets or hats . A couple of the kitchen staff with long hair . Also witnessed tables being cleared from previous customers but table not cleaned.cups being dried with a t towel not hygienic.

Visited this cafe after being recommended by a family member. Immediately made to feel unwelcome on arrival, staff at front counter seem very moody, lady who served us was rude. My friend who asked for an extra hash brown was immediately shut down and told that they couldn’t cook the hash browns as the fryer was broken. Who wants a full english, with no hash browns??? But felt too awkward to leave at this point. The food was presented messily on a large plate, the beans and tomatoes made most of the plate a watery mess. Our coffees were just left on the side, i don’t mind going to collect them but would’ve been nice if they could’ve at least shouted us to collect them? Felt as if they were making a point of not bringing them over to us which again I understand if that’s the way this cafe works, just would’ve been nice to be told that they were ours. The whole experience was just uncomfortable, if you’re not a regular or a middle aged male building site worker, I wouldn’t recommend.

This is our favourite place for breakfast. Their Irish fry is a thing of beauty. Absolutely superb quality sausages and lovely thick bacon. Very reasonable prices, and a charming setting to top it off. Highly recommended.

This quiet corner of Kings Norton Green offers a no frills, clean, pleasant and good value venue for morning coffee/brunch/tea etc. I usually meet a former colleague a couple of times a year for a reminiscence and catch up and have yet to be disappointed. Generous bacon & egg butty, toasted tea cake with jam, mug of tea and a coffee for £7.00 served by pleasant staff - what's not to like!!! :) Free parking a bonus!!

This was £6.20, with missing items, incorrect order being given and overcooked Rubbery eggs, is really overpriced and disappointing. There was supposed to be fried breadand cheese on the sandwich which are missing. I was also given bacon instead of sausage. Whilst the girl in the front was polite, the staff in the kitchen appeared to be stressed and irritated at customer orders. It was really disappointing, especially given the high price.

We visited yesterday and ordered 2 big breakfast….. most of the breakfast was palatable however the ‘ scrambled egg’ was most definitely the worst we’d ever had, it consisted of separated white and yellow particles, rather like the inside of an aero not even mixed, not a hint of butter, milk or care and attention, awful 😣

Called for some food Saturday morning at 10am was told my food would be around a hour to be delivered which I didn’t mind I called back about 11:30 to be told my food was on its way then at 12:50nearly three hours later I was told that they were just about to ring me because the driver broke down so the driver broke down up to 3 hours after I ordered my food ?very disappointed with the service and the poor excuse after waiting nearly 3hours for my order

I ordered 2 x Jacket Potatoes today using the Just Eat App. The food arrived on time but one of the potatoes was missing the coleslaw. I called up to complain and hoped that the cafe would deliver another as where I work is not that far away from them. They just said sorry (not very sincere either I may add) and told me to go onto Just Eat and request a refund. Both potatoes, on opening them to eat, were both just warm and lumpy. I would not use again. Shame! You don't expect to pay just under £13 for 2 potatoes and them being almost inedible!!

I visited here a couple of weeks ago. The woman working there, "Becky", refused to wear a mask, and was openly talking about Covid being "a hoax". If this is what she believes it is unlikely it is as safe as it should be in terms of hygiene. I left immediately, and would not recommend to anyone who is elderly or vulnerable.

So, I've been a regular to Mollys since moving close 1 year ago. The food has always been good, as have the staff. However my most recent visit was sour and bitter, and it was solely because of the staff. Firstly they asked me to move my pushchair for another table to be used- which never got used the entire time. Now, I totally totally get being courteous with a pushchair etc but my whole experience was ruined after moving it- and it didn't need to be as they didn't use the table at all and the cafe was quiet. It seems now like a pointless vendetta to be unkind and nothing else. The woman looked miserable and angry the whole time, she actually actively ignored me several times too. I'm really disappointed as I won't spend my money somewhere like this but had previously enjoyed it. This experience was too bad to excuse

I’ve been here twice now because we don’t have many local options and while the food is quite good and prepared to a good standard, I felt like I had done something personally horrible to them and they hated me and my whole family. They didn’t smile even once, ever.
